Kansas City Chiefs 5-2-0
Oakland Raiders 3-4-0

Game Recap: OAKLAND-Kansas City came off their first loss. They headed into Oakland looking for a win to improve their team to 6-1.

Kansas City settled for a field goal on their first drive. Kansas City took a 3-0 lead.

Derek Carr connected with Amari Cooper on the next drive. That gave Oakland a 7-3 lead.

Alex Smith threw a touchdown pass to Travis Kelce. That made it a 10-7 lead.

Derek Carr threw another touchdown pass to Amari Cooper. This 45-yard passing touchdown made it 14-10 Raiders. Oakland led 14-10 after one quarter of play.

Alex Smith threw a touchdown pass to Tyreek Hill in the second quarter. That gave the Chiefs a 17-14 lead. Marshawn Lynch got ejected for getting into a fight with the official. That made Oakland one dimensional offensively.

The Chiefs got a field goal. That made it 20-14 at halftime.

Dwayne Washington scored in the second half. That gave the Raiders a 21-20 lead.

Alex Smith threw another touchdown pass. That gave the Chiefs a 27-21 lead. Kansas City got another field goal later int he third quarter to make it 30-21. Kansas City led 30-21 after three quarters.

Oakland got a field goal. That made it a 30-24 game.

Oakland drove downfield. They won this game in a war of attrition. Two touchdowns were called back due to it being a yard short and then an offensive pass interference penalty. Two penalties by the Chiefs kept the game alive. Derek Carr threw a touchdown pass to Michael Crabtree. Oakland won this game 31-30.

Alex Smith went 25/36 with 342 passing yards, 3 passing touchdowns, and no interceptions. Smith displayed a valiant effort despite coming up short for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Derek Carr went 29/52 with 417 passing yards, 3 passing touchdowns, and no interceptions. He did well, but my player of the game was wide receiver Amari Cooper who had 11 receptions, 210 receiving yards, and 2 receiving touchdowns. Tight end Jared Cook Jr. had 6 receptions for 107 receiving yards. Jalen Richard had 4 receptions for 45 receiving yards at running back. Wide receiver Michael Crabtree had 3 receptions, 24 receiving yards, and 1 receiving touchdown. Oakland's offense clicked, and the Oakland Raiders ended their 4 game losing streak in a game they needed to win.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2-4-0
Buffalo Bills 4-2-0

Game Recap: BUFFALO-Tampa Bay headed to Buffalo. There were rumors about Winston not playing after his injury versus the Cardinals. Winston is back and active for Tampa Bay.

Tampa Bay got a field goal to take a 3-0 lead. Buffalo responded with a field goal to tie the game at 3-3. Tampa Bay got another field goal to make it 6-3. Tampa Bay led 6-3 after one quarter.

LeSean McCoy finally got his first rushing touchdown for Buffalo in 2017. Buffalo took a 10-6 lead. Steven Hauschka missed a field goal to make it 13-6. Matt Milano picked off Jameis Winston late in the first half to get his first career interception. Buffalo led 10-6 at halftime.

Tyrod Taylor threw a touchdown pass to his former backup quarterback at Virginia Tech. Logan Thomas caught a receiving touchdown to give Buffalo a 17-6 lead.

Doug Martin ran for a huge first down. Mike Evans caught a pass to get Tampa Bay into the red zone. O.J. Howard caught a touchdown pass from Jameis Winston. That made it a 17-13 game after three quarters.

Buffalo got a field goal in the fourth quarter to make it 20-13. Jameis Winston connected with O.J. Howard once again. That tied the game at 20-20 in the fourth quarter.

Jameis Winston threw a touchdown to Mike Evans. That gave Tampa Bay a 27-20 lead.

Buffalo got a touchdown thanks to LeSean McCoy. That tied the game at 27. Tampa Bay fumbled the ball and Buffalo recovered it. Steven Hauschka kicked a field goal. That gave Buffalo a 30-27 lead.

Buffalo won this game 30-27. LeSean McCoy was the biggest reason Buffalo won. McCoy had 23 carries, 91 rushing yards, 5 receptions, 31 receiving yards, 28 touches, 122 total yards, and 2 rushing touchdowns. McCoy finally was able to run the football effectively and his ability to dominate in the running game led to Buffalo winning.

Cincinnati Bengals 2-4-0
Pittsburgh Steelers 5-2-0

Game Recap: PITTSBURGH-Cincinnati headed into Pittsburgh with a two game winning streak. Pittsburgh now controls their own destiny in the AFC with a win today.

First quarter, Antonio Brown gets by Cincinnati's free safety for a touchdown. Pittsburgh leads 7-0.

Cincinnati made some big plays on their first drive after Pittsburgh scored. A.J. Green got by Artie Burns in coverage. Left guard Clint Boling did a superb job opening a huge hole for Joe Mixon which was his biggest gain of the season. Vince Williams made the tackle. Williams led the Steelers in tackles last week against the Chiefs. Green got by Ross Cockrell, Artie Burns, and William Gay in triple coverage to make a big catch which set up a first down and a touchdown to Brandon LaFell where the Bengals played hot potato after scoring that tied this game up 7-7. It was 7-7 after one quarter with Pittsburgh deciding to adjust by putting Joe Haden on A.J. Green for the duration of the game.

Pittsburgh took a 14-7 lead in the second quarter. JuJu Smith-Schuster played Hide and Seek after watching Lafell play hot potato. Pittsburgh led 14-7.

Andy Dalton to Tyler Kroft. That tied the game at 14-14.

Le'veon Belll stiff armed Bengals cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick which put Pittsburgh in field goal range. Cincinnati really wasn't the same on the secondary after that play since Brown was able to expose this defense when he wanted to. Pittsburgh led 17-14.

With Kirkpatrick taking that stiff arm Antonio Brown made a big play to give the Steelers a field goal. Pittsburgh led 20-14 at halftime.

Pittsburgh got another field goal in the third quarter to make it 23-14. Then Joe Haden picked off Andy Dalton to give Pittsburgh another field goal to give the Steelers a 26-14 lead in the third quarter. Pittsburgh won this game 29-14 and Joe Haden was the player of this game as he limited A.J. Green to 1 reception the entire game following the first quarter once Pittsburgh adjusted. He also had 1 deflection from a pass breakup and 1 interception. The rest of Pittsburgh's defense came to play too after that point with Haden being the guy who led that defense since Watt and Dupree made big plays after the Haden pick so Haden was the player that stood out for Pittsburgh today.

Baltimore Ravens 3-4-0
Minnesota Vikings 5-2-0

Game Recap: MINNESOTA-Both of these teams are known for their defense. Which defense would step up in Minnesota.

Case Keenum threw an interception to Brandon Carr early in the game. That interception put Baltimore on the scoreboard. Flacco drove downfield only to watch Justin Tucker get the Ravens a field goal.

Matt Judon's illegal use of hands penalty extended Minnesota's next drive allowing the Vikings to settle for a field goal. That tied the game at 3-3. It was 3-3 after one quarter.

Case Keenum drove Minnesota to the Baltimore 40-yard line. He completed a 7-yard pass to Laquon Treadwell, Minnesota's 2016 first round pick. That completion got Minnesota to the Baltimore 33-yard line allowing them to kick another field goal which gave the Vikings a 6-3 lead.

Justin Tucker made a 57-yard field goal on Baltimore's next drive. That tied the game at 6-6.

Minnesota got a field goal near the end of the first half. That made it a 9-6 game at halftime.

Minnesota drove the football downfield to begin the third quarter. It finally looked like the Vikings would get their first touchdown. Adam Thialen got called with offensive pass interference so Minnesota settled for a field goal with a 12-6 lead.

Nick Easton did a fantastic job opening up a hole for Latavius Murray to run through along with left tackle Riley Reiff. Minnesota took a 18-6 lead after missing the extra point.

Baltimore had a 5 minute drive that resulted in a field goal. That made it 18-9 with the Vikings having twice the amount of points Baltimore had after three quarters.

Minnesota got a couple of field goals in the fourth quarter to make this a 24-9 game. Baltimore scored as time expired with Minnesota winning 24-16. The over or under was 39.5 and most people took the under even though I told people to take the over earlier this week in our 2017 NFL Week 7 Predictions page.

Minnesota's offensive line kept Baltimore from getting any sacks. They deserve credit for that plus they opened up lanes and allowed Latavius Murray to have 18 carries, 113 rushing yards , and 1 rushing touchdown. Latavius Murray and Minnesota' soffensive line allowed the Vikings to prevail.

New York Jets 3-4-0
Miami Dolphins 4-2-0

Game Recap: MIAMI-New York headed to Miami eager to sweep Miami. Jay Cutler had other plans.

Both Josh McCown and Jay Cutler managed to score on their opening drives. Both defenses stepped up after that until Josh McCown threw a second passing touchdown in the first quarter to make it 14-7 Jets.

Darron Lee got called with an unnecessary roughness penalty which put Miami in great field position. Unfortunately Mike Pouncey was called with offensive holding as the first quarter ended with Miami's starting center pushing the Dolphins ten yards back. Jets led 14-7 after one quarter.

Darron Lee atoned for his penalty by forcing a fumble in the second quarter. Unfortunately the fumble went out of bounds. Miami ended the drive and punted the ball back to the Jets.

The Dolphins held the Jets to a three and out on their drive. Buster Skryne's defensive pass interference on third down kept Miami's drive alive. Pouncey had another illegal use of hands penalty which made it first and fourteen, but Darron Lee had a facemask penalty which kept Miami's drive alive with Jay Cutler throwing his second touchdown pass of the game to Anthony Fasano.

An offensive holding penalty by Austin Seferian-Jenkins took the Jets out of Miami territory on their next drive. That forced the Jets to punt the football.

The Prophet known as Muhammad Wilkerson intercepted Jay Cutler. That put the Jets at the Miami one yard line allowing Josh McCown to scramble into the end zone for a touchdown which gave the Jets a 21-14 lead. New York led 21-14 at halftime.

Miami got the ball to start the secnd half. Jay Cutler got injured and left the game. Matt Moore took over and had no success on his first drive in the second half.

Two penalties on the Jets negated their chances of doing anything to start the second half. Matt Moore went three and out on his second drive. Austin Seferian-Jenkins made up for his holding penalty with a big third down conversion for the Jets. Bilal Powell was stuffed for a five yard loss, but a facemask penalty by Ndamukong Suh put the Jets in great field position where Austin Seferian-Jenkins caught a touchdown which made it a 28-14 game in the third quarter. New York led 28-14 after three quarters.

Matt Moore threw a touchdown pass to Kenny Stills. That made it a 28-21 game. Buster Skryne had 2 defensive holding penalties on Miami's next drive that gave Matt Moore the field position to throw another touchdown which tied the game at 28.

Bobby McCain had a huge interception which put Miami in field goal range to win this game. Miami trailed 28-14 in the fourth quarter, yet pulled off a huge comeback win without Ryan Tannehill or Jay Cutler to improve to 4-2 on the season.

Cameron Wake was my player of the game for Miami. Wake had 4 solo tackles, 1 assisted tackle, 5 total tackles, and 2.5 sacks in Miami's win over the Jets. Even though New York scored 28 on Miami Wake faced weak offensive tackles on the Jets and exploited that weakness all game giving McCown less time to throw the football.

Arizona Cardinals 3-4-0
Los Angeles Rams 5-2-0

Game Recap: LONDON-This game was in London at normal NFL time at 1 PM EST. This was a big game for both teams.

Los Angeles won this game 33-0. Carson Palmer suffered an injury that looks as about as severe as the Aaron Rodgers injury. Running back Todd Gurley had 22 carries, 106 rushing yards, and 1 rushing touchdown. Gurley guided the Rams to a 5-2 start despite a rough first quarter.

Carolina Panthers 4-3-0
Chicago Bears 3-4-0

Game Recap: CHICAGO-This was a homecoming game for Mitchell Trubisky with him being from North Carolina and the Panthers heading to Chicago. I figured him and Cam Newton would ball out. Instead we got a dreadful defensive contest.

Cam Newton got sacked by Danny Trevathian to begin this game. Then he responded with multiple first down completions to Kelvin Benjamin before topping that off with a 14-yard scramble. He guided the Panthers to the Chicago 24-yard line before Eddie Jackson recovered a fumble for Chicago which made it 7-0. Eddie Jackson also had a pick 6 off of Cam Newton in a very forgettable 17-3 contest where Chicago won even with Trubisky going 4/7 with 107 passing yards.

Tennessee Titans 4-3-0
Cleveland Browns 0-7-0

Game Recap: CLEVELAND-Tennessee headed to Cleveland following a Monday Night win over the Colts hoping to get back to a winning record for the first time since week 3.

The big storylines from this game were DeShone Kizer getting benched again after being re-named the starter and Joe Thomas leaving this game injured at left tackle. Both teams traded field goals with Ryan Succop being the player for the Titans that stood out. Cleveland's defense impressed, but the offense is just in complete shambles plus Hugh Jackson is 1-22 now as head coach.

New Orleans Saints 4-2-0
Green Bay Packers 4-3-0

Game Recap: GREEN BAY-New Orleans headed to Green Bay. Brett Hundley also made his first career start.

Aaron Jones had a 46-yard rushing touchdown. That made this a 7-0 game.

Drew Brees drove New Orleans downfield on his first drive. He was eventually intercepted by Damarious Randall. Drew Brees threw another pick to Davon House. The Packers led 7-0 after one quarter.

Mark Ingram scored on a rushing touchdown that tied the game at 7-7. Brett Hundley got a rushing touchdown to make it 14-7. Richard Rodgers was called with offensive pass interference and that kept the Packers from taking a 17-7 lead at halftime since Green Bay was at the New Orleans 31-yard line in field goal range.

Drew Brees led New Orleans to a touchdown drive which made it 14-13 since the Saints mised the extra point. It looked like Drew Brees would put together a second consecutive touchdown drive, but a stupid holding penalty on Hill forced the Saints to settle for a field goal which made it 16-14. New Orleans led 16-14 after three quarters.

Mason Crosby kicked a field goal in the fourth quarter. Green Bay regained the lead 17-16. Will Lutz kicked a field goal to make it 19-17 before New Orleans made it 26-17 thanks to Breees. New Orleans won this game 26-17.

Brett Hundley sucked today. Hundley showed he's not the quarterback of the future versus the New Orleans Saints. He still has time to turn things around, but 87 passing yards and 1 interception against this defense is inexcusable.

Mark Ingram carried the Saints to this win and is my player of the game for New Orleans for the second week in a row. Ingram had 22 carries, 105 rushing yards, and 1 rushing touchdown in this win over the the Green Bay Packers.

Jacksonville Jaguars 4-3-0
Indianapolis Colts 2-5-0

Game Recap: INDIANAPOLIS-Leonard Fournette was inactive for this game. Andrew Luck was still out with an injury.

Jacksonville shutout the Colts 27-0. Blake Bortles went 18/26 with 330 passing yards, 1 passing touchdown and no interceptions. Blake Bortles helped Jacksonville win without Leonard Fournette plus Cam Robinson get injured at left tackle. Calias Campbell also got his tenth sack of the season through 7 games. For the Colts Malik Hooker tore his ACL and MCL and is out for the rest of the season.

Dallas Cowboys 3-3-0
San Francisco 49ers 0-7-0

Game Recap: SAN FRANCISCO-Ezekiel Elliott's suspension was overturned once again. This means Elliott's suspension was on hiatus for another week.

Ezekiel Elliott ran wild in this game with 26 carries, 147 rushing yards, and 2 rushing touchdowns. Elliott also caught a 72-yard receiving touchdown in a 40-10 win over Dallas.

Seattle Seahawks 4-2-0
New York Giants 1-6-0

Game Recap: NEW YORK-Pete Carroll has never lost in Met Life Stadium. I was curious to see if the Giants would extend their winning streak.

Neither team scored in the first quarter. Eli Manning threw a touchdown pass to Evan Engram to make it 7-0. That was the peak for the New York Giants in terms of offensive success in this game.

Seattle got a field goal at the end of the second quarter. New York led 7-3 at halftime.

Russell Wilson threw a touchdown pass to Doug Baldwin. That gave Seattle a 10-7 lead after three quarters. The big take away from this game was that the Giants had the ball for 10 minutes and 17 seconds in the third quarter and failed to build on their 7-3 lead.

New York had a chance to tie this game at 10-10 in the fourth quarter. Aldrick Rosas missed a 47-yard field goal that would have tied the game at 10. New York had another chance to score, but Jarran Reede forced a fumble that Frank Clark recovered as both of Seattle's 2016 draft picks on the defensive line teamed up to force a fumble. Seattle retained their 10-7 lead and Russell WIlson threw another touchdown to Paul Richardson which made it a 17-7 game following the forced fumble which resulted in a turnover by Seattle after Eli coughed the game up. Russell Wilson threw another touchdown on Seattle's next possession which made it a 24-7 win for the Seattle Seahawks.

Russell Wilson was the player of this game. Wilson went 27/39 with 334 passing yards, 3 passing touchdowns, and no interceptions. Wilson had so much time from an offensive line that prevented New York's entire defense from sacking Wilson. New York's backup free safety was the only player to sack Wilson plus the offensive line opened up 105 rushing yards even though no running back touched 100 yards individually. Seattle's got one of the best defenses in the NFL and Russell Wilson is a great quarterback. Nobody can beat Seattle when their offensive line shows up not even the Patriots.

Denver Broncos 3-3-0
Los Angeles Chargers 3-4-0

Game Recap: LOS ANGELES-Denver headed to StudHub Stadium home of the Los Angeles Galaxy who suffered a 5-1 loss to F.C. Dallas to end the season in the MLS in Dallas. I'm sure Denver could get a measly safety and one up the Galaxy even if they lose this game.

That didn't happen. The Los Angeles Chargers delivered a 21-0 win over the Denver Broncos. Philip Rivers went 15/26 with 183 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, and no interceptions. Rivers was the reason the Chargers improved to 3-4 as the Chargers are now riding a three game winning streak heading into New England.

Atlanta Falcons 3-3-0
New England Patriots 5-2-0

Game Recap: NEW ENGLAND-Speaking of New England we have a Super Bowl 51 rematch. Atlanta headed to New England for a rematch after blowing a 28-3 lead in Super Bowl 51. This time the Falcons have Desmond Trufant at cornerback unlike Super Bowl 51. The Patriots also have Rob Gronkwoski at tight end. New England does not have Julian Edelman their Super Bowl 51 hero though.

New England got the ball to start the game. Desmond Trufant's holding penalty gave New England a first down. Rob Gronkwoski's third down conversion on New England's opening drive was the only third down conversion of the entire first quarter.

New England got penalized more by these officials than North Korea during this first quarter. Some of the calls included holding penalties on Nate Solder and Patrick Chung. Offensive pass interference by Rob Gronkowski negated a huge first down.

New England ended the first quarter with a blocked field goal. Nate Solder had a another holding penalty and this guy is making $11-million in a contract year with the Patriots so New England may get a new left tackle. Nate Solder got decked by a 205 lb Brian Poole on a Robert Alford interception. Adrian Clayborn got called for roughing the passer on that play. Atlanta was demoralized after that. Tom Brady capped off that drive with a touchdown pass to Brandin Cooks.

Gostkowski got a field goal New England led 10-0. Julio Jones reached 8,000 receiving yards and celebrated. Unfortunately that's a sin since the Falcons didn't get a third down conversion.

Julio didn't fuck up as badly as Grady Jarrett though. Thanks to Jarrett's illegal use of hands penalty Tom Brady threw a touchdown to James White. New England led 17-0 at halftime.

New England got a field goal in the third quarter. New England led 20-0 after three quarters.

Atlanta finally got a touchdown in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately, Ne England won 23-7. Tom Brady went 21/29 with 249 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, and no interceptions. Brady guided New England to another victory over the Falcons.

Washington Redskins 3-3-0
Philadelphia Eagles 6-1-0

Game Recap: PHILADELPHIA-Philadelphia embarrassed Washington back in week 1. The rematch took place on Monday Night Football. Rookie Jonathan Allen got placed on season ending injured reserve prior to the start of this game.

Both quarterbacks played well in Philadelphia's 34-24 win over Washington. Jason Peters and Jordan Hicks got injured and did not return from the game. Morgan Moses also got injured at right tackle for Washington. My player of the game was Malcolm Jenkins the free safety for Philadelphia who had 10 total tackles and a sack in tonights win over the Eagles.
