Gwen Doughty grades the Houston Texans 2016 NFL Draft. Does Houston have a bright future after drafting Will Fuller with the twenty first pick in the 2016 NFL Draft?
21. Will Fuller, WR, Notre Dame A Grade
Will Fuller has the size of a slot receiver. He is expected to be the #2 wide receiver across from DeAndre Hopkins.
50. Nick Martin, C, Notre Dame A- Grade
Nick Martin has to battle with Tony Bergstrom for the starting center job. Right now Bergstrom is the favorite to start, but Martin should start if you ask me since he is the better overall center.
85. Braxton Miller, WR, Ohio State B Grade
Braxton Miller is a #5 receiver on Houston's depth chart. I'm giving this pick a solid B grade.
119. Tyler Ervin, RB, San Jose State C Grade
Tyler Ervin is a third string running back to Lamar Miller and Alfred Blue. Houston only added Ervin for depth.
159. K.J. Dillon, FS, West Virginia D Grade
K.J. Dillon is a third string safety. He has the versatility to play both strong safety and free safety.
166. D.J. Reader, NT, Clemson C Grade
D.J. Reader is a third string nose tackle. Vince Wilfork is the Texans starting nose tackle with Christian Covington as the backup nose tackle.
Houston Texans Team Grade: B Grade
The Texans had a solid draft. Bill O'Brien has to win a playoff game with these additions if he he wants to keep his job. They didn't have a spectacular draft like many in the media made them out to have.
