Mark Sciubba's 2017 NFL Mock Draft: 7 Rounds
Round 7
Mark Sciubba's third 2017 NFL Mock Draft is up. This one is seven rounds!
Mark Sciubba follow @MarkSciubbaDoe Last Updated: April 10, 2017.
San Francisco 49ers: Ezra Robinson, CB, Tennessee State
- The 49ers should use their 7th round pick on a corner like Robinson. He could be a steal here in the 7th.
- Other San Francisco 49ers Selections
Washington Redskins: Jalen Myrick, CB, Minnesota
- You can never have too many corners in the NFL. Myrick is more than worth a shot here late.
- Other Washington Redskins Selections
Chicago Bears: I'Tavius Mathers, RB, Middle Tennessee State
- Another player no one talks about enough. Mathers could be a perfect compliment to Jordan Howard.
- Other Chicago Bears Selections
Jacksonville Jaguars: Joshua Dobbs, QB, Tennessee
- Dobbs could be the steal of the draft here. He'd have a foggy path to get there but he could end up the starter in Jacksonville by the end of the year.
- Other Jacksonville Jaguars Selections
Miami Dolphins: Ben Gedeon, LB, Michigan
- Miami gets a guy who can be a core special teams player and backup here which is always a good option late in the draft.
- Other Miami Dolphins Selections
New York Jets: Xavier Woods, S, Louisiana Tech
- The Jets roster is a mess right now so grabbing a quality safety prospect late like Woods would be a great move for them.
- Other New York Jets Selections
Los Angeles Chargers: Ahmad Thomas, S, Oklahoma
- Chargers stay with the ass kicking theme and get a hard hitting safety.
- Other Los Angeles Chargers Selections
Seattle Seahawks: Zane Gonzalez, K, Arizona State
- Seattle takes the best kicker prospect in the draft to compete with Blair Walsh.
- Other Seattle Seahawks Selections
Cincinnati Bengals: Nazair Jones, DL, North Carolina
- Jones can be a great rotational player and future starter.
- Other Cincinnati Bengals Selections
Dallas Cowboys: Justin Senior, OL, Mississippi State
- Dallas gets some depth for the best unit in football.
- Other Dallas Cowboys Selections
New Orleans Saints: Isaac Rochell, DL, Notre Dame
- I've probably said this 5 times already in this mock but here it goes again, the Saints take the best defensive player available.
- Other New Orleans Saints Selections
Philadelphia Eagles: Tashawn Bower, DL, LSU
- I think Jim Schwartz could get the full potential out of a guy like Bower.
- Other Philadelphia Eagles Selections
Arizona Cardinals: Damien Mama, OL, USC
- With Palmer likely headed into the last year of career, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get this guy to watch his back.
- Other Arizona Cardinals Selections
Minnesota Vikings: Sam Rogers, FB, Virginia Tech
- Rogers is a very good FB. He can block and make plays and is worth a 7th round pick.
- Other Minnesota Vikings Selections
Carolina Panthers: Freddie Stevenson, FB, Florida State
- Stevenson will take over Mike Tolbert's role as a FB/RB now that he's in Buffalo.
- Other Carolina Panthers Selections
Los Angeles Rams: Ken Ekanem, EDGE, Virginia Tech
- The Rams defense needs to add a few players late to help ease their transition to a 3-4.
- Other Los Angeles Rams Selections
Washington Redskins: Ben Boulware, LB, Clemson
- Boulware was a team leader for the national championship team. He'll need to prove his worth on special teams to stick in the NFL. If he doesn't I think he'd make a great coach.
- Other Washington Redskins Selections
Tennessee Titans: Isaiah McKenzie, WR, Georgia
- Tennessee gets a slot/return guy late. McKenzie gives Mariota a type of weapon he doesn't have currently.
- Other Tennessee Titans Selections
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Brandon Wilson, CB, Houston
- Wilson's speed will make any DB coach excited to work with him. He's a perfect value here for the Buccaneers.
- Other Tampa Bay Buccaneers Selections
Denver Broncos: Hunter Dimick, DL, Utah
- Denver invests another pick into keeping their defense as one of the best in the league.
- Other Denver Broncos Selections
New England Patriots: Jalen Robinette, WR, Air Force
- Bill Bellichick has a deep respect for the Military and usually likes to grab a prospect from one of our military schools late in the draft. Robinette could be a developmental WR and play special teams. He's also a good value here.
- Other New England Patriots Selections
Jacksonville Jaguars: Devine Redding, RB, Indiana
- Another guy I think could be a giant steal for Jacksonville late.
- Other Jacksonville Jaguars Selections
New York Giants: Antony Auclair, TE, Laval
- The Giants grab a tight end late to compete for the number 2 spot.
- Other New York Giants Selections
Oakland Raiders: Austin Carr, WR, Northwestern
- Carr could be a valuable slot receiver for the Raiders.
- Other Oakland Raiders Selections
Houston Texans: Najee Murray, CB, Kent State
- Houston grabs Murray late to help fill the void they have after losing their best corner.
- Other Houston Texans Selections
Oakland Raiders: Stevie Tu'ikolovatu, DL, USC
- Stevie is a big strong tough football player who will fit in on the Raiders as a 2 down player.
- Other Oakland Raiders Selections
Kansas City Chiefs: Nate Hairston, CB, Temple
- A tough Temple guy like Hairston will fit right in on that Chiefs' defense.
- Other Kansas City Chiefs Selections
Dallas Cowboys: Jeremy Clark, CB, Michigan
- Dallas adds another good secondary prospect.
- Other Dallas Cowboys Selections
Green Bay Packers: Tony Conner, S, Ole Miss
- Another guy who didn't live up to the hype they had coming into the year but can still be a great NFL player.
- Other Green Bay Packers Selections
Pittsburgh Steelers: DeAngelo Brown, DL, Louisville
- The Steelers like many other teams in the 6th or 7th round just take the best player available.
- Other Pittsburgh Steelers Selections
Atlanta Falcons: CJ Beathard, QB, Iowa
- Atlanta takes a flier on Beathard who could be a good backup QB for them eventually.
- Other Atlanta Falcons Selections
Detroit Lions: Ifeadi Odenigbo, EDGE, Northwestern
- This late in the draft Detroit just takes a chance on a pass rusher.
- Other Detroit Lions Selections
Cincinnati Bengals: Dan Skipper, OL, Arkansas
- Cincinatti takes a shot on a player with good tape but big questions here.
- Other Cincinnati Bengals Selections
Denver Broncos: Austin Rehkow, P, Idaho
- When you're playing at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, kicking specialists are very important, so Broncos invest a pick in the best punting prospect here. Austin Rehkow has experience at both kicker and punter for Idaho making him a fantastic late round pick here.
- Other Denver Broncos Selections
Denver Broncos: Kyle Fuller, C, Baylor
- My choice for Mr irrelevant is Kyle Fuller an interior offensive lineman from Baylor. Baylor players don't exactly have the best track record of translating to the NFL so he falls all the way to the last pick and gets a parade.
- Other Denver Broncos Selections
Top 3 Undrafted Players At Every Position
- The players listed below are guys I think will have no problem finding an NFL team even though in this mock they went undrafted. The fun part of the draft is how unpredictable it is. Every year we have one or two guys in the 2nd or 3rd rounds of mocks go undrafted and guys who most have never heard of get picked earlier than anyone thought. All these guys listed below could get picked late. Keep these names in mind as you enjoy watching the draft.
