Jacksonville won 45-7. This win allowed the Jacksonville Jaguars to clinch a spot in the 2018 NFL Playoffs. Quarterback Blake Bortles went 21/29 with 326 passing yards, 3 passing touchdowns, and no interceptions. The most impressive thing about this win is how Bortles led Jacksonville to this win without RObinson, without Hurns, without Lee, without Fournette in the backfield. Tremendous leadership by Bortles and if he can play like this in January with how good the defense is then Jacksonville may have a say in the AFC.

Baltimore Ravens 8-6-0
Cleveland Browns 0-14-0

Game Recap: CLEVELAND-Baltimore heads to Cleveland. Baltimore and Buffalo are both 7-6 with Buffalo owning the tiebreaker. This is also the Browns home finale so because of that I expect both teams to play with a lot of intensity.

Miami began the third quarter with the ball. Jay Cutler threw an interception to Jordan Poyer. Buffalo got the ball to the Miami 36-yard line and chose to go for it on fourth and seven. Miami made the stop and got the ball back. I was a little puzzled by why Buffalo didn't kick the field goal in this situation.

Jay Cutler threw a second interception to Shareece Wright. Buffalo got a field goal. Buffalo led 24-6 after three quarters of play.

Jay Cutler had a solid drive going. He fumbled it and recovered it on third down though so Miami had to punt. Buffalo then went three and out so Miami got the ball back.

A 26-yard punt return by Miami put the Dolphins in nice field position. An unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Adolphus Washington on third and goal made it first and goal. Miami got a touchdown and made it a 24-13 game.

Miami got a field goal to make it 24-16 after that. Miami had to kick an onside kick with under a minute left. Miami recovered the football. Jay Cutler threw a deep pass to DeVante Parker, but it was intercepted by Tre'Davious White in his first game back from an injury. Buffalo wins 24-16 to improve to 8-6 while knocking Miami out of the playoffs.

On defense two players stepped up for Buffalo. Middle linebacker Preston Brown had 7 solo tackles, 3 assisted tackles, 10 total tackles, and 1 tackle for a loss. Brown limited Kenyan Drake to 78 rushing yards so give him some credit there. The other defensive player that stepped up was Tre'Davious White. Tre'Davious White had 3 solo tackles, 4 assisted tackles, 7 total tackles, 3 deflections from pass breakups, and 1 game-winning interception. Jarvis Landry had 10 receptions for 99 receiving yards, but White kept him to under 100 receiving yards and kept him out of the end zone.

Cincinnati Bengals 5-9-0

Case Keenum threw another touchdown to make it 34-0. This game got so ugly that Minnesota let Teddy Bridgewater play. Bridgewater threw a pick on his first pass attempt though. It didn't matter as Minnesota won this game 34-7.

Case Keenum was the player of this game. Keenum went 20/23 with 236 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, and no interceptions. Excellent job by Minnesota to lock up the NFC North before their rematch with Green Bay.

Preston Smith stepped up as well with 3 solo tackles, 1 sack, 1 interception, and 1 fumble recovery. Preston Smith was my player of the game since his turnovers helped Washington win.

It was 24-19 until Mark Ingram sealed New York's chances of winning with a 50-yard rushing touchdown. New Orleans won 31-19. Marshon Lattimore was my player of the game. Lattimore had 5 solo tackles, 2 assisted tackles, 7 total tackles, 3 deflections from pass breakups, 1 interception, and held Roby Anderson to 5 receptions for 40 receiving yards.

Los Angeles Rams 10-4-0
Seattle Seahawks 8-6-0

Game Recap: SEATTLE-Seattle won the first meeting in Los Angeles. They don't have Richard Sherman or Kam Chancellor, but they do have the 12th man at CenturyLink Field. Winner of this game controls their own destiny in the NFC West Division.

Jared Goff finally threw a passing touchdown. Gurley got his third touchdown near the end of the first half. Los Angeles led 34-0 at halftime. Los Angeles won this game 42-7. Running back Todd Gurley was my player of the game. Gurley had 21 carries, 152 rushing yards, 3 receptions, 28 receiving yards, 24 touches, 180 total yards, 3 rushing touchdowns, 1 receiving touchdown, and 4 total touchdowns. Todd Gurley had a huge game for the Rams to put them 1 win or 1 Seattle loss away from clinching the NFC West.

Tennessee Titans 8-6-0
San Francisco 49ers 4-10-0

Game Recap: SAN FRANCISCO-Marcus Mariota needs to win today to keep up in the AFC South division. Jimmy Garoppolo is 2-0 as Francisco's starting quarterback and was 2-0 when filling in for Tom Brady in 2016 making him 4-0 in his career as a starter.

San Francisco did an awesome job controlling the clock on their opening drive. San Francisco took 6 minutes and 9 seconds off the clock before settling for a field goal. Garoppolo went 5/6 on San Francisco's opening drive with 49 passing yards.

Marcus Mariota struggled to get his first third down conversion. Garoppolo got the ball at San Francisco's 33-yard line. After a five yard run, Garoppolo threw a 16-yard pass from San Francisco's 38 to Tennessee's 46-yard line. Garoppolo threw another 11-yard pass to get San Francisco into field goal range. Thanks to kicker Phil Dawson, San Francisco led 6-0 after one quarter of play. San Francisco had the ball for 8 minutes 6 seconds in the first quarter.

Tennessee got a field goal on their opening drive in the second quarter. San Francisco still led 6-3. A defensive holding penalty and illegal use of hands penalty by the Titans gave San Francisco great field position. Garoppolo threw a passing touchdown to cap off a drive that lasted 8 minutes and 36 seconds in the second quarter. Basically San Francisco had the ball for 8 minutes and 6 seconds in the entire first quarter and the one drive where Garoppolo threw a passing touchdown in the second quarter lasted 30 seconds longer meaning San Francisco really dominated with time of possession in the first half.

San Francisco got a field goal to lead 16-3 before Marcus Mariota threw a quick strike to Delanie Walker for a touchdown which made it 16-10 at halftime. San Francisco had the ball for 11 minutes and 55 seconds in the second quarter. San Francisco had the ball for 20 minutes and 1 second if you add up the 8 minutes and 6 seconds from the first quarter with the 11 minutes and 55 seconds in the second quarter. Tennessee was also 0/1 on third down conversions in the second quarter with the incompletion that set up their field goal attempt being the only third down conversion attempt in the entire second quarter. San Francisco on the other hand went 5/6 on third down conversions as Jimmy Garoppolo did a great job in those critical situations.

Tennessee got the ball to start the second half. Marcus Mariota got a third down conversion in the third quarter with a 12-yard completion to Eric Decker. Mariota got sacked on third down, but a defensive penalty by San Francisco kept this drive alive. Tennessee got a field goal and took 6 minutes and 31 seconds off the clock to start the third quarter allowing their defense additional time to rest.

San Francisco got held to a three and out in their only possession of the third quarter. Tennessee on the other hand was 3/4 on third down conversions in the third quarter. San Francisco led 16-13 after three quarters of play. Tennessee had the football for 12 minutes and 3 seconds in the third quarter doing an excellent job controlling time of possession after struggling to win the time of possession battle in the first half.

Marcus Mariota threw his second passing touchdown to give the Titans a 20-16 lead. San Francisco got a field goal on their first drive of the fourth quarter. Tennessee led 20-19.

San Francisco stopped Tennessee on their next drive. Then San Francisco got a field goal to take a 22-20 lead. Tennessee got a field goal on their next drive to make it 23-22. In the end Phil Dawson would have the last field goal and the last laugh. San Francisco won 25-23.

Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was my player of the game. Garoppolo went 31/43 with 383 passing yards, 1 passing touchdown, and no interceptions. Phil Dawson had six field goals including three in the fourth quarter at kicker so he deserves some credit too.

New England Patriots 11-3-0
Pittsburgh Steelers 11-3-0

Game Recap: PITTSBURGH-New England is heading to Pittsburgh coming off a loss. Chris Hogan will be inactive despite practicing all week. Neither team will have their starting right tackle. New England won't have Marcus Cannon and Pittsburgh won't have Marcus Gilbert. New England doesn't have Hightower and Pittsburgh doesn't have Shazier. New England also doesn't have Van Noy or Alan Branch.

Pittsburgh had a sloppy opening drive. One could argue the David DeCastro holding penalty by Pittsburgh's right guard killed their momentum on their opening drive.

Tom Brady began this game with a first down to Dion Lewis on a passing play before throwing a short pass to Philip Dorsett. Lewis ran it for 5 yards to make it third and one. An offsides penalty by Cameron Heyward on New England's first possession kept the Patriots drive alive. Tom Brady threw a 43-yard deep pass to Brandin Cooks before running backs Dion Lewis and Rex Burkhead finished the drive with Burkhead getting a rushing touchdown that put New England ahead 7-0 on their opening drive. New England's opening drive took 3 minutes and 11 seconds.

Le'Veon Bell broke free with a 13-yard run on Pittsburgh's opening drive. Ben Roethlisberger completed passes to Antonio Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster for first downs before throwing a touchdown pass to Eli Rogers. Ben recognized the linebackers were bringing shitty coverage. That tied the game at 7. It was 7-7 after one quarter of play.

Stephon Gilmore continued to get burned in coverage during the second quarter. Martavis Bryant made a superb catch to put Pittsburgh into field goal range. Pittsburgh had a chance to get a touchdown, but Antonio Brown got injured on the play with a partially torn calf. Chris Boswell kicked the field goal.

Tom Brady fired three first downs on New England's next drive. Two were to Danny Amendola and one involved Rob Gronkowski creating separation. New England got a field goal. That tied it at 10-10.

Ben Roethlisberger followed Brady's play up with a long 15-play drive that took 8 minutes and 39 seconds off the clock as Pittsburgh drove 75-yards downfield for a touchdown. The drive included Pittsburgh getting four different third down conversions on this drive. JuJu Smith-Schuster and Le'Veon Bell had the first two third down conversions, but it was Martavis Bryant who finished the drive with two third down conversions including a touchdown which gave Pittsburgh a 17-10 lead at halftime. Pittsburgh had the ball for 11 minutes and 24 seconds in the second quarter.

New England deferred for a reason. They knew Steelers fans would go to the bathroom or grab a beer so they saw that opening drive as a huge window of opportunity. Tom Brady threw first downs to tight ends Dwayne Allen and Rob Gronkowski on this drive. One of those first downs involved a fourth down conversion by Rob Gronkowski which was a gutsy call that paid off. Those first downs opened things up for Brandin Cooks. New England's opening drive in the third quarter took 6 minutes and 10 seconds off the clock. Stephen Gostkowski missed the extra point. Pittsburgh led by a point ahead 17-16.

From this point, both defenses took over. New England held Pittsburgh to a three and out. Pittsburgh responded with Vincent Williams intercepting Tom Brady. That set up a rushing touchdown for Le'Veon Bell. Pittsburgh made a defensive stop and New England pinned Pittsburgh at their own three yard line with Pittsburgh leading New England by 8 24-16 after three quarters of play.

Le'Veon Bell gave Pittsburgh two first downs both through the air and on the ground. Alejandro Villanueva had two penalties at left tackle including an offensive holding and false start penalties that absolutely kept Pittsburgh from finishing the game on this drive.

Pittsburgh made a good defensive stop. A defensive pass interference penalty on Artie Burns put New England into field goal position. New England made the field goal. Pittsburgh led 24-19.

New England held Pittsburgh to a three and out. New England got the ball back. Tom Brady called four consecutive passing plays to Rob Gronkowski. After an incompletion on first down Gronkowski balled out on New England's final drive with three consecutive first downs. Those big plays set up a rushing touchdown for Dion Lewis. Gronkowski also caught the two point conversion. New England led 27-24.

Pittsburgh got the ball back. JuJu Smith-Schuster made an excellent play to put Pittsburgh in scoring position. It looked like Jesse James would give Pittsburgh the lead. James did not have full control of the ball. The ball hit the ground and while he may have crossed the goal line, the NFL rules state that play was not a catch. Todd Haley wanted to go no huddle and Ben wanted to spike it. Duron Harmon picked off Ben Roethlisberger on the next play. I think if they handed it off to Bell, Pittsburgh would have won and left almost no time left. The way the Steelers lost feels exactly like Super Bowl 49 yet nobody is talking about how Bell should have gotten the ball at the end. They are talking about the controversial Jesse James play leading up to Harmon's interception.

Tom Brady had another clutch fourth quarter comeback. Tom Brady went 22/35 with 298 passing yards, 1 passing touchdown, and 1 interceptions. Ben Roethlisberger went 22/30 with 283 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, and 1 interception. Brady did more to win when it mattered and Ben made better decisions for most of the game until that interception which you can argue was due to poor coaching. Brady was my player of the game, but Rob Gronkowski would have been my player of the game if he caught a touchdown. His 9 receptions for 168 receiving yards along with the two point conversion were big plays.

New England's defense struggled for most of the game. Lawrence Guy was the most effective player on New England's defense had 4 solo tackles, 3 assisted tackles, 7 total tackles, 1 sack, and 1 tackle for a loss. Stephon Gilmore led New England with 8 solo tackles, but he gave up so many big plays in the first half despite adjusting in the second half and really limiting what Pittsburgh did with a strong fourth quarter. Harmon wasn't used that often and came in and had a Malcolm Butler moment with that game-winning interception. It didn't have the same luster as the Butler pick in Super Bowl 49, but it was still a fairly paramount play that propelled the Patriots to a narrow win.

Dallas Cowboys 8-6-0
Oakland Raiders 6-8-0

Game Recap: OAKLAND-This was the final game in Ezekiel Elliott's suspension. This is a win or go home game for both teams.

Dallas got a field goal and led 3-0 after one quarter of play. Dallas had the ball for 12 minutes and 17 seconds in the first quarter and was only able to get a field goal. Dallas ended the first quarter 1/3 on third down conversions with their only third down conversion being the difference. Oakland went 0/2 on third down conversions without Amari Cooper.

Dallas got a touchdown to make it 10-0. Oakland did much better with third down conversions going 3/4 on third down conversions. They missed a field goal at the end of the first half. Dallas led 10-0 at halftime. Oakland had the ball for 9 minutes in the second quarter while Dallas only had the ball for 6 minutes.
