Ty Rattie Cannot Make The Transition To The AHL

Posted By: Lisa Donovan on 8/25/2015

T.J. Oshie is no longer on the St. Louis Blues. St. Louis drafted his eventual replacement back in 2011. His name is Ty Rattie. Rattie is a right winger.

Rattie had 2 seasons with 110 and 121 points with the Portland Winterhawks. Rattie has only posted 48 and 42 points in the AHL. Ty Rattie enters his final year of his three-year two-way rookie contract. Rattie is going to be a Free Agent next season.

It will be interesting to see if Rattie remains in St. Louis or goes to another team because the Blues refuse to give him a one-way contract. Either way, he needs a statement year with the Chicago Wolves just to receive a one-way contract to the NHL.
