NFL Conference Champ Picks 2019 NFL Conference Championship Predictions: Los Angeles Rams 14-3-0 VS New Orleans Saints 14-3-0 (-3.5), New England Patriots 12-5-0 VS Kansas City Chiefs 13-4-0 (-3)

2019 NFL Conference Championship Predictions

Can Jared Goff finally get the Rams back to Atlanta for the first time since the St. Louis Rams won Super Bowl 34?

Thanks to New England winning against the Los Angeles Chargers Tanya Holmes is 177-87. I am 173-91 on the year and since I picked the Chargers I am 3 games ahead of Jason Bantle with three games to go. Since we agree on the NFC Champion that means I am second to Tanya. Jason Bantle can clinch third place if we are both correct about the NFC Champion. Oren Shiri is a Saints fan and Jesse Lucas is a Patriots fan. The irony is that both are tied for last place at the moment.

Why the Los Angeles Rams Will Win: The combination of Jared Goff and Todd Gurley is pretty lethal. New Orleans linebackers are worse then the Dallas linebackers that gave up 200 yards to Gurley and C.J. Anderson. Left tackle Andrew Whitworth can keep right end Cameron Jordan in check. Brandin Cooks is a former Saints receiver and he may just get even with his former team. Goff has other targets like Robert Woods, Josh Reynolds, Tyler Higbee, and Gerald Everett he can throw to. The rest of the Rams offensive line is awful outside of Whitworth.

Aaron Donald, Ndamukong Suh, and Michael Brockers will be tested against an interior offensive line featuring Andrus Peat, Max Unger, and Larry Warford. The best interior defensive line in the NFC faces the best interior offensive line in the NFC in Sunday's NFC Championship Game.

The cornerback tandem of Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib is fully healthy for the first time since the Rams were undefeated. That really works in the Rams favor on Sunday. Michael Thomas had a huge game versus Philadelphia who has a lot of depth at cornerback with guys like Jalen Mills, Ronald Darby, and Rasul Douglas. Unfortunately, the cornerback tandem of Peters and Talib is much more lethal. Brees didn't face both cornerbacks at full health in his previous meeting. That is one reason why I love the Rams on Sunday.

Why the New Orleans Saints Will Win: New Orleans can win this game too though. Sheldon Rankins at defensive tackle and Marcus Davenport at defensive end have to step up. If those two get pressure on Jared Goff then this could be a very long game for the Los Angeles Rams.

Marshon Lattimore, P.J. Williams, Ken Crawley, and Cre'Von Leblanc are lethal at cornerback. You also got Von Bell and Marcus Williams at safety. New Orleans has the personnel on the secondary to limit what Jared Goff does. That is one reason why the New Orleans Saints can win the NFC. Both of these teams are pretty evenly matched with each other.

Prediction: New Orleans enters as a 3.5 point favorite. The minimum bet is $155 dollars, the maximum bet is $175 dollars with the average gambler betting around $165 dollars on this game. The over or under on this game is 57 points. I am going with Los Angeles to win and to cover with the over.

Final Score Rams 31 Saints 27

@CockyBelichick is my favorite Twitter user of all time. His twitter feed is that epic. He always inserts the #kisstherings hashtag and it is badass. I'm going to post his 5 best tweets on our site every week like David Letterman does with his top 10 jokes until the owner of this twitter feed requests I take them down because his tweets are that epic. Let's start with the top 5 Tweets from week 16 in the NFL.

So Kliff Kingsbury will be HC/third string quarterback at the same time. This will be interesting.

A.J. Hawk is a linebacker. Trevor Lawrence has a rocket arm.

Skip won't have sex with Dak. Joseph Potter may try to get drunk with Dak though. #kisstherings

Why do you think I make fun of Poni on our Monday Night Football on KDKA segment each week during the regular season? Poni if you are reading this I'll stop once the Patriots have more Super Bowls then the Steelers muhaha!

Rappaport is giving Joey something to talk about. Kansas City will be a tough opponent.

Why the New England Patriots Will Win: New England has Tom Brady guiding a prolific offense that features Julian Edelman, Chris Hogan, Philip Dorsett, Rob Gronkowski, Dwayne Allen, James White, Sony Michel, and Rex Burkhead. New England also has a secondary featuring Stephon Gilmore, Jason McCourty, Patrick Chung, and Devin McCourty. They got the cornerbacks and safeties to contain targets like Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, and Sammy Watkins. Kansas City on the other hand is suspect at both cornerback and 3-4 middle linebacker. If their cornerbacks play like they did versus Andrew Luck in the AFC Championship, then it could be a long day for Tom Brady.

Finally, the reason why the New England Patriots will narrowly pull off the upset is because Tom Brady is less prone to making mistakes then Patrick Mahomes. One more reason why the Patriots may win is due to the fact that Eric Berry may miss the AFC Championship Game.

Why the Kansas City Chiefs Will Win: Kansas City has the officiating advantage. That being said, quarterback Patrick Mahomes will have his entire offensive line at full health for the first time since week 5.

Patrick Mahomes will not have Kareem Hunt at running back unlike in week 6. However, Mahomes has a fully healthy offensive line featuring left tackle Eric Fisher, left guard Cameron Erving, center Mitch Morse, right guard Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, and right tackle Mitchell Schwartz. Duvernay-Tardif got injured in Jacksonville before the Chiefs headed to Gillette Stadium. Neither Malcolm Brown or Danny Shelton got a sack all season on Mahomes. I think Mahomes will actually have more time in the pocket in this game compared to the week 6 meeting. I see Mahomes throwing as many as five passing touchdowns, but also as many as two interceptions.

Not only does Patrick Mahomes have the better offensive line then New England. He also has the better pass rushers. The pass rushing combination of 3-4 outside linebackers Dee Ford and Justin Houston helps Kansas City out since Kansas City did not have Justin Houston or Eric Berry in the week 6 game. Houston is fully healthy and there is a chance Berry returns for the AFC Championship.

Prediction: Kansas City enters as a 3 point favorite. The minimum bet is $135 dollars, the maximum bet is $155 dollars with the average gambler betting around $145 dollars on this game. The over or under on this game is 57.5 points. I am going with New England to win and Kansas City to cover with the pver.

Final Score Patriots 38 Chiefs 35 OT
