Seattle Seahawks 6-3-0
Arizona Cardinals 4-5-0

Game Recap: ARIZONA-Seattle did not have Earl Thomas. Arizona did not have Carson Palmer or David Johnson. The Cardinals stated their intentions to give Adrian Peterson the ball early and often.

Seattle got the ball first. Their offensive line had Duane Brown at left tackle, Ethan Pocic the LSU rookie at left guard, Justin Britt at center, Oday Aboushi at right guard, and Germain Ifedi their 2016 first round pick at right tackle. Seattle finally has stability on the offensive line for the first time since they got to Super Bowl 49.

Russell Wilson threw a pass to Jimmy Graham. That resulted in a completion. Pocic and Ifedi gave Wilson time. Wilson didn't want to throw with Arizona covering so well. Arizona made that stop thanks to a coverage sack by Arizona.

Arizona fumbled on the first play of the game. Sheldon Richardson forced a fumble and recovered the football. Seattle got the ball back. Tyvon Branch made a great play by breaking up a deep pass on second down. Germain Ifedi got penalized at right tackle. Budda Baker dropped a pick, but displayed great zone coverage. Seattle began this game with -5 yards on their first two drives and began the game 0/2 on third down conversions.

Seattle made two strong plays on defense. John Brown got a third down conversion to keep the drive alive. D.J. Humphries Arizona's left tackle was holding his leg. To make matters worse the only other good offensive tackle besides last years left tackle Jared Veldheer who now plays right tackle is Will Holden and Arizona ruled Holden inactive for this game.

Drew Stanton threw a first down to Larry Fitzgerald. Seattle stopped the run twice. Adrian Peterson was out on this third down play. Arizona got a first down thanks to a penalty. Arizona gave the ball to Peterson even with Humphries out at left tackle. Larry Fitzgerald looked like he'd score. Richard Sherman broke up the pass to prevent the touchdown.

Drew Stanton made one big throw to Larry Fitzgerald. Andre Ellington caught it. The officials took away a fumble.

Seattle made a stop. Paul Richardson caught a 43-yard pass from Russell Wilson. Seattle led 15-7 at halftime.

Seattle had 10 penalties with 10 minutes and 47 seconds in the third quarter. Arizona put together a drive that lasted 6 minutes and 28 seconds where they only got a field goal. Seattle still led 15-10.

Duane Brown tore his right ankle at the end of the first half. He got tape wrapped around it, but Tobin the left tackle who came in for Duane Brown just flat out sucked. Wilson is going to falter if Tobin remains his blindside hopefully Brown returns soon.

Seattle suffered injuries with Brown getting injured. Both Griffin and Richard Sherman got injured at cornerback. Sherman did not return. It looks like an achilles tear potentially a torn ACL near the heel. Sherman should be out for the year.

Russell Wilson was able to make some decent throws. Neither quarterback had an interception through 3 quarters with Seattle ahead 15-10 after three quarters.

Russell Wilson threw a 44-yard pass to Doug Baldwin on a play where he was supposed to block. Wilson threw another touchdown to Jimmy Graham. Those big plays gave Seattle a 22-10 lead. Arizona scored a garbage time touchdown thanks to Andre Ellington with Seattle winning 22-16.

Lots of players stepped up in this game. Quarterback Russell Wilson went 22/32 with 238 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, and no interceptions. Doug Baldwin had 5 receptions for 95 receiving yards. Paul Richardson had that 43-yard reception. Jimmy Graham had 6 receptions for 27 receiving yards at tight end, but 2 of those receptions were receiving touchdowns.

Larry Fitzgerad had 10 receptions for 113 receiving yards despite the loss for Arizona having a huge impact. That was mainly due to Richard Sherman leaving the game with a heel injury at cornerback. Jimmy Graham was my player of the game.

Manti Te'o made a huge third down stop. New Orleans got the ball back after that stop. Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas stepped up. That set up a Kamara rushing touchdown to make it 24-3. Defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins had a huge interception setting up Mark Ingram's third rushing touchdown, but missed the extra point to give New Orleans a 30-3 lead over Buffalo.

Drew Brees scrambles for a 7-yard rushing touchdown. That made it a 37-7 game with New Orleans ahead by 30.

His backup Alvin Kamara had 12 carries, 106 rushing yards, and 1 rushing touchdown. It's pretty scary to see what Brees can do with Ingram and Kamara. Andrus Peat at left guard, Max Unger at center, and Larry Warford at right guard deserve a ton of credit for paving the lanes for these running backs.

New York Jets 4-5-0
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 3-6-0

Game Recap: TAMPA BAY-Former Buccaneer Josh McCown went to Tampa Bay to face former Jet Ryan Fitzpatrick. Tampa Bay did not have Jameis Winston or Mike Evans for this game. Tampa Bay field cornerback Brent Grimes limited Roby Anderson to 4 receptions, 85 receiving yards, and 1 receiving touchdown. Grimes got burned late, but Tampa Bay had such a huge lead at that point.

Tony Mario attends all Tampa Bay games. His summary of this game was way funnier than anything I wrote in the game recap so I decided to add it to the site.

"At least Ryan Fitzpatrick is more of a WINNER then Josh McCown. Somebody had to win the BATTLE OF THE LOSER QBs. There was a bird just flying throughout the stadium for a couple minutes during the game. I was waiting for the bird to take a dump on both of them as if to say they're both SHIT. The Jets fans were pretty funny. Some of them wanted the replacement refs back. Some of them were calling the refs cheaters because they felt they were helping the Bucs. One of them is just screaming for them not to tackle anybody else so they don't get called for a penalty again. I think one of them was called for illegal use of hands so the two fans in front of me are pushing each other talking about how they're gonna get in trouble for illegal use of hands now. Was pretty funny. We had one Bucs fan screaming LETS GO OFFENSE, & then one Jets fan screaming LETS GO DEFENSE, then one fan just said WHO GIVES A SHIT SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING. That was pretty funny."

See Tony's summary of this game was way better than mine. Let's move on.

Minnesota Vikings 7-2-0

Diggs gave Washington fans an encore. Minnesota took a 14-10 lead in Washington.

Dak Prescott got a rushing touchdown. That was the peak of the Cowboys today. Atlanta outscored Dallas 27-0 from this point and Adrian Clayborn had a career high 6 sacks without Tyron Smith. I figured Dallas would lose this game without Smith, but I stuck with the Cowboys. Both teams are 5-4 now.

San Francisco went on a 21-0 scoring run in a game that is too boring to describe in depth. Eli threw a meaningless garbage time touchdown as San Francisco got their first win of the 2017 season in a 31-21 victory over the New York Giants. Reuben Foster was my player of the game in San Francisco's first win. Foster had 6 solo tackles, 4 assisted tackles, 10 solo tackles, and kept the New York Giants from getting a single rushing touchdown. San Francisco hasn't had a linebacker impose their will on running backs like this since the Patrick Willis glory days.
