New York Giants 1-6-0
Philadelphia Eagles 2-4-1

Game Recap: PHILADELPHIA-Daniel Jones went 0-2 agianst Philadelphia as a rookie. He hoped to end that in his second season as the starting quarterback on the New York Giants. Philadelphia's last home loss to the New York Giants came back in 2013.

Philadelphia began this game on their own 25-yard line with an 11-play 75-yard drive that took up 6 minutes and 15 seconds. Carson Wentz got a rushing touchdown. Philadelphia led 7-0.

Philadelphia's defense stepped up. New York held Carson Wentz and this Philadelphia offense to a three and out after a rough first drive.

Daniel Jones threw a touchdown pass to Golden Tate. That tied this game at 7-7. This game was tied 7-7 after one quarter of play.

Philadelphia put together a 13-play 83-yard drive that took up 5 minutes and 45 seconds. Philadelphia led 10-7 after getting a field goal.

Both quarterbacks threw interceptions on the next two drives. Philadelphia had the ball for 10 minutes in the second quarter, but had nothing to show for it.

Philadelphia made a defensive stop. New York held Carson Wentz to his second three and out of the first half.

New York fumbled the football. Philadelphia recovered the fumble. Philadelphia attempted the field goal, but it was no good. Philadelphia led 10-7 at halftime.

Both teams went three and out on their first two drives in the third quarter. Both teams began the second half 0/2 on third down conversions.

Daniel Jones had an 80-yard scramble. He tripped. Wayne Gallman ran it in for a touchdown. New York led 14-10 and had their first lead of the game.

Both teams went three and out on their next two drives. New York led 14-10 after three quarters of play.

New York made a huge defensive stop early in the fourth quarter. This led to a turnover on downs. Right tackle Lane Johnson got injured on this play after returning from an injury.

Daniel Jones got the ball. Jones put together a 15-play 75-yard drive that took up 7 minutes and 50 seconds. Jones threw a touchdown pass to Sterling Shepard where he carved Darius Slay, who is Phiiladelphia's best cornerback. New York had a 21-10 lead over Philadelphia.

Carson Wentz threw a touchdown pass to Greg Ward Jr. Philadelphia attempted the two point conversion, but could not get the conversion. New York led 21-16.

Daniel Jones threw a perfect pass to Evan Engram as the ball got past coverage. Engram could not make the catch on third down and that forced the New York Giants to punt it.

Carson Wentz did the same thing as last year. Wentz was awful up until the final two drives of the 2019 game between these two games at Lincoln Financial Field before rallying Philadelphia back where they would win in overtime. Wentz rallied Philadelphia again and they got the touchdown to take a 22-21 lead. New York fumbled on their final drive so Philadelphia barely prevails with a 22-21 win.

Carson Wentz was my player of the game. Carson Wentz went 25/43 with 359 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, and 1 interception.

Pittsburgh Steelers 6-0-0
Tennessee Titans 5-1-0

Game Recap: TENNESSEE-Last offseason, Tennessee had one of the leagues best offensive tackle tandems with left tackle Taylor Lewan and right tackle Jack Conklin. Tennessee lost Conklin to the Browns in Free Agency, and last week, Lewan was placed on season ending injured reserve. This was my main reason for picking Pittsburgh, but this contest was closer than you'd imagine.

Pittsburgh dominated the first half of this game. The Steelers began this game 4/4 on thid down conversions as their opening drive took up 9 minutes and 18 seconds as Pittsburgh controlled the clock in the first quarter with that long drive. Pittsburgh went 2/2 on third down conversions on their second drive and led 7-0 after one quarter of play.

Pittsburgh got another third down conversion. Then Benny Snell Jr. pounded it in. Pittsburgh went 7/7 on their first 7 third down conversions. Pittsburgh put together a 13-play 61-yard drive from their own 39-yard line that lasted 7 minutes and 5 seconds. Their previous drive was a 16-play drive that lasted 9 minutes and 18 seconds. Pittsburgh won this game by controlling the clock with time of possession in the first half.

My biggest take away from this game was that Pittsburgh did enough in the first half to put this game away. They even got a field goal on the first drive of the second half to take a 27-3 lead early in the third quarter.

Tennessee went on a 21-0 run after that. Unforunately, Stephen Gostkowski missed a field goal that would have sent this game into overtime.

Ryan Tannehill outplayed Ben Roethlisberger in this game as he had the better game despite what the final score indicates. Pittsburgh won this game with their defensive play not their offense because Roethlisberger threw for three interceptions against one of the leagues best secondaries.

My player of the game goes to Vince Williams, the 3-4 middle linebacker. The toughest opponents that T.J. Watt and Bud Dupree faced were the Cleveland Browns, and Pittburgh's 3-4 outside linebackers had their way with Jedrick Wills Jr. and Jack Conklin. This week it was more of the same by this stingy Steelers defense as Ryan Tannehill hardly had any time to make throws in the first half.

Vrabel did a great job with his second half adjustments despite the loss. Let's get back to why Vince Williams was the player of this game.

You could make a case for Diontae Johnson, in his first game back from an injury. He only had 90 yards despite getting 2 receiving touchdowns. Vince Williams had 9 solo tackles, 1 assisted tackles, 10 total tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, and 1 sack. Vince Williams also limited Derrick Henry to 75 rushing yards and 1 rushing touchdown.

Dallas Cowboys 2-5-0
Washington Football Team 2-5-0

Game Recap: WASHINGTON-Dallas did not have Zack Martin after losing Tyron Smith, La'El Collins, and Dak Prescott for the day. This was the main reason I picked Washington.

Landon Collins forced a fumble that led to a safety. Washington took a 2-0 lead.

Washington got the ball back. Antonio Gibson got a rushing touchdown and took a 9-0 lead. Dallas got a field goal on their next possession, but that was their only score of the entire game.

The Washington Football Team destroyed Dallas 25-3. Running back Antonio Gibson had 20 carries, 128 rushing yards, and 1 rushing touchdown. Gibson won this game on the ground. Left tackle Geron Christian and right tackle Morgan Moses were both fantastic as run blockers in this game.

Everson Griffen and DeMarcus Lawrence may be good pass rushers. Both guys got a sack against these offensive tackles in pass protection. Both of these guys absolutely sucked against the run. Dallas already has enough issues when it comes to their run defense.

Buffalo Bills 5-2-0
New York Jets 0-7-0

Game Recap: NEW YORK-Buffalo already beat the New York Jets back in week 1. They were hoping to sweep the New York Jets in week 7.

New York scored first with a field goal in the first quarter. Buffalo missed their field goal attempt. New York led 3-0 after one quarter of play.

Buffalo gave up a lot of yards in the first half. They cleaned up their act in the second half and still managed to win even without getting touchdowns from Josh Allen. Buffalo didn't gain the lead until the end of the third quarter.

Jerry Hughes dominated this game at 4-3 right end. Jerry Hughes had 5 solo tackles, 1 assisted tackle, 2 sacks, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 interception, and 1 deflection from a pass breakup. Jerry Hughes was the biggest reason Buffalo won this game.

Carolina Panthers 3-4-0
New Orleans Saints 4-2-0

Game Recap: NEW ORLEANS-Teddy Bridgewater faced his former team in New Orleans. They went up against Drew Brees.

New Orleans got the ball to start this game. Drew Brees connected with Austin Carr on second and six. Drew Brees threw a touchdown pass to Jared Cook Jr. at tight end. New Orleans led 7-0.

Carolina got a field goal. New Orleans ended the first quarter on a big run. New Orleans led 7-3 after one quarter of play.

Drew Brees was 9/9 to start this game. Brees went 10/11 on his first two drives. New Orleans led 14-3.

Teddy Bridgewater threw a touchdown pass to D.J. Moore. Carolina recovered a fumble. Bridgewater went back to Moore. The pass protection by left tackle Russell Okung and right tackle Taylor Moton was phenomenal in this game. Neither Trey Hendrickson or Cameron Jordan got pressure on Bridgewater in this game.

Drew Brees threw a touchdown pass. New Orleans led 21-17 at halftime.

New Orleans put together a 15-play 78-yard drive that took up 6 minutes and 53 seconds. New Orleans led 24-17.

Teddy Brigewater put together a great drive as well with Carolina taking up 4 minutes and 16 seconds of clock. Bridgewater threw a touchdown pass to Curtis Samuel. Carolina tied this game at 24-24. The game would remain 24-24 after three quarters of play.

New Orleans put together a 13-play 55-yard drive that took up 7 minutes and 13 seconds. Will Lutz gave New Orleans a 27-24 lead with his field goal.

Carolina put together a 6 minute drive. They could not make a field goal to tie this game even though Teddy Bridgewater played well in this game. New Orleans won 27-27.

New Orleans won this game thanks to Drew Brees and some great pass blocking by left guard Andrus Peat, center Erik McCoy, right guard Cesar Ruiz, and right tackle Ryan Ramcyzk. The only player that gave up a sack was left tackle Terron Armstead who gave up a sack to Brian Burns, the Carolina Panthers 2019 first round pick. Drew Brees went 29/36 with 287 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, and no interceptions. I'm giving Andrus Peat and this Saints offensive line my player of the game award though.

Green Bay Packers 5-1-0
Houston Texans 1-6-0

Game Recap: HOUSTON-Aaron Rodgers went to Houston. Randall Cobb is now on the Texans and was once teammates with Aaron Rodgers.

Aaron Rodgers went 5/6 on his first drive. He wrapped up the drive with a touchdown pass to DaVante Adams. Green Bay led Houston 7-0 after one quarter of play.

Aaron Rodgers went back to DaVante Adams on third down. Houston brought good coverage, but it didn't matter. DaVante Adams just showcased why he's one of the NFL's most elite receivers.

Aaron Rodgers threw a touchdown to Jace Sternberger. Green Bay led 14-0.

Rodgers threw a third touchdown pass. Green Bay led 21-0 at halftime. Green Bay won 35-20.

Aaron Rodgers and DaVante Adams both dominated this game without running back Aaron Jones or left tackle David Bahktiari in the lineup. Aaron Rodgers went 23/34 with 283 passing yards, 4 passing touchdowns, and no interceptions. DaVante Adams had 13 receptions, 196 receiving yards, a career high for Adams, and 2 receiving touchdowns making Adams my player of the game.

Cleveland Browns 5-2-0
Cincinnati Bengals 1-5-1

Game Recap: CINCINNATI-Cincinnati's defensive line was at full health unlike the week 2 game. Unfortunately, Cincinnati did not have Joe Mixon or William Jackson III so you really didn't see their team at their best against the Browns.

Cincinnati got the ball to start this game. Joe Burrow threw a first down to A.J. Green. Cincinnati had a 10-play 70-yard drive that took up 5 minutes and 44 seconds.

Baker Mayfield threw an interception to Darius Phillips who lined up at field cornerback where his teammate William Jackson III usually played. Phillips was a field cornerback at his alma matter Western Michigan. Odell Beckham Jr. and starting center J.C. Tretter both got injured on that play. Odell Beckham Jr. tore his ACL and is now out for the season thanks to a torn ligament in his left knee.

Joe Burrow got a rushing touchdown. Cincinnati took a 7-0 lead.

Baker Mayfield had a rocky first quarter. He was 0/5 on completions in the first quarter. Cleveland still got a field goal. Cincinnati led 7-3 after one quarter of play after Burrow caught one of the Browns defensive tackles offsides before firing a first down to A.J. Green on a free play.

Cincinnati began this game 5/5 on third down conversions. Cleveland sacked Joe Burrow on third down. Kevin Johnson just blitzes the crap out of Burrow on third down.

Baker Mayfield put together an 11-play 70-yard drive that took up 7 minutes and 30 seconds. Mayfield threw a touchdown pass to Harrison Bryant, who was the very first player I listened too during Senior Bowl press conferences as the Browns tight end tied this game at 10.

Joe Burrow threw a touchdown pass to Tyler Boyd. Cincinnati led 17-10 at halftime.

Cleveland got the ball back. Baker Mayfield put together a 9-play 75-yard drive from his own 25-yard line that took up 5 minutes and 28 seconds. Mayfield threw his second touchdown of the day to the former Florida Atlantic tight end Harrison Bryant. Cleveland tied this game at 17-17.

Cincinnati took up 6 minutes and 41 seconds. They got a field goal. Cincinnati led 20-17 after three quarters of play.

Baker Mayfield threw a first down to Rashard Higgins to begin the fourth quarter. Then he threw a touchdown pass to David Njoku. Cleveland took a 24-20 lead.

Joe Burrow put goether a 12-play 80-yard drive from the Bengals 20-yard line. Joe Burrow threw a touchdown to Tee Higgins. Cincinnati regained the lead and led 27-24.

Baker Mayfield put together a 7-play 75-yard drive from the Browns 25-yard line. He threw a touchdown pass to Kareem Hunt. Cleveland led 31-27.

Joe Burrow put together another big drive in the fourth quarter. Giovanni Bernard had a 3 yard receiving touchdown. Cincinnati led 34-31.

Baker Mayfield threw the game-winning touchdown to Donovan Peoples-Jones with 11 seconds left. Cleveland won 37-34. Baker Mayfield had 297 passing yards, 5 passing touchdowns, and 1 interception. My player or players of the game go to the offensive tackle tandem of left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. and right tackle Jack Conklin who bounced back after last weeks disaster in Pittsburgh.

Detroit Lions 3-3-0
Atlanta Falcons 1-6-0

Game Recap: ATLANTA-Former Georgia Bulldogs Matthew Stafford and D'Andre Swift return to Atlanta. This game was probably the most exciting early game of the week.

D'Andre Swift got a rushing touchdown. Detroit led 7-0 after one quarter of play.

Todd Gurley got a rushing touchdown. Atlanta tied this game at 7-7.

Matthew Stafford threw a third down conversion to Danny Amendola. Atlanta made a huge defensive stop after Adrian Peterson got the ball on fourth down. This may have turned out differently if Detroit got more creative with their play calling or gave Swift the ball. Atlanta made a huge defensive stop here.

Matt Ryan put together a 14-play 98-yard drive after starting the drive with the ball at the Falcons 2-yard line. Ryan connected with Ridley on the touchdown pass. Atlanta took a 14-7 lead.

Detroit got a field goal. Atlanta led 14-10 at halftime.

Detroit put together an 11-play 63-yard drive that took up 7 minutes and 26 seconds of play in the third quarte. The Lions got a field goal from that drive. Atlanta led 14-13.

Atlanta held Detroit to a three and out. Atlanta put together a 96-yard drive only to suffer a turnover on downs. Atlanta led 14-13 after three quarters of play.

Detroit took up 4 minutes and 25 seconds in the fourth quarter only to miss a field goal. Atlanta had a chance to put this game away, but they fumbled the ball.

Detroit recovered the ball. Once Detroit recovered the ball they got a field goal. Detroit led 16-14.

Atlanta got the ball with 3 minutes and 9 seconds. Matt Ryan took 2 minutes and 12 seconds on this drive and led Atlanta downfield. A 16-yard pass to Russell Gage was the most noitceable play before Todd Gurley pounded it in for a touchdown. The plan was for Todd Gurley to fall to the ground so Atlanta could run out the clock for a field goal, but Gurley accidentally ran it into the end zone for a touchdown. Atlanta then proceeded to get a two point conversion as Ryan connected with Ridley. Atlanta led 22-16.

Matthew Stafford threw the game-winning touchdown to tight end T.J. Hockenson with 2 seconds left. Detroit made the extra point thanks to kicker Matt Prater and won this game 23-22.

Matthew Stafford was my player of the game. Matthew Stafford went 25/36 with 340 passing yards, 1 passing touchdown, and no interceptions.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 5-2-0
Las Vegas Raiders 3-3-0

Game Recap: LAS VEGAS-Tom Brady faced Derek Carr. Both of my quarterbacks in Fantasy Football were starting this game in our leagues two quarterback league.

Derek Carr gave the Las Vegas Raiders the lead. Derek Carr threw a touchdown pass to Nelson Agholor.

Tampa Bay began their first drive with the ball on their own 23-yard line. Tom Brady ran for a rushing touchdown on a 10-play 77-yard drive. This game was tied 7-7 after one quarter of play.

Las Vegas got a field goal on their next drive. Las Vegas led 10-7, as that field goal was their only score of the second quarter.

Tom Brady threw two touchdowns in the second quarter. The first one was to Rob Gronkowski, which gave Tampa Bay a 14-10 lead. Tampa Bay led 21-10 at halftime after Brady threw his second touchdown of the first half.

Tampa Bay got a field goal. Tampa Bay led 24-10.

Derek Carr put together a 6-play 61-yard drive that took up 4 minutes and 1 second of play.

Tampa Bay led 24-17 after three quarters of play. Las Vegas had their worst fourth quarter of the season in this contest.

Tampa Bay outscored Las Vegas 21-3 in the fourth quarter. Tampa Bay won 45-20.

Quarterback Tom Brady was my player of the game. Tom Brady went 33/45 with 369 passing yards, 4 passing touchdowns, and no interceptions.

Jacksonville Jaguars 1-6-0
Los Angeles Chargers 2-4-0

Game Recap: LOS ANGELES-Two former PAC 12 legends in Gardner Minshew II and Justin Herbert squared off. Gardner Minshew II played in the 2019 Senior Bowl. Herbert played in the 2020 Senior Bowl.

Both quarterbacks played well enough to avoid turnovers. Herbert had over 300 yards passing and Minshew didn't which is why the Chargers won 39-29. Justin Herbert was my player of the game as he went 27/43 with 347 passing yards, 3 passing touchdowns, and no interceptions.

San Francisco 49ers 4-3-0
New England Patriots 3-3-0

Game Recap: NEW ENGLAND-Jimmy Garoppolo was drafted by New England out of Eastern Illinois. He was suiting up as the starting quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers in this one.

San Francisco just dominated New England on both sides of the ball. Cam Newton missed an open receiver on one of his deep throws.

San Francisco demolished the New England Patriots 33-6. Jeffrey Wilson had 17 carries, 112 rushing yards, and 2 rushing touchdowns.

Kansas City Chiefs 6-1-0
Denver Broncos 2-4-0

Game Recap: DENVER-Kansas City heads to Denver. This was the first Patrick Mahomes VS Drew Lock matchup in Denver. Last year Matt Moore started for Kansas City on Thursday Night football against Joe Flacco. In 2020, we'd finally get Mahomes VS Lock.

This game was a blowout. Kansas City maintained the lead for the duration of the entire game.

Mahomes did well managing the game avoiding turnovers, but this was not a signature performance on his end. To be fair right tackle Mitchell Schwartz was out of this game with an injury at right tackle. Mahomes showed great leadership taking accountability for the lack of offensive production.

Kansas City's defense frustrated all 11 players on Denver's offense. This defense as a group gets my player of the game award with 3 sacks, 4 tackles for a loss, 5 deflections, 2 intercptions, 2 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries. That's 18 big plays by this defense.

I thought Garrett Bolles did worse after doing well against the Patriots last week. Denver fans disagreed with me defending Bolles play at left tackle while criticizing the play of second year quarterback Drew Lock. Pro Football Focus mentioned that Bolles ranks first among left tackles, third in pass blocking, and second in run blocking among left tackles in the NFL.

Seattle Seahawks 5-1-0
Arizona Cardinals 5-2-0

Game Recap: ARIZONA-This game was going to be a classic. There was a reason I picked the Arizona Cardinals to win 31-30.

I was pretty close on the score. Arizona won 37-34 in overtime. This game almost ended in a tie with both teams making mistakes on offense. Both teams made defensive stops.

Russell Wilson went 33/50 with 388 passing yards, 3 passing touchdowns, 3 interceptions, 84 rushing yards, and 472 total yards at quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks. Tyler Lockett had 15 receptions, 200 receiving yards, and 3 receiving touchdowns. Russell Wilson targeted Tyler Lockett 20 times.

Kyler Murray went 34/48 with 360 passing yards, 3 passing touchdowns, 67 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown, 427 total yards, 4 total touchdowns, and 1 interception. Kyler Murray rallied this team back when Seattle had a 34-24 lead so he's the player of the game. He wasn't perfect, but he was clutch as fuck.

Head coach Kliff Kingsburry deserves some respect. He was the head coach for this Arizona Cardinals team that rallied back in this game to win the contest for the Arizona Cardinals.

Chicago Bears 5-2-0
Los Angeles Rams 5-2-0

Game Recap: LOS ANGELES-Chicago had to face one of the best offenses. Nick Foles faced his former team on Monday Night Football.

Jared Goff threw a touchdown pass to Josh Reynolds. Los Angeles led 7-0 after one quarter of play.

Both teams did well defensively in the second quarter keeping the opposition out of the end zone. Chicago got a field goal to make it a 7-3 game. Los Angeles also got a field goal to take a 10-3 lead. Los Angeles led 10-3 at halftime.

Los Angeles scored a touchdown. Malcolm Brown ran it in. Los Angeles led 17-3.

Nick Foles threw an interception on his next drive. Taylor Rapp, the Washington Huskies safety that I wasn't high on during the 2019 NFL Draft made a big play by intercepting the former Arizona Wildcats quarterback. Rapp prevented Chicago from scoring which is big for the Rams.

Gerald Everett got the first touchdown of more than 10 yards against this stout Chicago Bears defense. The Los Angeles Rams are loaded with weapons offensively which is one reason why I picked this team to win. Los Angeles led 24-3. Los Angeles led 24-3 after three quarters of play.

Terrell Lewis, the Los Angeles Rams 2020 third round pick made a stop on fourth down. That stop enabled the Rams to make a comeback.

Los Angeles won this game 24-10. Jalen Ramsey put this game away with an interception and Ramsey was my player of the game with his playmaking in this contest.
