Texas:
- •2021 record: 50-17 (17-7 Big 12)
- •Starters expected to return: 7 batters, 2 starting pitchers, 8 relief pitchers.
- •Key starters expected to leave: SP Ty Madden 1st round pick drafted thirty second overall, RP Cole Quintanilla 9th round pick, SP Kolby Kubichek 18th round pick, SS Cam Williams 19th round pick, 1B Zach Zubia 20th round pick
- •Key players returning: 3B Ivan Melendez, SP Tristan Stevens, LF Eric Kennedy, SP Pete Hansen, SP Tanner Witt, SS Trey Faltine, 2B Mitchell Daly, C Silas Ardoin, CF Douglas Hodo, RF Dalton Porter, DH Peyton Powell, Lucas Gordon RP/SP.
- Team Outlook:
- Texas only loses two starting batters and their ace pitcher Ty Madden who the Detroit Tigers took in the compensation part during the first round of the 2021 MLB Draft. Tristan Stevens and Pete Hansen ranked second adn third on the Longhorns in starts behind Madden last season. Also Tanner Witt a top 60 prospect in the 2020 MLB Draft stepped up in a big way against Tennessee in the 2021 College World Series. The Texas Longhorns bullpen is absolutely loaded as well. Texas got to the Semifinals in 2021 before losing to eventual College World Series Champion Mississippi State. With all the talent, returning to the Texas Longhorns, Texas has to be the early favorite to win the 2022 College World Series in Omaha.
Vanderbilt:
- •2021 record: 49-18 (19-10 SEC)
- •Starters expected to return: 9 batters, 1 starting pitcher, 8 relief pitchers.
- •Key starters expected to leave: SP Jack Leiter 1st round pick drafted second overall and SP Kumar Rocker 1st round pick drafted tenth overall.
- •Key players returning: C Dominic Keegan, 1B Spencer Jones, 2B Tate Kolwyck, 3B Parker Noland, SS Carter Young, LF Javier Vaz, CF Enrique Brafdfield Jr, RF Isaiah Thomas, DH Troy LaNeve, SP Christian Little, SP Patrick Reilly, SP Thomas Schultz.
- Team Outlook:
- Vanderbilt defeated Michigan to win the 2019 College World Series. They got back to the College World Series Championship Game in 2021 after Covid-19 cancelled the 2020 College Baseball Season only to fall short to one of their SEC rivals. Vanderbilt has all nine batters returning despite losing the 2021 College World Series to Mississippi State. The Vanderbilt Commordore's batting lineup will be headlined by shortstop Carter Young who led Vanderbilt with 16 home runs in 2021 and first baseman Spencer Jones who both project as first round picks in the 2022 MLB Draft. Vanderbilt has two sophomore pitchers in Christian Little and Patrick Reilly who are ready to take over for Kumar Rocker and Jack Leiter who were both drafted in the top 10 of the 2021 MLB Draft. Little started 11 games while Reilly started 9 contests for Vanderbilt last year. Thomas Schultz started 7 games in 2021 and will take over as the Sunday starter. Vanderbilt is pretty stacked once again and it wouldn't surprise me to see the Commodores win it all.
Mississippi State:
- •2021 record: 50-18 (20-10 SEC)
- •Starters expected to return: 7 batters, 1 starting pitcher, 8 relief pitchers.
- •Key starters expected to leave: SP Will Bednar 1st round pick drafted fourteenth overall, RF Tanner Allen fourth round, SP Christian MacLeod fifth round, and CF Rowdey Jordan eleventh round.
- •Key players returning: 3B Kamren James, RP Landon Sims, C Logan Tanner, SP Jackson Fristoe, SP Andrew Walling, SP Jack Walker, SP Pico Kohn.
- Team Outlook:
- The Bulldogs finally won their first College World Series in program history. Mississippi State did a nice job reloading when you consider the program lost their ace pitcher Will Bednar to the San Francisco Giants as well as the SEC Player of the Year to the Miami Marlins in the fourth round. Mississippi State lost two outfielders, two starting pitchers, and three committments who were drafted in the first five rounds of the 2021 MLB Draft. Mississippi State got a transfer pitcher along with two highly touted High School recruits at pitcher. If the freshman recruits can step up for Mississippi State, the Bulldogs can be right back in Omaha competing with Texas and Vanderbilt in the Final 4 for the 2022 College World Series after winning the College World Series a year ago. Never dismiss a defending champion until they've been dethroned from the ranks.
Notre Dame:
- •2021 record: 33-12 (25-10 ACC)
- •Starters expected to return: 8 batters, 3 starting pitchers, 8 relief pitchers.
- •Key starters expected to leave: 1B Niko Kavadas drafted in the eleventh round.
- •Key players returning: C David LaManna, 2B Jared Miller, SS Zack Parjzner, 3B Jack Brannigan, LF Ryan Cole, CF Spencer Myers, RF Brooks Coetzee, DH Carter Putz, SP John Michael Bertrand, SP Aidan Tyrell, SP Will Mercer, 1B/OF/P Nick DeMarco, RP Liam Simon, SP/RP Roman Kimball, SP/RP Jack Findlay.
- Team Outlook:
- The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have an incredibly deep baseball team that has 8 batters back and all 3 starting pitchers from last years team. The only player they lost was their star batter Niko Kavadas who the Boston Red Sox drafted in the eleventh round of the 2021 MLB Draft. Notre Dame got to the Starkville Super Regional losing out on a College World Series spot to Mississippi State the eventual College World Series Champions and current defending Champs. Notre Dame should play well enough to host a South Bend Super Regional in 2022. The Fighting Irish also recruited three key players in Nick DeMarco, Roman Kimball, and Jack Findlay who can step up in bigger roles if injuries occur. Notre Dame has an incredibly deep roster in 2022 despite not having a player that's projected as a first round pick in the 2022 MLB Draft at the moment.
Virginia:
- •2021 record: 29-23 (18-18 ACC)
- •Starters expected to return: 7 batters, 1 starting pitcher, 7 relief pitchers.
- •Key starters expected to leave: SP Andrew Abbott second round, 3B Zack Gelof second round, SP Griff McGarry fifth round, SP Mike Vasil eighth round, SS Nic Kent eleventh round, RP Zach Messinger thirteenth round.
- •Key players returning: SP Nate Savino, C Kyle Teel, CF Chris Newell, RF Alex Tappen, LF Jimmy Sullivan, 2B Max Cotier, 1B/DH/3B/P Devin Ortiz, 1B/2B/RF Jake Gelof.
- Team Outlook:
- Virginia lost their three most experienced starting pitchers. Their 2022 first round prospect is Nate Savino. Savino will anchor the Virginia Cavaliers starting rotation after learning behind veterans last year. Also Virginia has a good core of batters returning including Kyle Teel who led Virginia in batting average and home runs at catcher last year. Everyone except for their third baseman and shortstop is back Virginia. Virginia trounced Notre Dame 14-1 in the ACC Tournament. After losing the opener to South Carolina in the Columbia Super Regional, the Cavaliers won out to represent the Columbia Super Regional in the College World Series. Virginia won their first game against Tennessee before losing to Mississippi State and Texas in an elimination game. Virginia could easly be a top 8 team once again and may even get their own regional bracket this time around.
Florida:
- •2021 record: 38-22 (17-13 SEC)
- •Starters expected to return: 6 batters, 1 starting pitcher, 5 relief pitchers.
- •Key starters expected to leave: SP Tommy Mace second round, C Nathan Hickey fifth round, RF Jacob Young seventh round, RP Jack Leftwich seventh round, SP Franco Aleman tenth round, SS Jordan Carrion transferred to Florida State.
- •Key players returning: SP Hunter Barco, SP Brandon Sproat, and CF Jud Fabian.
- Team Outlook:
- Florida is hoping for a much better baseball season in 2022 after getting embarassed in the Gainsville Regional losing 19-1 to South Alabama in an elimination game. Hunter Barco will be the Friday Night Starter in 2022 after being the Saturday Night starter behind Tommy Mace in 2021. Brandon Sproat will transition from a relief pitcher role to potentially being the number two starter on Florida this Spring. Florida's leading home run hitter Jud Fabian is back at center fielder after the Boston Red Sox 2021 second round pick failed to sign his rookie deal. Florida will only go as far as Barco, Sproat, and Fabian take this team since the Gators have 16 true freshman enrolling on their baseball this Spring. There's enough talent for Florida to get to the College World Series in Omaha if Barco, Sproat, and Fabian stay healthy. Florida probably won't reach the Semifinals in Omaha with such an inexperienced team, but getting to Omaha with this squad would be an accomplishment in its own right.
Stanford:
- •2021 record: 39-17 (17-10 Pac-12)
- •Starters expected to return: 7 batters, 2 starting pitchers, 8 relief pitchers.
- •Key starters expected to leave: SP Brendan Beck second round, 2B Tim Tawa eleventh round, RF Christian Robinson fifteenth round.
- •Key players returning: CF Brock Jones.
- Team Outlook:
- Stanford outscored Texas Tech 24-3 in the Lubboch Super Regional to get to the 2021 College World Series. Stanford crushed their PAC 12 opponent Arizona 14-5 in an elimination game during the 2021 College World Series. Brock Jones took the center fielder job from Christian Robinson as a true freshman before Covid-19 shortened Stanford's 2020 season. Their star center fielder Brock Jones had a .311 batting average, 18 home runs, 14 stolen bases, and 13 doubles last spring as a sophomore in 2021. Stanford will return to Omaha if Brock Jones can replicate what he did last season since Turner is currently a 2022 first round prospect. In order for Stanford to be one of the top 6 teams at the end of the season, they will need someone to step up next season on the mound since their ace Brendan Beck is now in the New York Yankees farm system.
Arkansas:
- •2021 record: 50-13 (22-8 SEC)
- •Starters expected to return: 4 batters, 1 starting pitcher, 5 relief pitchers.
- •Key starters expected to leave: RP Kevin Kopps third round, CF Christian Franklin fourth round, RP Ryan Costeiu seventh round, C Casey Opitz eighth round, SP Patrick Wicklander eighth round, SP Lael Lockhart ninth round, RP Caden Monke fourteenth round, DH Charlie Welch nineteenth round, DH Matt Goodheart undrafted free agent signed with Philadelphia Phillies, 3B Cullen Smith undrafted.
- •Key players returning: 2B Robert Moore, SP Peyton Pallette, SS Peyton Stovall.
- Team Outlook:
- Arkansas dominated the regular season and won the SEC Tournament. Arkansas entered the 2021 College World Series as the top overall seed before falling short. Arkansas lost two starting pitchers, their closer, set up pitcher, and their best middle reliever so their bullpen has taken a hit. Christian Franklin and Casey Poitz got drafted by the Chicago Cubs. The thing is Arkansas already reloaded at catcher got Kent State's starting catcher from the transfer portal which will keep the Razorbacks infield strong. Freshman Peyton Stovall will compliment veteran second baseman Robert Moore who currently projects as a first round pick in the 2022 MLB Draft. Arkansas has enough talent to get back to Omaha, but they lost quite a bit of quality players, so I can't see them winning it all.
Ole Miss:
- •2021 record: 45-22 (18-12 SEC)
- •Starters expected to return: 9 batters, 1 starting pitcher, 7 relief pitchers.
- •Key starters expected to leave: SP Gunnar Hoglund first round ninteenth overall, SP Doug Nikhazy second round, RP Taylor Broadway sixth round.
- •Key players returning: SS Jacob Gonzalez, LF Kevin Graham, 3B Justin Bench, 1B Tim Elko, SP Derek Diamond, 2B Peyton Chataginer, RP Jack Washburn.
- Team Outlook:
- The Ole Miss Rebels have all nine batters back. This team may have the best infield in all of College Baseball. Sophomore shortstop Jacob Gonzalez was freshman of the year last season in 2021. Gonzalez is on pace to be a 2023 first round pick. Ole Miss is talented enough to get to the Super Regionals. Their good enough to get to Omaha if their starting rotation shows up to pitch. Ole Miss believes their pitching rotation is deeper than last season despite the losses of Gunnder Hogland and Doug Nikhazy. Former Oregon State reliever Jack Washburn will replace Taylor Broadway with the rest of the relievers on Ole Miss bck.
LSU:
- •2021 record: 38-25 (13-17 SEC)
- •Starters expected to return: 9 batters, 1 starting pitcher, 8 relief pitchers.
- •Key starters expected to leave: SP Jaden Hill second round, SP Landon Marceaux third round.
- •Key players returning: 1B Jacob Berry.
- Team Outlook:
- LSU got Arizona first baseman Jacob Berry from the Transfer Portal. This makes LSU a contender in 2022 with all 9 other batters from last years team. LSU's got all of their bullpen arms back as well.
Oregon State:
- •2021 record: 37-24 (16-14 PAC 12)
- •Starters expected to return: 6 batters, 2 starting pitchers, 4 relief pitchers.
- •Key starters expected to leave: SP Kevin Abel seventh round, RP Chase Watkins ninth round pick, RP Bryant Salgado fourteenth round pick, C Troy Claunch transferred to Texas A&M, RP Jack Washburn transferred to Ole Miss, SS Andy Armstrong undrafted, RP Jake Mulholland undrafted, and 2B Ryan Ober undrafted.
- •Key players returning: SP Cooper Hjerpe, RP Nathan Burns.
- Team Outlook:
- Cooper Hjerpe is going to have to carry Oregon State like Kevin Abel did when Oregon State won the 2018 College World Series if Oregon State has any shot of getting to Omaha. Nathan Burns is their one returning relief pitcher after losing four relievers to the 2021 MLB Draft. Troy Claunch transferred to Texas A&M and two of Oregon State's batters went undrafted. Oregon State is known for their College Baseball more than anything else, but the Beavers may be looking at a Super Regional appearance at best with all of the losses on their roster.
Florida State:
- •2021 record: 31-24 (20-16 ACC)
- •Starters expected to return: 6 batters, 2 starting pitchers, 5 relief pitchers.
- •Key starters expected to leave: C Matheu Nelson 1st round pick drafted thirty fifth overall, RF Robby Martin Jr. eighth round, RP Hunter Perdue tenth round, RP Jack Anderson sixteenth round, LF Elijah Cabell seventeenth round, SP Conor Grady eighteenth round, RP Tyler Ahearn twentieth round.
- •Key players returning: SP Bryce Hubbart.
- Team Outlook:
- Florida State has lost a lot of talent in the last two MLB Drafts. One player that will have to carry the Seminoles this Spring is Bryce Hubbart. Hubbart has a chance to be a 2022 first round pick with a strong season. Florida Gators shortstop Jordan Carrion transferred to Florida State through the Transfer Portal. Worst Case Scenario, Florida State suffers an early round exit in this years College Baseball Tournament. Best case scenario, Bryce Hubbart breaks out as a Friday Night Starter and his arm gets Florida State to the Super Regionals.
Arizona:
- •2021 record: 45-16 (21-9 PAC-12)
- •Starters expected to return: 4 batters, 3 starting pitchers, 7 relief pitchers.
- •Key starters expected to leave: 1B Jacob Berry transfered to LSU, RF Ryan Holgate second round, LF Brandon Boissiere third round, CF Donta Williams fourth round, RP Gil Luna Jr. ninth round, 2B Kobe Kato thirteenth round, .
- •Key players returning: C Daniel Susac, SP Chase Silseth.
- Team Outlook:
- Arizona lost a lot of talent to the 2021 MLB Draft. At the same time, I'd make the argument that losing Jacob Berry to LSU in the transfer portal was the biggest loss for the Arizona Wildcats. Arizona will need catcher Daniel Susac and Friday Night Starter Chase Silseth who got drafted, but did not sign his MLB rookie contract to carry the Arizona Wildcats in 2022. If those two can lead Arizona, a Super Regional is possible. Arizona could return to Omaha for the 2022 College World Series, but that seems unlikely with Arizona losing five batters from last season. Honestly, a Super Regional seems like the ceiling for this Arizona Wildcats team.
Georgia:
- •2021 record: 31-25 (13-17 SEC)
- •Starters expected to return: 8 batters, 2 starting pitchers, 6 relief pitchers.
- •Key starters expected to leave: SP Ryan Webb fourth round, RP Ben Harris eighth round, RP Darren Pasqua, LF Riley King.
- •Key players returning: CF Ben Anderson, RF Connor Tate, 2B Josh McAllister, SS Cole Tate, DH/C Corey Collins, 1B Chaney Rodgers, C Fernando Gonzalez, 3B Garrett Blaylock, SP Jonathan Cannon, SP Luke Wagner.
- Team Outlook:
- Georgia has eight batters back plus two of their starting pitchers. Georgia's baseball team won't inflict the amount of damage that their football team did, but Georgia's baseball team may be this years dark horse in the SEC.
East Carolina:
- •2021 record: 44-17 (20-8 AAC)
- •Starters expected to return: 7 batters, 2 starting pitchers, 8 relief pitchers.
- •Key starters expected to leave: SP Gavin Williams 1st round pick drafted twenty first overall, 2B Connor Norby second round, 1B Thomas Francisco nineteenth round.
- •Key players returning: SP Carson Whisenhunt, RP C.J. Mayhue, 3B Zach Agnos, 1B Josh Moylan, SP Jake Kuchmaner, CF Bryson Worrell.
- Team Outlook:
- Despite losing Friday Night starter Gavin Williams their ace pitcher to Cleveland in the first round of the 2021 MLB Draft, this East Carolina squad has a lot of talent back. East Carolina only lost three players to the 2021 MLB Draft and has everyone else back. They also recruited well while adding some quality players through the transfer portal. The East Carolina Pirates have 2022 and 2023 MLB Draft prospects. This is the deepest baseball team that their program has ever had. East Carolina should win the American Athletic Conference. If everything goes well and this team stays healthy, a Super Regional appearance isn't out of the question.
North Carolina State:
- •2021 record: 37-19 (19-14 ACC)
- •Starters expected to return: 4 batters, 2 starting pitchers, 7 relief pitchers.
- •Key starters expected to leave: SS Jose Torres third round, RP Evan Justice fifth round, 1B Austin Murr sixth round, LF Jonny Butler fourteenth round, DH Terrell Tatum sixteenth round, C Luca Tresh seventeenth round, SP Reid Johnston nineteenth round.
- •Key players returning: RF Devonte Brown, 2B J.T. Jarrett, SP Sam Highfill, SP Matt Willadsen, RP Chris Villaman.
- Team Outlook:
- The Wolfpack had a 59.9 percent chance of winning the 2021 College World Series before getting disqualified after reports of a positive Covid-19 test. North Carolina State will have two of their three starters back with relief pitcher Chris Villaman moving to the starting rotation to compliment Sam Highfill and Matt Willadsen. North Carolina State only has four batters returning with two of those star batters being right fielder Devonte Brown and second baseman J.T. Jarrett. North Carolina State may get back to the Super Regionals. At the same time, getting back to the Semifinals of the College World Series is too unrealistic of a task after losing five batters to the 2022 MLB Draft.
Tennessee:
- •2021 record: 50-18 (20-10 SEC)
- •Starters expected to return: 5 batters, 2 starting pitchers, 7 relief pitchers.
- •Key starters expected to leave: SP Chad Dallas fourth round, SS Liam Spence fifth round, 2B Max Ferguson fifth round, C Connor Pavolony seventh round, 3B Jake Rucker seventh round, RP Jackson Leath twelfth round.
- •Key players returning: RF Jordan Beck, CF Drew Gilbert, RP Sean Hunley, RP Sean Hunley.
- Team Outlook:
- Tennessee has some good power hitters in the outfield to keep an eye on. After winning the SEC East, and making the 2021 College World Series, Tennessee should be a Tournament team. Don't expect the Volunteers to get to the Super Regionals wth four or their batters and Chad Dallas gone. Tennessee goes as far as Jordan Beck and Drew Gilbert carry them.
UC Irvine:
- •2021 record: 43-18 (32-8 Big West)
- •Starters expected to return: 8 batters, 3 starting pitchers, 8 relief pitchers.
- •Key starters expected to leave: C Dillon Dube twentieth round.
- •Key players returning: CF Luke Spillane.
- Team Outlook:
- California Irvine also more commonly known as UC Irvine or University of California Irvine has a lot of talent returning. The only player the UC Irvine Anteaters lost was catcher Dillon Dube. The rest of their team is back. Center fielder Luke Spillane along with a deadly bullpen are the keys to UC Irvine's success in 2022. If UC Irvine puts everything together this could be a dark horse team that takes off in the Regional games.
Oklahoma State:
- •2021 record: 36-19 (12-12 Big 12)
- •Starters expected to return: 8 batters, 2 starting pitchers, 7 relief pitchers.
- •Key starters expected to leave: 3B Christian Enarnacion-Strand fourth round, SP Justin Wrobleski eleventh round, RP Brett Standlee seventeenth round.
- •Key players returning: 1B Griffin Doersching, LF Jake Thompson, 2B Hueston Morrill, CF Caeden Trenkle, 3B Nolan McLean, SP Justin Campbell.
- Team Outlook:
- The Oklahoma State Cowboys have a good core of batters returning. They also got Justin Campbell back as their ace pitcher. Justin Campbell went 7-2 with a 2.57 ERA as a starting pitcher.
Nebraska:
- •2021 record: 34-14 (31-12 Big 12)
- •Starters expected to return: 8 batters, 2 starting pitchers, 6 relief pitchers.
- •Key starters expected to leave: RP/SS Spencer Schwellenbach second round, SP Cade Povich third round, RP Cam Wynne twentieth round.
- •Key players returning: SP Kyle Perry.
- Team Outlook:
- Ace pitcher Kyle Perry has been announced as the Friday Night Starter for Nebraska. The Nebraska Cornhuskers could be the Big 10 Champions in College Baseball if the rest of their squad follows Kyle Perry's lead.
Georgia Tech:
- •2021 record: 31-25 (21-15 ACC)
- •Starters expected to return: 7 batters, 2 starting pitchers, 8 relief pitchers.
- •Key starters expected to leave: SS Luke Waddell fifth round, 1B Justyn-Henry Malloy sixth round, SP Brant Hurter seventh round.
- •Key players returning: DH/1B/3B Drew Compton.
- Team Outlook:
- Georgia Tech will be led by sophomore Drew Compton who batted .294 hitting 13 homes runs and 37 RBI's as a true freshman. The 6-3 205 lb Drew Compton may end up being a 2023 first round pick if he continues to develop.
UCLA:
- •2021 record: 37-20 (18-12 Pac-12)
- •Starters expected to return: 7 batters, 0 starting pitchers, 6 relief pitchers.
- •Key starters expected to leave: SS Matt McLain 1st round drafted seventeenth overall, SP Nick Nastrini fourth round, C Noah Cardenas eighth round, SP Jesse Bergin eleventh round, SP Sean Mullen eleventh round, RP Zach Pettway sixteenth round.
- •Key players returning: RP Adrian Chaidez.
- Team Outlook:
- UCLA still has one of the best baseball programs in the PAC 12. They lost three shortstops as well as all three starting pitchers to the 2021 MLB Draft. Adrian Chaidez will probably transtion from the bullpen to the starting rotation with how thin UCLA is at pitcher. That's the biggest reason UCLA dropped from a top 20 team to a team that barely cracked the top 25.
Texas Tech:
- •2021 record: 39-17 (14-10 Big 12)
- •Starters expected to return: 5 batters, 1 starting pitcher, 7 relief pitchers.
- •Key starters expected to leave: SS Cal Conley fourth round, LF/3B/SS Dru Baker fourth round, C Braxton Fulford sixth round, RP Ryan Sublette seventh round, SP Hunter Dobbins eighth round, SP Patrick Montverde eighth round, CF Dylan Neuse seveneenth round.
- •Key players returning: 3B Jace Jung, SP Brandon Birdsell.
- Team Outlook:
- Texas Tech goes as far as top 5 pick in the 2022 MLB Draft Jace Jung takes them. Brandon Birdsell returns as a starting pitcher.
Old Dominion:
- •2021 record: 44-16 (22-10 Conference USA)
- •Starters expected to return: 8 batters, 2 starting pitchers, 7 relief pitchers.
- •Key starters expected to leave: RP Aaron Holliday thirteenth round, SP Ryne Moore eighteenth round.
- •Key players returning: LF Carter Trice, SS Tommy Bell.
- Team Outlook:
- Old Dominion has most of their team back. Left fielder Carter Trice and shortstop Tommy Bell will be the leaders on this years Old Dominion team which hit 105 home runs a year ago. That's a big reason why Old Dominion cracked the top 25.
Miami FL:
- •2021 record: 33-21 (20-15 ACC)
- •Starters expected to return: 6 batters, 3 starting pitchers, 7 relief pitchers.
- •Key starters expected to leave: DH/C Adrian Del Castillo second round, RP Jake Smith sixth round, C Anthony Vilar fifteenth round.
- •Key players returning: 3B Yohandes Morales, C Maxwell Romero Jr.
- Team Outlook:
- Miami rounds out the top 25. Yohandes Morales asserted himself as a top power hitter on the Miami Hurricanes as a true freshman. Maxwell Romero Jr. rotated in at catcher with Adrian Del Castillo and Anthony Vilar last year. Now Maxwell Romero Jr. will be the full-time starter at catcher for the Hurricanes in 2022.
