This is the third AFC Championship game between these teams within the span of 27 years. Kansas City beat Buffalo to go to Super Bowl 1. Buffalo beat them 27 years later. Two players warrant player of the game for the Kansas City Chiefs. Those players are quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce. You could also make a case for wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill 9 receptions for 172 receiving yards. He didn't get a receiving touchdown which is why he's not my player of the game. White deserves some credit for keeping him out of the end zone.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes went 29/38 with 325 passing yards, 3 passing touchdowns, and no interceptions. My player of the game though was Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce who had 13 targets, 118 receiving yards, and 2 receiving touchdowns.

The reigning Super Bowl 54 Champions will head to Tampa Bay to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tom Brady is now the quarterback of Tampa Bay and he handed Mahomes his last playoff loss in overtime.
