Tony Mario's 2025 NFL Mock Draft: Final Mock 7 Rounds

Round 2

Tony Mario follow @DraftUtopia Last Updated: April 24, 2025.

  1. Cleveland Browns: Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina

The Cleveland Browns should upgrade at left tackle, but I don't think they will opting to give Dawand Jones a shot at left tackle. North Carolina running back Omarion Hampton makes a lot of sense for Cleveland as he can be the bellcow for the Cleveland Browns right out of the gate if Nick Chubb does not return.

    Other Cleveland Browns Selections

  2. New York Giants: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State

New York gets a number two wide receiver to take pressure off of Malik Nabers. This also allows Darius Slayton, who recently got extended to move to slot receiver. Ohio State wide receiver Emeka Egbuka is a consensus first round prospect, so New York can get him at 34 as a number two wide receiver next to Nabers. This gives Russell Wilson a wide receiver trio of Malik Nabers, Emeka Egbuka, and Darius Slayton in the slot.

    Other New York Giants Selections

  3. Tennessee Titans: Tre Harris, WR, Ole Miss

Tennessee gets a weapon for Cam Ward to throw the football to. Ole Miss wide receiver Tre Harris would be the number two wide receiver next to Calvin Ridley giving Cam Ward two viable weapons to throw to at wide receiver.

    Other Tennessee Titans Selections

  4. Jacksonville Jaguars: Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky

Jacksonville gets a number two cornerback to put next to Tyson Campbell. Kentucky cornerback Maxwell Hairston would cover number two wide receivers while Free Agent Jourdan Lewis completes the Jacksonville Jaguars trio of cornerbacks.

    Other Jacksonville Jaguars Selections

  5. Las Vegas Raiders: Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon

Las Vegas gets a defensive tackle that most have a consensus first round grade on in the second round. Las Vegas would have Malcolm Koonce at 4-3 right end, Christian Wilkins at 4-3 defensive tackle, Derrick Harmon at 4-3 defensive tackle, and Maxx Crosby at 4-3 left end. Tyree Wilson, the Las Vegas Raiders 2023 first round pick would be a situational pass rusher. Adam Butler, who got re-signed at defensive tackle would be a situational defensive tackle.

    Other Las Vegas Raiders Selections

  6. New England Patriots: Walter Nolen, NT, Ole Miss

New England gets a 3-4 nose tackle. New England will have Christian Barmore at 3-4 right end, Walter Nolen at 3-4 nose tackle, and Milton Williams at 3-4 left end. Keion White would be a backup 3-4 defensive end with New England's coaches saying they do not want to move Keion White to 3-4 right end. If Barmore is still injured in 2025, Keion White will play at 3-4 right end where he played with Barmore injured.

    Other New England Patriots Selections

  7. Chicago Bears: Landon Jackson, LE, Arkansas

Chicago gets a 4-3 left end to pair with Montez Sweat. Arkansas 4-3 left end Landon Jackson would be a day 1 starter in Chicago.

    Other Chicago Bears Selections

  8. New Orleans Saints: Jack Sawyer, LE, Ohio State

New Orleans drafts a left end that will redshirt as a rookie due to Carl Granderson, Cameron Jordan, and Chase Young under contract. Jack Sawyer would end up competing with Chase Young for a starting 4-3 left end job if New Orleans moves on from Cameron Jordan in 2026.

    Other New Orleans Saints Selections

  9. Chicago Bears: Aireontae Ersery, LT, Minnesota

Chicago draft a left tackle here. It is true that Braxton Jones has exceeded expectations as a fifth round pick, but Minnesota left tackle Aireontae Ersery has more upside than Braxton Jones. Chicago's offensive line would have Aireontae Ersery at left tackle, Joe Thuney at left guard, Drew Dalman at center, Jonah Jackson at right guard, and Darnell Wright at right tackle. That offensive line would do wonders for quarterback Caleb Williams and rookie running back Ashton Jeanty who I mocked to the Chicago Bears at 10. This would be D'Andre Swift's best offensive line as the number two running back on Chicago since he was in Philadelphia two years ago.

    Other Chicago Bears Selections

  10. New York Jets: Elic Ayomanor, WR, Stanford

New York gets a another wide receiver on a rookie deal. Elic Ayomanor can run every route on the route tree, but he needs to work on holding onto the football and having less drops. Right now, the New York Jets three starting wide receivers are Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard, and Josh Reynolds. I do think Elic Ayomanor would push both Josh Reynolds and last years third round pick Malachi Corley for the slot receiver job. Even if Ayomanor didn't start in 2025, he would probably take over for Lazard in 2026 with Corley taking over ofr Josh Reynolds in 2026.

    Other New York Jets Selections

  11. San Francisco 49ers: Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame

San Francisco drafts a number one cornerback in the second round to replace Charvarius Ward. Benjamin Morrison would be the new number one cornerback with Renardo Green last years second round pick remaining the number two cornerback with Deommondre Lenior staying at nickel cornerback.

    Other San Francisco 49ers Selections

  12. Dallas Cowboys: Jonah Savaiinaea, RG, Arizona

Dallas drafts a right guard to replace Zack Maritn in the second round. The Dallas Cowboys offensive line would have Tyler Guyton at left tackle, Tyler Smith at left guard, Cooper Beebe at center, Jonah Savaiinaea at right guard, and Terence Steele at right tackle. Jonah Savaiinaea can play right tackle, but in Dallas he would be a right guard.

    Other Dallas Cowboys Selections

  13. Indianapolis Colts: Donovan Jackson, LG, Ohio State

Indianapolis drafts a left guard with Quenton Nelson about to turn 30 next year. Donovan Jackson would learn under Quenton Nelson in 2025. Indianapolis can save $18 million in cap space if they cut Nelson in 2026, and Nelson turns 30 next year. I don't think the Indianapolis Colts even entertain the idea of attempting this unless Donovan Jackson falls to their lap in the second round since most consider Quenton Nelson a top 5 left guard in the NFL.

    Other Indianapolis Colts Selections

  14. Atlanta Falcons: Azareye'h Thomas, CB, Florida State

Atlanta drafts a number two cornerback next to A.J. Terrell. Azareye'h Thomas is better than both Mike Hughes and Dee Alford. Azareye'h Thomas would be the number two corner moving Mike Hughes to nickel and Dee Alford to dime cornerback.

    Other Atlanta Falcons Selections

  15. Arizona Cardinals: Isaiah Bond, WR, Texas

Arizona gets a number two wide receiver next to Marvin Harrison Jr. Isaiah Bond has a higher ceiling than every wide receiver on this roster outside of Marvin Harrison Jr. Michael Wilson would move to slot receiver with Zay Jones, Greg Dortch, and Xavier Weaver being the other three wide receivers on Arizona in depth roles.

    Other Arizona Cardinals Selections

  16. Miami Dolphins: Xavier Watts, SS, Notre Dame

Miami drafts a safety. Ifeatu Melifonwu and Ashtyn Davis are decent stop gaps on one year contracts. I believe Xavier Watts would beat out Ifeatu Melifonwu for the strong safety job.

    Other Miami Dolphins Selections

  17. Cincinnati Bengals: Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss

Cincinnati has their number one cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt and their nickel cornerback Dax Hill in contract years entering the final year of their rookie deals. Dax Hill has a fifth year tender as Cincinnati's 2022 first round pick, while Cam Taylor-Britt does not. Drafting Ole Miss cornerback Trey Amos would give Cincinnati a trio of Trey Amos, D.J. Turner, and Dax Hill at cornerback in 2026 with Josh Newton remaining at dime cornerback until 2027 unless Cincinnati opts not to use a fifth year tender on Hill after the 2025 NFL Draft. Trey Amos is amazing in man coverage, but he does need to improve his zone and press coverage. Going to Cincinnati where he would be a backup his rookie season would allow Trey Amos to improve his zone and press coverage to where he could contribute as an impact player in 2026.

    Other Cincinnati Bengals Selections

  18. Seattle Seahawks: Darius Alexander, 3-4 LE, Toledo

Seattle would redshirt Darius Alexander as a rookie. He would start at 3-4 right end or 3-4 left end in 2026 depending on when Seattle drops Jarran Reed at 3-4 right end to save $4.5 million in cap space in 2026 or 3-4 left end Leonard Williams who would save $7,277,500 if Seattle opted to cut Williams in 2026. In this mock, I'm presuming Seattle would cut Williams to save cap space.

    Other Seattle Seahawks Selections

  19. Denver Broncos: TreVeyon Henderson, RB, Ohio State

Denver gets a running back that will push Jahleel McLaughlin and Audric Estime for the starting running back job. I believe TreVeyon Henderson wins that starting running back job.

    Other Denver Broncos Selections

  20. Seattle Seahawks: Jayden Higgins, WR, Iowa State

Seattle drafts a wide receiver to play with Cooper Kupp and Jaxson Smith-Njigba. Jayden Higgins would be a slot receiver on Seattle right away as a rookie.

    Other Seattle Seahawks Selections

  21. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Carson Schwesinger, 3-4 MLB, UCLA

Tampa Bay gets a second 3-4 middle linebacker that can start right away next to Lavonte David. Carson Schwesinger is a good addition for Tampa Bay.

    Other Tampa Bay Buccaneers Selections

  22. Green Bay Packers: Princely Umanmielen, LE, Ole Miss

Green Bay drafts a 4-3 left end that can start next to Rashan Gary right away. Princely Umanmielen would compete with Lukas Van Ness and Kingsley Enagbare for the starting 4-3 left end job next to Rashan Gary. I think it would come down to Lukas Van Ness and Princely Umanmielen with the loser moving to the backup 4-3 right end role while Kingsley Enabare stays as the backup 4-3 left end. Regardless of who wins that job, Green Bay would have four quality bodies at defensive end in 2025. Princely Umanmielen is more athletic than Lukas Van Ness despite the fact that Lukas Van Ness was a first round pick by the Green Bay Packers, so something tellsme Princely Umanmielen wins that job.

    Other Green Bay Packers Selections

  23. Los Angeles Chargers: Harold Fannin Jr., TE, Bowling Green

The Los Angeles Chargers get a tight end in the second round. Harold Fannin Jr. would be a day 1 starter on the Los Angeles Chargers.

    Other Los Angeles Chargers Selections

  24. Buffalo Bills: Darien Porter, CB, Iowa State

Buffalo drafts a cornerback to stash and develop. Darien Porter would be a bench player as the fifth cornerback on Buffalo's depth chart in 2025. He would be a regular starter next to Christian Benford as the number two cornerback by 2026.

    Other Buffalo Bills Selections

  25. Carolina Panthers: JT Tuimoloau, 3-4 ROLB, Ohio State

Carolina gets a pass rusher in the second round. JT Tuimoloau would start right away at 3-4 right outside linebacker if the Panthers draft Mason Graham at 8 like I predicted.

    Other Carolina Panthers Selections

  26. Houston Texans: Josh Connerly Jr., LT, Oregon

Houston gets a left tackle that can develop behind Cam Robinson for a year. I think Josh Connerly Jr. could end up beating out Cam Robinson for the left tackle job. This would give Houston a lineup with Josh Connerly Jr. at left tackle, Tytus Howard at left guard, Jared Patterson at center, Juice Scruggs at center, and Blake Fisher at right tackle. An offensive line that strong after taking wide receiver Luther Burden III to compliment Nico Collins in the first round is gonna do wonders for C.J. Stroud at quarterback as well as Joe Mixon at running back.

    Other Houston Texans Selections

  27. Baltimore Ravens: Tyleik Williams, 3-4 LE, Ohio State

Baltimore drafts a 3-4 left end. This gives Baltimore a defensive line with Nnamdi Madubuike formerly known as Justin Madubuike at 3-4 right end, Broderick Washington at 3-4 nose tackle, and Tyleik Williams at 3-4 left end. Travis Jones would play out his rookie contract as the backup nose tackle, but Baltimore would let him walk knowing they got stability with three quality starters on the defensive line with Washington's versatility to play both 3-4 nose tackle and 3-4 left end.

    Other Baltimore Ravens Selections

  28. Detroit Lions: Marcus Mbow, RG, Purdue

The Detroit Lions get a right guard who would sit out as a rookie before becoming a regular starter in 2026. Detroit's offensive line would have Taylor Decker at left tackle, Christian Mahogany at left guard, Frank Ragnow at center, Marcus Mbow at right guard, and Penei Sewell at right tackle starting in 2026 when left guard Graham Glasgow becomes a UFA in 2026.

    Other Detroit Lions Selections

  29. Washington Commanders: Demetrius Knight Jr., MLB, South Carolina

Washington gets a middle linebacker to learn under Bobby Wagner. Demetrius Knight Jr. would start at middle linebacker in 2026.

    Other Washington Commanders Selections

  30. Buffalo Bills: Jack Bech, WR, TCU

Buffalo has Khalil Shakir as Josh Allen's number one receiver, Josh Palmer as the number two receiver, and Keon Coleman as the slot receiver for the next three years. Buffalo can buyout Josh Palmer after this season, but would only save $610,000 in cap space if they cut Josh Palmer in 2026. Buffalo can start out Jack Bech in a number four wide receiver role. If Jack Bech gets an opportunity to play and does well, then you can potentially cut Josh Palmer to save cap space down the road.

    Other Buffalo Bills Selections

  31. Kansas City Chiefs: Elijah Arroyo, TE, Miami FL

Kansas City drafts a tight end that would be the third string tight end this year and then take over as the number two tight end behind Noah Gray when Travis Kelce retired. Elijah Arroyo would move ahead of Jared Wiley on the depth chart, but he would be the number three tight end behind Kelce and Gray until Kelce retired. He would be the number two tight end behind Gray.

    Other Kansas City Chiefs Selections

  32. Philadelphia Eagles: Kyle Kennard, 3-4 LOLB, South Carolina

Philadelphia moves Nolan Smith to 3-4 right outside linebacker where Josh Sweat played. Philadelphia uses their second round pick to get a starting pass rusher across from Nolan Smith.

    Other Philadelphia Eagles Selections
