2016 Fantasy Football Kicker Rankings

Jason Bantle Last Updated: June 6, 2016.

  1. Stephen Gostkowski, K, New England Patriots

Stephen Gostkowski is the best kicker in fantasy right now. He went 33/36 in 2015 on field goals and converted 100 percent of extra points during the regular season. It's not just that the Patriots get a touchdown or field goal 60 percent of the time they enter their opponents red zone. The Patriots only convert 29 percent of their third down conversions on the road meaning Gostkowski can get you a lot of fantasy points in road games outside of Gillette Stadium plus Gostkowski is money at home when lining up for field goals.

  2. Roberto Aguayo, K, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tampa Bay's kicker was unbelievable at Florida State. I think Aguayo will come out and have a huge impact as a rookie kicker. Aguayo went 21/22 as a freshman, 27/30 as a sophomore, and 21/26 as a junior. He won the Lou Groza Award as a true freshman. Aguayo missed only one extra point in his entire three year career at Florida State. That's how good Aguayo is.

  3. Steven Hauschka, K, Seattle Seahawks

Steven Hauschka is still one of the best kickers in the NFL. You can argue he's the top kicker after Gostkowski. Steven Hauschka went 29/31 on field goals in 2015 and hit a 54 yard field goal which was his longest field goal of the year. Hauschka hit 90.9 percent of his extra points which is why he came in at 3 behind Aguayo.

  4. Adam Vinatieri, K, Indianapolis Colts

Adam Vinatieri had a comeback year in 2015 going 25/27 on field goals. He also helped Tom Brady win his first three Super Bowl. Vinatieri hit 91.4 percent of his extra points even at his age last season which makes him a top 5 kicker.

  5. Justin Tucker, K, Baltimore Ravens

Justin Tucker is still a top 5 kicker even though he went 33/40 in 2015. Tucker bailed out Baltimore out in a ton of critical situations last year. He hit a 52 yard field goal and made 100 percent of his extra points just like Stephen Gostkowski.

  6. Chandler Catanzaro, K, Arizona Cardinals

Chandler Catanzaro went 28/31 on field goals. Catanzaro did a good job on field goals when Carson Palmer struggled with third down conversions. Catanzaro also hit 91.7 percent of extra points.

  7. Graham Gano, K, Carolina Panthers

The Panthers kicker Graham Gano went 30/36 in 2015. Gano hit a 52 yard field goal last year. He also made 94.9 percent of extra points. His leg helped Carolina get to Super Bowl 50.

  8. Mason Crosby, K, Green Bay Packers

Green Bay scores in the red zone 55 percent of the time. The irony is that Packers ranked 27th in the NFL only getting third down conversions 34 percent of the time. Crosby went 24/28 in 2015 on field goal attempts. Crosby made a field goal from 56 yards and nailed 100 percent of his extra points just like Stephen Gostkowski and Justin Tucker.

  9. Blair Walsh, K, Minnesota Vikings

Blair Walsh went 34/39 on field goals. He also only got extra points 89.2 percent of the time. Walsh can get you around 35 field goals a year and that's what makes him a top 10 kicker in fantasy despite his field goal percentage.

  10. Brandon McManus, K, Denver Broncos

Brandon McManus went 30/35 on field goals in 2015. McManus made 97.2 percent of extra points last year as well. The Broncos were 28th in both red zone percentage and third down conversions meaning McManus will get his fair share of field goal action when the Broncos are in the red zone.

  11. Mike Nugent, K, Cincinnati Bengals

Mike Nugent went 23/28 on field goals in 2015. Nugent also made 98 percent of extra points. Cincinnati is 6th in the red zone and 14th on third down conversions. Nugent made a 52 yard field goal last year and will get his fair share of opportunities.

  12. Greg Zuerlein, K, Los Angeles Rams

Greg Zuerlein only made 20/30 field goals in 2015. Zuerlein hit a 61 yard field goal and 92.9 percent of extra points. His 61 yard field goal and track record for extra points has him in our top 15.

  13. Sebastian Janikowski, K, Oakland Raiders

Janikowski made 63 yard field goals back in the day. He's no longer a kicker that makes it from long distance. He may decline soon, but for now he's still a top 15 kicker as he went 21/26 on field goals in 2015. He also made 97.4 percent of his extra points last season.

  14. Dan Bailey, K, Dallas Cowboys

Dallas has a potent offense when Tony Romo is healthy along with Dez Bryant. Dallas was 30th in the red zone and 26th on third down conversions. Dan Bailey made 30/32 field goals and converted 100 percent of his extra points in 2016. Bailey is a top 15 kicker after his 2015 campaign and could be a kicker we are sleeping on in 2016.

  15. Josh Brown, K, New York Giants

Josh Brown was 30/32 just like Dan Bailey. Brown didn't hit 100 percent of his extra points which is why he rounded out the top 15.

  16. Cairo Santos, K, Kansas City Chiefs

Cairo Santos was 30/37 on field goals. He's not the most consistent with field goals. He made 95.1 percent of his extra points as well as a 53 yard field goal.

  17. Robbie Gould, K, Chicago Bears

Robbie Gould's 33/39 on field goals in 2015 was a bit underwhelming. At the same time Gould can hit a

  18. Josh Lambo, K, San Diego Chargers

Josh Lambo went 26/32 and he made 87.5 percent of his extra points in 2015. The former F.C. Dallas goalie needs to have a better season in 2016.

  19. Dan Carpenter, K, Buffalo Bills

Dan Carpenter went 23/27 on field goals. Carpenter only made 85 percent of extra points in 2015. Carpenter should do better this upcoming season.

  20. Nick Novak, K, Houston Texans

Nick Novak went 18/21 on field goals while making 93.5 percent of his extra points. Houston brought in 2015 Lou Groza Award winner Ka'imi Fairbairn from UCLA to challenge Novak for the Texans starting kicker job which is why Novak edges out Travis Coons for the final spot in our rankings.
