Game Recap: DETROIT-Both the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions entered this game at 6-4 with first place implications. The winner of this game would be 7-4 after the Lions defeated the Vikings in overtime 18 days ago.


Detroit began the game with the ball. Matthew Stafford executed a 12 play 75-yard drive that lasted 7 minutes and 46 seconds before firing a touchdown pass to Anquan Boldin. Detroit took a 7-0 lead after Stafford threw his 100th touchdown pass at Ford Field. Matthew Stafford began the game 6/6 with 46 passing yards.


Sam Bradford began the game 5/5 with 42 passing yards. Ziggy Ansah hurried Sam Bradford. Detroit recovered a fumble, but it looked like Sam Bradford made forward motion so the play would be reviewed.


The call was overturned. Sam Bradford threw his first incompletion. A pass interference penalty negated a huge interception by Darius Slay.


Matt Asiata ran it in for a rushing touchdown. That tied the game at 7. This game was tied 7-7 after one quarter.


Matthew Stafford began the game 8/8 with 69 passing yards. Stafford was 0/4 on his next three passing attempts as Minnesota got pressure on Stafford.


Stafford threw a completion to Golden Tate after a defensive stop by the Lions. That 41-yard completion to Golden Tate put Detroit in great scoring position.


Detroit got a field goal to take a 10-7 lead. Minnesota got the ball back after going three and out.


Both defenses stepped up in the second quarter. Detroit went for it on 4th and 1 and Minnesota made a stop. The Vikings could not do anything in the second quarter. Detroit led 10-7 at halftime.


Minnesota tied the game at 10. Detroit got the ball back. Stafford fired a bullet to Anquan Boldin. Minnesota's defense made a stop and got the ball back with 5:27 left in the third quarter. Detroit went 4/4 on their first four third down conversions, but went 0/6 on their last six third down conversions.


Minnesota was 0/5 on third down conversions. Minnesota called a timeout hoping to break that streak. Cordarrelle Patterson caught a pass on third down to move the chains for the Vikings.


The game was tied 10-10 after three quarters. Detroit needed that stoppage time with Minnesota driving downfield.


Detroit made some stops. The Vikings took their first lead of the game going ahead 13-10 in the fourth quarter.


Matt Prater tied the game at 13 on a 48-yard field goal. Minnesota had 1:45 left in the fourth quarter and one timeout to drive the ball downfield.


Darius Slay intercepted the ball with 38 seconds left. Matt Prater kicked the game-winning field goal to give Detroit a 16-13 win.


Quarterback Matthew Stafford went 23/40 with 232 passing yards, 1 passing touchdown, and no interceptions. Cornerback Darius Slay had a critical game-winning interception on defense and also had that interception in the first quarter that got called back due to pass interference. Slay was the biggest presence on Detroit's defense. Matt Prater was huge on special teams as well. This was a great team win for the Lions with all 3 Stafford, Slay, and Prater winning Phil Simms Awards. Detroit improves them to 7-4 while Minnesota falls to 6-5.




Washington Redskins 6-4-1
Versus
Dallas Cowboys 10-1-0


Game Recap: DALLAS-Dallas barely beat Washington in week 2. Dak Prescott did not throw a touchdown in that game.


Ezekiel Elliott got a rushing touchdown in the first quarter. Dallas led 7-0 after one quarter.


Washington got a field goal in the second quarter to make it 7-3. Dallas took a 10-3 lead after Dan Bailey kicked a field goal.


Dak Prescott threw a passing touchdown right on the corner to Terrance Williams. Dallas took a 17-3 lead following that play.


Washington got a field goal heading into halftime. Dallas led 17-6 at halftime.


Neither team got a field goal in the third quarter. Jordan Reed returned to the game and got Washington a touchdown. Washington failed to get the two point conversion. Dallas led 17-12 early in the fourth quarter.


Dak Prescott ran it in for a rushing touchdown. Tht made it 24-12. Kirk Cousins threw a 67-yard passing touchdown to DeSean Jackson. That made it a 24-19 game.


Ezekiel Elliott ran it in again. Dallas took a 31-19 lead after Elliott had a rushing touchdown.


Dallas won 31-26. Washington scored at the end, but it was too little too late.


Washington is now 6-4-1 while Dallas is now 10-1. Ezekiel Elliott had 20 carries, 97 rushing yards, and 2 rushing touchdowns. Elliott along with this offensive line with Tyron Smith at left tackle, Ronald Leary at left guard, Travis Frederick at center, Zack Martin at right guard, and Doug Free at right tackle really paved the way for Elliott today.




Pittsburgh Steelers 6-5-0
Versus
Indianapolis Colts 5-6-0


Game Recap: INDIANAPOLIS-Andrew Luck got placed on Concussion Protocol. Scott Tolzien took his place.


Pittsburgh had 14 unanswered points in the fourth quarter. Le'veon Bell got the first touchdown for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first quarter. Bell gave Pittsburgh a 7-0 lead before Antonio Brown caught a passing touchdown from Ben Roethlisberger to give Pittsburgh a 14-0 lead after one quarter.


Donte Moncrief caught a receiving touchdown from Scott Tolzien. That made it 14-7 until Roethlisberger fired another passing touchdown to Antonio Brown. Pittsburgh led 21-7 at halftime.


Neither team scored in the third quarter. Pittsburgh made a huge stop on fourth and goal in the fourth quarter. That kept the game at 21-7.


Ben Roethlisberger threw a passing touchdown to Antonio Brown in the fourth quarter. Pittsburgh took a 28-7 lead.


Pittsburgh won this game 28-7. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger went 14/20 with 221 passing yards, 3 passing touchdowns, and no interceptions. Running back Le'veon Bell had 23 carries, 120 rushing yards, and 1 rushing touchdown. The balance of Roethlisberger and Brown carried Pittsburgh to a win. An interior offensive line with Ramon Foster at left guard, Maurikice Pouncey at center, and David DeCastro at right guard was huge for Pittsburgh.


Antonio Brown caught all 3 of Ben Roethlisberger's passing touchdowns. Pittsburgh improves to 6-5 while Indianapolis falls to 5-6. Indianapols should have Andrew Luck back for the Monday Night game against the New York Jets in week 13.




Tennessee Titans 6-6-0
Versus
Chicago Bears 2-9-0


Game Recap: CHICAGO-Jay Cutler was inactive for this game. Matt Barkley started against the Tennessee Titans.


Matt Barkley threw a passing touchdown to give the Bears a 7-0 lead. Derrick Henry ran it in to tie the game at 7. The game was tied 7-7 after one quarter.


Matt Barkley threw an interception in the second quarter. Marcus Mariota threw a touchdown pass to Delanie Walker. That gave the Titans a 14-7 lead.


Marcus Mariota threw another passing touchdown to Rishard Matthews. Mariota's 29-yard touchdown pass to Matthews gave Tennessee a 21-7 lead.


Tennessee took a 24-7 lead with a field goal. The Titans led 24-7 after three quarters.


Tennessee led 27-7. The Titans got a critical win to improve to 6-6. Chicago now falls to 2-9 on the year.


Marcus Mariota was the player of this game. Mariota went 15/23 with 226 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, and no interceptions.





Jacksonville Jaguars 2-9-0
Versus
Buffalo Bills 6-5-0


Game Recap: BUFFALO-Buffalo did not have Robert Woods or Percy Harvin at wide receiver. Buffalo is so depleted at wide receiver that they are bringing Sammy Watkins back from injured reserve. Jacksonville has Allen Robinson, Allen Hurns, and Marqise Lee at full health giving the Jaguars a huge advantage.


Chris Ivory had a rushing touchdown in the first quarter. Jacksonville led 7-0 after one quarter.


Allen Robinson caught a pas out of bounds. Buffalo challenged and the first down was overturned. Blake Bortles got sacked by Marcel Dareus at the two minute warning.


LeSean McCoy ran it into the end zone. Dan Carpenter missed the extra point. That made it a 7-6 game at halftime.


LeSean McCoy had another rushing touchdown to give Buffalo a 13-7 lead. Blake Bortles threw a touchdown pass to Marqise Lee. That gave the Jaguars a 14-13 lead.


Tyrod Taylor had a 7-yard rushing touchdown which gave the Bills a 20-14 lead after three quarters. Buffalo did a great job adjusting.


Blake Bortles threw another touchdown pass in the fourth quarter. That gave Jacksonville a 21-20 lead.


Tyrod Taylor drove Buffalo downfield. Taylor threw a touchdown pass to Justin Hunter. LeSean McCoy ran it in for the two point conversion. Buffalo led 28-21 after that touchdown.


Buffalo won 28-21. LeSean McCoy was the player of the game in this game. McCoy had 19 carries, 103 rushing yards, and 2 rushing touchdowns. Jacksonville falls to 2-9 while Buffalo improves to 6-5.




Cincinnati Bengals 3-7-1
Versus
Baltimore Ravens 6-5-0


Game Recap: BALTIMORE-Cincinnati did not have A.J. Green at wide receiver. Baltimore did not have Jimmy Smith at cornerback.


Joe Flacco threw a touchdown pass to Breshad Perriman. That gave the Ravens a 7-0 lead. Justin Tucker kicked a 52-yard field goal in the first quarter. That gave the Ravens a 10-0 lead.


Mike Nugent kicked a 24-yard field goal to make it 10-3. Justin Tucker made a 57-yard field goal and a 54-yard field goal to make it 16-3 Ravens at halftime.


Andy Dalton threw a touchdown pass to Tyler Eifert. Mike Nugent missed the extra point. Baltimore led 16-9 after three quarters.


Justin Tucker got a field goal to make it a 19-9 game. Mike Nugent got another field goal to make it 19-12.


Cincinnati had a chance to tie it late in the game. Terrell Suggs forced a fumble that the Ravens recovered to get Baltimore the ball back. Baltimore ran out time to win 19-14 despite giving up a safety as time ran out.


Two players stepped up for Baltimore in this game. Terrell Suggs and Justin Tucker. Suggs had 3 solo tackles, 2 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles. Suggs had success against both Bengals offensive tackles. Left tackle Andrew Whitworth and right tackle Cedric Ogbuhei struggled against Suggs. Tucker was 4/4 on field goals and is still the only kicker in the NFL without a missed field goal through the Ravens first 11 games in 2016.




Arizona Cardinals 4-6-1
Versus
Atlanta Falcons 7-4-0


Game Recap: ATLANTA-Tyrann Mathieu returned for Arizona today. That helps Arizona who desperately needs a win today.


Carson Palmer threw a touchdown pass to Jermaine Gresham. Arizona took a 7-0 lead.


Atlanta tied it at 7 when Devonta Freeman ran it in for a rushing touchdown. The game was tied 7-7 after one quarter.


Arizona and Atlanta traded field goals i the second quarter. The game was tied 10-10 before Taylor Gabriel caught a touchdown pass from Matt Ryan to put Atlanta ahead 17-10.


Matt Ryan threw an interception at the end of the first half. That led to a Arizona field goal. Atlanta led 17-13 at halftime.


Tevin Coleman ran it in for a rushing touchdown. Atlanta led 24-13 after three quarters.


Matt Ryan threw another passing touchdown to put Atlanta ahead 31-13. Arizona got another touchdown to make it 31-19, but Atlanta won 38-19. The combination of Matt Ryan and Taylor Gabriel was effective enough to get the job done as Atlanta improves to 7-4 with a win.




New York Giants 8-3-0
Versus
Cleveland Browns 0-12-0


Game Recap: CLEVELAND-Cleveland needs to win a game. New York is hoping to improve to 8-3 and build on their five game winning streak.


Neither team scored in the first quarter. Eli Manning threw two passing touchdowns in the second quarter. Giants led 7-0, then 7-3. Odell Beckham Jr. put the Giants ahead 14-3. The Giants led 14-6 at halftime after Cody Parkey made two chip shot field goals.


Neither team scored in the third quarter. Jason Peirre-Paul had a defensive touchdown in the fourth quarter to put the Giants ahead 20-6.


Josh McCown threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to Corey Coleman. That touchdown made it 20-13.


Eli Manning threw a touchdown pass Odell Beckham Jr. That touchdown pass gave the Giants a 27-13 lead and a 27-13 win over the Cleveland Browns.


The two players that helped the Giants improve to 8-3 were quarterback Eli Manning and wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. Eli Manning went 15/27 with 194 passing yards, 3 passing touchdowns, and no interceptions. Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. had 6 receptions, 96 receiving yards, and 2 receiving touchdowns. Odell Beckham keeps the Giants top wild card spot secured while the Cleveland Browns are now 0-12 heding into their bye week before they face Cincinnati in week 14.

New Orleans Saints 5-6-0


Game Recap: NEW ORLEANS-Jared Goff headed to New Orleans for his first road start. The winner of this game would improve to 5-6 while the loser drops to 4-7.


Jared Goff threw a 24-yard passing touchdown to Tavon Austin. That gave the Rams a 7-0 lead.


Drew Brees threw a passing touchdown to Brandon Coleman. The game was tied at 7-7 after one quarter.


Jared Goff threw a touchdown pass to Kenny Britt. That gave the Rams a 14-7 lead.


New Orleans went on a run after that. Mark Ingram had a 10-yard rushing touchdown to tie the game at 14. Then Drew Brees had a 1-yard rushing touchdown on a quarterback sneak to put the Saints ahead 21-14. Drew Brees threw a touchdown pass to Michael Thomas. New Orleans took a 28-14 lead in the second quarter.


Jared Goff threw a passing touchdown to Lance Kendricks. The Saints led 28-21 at halftime.


Drew Brees threw a 10-yard passing touchdown to Mark Ingram in the third quarter. That put New Orleans ahead 35-21.


Drew Brees threw another touchdown pass to Michael Thomas. The Saints led 42-21 after three quarters. New Orleans won 49-21 thanks to a trick play touchdown pass by Willie Snead in the fourth quarter.


New Orleans dominated on offense today. Quarterback Drew Brees went 28/36 with 310 passing yards, 4 passing touchdowns, and no interceptions. Running back Mark Ingram had 14 carries, 146 rushing yards, and 2 rushing touchdowns. Wide receiver Michael Thomas had 9 receptions, 108 receiving yards, and 2 receiving touchdowns.




San Francisco 49ers 1-10-0

Miami Dolphins 7-4-0


Game Recap: MIAMI-Miami is facing one of the worst defenses in the NFL. Miami has a chance to improve to 7-4 with a win.


Colin Kaepernick threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to running back Carlos Hyde. San Francisco led 7-0 after one quarter.


Jay Ajayi ran it into the end zone to tie the game at 7 in the second quarter after a complete pass in the end zone was overturned. Ryan Tannehill threw a touchdown to Dion Sims. Miami led 14-7 at halftime.


Miami got a field goal in the third quarter. Miami led 17-7. Colin Kaepernick threw a touchdown pass. That made it 17-14. Then Miami expanded their lead when Ryan Tannehill threw a 43-yard touchdown pass to Kenny Stills. Miami led 24-14 after three quarters.


Ryan Tannehill threw a touchdown pass to Leonte Carroo. That put Miami ahead 31-14. Colin Kaepernick had a great fourth quarter making it a 31-24 game. San Francisco got close to Miami territory to tie the game before time ran out.


Miami won 31-24. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill went 20/30 with 285 passing yards, 3 passing touchdowns and no interceptions. Tannehill was the biggest reason why Miami improved to 7-4 on the year while San Francisco is now 1-10 mathmatically eliminated from the 2017 NFL Playoffs in week 12 of the 2016 NFL Regular Season.




San Diego Chargers 5-6-0
Versus
Houston Texans 6-5-0


Game Recap: HOUSTON-Houston returned to America after a tough loss to the Raiders in Mexico. San Diego was hoping to get another win.


Neither team scored in the first quarter. Brock Osweiler had a rushing touchdown to give the Texans a 7-0 lead. Philip Rivers threw two passing touchdowns in the second quarter. That gave San Diego a 14-7 lead at halftime.


Neither team scored in the third quarter. Houston made it a 14-10 game on a field goal in the fourth quarter. Hunter Henry sealed Houston's fate with a receiving touchdown. San Diego won 21-13. The biggest reason the Chargers won was due to their brilliant play at offensive tackle with left tackle King Dunlap and right tackle Joseph Barksdale dominating in pass protection today.




Seattle Seahawks 7-3-1
Versus
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 6-5-0


Game Recap: TAMPA BAY-Seattle has a comfy lead in the NFC West. They should gain a bigger lead in the NFC West. Sometimes what should happen doesn't happen and that was the case today in Tampa Bay.


Jameis Winston threw two passing touchdowns to Mike Evans in the first quarter. Tampa Bay led 14-0 after one quarter.


Seattle got a safety and a field goal in the second quarter. Neither team scored in the second half. Tampa Bay won 14-5.


Wide receiver Mike Evans was the biggest reason Tampa Bay won. Mike Evans had 8 receptions, 104 receiving yards, and 2 receiving touchdowns. Evans did a great job guiding Tampa Bay to a 6-5 record with his huge performance against Seattle.





Carolina Panthers 4-7-0

Oakland Raiders 9-2-0


Game Recap: OAKLAND-Luke Kuechly was out for this game. Cam Newton had to beat Derek Carr in a shootout with Kuechly out.


Derek Carr threw a touchdown pass to Seth Roberts. Oakland led 7-0.


Cam Newton ran it in for a rushing touchdown. The game was tied 7-7 after one quarter.


Oakland took control in the second quarter. Latavius Murray ran it in for a rushing touchdown to put Oakland ahead 14-7. Sebastian Janikowski gave Oakland a 17-7 lead. Khalil Mack returned an interception for a touchdown. Oakland led 24-7 at halftime.


Carolina took control in the third quarter. Jonathan Stewart ran it in, but the kick was blocked. Oakland led 24-13. Cam Newton threw an 88-yard touchdown pass to Ted Ginn Jr. That gave Carolina a chance to make it a 3 point game with a two point conversion. The conversion was no good. Jonathan Stewart scored again and Carolina took a 25-24 lead after three quarters.


Cam Newton threw a 44-yard touchdown pass to Kelvin Benjamin. Carolina took a 32-24 lead.


Derek Carr threw a 12-yard passing touchdown to Clive Walford. Derek Carr threw a pas to Seth Roberts for a two point conversion. Oakland tied the game at 32. Carr threw a pass to Crabtree to set up the field goal. Then Sebastian Janikowski kicked a game-winning field goal.


Oakland won 35-32. Khalil Mack was the player of this game. Mack had 6 solo tackles, 1 quarterback hurry, 1 sack, 1 interception, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 defensive touchdown. Mack made plays everywhere helping Oakland improve to 9-2.




New England Patriots 9-2-0

New York Jets 3-8-0


Game Recap: NEW YORK-Tom Brady could tie Peyton Manning for most NFL wins in history with a win over the Jets. A win over the Jets could eliminate the Jets from winning the AFC East.


Nick Folk kicked a field goal to give New York a 3-0 lead after one quarter. Ryan Fitzpatrick threw a passing touchdown to Brandon Marshall in the second quarter. That gave the Jets a 10-0 lead.


New England got a field goal to make it 10-3. Tom Brady threw a touchdown pass to Malcolm Mitchell . That tied the game at 10. New England attempted a field goal before halftime. The kick was no good. The game was tied 10-10 at halftime.


Stephen Gostkowski made a field goal in the third quarter. New England led 13-10 after three quarters.


The Jets got a touchdown to gain a 17-13 lead. S tephen Gostkowski kicked a field goal. That made it 17-16.


Tom Brady threw another touchdown pass to Malcolm Mitchell. That touchdown gave New England a 22-17 lead. It looked like New England got a two point conversion, but the call was overturned.


Chris Long got a strip sack and a fumble. New England recovered the ball and won 22-17.


Tom Brady was the player of the game. Brady went 30/50 with 286 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, and no interceptions. New England improves to 9-2 and Tom Brady ties Peyton Manning for the most wins in NFL history with 200 career wins.




Kansas City Chiefs 8-3-0

Denver Broncos 7-4-0


Game Recap: DENVER-Dee Ford was out. Justin Houston and Marcus Peters returned though.


Neither team scored in the first quarter. Kansas City got a safety and then returned a kickoff for a touchdown. Denver got a field goal with Kansas City leading 9-3 at halftime.


Denver took the lead with a touchdown that made it 10-9 in the third quarter. Then Kansas City regained the lead and led 16-10 after three quarters.


Trevor Siemian threw two passing touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Denver led 24-16. It looked like time ran out with Denver winning. The booth reviewed the play and Kansas City got a touchdown called in their favor. Kansas City got the two point conversion meaning the game was tied 24-24 after regulation.


Denver got a field goal to start this game. Kansas City took a lot of time off the clock to tie the game at 27 in overtime.


Denver attempted a 62-yard field goal. The kick went wide left. Kansas City got into scoring position. The Chiefs kicked a field goal as time ran out and made it winning 30-27.


Justin Houston and Von Miller were both spectacular for for their teams at pass rusher. Houston had 10 solo tackles, 3 sacks, and 1 forced fumble. Miller had 9 solo tackles, 1 assisted tackle, 10 total tackles, and 3 sacks. Kansas City improves to 9-2 while Denver falls behind Miami in the wild card race thanks to that loss.




Green Bay Packers 5-6-0
Versus
Philadelphia Eagles 5-6-0


Game Recap: PHILADELPHIA-Green Bay got Damarious Randall back. The Packers really need Randall back as they have lost five in a row since starting 4-1.


Green Bay scored on their first drive in the first quarter. Aaron Rodgers went 9/11 with 89 passing yards, 1 passing touchdown, and no interceptions. Philadelphia tied the game on their first drive. Carson Wentz went 6/6 with 70 passing yards. Wentz had a 1-yard rushing touchdown to tie the game at 7. The game was tied 7-7 after one quarter.


Davante Adams caught his second receiving touchdown of the second quarter. Green Bay led 14-7 early in the second quarter. Adams had 2 receptions, 32 receiving yards, and 2 receiving touchdowns following that catch.


Philadelphia got a field goal late in the second quarter. With Nelson Agholor inactive and Jordan Matthews out that put Carson Wentz at a disadvantage with Randall back. Green Bay led 14-10 at halftime.


Philadelphia got the ball to start the second half. HaHa Clinton-Dix got an interception. Green Bay kicked a field goal to give Green Bay a 17-10 lead.


Philadelphia made a 50-yard field goal. That made it a 17-13 game. Green Bay led 17-13 after three quarters.
