Brandin Echols made the game-winning tackle. Pittsburgh won 21-14.
I don't think I ever remember a game where my team the New England Patriots committed five turnovers with three of them in the goal line. That and the penalties on New England when the game was tied feel like the biggest reason why the Pittsburgh Steelers won. Pittsburgh prevailed due to those turnovers, but it felt like Drake Maye outplayed Aaron Rodgers with both defenses making things hectic for the opposing offenses. Drake Maye had 268 passing yards, 45 rushing yards, and 313 total yards. Drake Maye has had 2 games with 300 total yards, but both of those games were games New England lost at home. If De'Von Achane didn't step out of bounds this New England Patriots team would be 0-3.
Pittsburgh Steelers 3-4 middle linebacker Patrick Queen was my player of the game. Patrick Queen had 6 solo tackles, 4 assisted tackles, 10 total tackles, 2 deflections from pass breakups, 1 tackle for a loss, and held the New England Patriots trio of running backs to 74 rushing yards keeping starting running back Rhamondre Stevenson to 18 yards, backup TreVeyon Henderson to 28 rushing yards, as well as third string running back Antonio Gibson to 28 rushing yards.

The Detroit Lions offensive line was my player of the game, or maybe I should say players of the game in this context. You can make an argument of any of the five Detroit Lions offensive linemen as player of the game. Detroit Lions left tackle Taylor Decker, Detroit Lions left guard Christian Mahogany, Detroit Lions center Graham Glasgow, Detroit Lions right guard Tate Ratlidge, and Detroit Lions right tackle Penei Sewell all deserve to win player of the game. Detroit's offensive line kept Jared Goff from getting sacked while the offensive line helped Detroit get 38 carries, 224 rushing yards, and 4 rushing touchdowns. The only two offensive linemen in this picture were Taylor Decker and Christian Mahogany. Mahogany has had two dominant games in a row in the Detroit Lions two wins since losing the season opener to Green Bay. I will go with Detroit Lions left tackle Taylor Decker as the player of the game.
