Reality Check Or Smokescreen: Reality Check Buffalo is taking Power at 1. He's also probably going to return to Michigan for one more season before making his NHL debut in 2022-2023.

Reality Check Or Smokescreen: Reality Check It's also being reported that Buffalo will interview with William Eklund tomorrow.

Reality Check Or Smokescreen: Reality Check Seattle already interviewed Beniers. He's expected to be the second pick.

Reality Check Or Smokescreen: Smokescreen I don't believe Dylan Guenther gets to 5. It's worth reporting that both the Columbus Blue Jackets who pick at 5 and the Vancouver Canucks who pick at 9 have had multiple interviews with Dylan Guenther who I believe may be the most complete prospect in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.

Reality Check Or Smokescreen: Reality Check New Jersey should take Luke Hughes at 4 unless Anaheim passes on Dylan Guenther and takes Luke Hughes at 3. Hughes has interviewed with both the Seattle Kraken and Anaheim Ducks, but New Jersey interviewed with Hughes twice. Also if Hughes is gone, Brandt Clarke could be in play at 4 since I have a higher potential grade on Clarke than Hughes. New Jersey cannot go wrong with Clarke or Hughes at 4.

Reality Check Or Smokescreen: Smokescreen It's true that William Eklund has interviewed with 20 different NHL teams including every NHl team in the top 5. Outside of New Jersey, I cannot see a team locked in on Eklund because I just like Guenther more on tape personally. He should be there for Detroit at 6. The question is would Yzerman take him at 6?

Reality Check Or Smokescreen: Smokescreen Yzerman drafts players he hasn't interviewed. Detroit didn't interview Mortiz Seider or Lucas Raymond leading up to their draft years when GM Steve Yzerman drafted those guys. This pretty much confirms that McTavish will not be a Red Wing. He could still get picked by someone in the 7-12 range. I don't see him making it to Philadelphia.
