Defensive Backs Combine Recap: Jamal Adams should be the top defensive back drafted. Despite his 4.56 40 time, he dominated in coverage and aced the gauntlet drill. Adams should be the top defensive back drafted.

Marshon Lattimore dominated the 40-yard dash. He got injured after that and was not able to compete after that in coverage drills. Despite the injury, I still believe that Marshon Lattimore is now a top 5 pick. Lattimore's teammate at Ohio State in Malik Hooker did not compete in the 2017 NFL Combine due to injuries, but should be the next defensive back drafted after Jamal Adams and Marshon Lattimore. Lattimore's cornerback teammate Gareon Conley also had a spectacular day and Ohio State may end up having all 3 defensive backs going in the top half of the draft.

Sidney Jones displayed some tight hips when running. I think that will help Jones.

The biggest losers today were Florida cornerbacks Teez Tabor and Quincy Wilson. Both cornerbacks look like second round picks now.

Cordrea Tankerlsey, Marlon Humphrey, Tre'Davious White, and Adoree Jackson all had phenomenal days. The thing is that all four cornerbacks could be second round picks even in such a deep group. I think Tankersley is a first round corner though and will be third in my next cornerback rankings.

Obi Melifonwu dominated for Connecticut. Leifonwu is a first round prospect. Budda Baker would also be in the discussion if he wasn't so undersized. North Carolina State free safety Josh Jones looks like a second rounder. Marcus Williams out of Utah had a rough day and could end up slipping to the third round now.

Chidobe Awuzie looked great in zone coverage. Awuzie had an awesome combine and has a chance to sneak into the second round with an awesome Pro Day. Awuzie cemented his status as a day 2 pick and will not get out of the third round.

Brian Allen had a terrific day at cornerback. He helped himself immensely today.

Brendan Langley had an awesome combine. He struggled in teh W drill, but did well for the ost part. I think he's re-entered the third round conversation.

Howard Wilson, Quincy Wilson, and Ahkello Witherspoon really stood out with their zone coverage drills.
