Game Recap: IRELAND-Minnesota faced Pittsburgh. This was the NFL's first game in Ireland. Jaylen Warren was out at running back for Pittsburgh. I had Gainwell graded higher than Kaleb Johnson when both running backs were draft eligible, so this was the correct decision by Pittsburgh.

I wanted to get a photo with both quarterbacks shaking hands and make Jordan Love and Dak Prescott co players of the game since both quarterbacks threw for over 300 passing yards while avoiding turnovers. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a photo with both quarterbacks shaking hands. I already went with Jordan Love as my player of the game in week 2 when Green Bay defeated Washington. Love was more reckless with clock management, so if I can only pick one quarterback as player of the game, I will go with Dak Prescott. I will give Jordan Love an honorable mention for the tie though.

Through four weeks of play 11 quarterbacks have won player of the game. Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert, Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, and Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford each one player of the game one time over the past four weeks.

I'll now rank the top 10 quarterbacks through the first four games as the odd man out among my group of eleven quarterbacks that won player of the game once is Daniel Jones with Caleb Williams and Jaxson Dart both getting honorable mentions despite neither quarterback winning player of the game. If I had to rank the top 10 quarterbacks in 2025 based on the ten players of the game at quarterback not named Daniel Jones.

I would rank Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels at 10 with Jayden Daniels rounding out the top 10 in a sophomore slump. Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford comes in at 9 since he only had 1 game with over 300 total yards this week against an injured Indianapolis Colts secondary.

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff comes in at 8 on my top 10 quarterbacks list with his only 300 yard game against an injured Chicago Bears team that is depleted at cornerback in week 2. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes comes in at 7 after two rocky games in weeks 2 and 3 as he had over 300 total yards in week 1 in a loss to my next guy before winning player of the game in week 4 for the first time this season.

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert at 6 since he dealt in week 1, but has been more of a game-manager since. Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott at 5 since he has two games with 300 passing yards despite throwing a pick in the week 2 overtime win against the New York Giants while also leading the NFL in passing yards through four weeks.

Baker Mayfield comes in at 4 since he has 0 games with 300 total yards in 2025 despite having three fourth quarter comebacks. Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen comes in at 3 because he only has 1 game with 300 total yards this season in week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens, but Josh Allen is the best quarterback in the league right now as well as the reigning MVP with Allen doing a masterful job avoiding turnovers despite only getting player of one time due to James Cook having 100 rushing yards each of the last three weeks with rookie strong safety Jonas Sanker being the only player to intercept Josh Allen this season in this weeks game it took four weeks for a defensive back that intercepted Josh Allen and it was a rookie of all defensive backs.

Drake Maye finishes at 2 since him and Jordan Love were the only two quarterbacks that got consideraton for player of the game two times this season as Josh Allen won player of the game nine times last season before winning MVP, so far James Cook is the only player to win player of the game three times with Jonathan Taylor, Travis Etienne, and Fred Warner being the only players to win player of the game twice this season.

Drake Maye is only the fifth quarterback in NFL history to have most consecutive games with a 75 percent completion percentage and 2 passing touchdowns becoming the fifth quarterback to do that for three consecutive games joining Kurt Warner, Peyton Manning who did that twice, Aaron Rodgers, and with Tom Brady whose the only quarterback to do that four games in a row. All of thsose quarterbacks did not get a 75 percent completion percentage and 2 passing touchdowns in consecutive games until year 6. Drake Maye is already doing that in year two and Maye was gonna be my player of the game for week 4 this week until I found a picture of New England Patriots left tackle Will Campbell as New England's 2025 first round pick at left tackle is making things easier for New England's 2024 first round pick at quarterback as Will Campbell has now gone three games in a row without allowing a sack and has gone two games in a row without allowing a quarterback pressure. Drake Maye had 300 total yards in both of New England's losses won player of the game in week 2 and would have been player of the game in week 4 had it not been for the play of left tackle Will Campbell. I would make the argument that Drake Maye has been the most consistent quarterback in the NFL this season in terms of completing passes right now, but the excessive turnovers keep him from the top spot.

Jordan Love was the only quarteback to have 300 total yards in 2 games outside of Dak Prescott and he's the only quarterback to have 2 games with 300 total yards while having 0 interceptions in the NFL through the first four games which is my main argument for Jordan Love at 1. His only turnover came at the hands of Grant Delpit with Green Bay being 3-0 when Love avoids turnovers with Jordan Love garnering consideration for player of the game in week 2.

The top 3 are interchangable with Jordan Love, Drake Maye, and Josh Allen as you can honestly argue any of those three warrant being the top quarterback in the NFL. You can also make arguements for Baker Mayfield if you appreciate fourth quarter comebacks or Dak Prescott if you want to acknowledge the player of the game in this Sunday Night Football game that ended in a 40-40 tie between Dallas and Green Bay as the top quarterback in the league. Josh Allen would be my MVP if I had to vote a quarterback MVP, but I honeslty think Josh Allen's teammate James Cook deserves it more. The only reason Allen came in third on my list is because Maye and Love got consideration for player of the game twice while Allen only won player of the game in week 1 despite the Buffalo Bills being the only 4-0 team on this list.

Game Recap: MIAMI-The New York Jets got Mason Taylor back froman injury ater he missed week 3. New York deployed a weird formation with six offensive linemen, two tight ends, one running back, and one wide receiver for their starting lineup on offense with a 4-2-5 nickel defense on defense. Miami deployed a three wide receiver setwith Miami deploying a weird 4-4-3 formation on defense with only one cornerback and two safeties which is the closest thing we will get to Buddy Ryan's 4-6 defense that the Chicago Bears defensive coordinator used when the Bears won won Super Bowl 20, their only Super Bowl under head coach Mike Ditka in the 80's.
