2017 Senior Bowl: Stock Up Stock Down Report

Chris Ransom follow @DraftUtopia Posted on: 1/27/2017.

We look at 5 players that boosted their draft stock and 5 players that hurt their draft stock.

Stock Up

  1. Joshua Dobbs, QB, Tennessee

Tennessee quarterback Joshua Dobbs and his former backup Nate Peterman who transferred to Pitt were the two best quarterbacks in Mobile for the North and South teams. That still doesn't change the fact that this is a weak overall quarterback group.

  2. O.J. Howard, TE, Alabama

O.J. Howard validated himself as a top 20 pick in Mobile. Howard should not make it past Denver.

  3. Carlos Watkins, DT, Clemson

Carlos Watkins had an awesome week in Mobile. He should be the first defensive tackle drafted now.

  4. Tre'Davious White, CB, LSU

Tre'Davious White was the one cornerback who stood out in Mobile. White should be a first round pick now.

  5. Obi Melifonwu, S, Connecticut

The 6-4 219 lb safety dominated in Mobile. I think he has an outside shot of going in the first round.

Stock Down

  1. Davis Webb, QB, California

Davis Webb was my highest ranked Senior Bowl quarterback entering the week. Webb showed why he was a day 3 pick.

  2. Dion Dawkins, LG, Temple

Temple left tackle Dion Dawkins kicked inside to guard in Mobile. Dawkins struggled there and should be a day 3 pick. I see Dawkins as a fifth round prospect after this week.

  3. Kyle Fuller, C, Baylor

Baylor center Kyle Fuller basically summarized my thoughts on him having no footwork. There is a good reason why Baylor's center is not in my 2017 NFL Mock Draft.

  4. Corn Elder, CB, Miami FL

Corn Elder had a horrible week in practice. He could drop to the fifth round now.

  5. Ezra Robinson, CB, Tennessee State

Tennessee State cornerback Ezra Robinson had a horrible week in Mobile. He's now a day 3 pick.
