Dallas Cowboys 11-1-0
Minnesota Vikings 6-6-0

Game Recap: MINNESOTA-The 10-1 Dallas Cowboys headed to Minnesota. Dak Presott has two road games against two of the toughest defenses in the NFC with the Vikings and Giants in the next two weeks. I'm interested to see how Prescott handles that pressure. Mike Zimmer was not coaching this game either. That would be interesting to see how the Vikings did without Zimmer.

Minnesota got a field goal in the first quarter. Minnesota led 3-0 after one quarter.

Ezekiel Elliott got a rushing touchdown. Dallas led 7-3 at halftime.

Minnesota got a field goal. They also recovered a fumble near the end of the third quarter. Dallas led 7-6 after three quarters.

Kai Forbath got a field goal in the fourth quarter. Minnesota led 9-7 after that field goal.

Dak Prescott drove the ball downfield. Prescott threw a touchdown pass to Dez Bryant. That put Dallas ahead 14-9.

Dallas got the ball back. Dak Prescott drove the ball downfield. Dallas got a field goal and took a 17-9 lead. Minnesota got the ball back, but was held to a 3 and out. Minnesota punted to Dallas with all 3 timeouts choosing to take their chances.

Minnesota used all of their timeouts. The Vikings drove downfield. McKinnon scored with 25 seconds left. Minnesota executed an 8 play 65-yard drive. That touchdown made it 17-15. Sam Bradford should have been called for roughing the passer and he wasn't.

Ezekiel Elliott had 20 carries, 86 rushing yards, 4 receptions, 19 receiving yards, 105 total yards, and 1 rushing touchdown. Dak Prescott went 12/18 with 139 passing yards, 1 passing touchdown, and no interceptions. Dez Bryant had 4 receptions, 84 receiving yards, and 1 receiving touchdown. Dallas won 17-15 to improve to 11-1 while Minnesota falls to 6-6.

Kansas City Chiefs 9-3-0
Atlanta Falcons 7-5-0

Game Recap: ATLANTA-Kansas City has Justin Houston, Dee Ford, Dontari Poe, and Tamba Hali playing together on the front 7 for the first time all year. Atlanta does not have Desmond Trufant or Dontari Poe.

Atlanta got off to a strong start. Devonta Freeman gave Atlanta a 7-0 lead. Spencer Ware scored, but Cairo Santos extra point was blocked. The Falcons got a field goal and led 10-6 after the first quarter.

Atlanta got a field goal in the second quarter. Then Smith threw a touchdown pass to Spencer Ware. Kansas City took a 14-13 lead. Atlanta got the ball back. Matt Ryan threw an interception to Eric Berry. That interception gave Kansas City a 20-13 lead.

Atlanta drove the ball downfield. Then Matt Bryant kicked a field goal. Kansas City led 20-16 at halftime following Matt Bryant's 59-yard field goal.

Kansas City got a touchdown in the third quarter. Kansas City led 27-16 after three quarters.

Devonta Freeman got his second rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter. Atlanta failed the two point conversion. Kansas City led 27-22. Matt Ryan threw what appeared to be the game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter. When the Falcons went for two hoping to make it a 3 point game, Eric Berry got a defensive two point conversion to put the Chiefs ahead 29-28. Kansas city improves to 9-3 while Atlanta falls to 7-5.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith went 21/25 with 270 passing yards, 1 passing touchdown, and no interceptions. Running back Spencer Ware had a rushing and a receiving touchdown. Tight end Travis Kelce had 8 receptions for 140 receiving yards on offense for the Chiefs.

Left tackle Eric Fisher and center Mitch Morse stepped up on the Chiefs offensive line. Right tackle Mitchell Schwartz and the Chiefs backup guards both struggled in Kansas City's narrow win over Atlanta.

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan went 22/34 with 297 passing yards, 1 passing touchdown, and 1 interception. Ryan threw for more passing yards than Smith, but he also made some shaky throws in critical situations against one of the NFLs best defenses.

Kansas City looks like they have a Super Bowl defense in the making if things hold up. Dontari Poe had 2 solo taclkes in his return at nose tackle. Poe's play in the 0-technique gave Alex Mack problems on some blocks, but Mack had the better day and was Atlanta's best blocker up front today.

Justin Houston and Tamba Hali each got a sack giving left tackle Jake Matthews and right tackle Ryan Schraeder problems. Both Derrick Johnson and Ramik Wilson had 9 solo tackles. Kansas City's run defense is so much more effective with Poe, Johnson, and Wilson all healthy.

Julio Jones caught 6 of his 7 receptions against the corner opposite of Marcus Peters. Eric Berry was flawless today with 2 solo tackles, 3 deflections from pass breakups, 2 interceptions, 8 points off those picks, and limited Levine Toilolo to a single reception while blanketing Austin Hooper on other plays completely in passing situations.

Detroit Lions 8-4-0
New Orleans Saints 5-7-0

Game Recap: NEW ORLEANS-Marvin Jones was ruled inactive for the Lions in this game. You would figure the Saints would have an advantage in this game.

Detroit got the only score in the first quarter off a field goal. Detroit led 3-0 after one quarter.

Matthew Stafford fired a touchdown pass to Theo Riddick. Detroit took a 10-0 lead after that. New Orleans and Detroit traded field goals after that point. Detroit led 13-6 at halftime.

Detroit got two more field goals. Detroit led 19-6 after three quarters.

John Kunn had a rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter. That made the game 19-13.

Matthew Stafford threw a critical touchdown pass to Golden Tate. Detroit went for two, but did not get the conversion with a 25-13 lead. Detroit got a field goal late in the fourth quarter to win 28-13.

Both quarterbacks had their moments in this game. Matthew Stafford went 30/42 with 341 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, and no interceptions. Drew Brees went 31/44 with 326 passing yards, 0 passing touchdowns, and 3 interceptions against the Lions despite being 6/13 against the Lions in this contest. The turnover differential which the Lions won convincingly was the difference in this contest.

Detroit has a two game lead in the NFC thanks to this win to improve to 8-4. Detroit should beat the Bears at Ford Field to start 9-4, but can Detroit close out with wins at New York and Dallas before a home finale with Green Bay on New Years Day. That's my biggest concern with the Lions moving forward. New Orleans fell to 5-7 and blew a critical chance to get back to 6-6. With only four NFL games left, the New Orleans Saints playoff hopes certainly look grimm.

Los Angeles Rams 4-8-0
New England Patriots 10-2-0

Game Recap: NEW ENGLAND-Rob Gronkowski got placed on season ending injured reserve following back surgery while Aaron Hernandez continues to serve his life sentence in prison. That meant Martellus Bennett would take over at tight end. Tom Brady was also seeking his 201st career win.

New England scored first in this game. LeGarrette Blount ran it in for a touchdown to give the Patriots a 7-0 lead. New England led 7-0 after one quarter.

Tom Brady threw a 14-yard pass to Chris Hogan. Hogan gave the Patriots 14-0 lead when he caught a 14-yard passing touchdown from Tom Brady. Stephen Gostkowski booted a 20-yard field goal to give the New England Patriots a 17-0 lead at halftime.

The Rams got a field goal in the third quarter. That 44-yard field goal didn't mean squat since New England got two more field goals to take a 23-3 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

New England took a 26-3 lead before winning 26-10. New England's passing attack was clicking on all cylinders. Left tackle Nate Solder, left guard Joe Thuney, center David Andrews, right guard Shaq Mason, and right tackle Marcus Cannon all did an awesome job keeping Tom Brady from getting sacked against one of the NFL's toughest defensive lines. They also helped New Engalnd get 133 total rushing yards on the ground while zone blocking effectively on some plays as well.

Tom Brady went 33/46 with 269 passing yards, 1 passing touchdown, and no interceptions thanks to his blocking and receivers. Julian Edelman had 8 receptions for 101 receiving yards. Malcolm Mitchell had 8 receptions for 82 receiving yards. Chris Hogan had 4 receptions, 23 receiving yards, and 1 receiving touchdown. This was an awesome job by the Patriots offense even if the final score doesn't indicate a superb offensive performance. If you saw this game you know the Patriots dominated in all 3 phases.

Denver Broncos 8-4-0
Jacksonville Jaguars 2-10-0

Game Recap: JACKSONVILLE-Paxton Lynch made his first NFL start. Blake Bortles did not have former Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas or wide receiver Allen Hurns.

Neither team scored in the first quarter. Jacksonville got a field goal in the second quarter.

Devontae Booker had a rushing touchdown to give Denver a 7-3 lead. He was limited to 35 rushing yards on 18 carries. Outside of center Matt Paradis and left tackle Russell Okung, Denver's offensive line sucks. Denver led 10-3 at hafltime following a Brandon McManus field goal.

Blake Bortles drove down the field in the third quarter. Bradley Roby returned a 51-yard interception for a touchdown. Denver led 17-3 after three quarters.

Blake Bortles ran it in for a touchdown. That made it 17-10. Denver won this game 20-10. Paxton Lynch played very mediocre football, but the cornerback trio of Aqib Talib, Chris Harris Jr., and Bradley Roby was enough for Denver to get the job done.

Houston Texans 6-6-0
Green Bay Packers 6-6-0

Game Recap: GREEN BAY-Houston came to Green Bay. Hopefully this game would be more exciting than the State Farm commercial where Clay Matthews recovered a fumble in the end zone.

Houston got the ball to start the game. Morgan Burnett recovered a fumble for the Packers.

Green Bay had a strong opening drive to begin the game. Whitney Mercilus recovered a fumble at the 2-yard line to delay Green Bay's first touchdown of the game.

Houston had the ball over over 11 minutes in the first quarter and still couldn't score with a scoreless first quarter. Neither team got any points as a result. Green Bay had another strong drive with 14 minutes left in the first half. Green Bay put together a 10-play 50-yard drive that took up 6 minutes and 8 seconds. Rodgers kept throwing back and forth to Jordy Nelson and Ty Montgomery before throwing a touchdown to Randall Cobb on 2nd and 6. Cobb did an awesome job getting separation in a short yardage situation to put the Packers ahead 7-0 in the second quarter thanks to a splendid drive by Rodgers.

Dean Lowry sacked Brock Osweiler on second and ten for an eight yard loss. Will Fuller made an 11-yard reception on third down, but was too far out to do anything.

Green Bay Packers strong safety Morgan Burnett had 6 total tackles, 1 deflection, 1 quarterback hurry, and 1 fumble recovery in the first half alone which is simply mind boggling.

Houston scored on their first drive in the second half. Osweiler threw a 24-yard pass to Will Fuller on third and nine which required Damarious Randall and HaHa Clinton-Dix to gang tackle Will Fuller. That play kept Houston's first drive in the third quarter alive with Houston having a 10-play 63-yard drive that lasted 4 minutes and 57 seconds.

Green Bay got the ball back late in the third quarter after Houston punted on fourth and five. Green Bay executed a 12-play, 98-yard drive that took up 5 minutes and 20 seconds. The drive carried into the fourth quarter, but Aaron Rodgers guided Green Bay from their own two yard line to Houston's end zone displaying flashes of Elway from his AFC Championship against the Browns.

Rodgers gave Green Bay the 14-7 lead with a 32-yard strike to wide receiver Jordy Nelson who picked everyone of Houston's defensive backs apart. Houston struggled to tie the game before Green Bay executed an 8-play 89-yard drive that lasted 4 minutes and 41 seconds. Jordy Nelson caught a 28-yard pass from Rodgers picking apart Kareem Jackson prior to Green Bay gaining a 21-7 lead.

Brock Osweiler threw a 44-yard touchdown pass to Brock Osweiler. Nick Novak kicked an extra point wide right to keep the game at 21-13.

Both teams are 6-6 now. Jordy Nelson was my player of this game. Nelson had 8 receptions, 118 receiving yards, and 1 receiving touchdown. Morgan Burnett dominated in the first half on defense, but Nelson was more consistent throughtout the game with Aaron Rodgers getting him the ball at quarterback.

Philadelphia Eagles 5-7-0
Cincinnati Bengals 4-7-1

Game Recap: CINCINNATI-Cincinnati did not have to worry about Ryan Matthews or Jordan Matthews. That made things immensely easier for Dre Kirkpatrick who is one of the NFL's best cornerbacks with Giovani Bernard and A.J. Green injured on offense for the Bengals.

Cincinnati got a field goal early to lead 3-0. Cincinnati watched Jeremy Hill get a rushing touchdown to take a 10-0 lead after one quarter.

Mike Nugent gave Cincinnati a 13-0 lead in the second quarter. Andy Dalton connected with tight end Tyler Eifert on a 14-yard passing touchdown which put Cincinnati ahead 19-0 before Mike Nugent missed a chip shot extra point. Cincinnati led 19-0 at halftime.

Cincinnati watched Andy Dalton fire a touchdown pass to Brandon LaFell. That made it 26-0 Bengals. Cincinnati led 29-0 before Carson wentz threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Zach Ertz. Cincinnati led 29-7 after three quarters. Philadelphia got another quick touchdown in the fourth quarter to make it 29-14, but Cincinnati found a way to win 32-14.

I'm so glad I changed my pick from the Eagles to the Bengals at the last minute. Quarterback Andy Dalton went 23/31 with 332 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, and no interceptions in the win over the Eagles. Left tackle Andrew Whitworth, left guard Clint Boling, center Russell Bodine, right guard Kevin Zeitler, and right tackle Cedric Ogbuhei all stepped up as a team in this game on the offensive line to protect Andy Dalton. That's one of the biggest reasons why the Bengals won.

Miami Dolphins 7-5-0
Baltimore Ravens 7-5-0

Game Recap: BALTIMORE-Mike Pouncey was out for Miami in this game. To make matters worse Miami had to deal with a healthy Jimmy Smith at field cornerback.

Joe Flacco threw two passing touchdowns in the first quarter. His first passing touchdown was to Terrance West which made it 7-0. Flacco threw a touchdown to Dennis Pitta to make it 14-0 following a missed field goal by the Miami Dolphins. Baltimore led 14-0 after one quarter.

Joe Flacco threw another passing touchdown to Dennis Pitta. Baltimore led 21-0. Justin Tucker kicked a field goal to make it 24-0 Ravens at halftime.

Neither team scored in the third quarter. Fourth quarter Ryan Tannehill to DeVante Parker. That made it 24-6 Miami. Baltimore got two more touchdowns to win 38-6.

Both teams are 7-5 now. Dennis Pitta had 9 receptions, 90 receiving yards, and 2 receiving touchdowns. Baltimore maintained their lead thanks to Dennis Pitta's play at tight end. Joe Flacco went 36/47 with 381 passing yards, 4 passing touchdowns, and 1 interception. Breshad Perriman had 2 receptions, 59 receiving yards, and 1 receiving touchdown. Mike Wallace had 6 receptions for 59 receiving yards.

San Francisco 49ers 1-11-0
Chicago Bears 3-9-0

Game Recap: CHICAGO-Colin Kaepernick faced Matt Barkley in a meaningless game. This game would determine which NFC team would pick first in the 2017 NFL Draft.

San Francisco got the ball to start the gaem. Willie Young sacked Colin Kaepernick on Second and 11 to set up a 3rd and 24. Chicago made the stop.

Buffalo Bills 6-6-0
Oakland Raiders 10-2-0

An illegal formation false start penalty on right tackle Austin Howard cost Oakland five yards. Buffalo stopped Oakland on their first drive thanks to Howard.

Bruce Irvin sacked Tyrod Taylor on a third and three at Oakland's 3-yard line. That forced Buffalo to settle for a field goal giving the Bills a 3-0 lead.

Derek Carr threw a 26-yard pass to tight end Mychal Rivera which put the Raiders at the Bills 26-yard line, but a holding penalty by left guard Vadal Alexander put Oakland at the Buffalo 36-yard line. That set up a field goal and tied the game at 3. The game was tied 3-3 after one quarter.

Buffalo had a lot of momentum and a 5 minute drive going. Khalil Mack strip sacked Tyrod Taylor forced a fumble and recovered the ball. Oakland got the ball back with 3:20 left and a 14 point lead. That would be enough for the Raiders to win 38-24.

Middle linebacker Perry Riley had 8 solo tackles, 2 assisted tackles, and 10 total tackles.
