Tony Mario's 2025 NFL Mock Draft: Final Mock 7 Rounds

Round 7

Tony Mario follow @DraftUtopia Last Updated: April 24, 2025.

  1. Dallas Cowboys: Tyler Batty, LE, BYU

Dallas drafts a 4-3 left end for depth in the seventh round. Tyler Batty is the best player available with this pick.

    Other Dallas Cowboys Selections

  2. Atlanta Falcons: Shaun Dolac, 3-4 MLB, Buffalo

The Atlanta Falcons get a 3-4 middle linebacker for depth. Shaun Dolac is the best player available on my board in the seventh round.

    Other Atlanta Falcons Selections

  3. New York Giants: Jaydon Blue, RB, Texas

New York gets a running back for depth. Jaydon Blue might spend the rookie season on the practice squad if he doesn't crack the New York Giants roster as a fourth string running back. Assuming Devin Singletary walks after this season, New York would have Tyrone Tracy Jr. as the starting running back, Eric Gray as the backup running back, and Jaydon Blue as the third string running back in 2026.

    Other New York Giants Selections

  4. New England Patriots: Bryson Nesbitt, TE, North Carolina

New England drafts a fourth string tight end behind Hunter Henry, Austin Hooper, and last years seventh round pick Jahiem Bell who may begin this season on the practice squad if he cannot beat out Jaheim Bell for the third string tight end job. Bryson Nesbitt is raw, but has a higher ceiling than any tight end on this depth chart. Bryson Nesibtt could end up starting in 2026 if he ends up winning the number two tight end job in camp over both Austin Hooper along with Jahiem Bell assuming Hunter Henry gets injured. New England can also buyout Hunter Henry to save $8.5 milion in cap space if New England wants to reload at tight end with Hunter Henry turning 31 in December. This is a very deep tight end draft and Bryson Nesbitt is probably the last tight end with potential to develop into an NFL starter.

    Other New England Patriots Selections

  5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Eli Cox, C, Kentucky

Jacksonville drafts a center for depth behind Robert Hainsey and Luke Fortner. Eli Cox does have potential to develop into a starter. Jacksonville can buyout Robert Hainsey to save $1,666,666 in 2026.

    Other Jacksonville Jaguars Selections

  6. Las Vegas Raiders: Seth Henigan, QB, Memphis

Las Vegas drafts a third string quarterback behind Geno Smith and Aidan O'Connell. There is a chance that Seth Henigan could start in 2028 in the final year of his rookie deal, but he's most likely a backup. I think Las Vegas like Cleveland will end up getting their quarterback of the future in the 2026 or 2027 NFL Draft.

    Other Las Vegas Raiders Selections

  7. Seattle Seahawks: Marcus Yarns, RB, Delaware

The Seattle Seahawks get a running back that can develop into a future starter if they don't want to extend Kenneth Walker III. Marcus Yarns makes a lot of sense in the seventh round.

    Other Seattle Seahawks Selections

  8. Miami Dolphins: Xavier Truss, RT, Georgia

Miami drafts a right tackle for depth. If Xavier Truss plays and impresses in relief of Austin Jackson Miami's other 2020 first round pick besides Tua Tagovailoa, then you can buyout Austin Jackson in 2026. Buying out Austin Jackson saves $2,009,768 in cap space in 2026.

    Other Miami Dolphins Selections

  9. Arizona Cardinals: Willie Lampkin, C, North Carolina

The Arizona Cardinals get their center of the future. Arizona can buyout starting center Hjalte Froholdt after this season and save $5,625,000 in cap space when 2026 rolls around.

    Other Arizona Cardinals Selections

  10. Kansas City Chiefs: Jalen Travis, RT, Iowa State

Kansas City gets a player with experience at both left tackle and right tackle as Jalen Travis will battle with Wanya Morris for the swing tackle job with the loserof that competition being the backup right tackle in 2025. Jalen Travis does have upside to develop into a starter at both left tackle and right tackle. Kansas City can save $8 million if they buyout left tackle Jaylon Moore in 2026 and Kansas City can save $20 million if they buyout Jawaan Taylor in 2026.

    Other Kansas City Chiefs Selections

  11. San Francisco 49ers: Jonah Monheim, C, USC

San Francisco gets a center for depth. I mocked Jared Wilson to San Francisco earlier in this mock and now San Francisco drafts a second center in Jonah Monheim who some consider the top center in this draft as his backup.

    Other San Francisco 49ers Selections

  12. Detroit Lions: Jackson Woodard, ROLB, UNLV

Detroit drafts a right outside linebacker. Both Alex Anzalone and Malcolm Rodriguez are UFA's at right outside linebacker in 2026. I think Woodard is a backup right outside linebacker in the NFL, but he may have to start next year if both Anzalone and Rodriguez end up leaving Detroit.

    Other Detroit Lions Selections

  13. Pittsburgh Steelers: Fentrell Cypruss, CB, Florida State

Pittsburgh drafts a cornerback for depth. Fentrell Cypress may be able to beat out James Pierre for the number five cornerback job as a rookie. He would only see the field in quarters packages on prevent plays to combat hail marys if Cypress won that job.

    Other Pittsburgh Steelers Selections

  14. Carolina Panthers: Kalel Mullings, FB, Michigan

Carolina drafts the top fullback in the 2025 NFL Draft. This is the only fullback expected to get drafted in the 2025 NFL Draft and Kalel Mullings would be a day 1 starter in sets where Carolina deploys a fullback.

    Other Carolina Panthers Selections

  15. Miami Dolphins: Efton Chism III, WR, Eastern Washington

Miami gets a slot receiver to replace Braxton Berrios. Efton Chism III is the only seventh round pick so far to be sloted into a day 1 starter spot.

    Other Miami Dolphins Selections

  16. Indianapolis Colts: DJ Lundy, MLB, Florida State

Indianapolis gets a backup middle linebacker to Zaire Franklin. If Zaire Franklin gets injured and DJ Lundy takes off as a rookie which is highly unlikely, then you can buyout Zaire Franklin and save $5,755,000 in 2026. You can also save $9,005,000 if you wait until 2027 to buyout Zaire Franklin.

    Other Indianapolis Colts Selections

  17. Chicago Bears: Shamari Simmons, CB, Arizona State

Chicago drafts a defensive back for depth. Shamari Simmons on Arizona State has the versatility to play cornerback, strong safety and free safety with his versatility.

    Other Chicago Bears Selections

  18. Seattle Seahawks: Cody Lindenberg, 3-4 MLB, Minnesota

Seattle gets a 3-4 middle linebacker for depth. Cody Lindenberg is a good addition in the seventh round.

    Other Seattle Seahawks Selections

  19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: DK Kaufman, SS, North Carolina State

Tampa Bay needs a strong safety next to Antoine Winfield Jr. This will be the third seventh round pick to end up being a day 1 starter.

    Other Tampa Bay Buccaneers Selections

  20. Houston Texans: Bihlal Kone, CB, Western Michigan

Houston gets cornerback for depth. Bihlal Kone makes a lot of sense here in the seventh round.

    Other Houston Texans Selections

  21. Green Bay Packers: Dean Clark, SS, Fresno State

Green Bay drafts a safety for depth. Green Bay has three good safeties in Xavier McKinney the starting strong safety, Javon Bullard their second round pick, and Evan Stewart their fourth round pick as Green Bay hit on two free safeties in the 2024 NFL Draft. Dean Clark would be the number four safety on this depth chart.

    Other Green Bay Packers Selections

  22. New England Patriots: Power Echols, 3-4 MLB, North Carolina

New England has Robert Spillane as one of their two 3-4 middle linebackers. I do think Power Echols has more upside to start at 3-4 middle linebacker than the other current starter in Christian Elliss. Power Echols will most likely be a backup to Christian Elliss as a rookie. If Echols does play and impress like some think he can, New England can buyout Christian Elliss to save $5,129,000 in 2026.

    Other New England Patriots Selections

  23. Dallas Cowboys: Shilo Sanders, SS, Colorado

Dallas drafts Shilo Sanders for depth at safety. This pick makes a lot of sense for Dallas considering Deion Sanders was a legend on the Dallas Cowboys.

    Other Dallas Cowboys Selections

  24. Chicago Bears: John Simon, TE, South Carolina

Chicago gets a third string tight end behind Cole Kmet and Gerald Everett. John Simon would start out as a third string tight end, but could be Cole Kmet's backup in 2026.

    Other Chicago Bears Selections

  25. Houston Texans: Kain Medrano, MLB, UCLA

Houston drafts a middle linebacker to replace Azeez Al-Shaair down the road. Kain Medrano kept Kaleb Johnson in check. Houston would save $2,402,000 if they bought out Azeez Al-Shaair in 2026. With the shenanigans he committed last year against Trevor Lawrence, I will not be surprised if this is Azeez Al-Shaair's final season in Houston.

    Other Houston Texans Selections

  26. Atlanta Falcons: Rayuan Lane III, SS, Navy

Atlanta drafts a strong safety to push Jordan Fuller for the strong safety job with Jessie Bates III at free safety. Navy strong safety Rayuan Lane III could end up starting at strong safety in 2026 if Atlanta does not bring back Fuller or upgrade at strong safety in next years draft.

    Other Atlanta Falcons Selections

  27. Baltimore Ravens: Andres Borregales, K, Miami FL

Baltimore grabs a kicker to push Justin Tucker. Andres Borregales is my top kicker in the 2025 NFL Draft.

    Other Baltimore Ravens Selections

  28. Detroit Lions: Jack Nelson, LT, Wisconsin

The Detroit Lions draft a left tackle for depth behind Taylor Decker. Taylor Decker is under contract until 2028 and Penei Sewell is under contract unti 2029. Jack Nelson is someone you can develop under Decker and if you are in a situation where you have to buyout Decker or Sewell to get under the cap, you could see Jack Nelson start at left tackle if Decker gets bought out in 2027. I think Jack Nelson as the backup left tackle and Dan Skipper as the backup right tackle makes more sense though.

    Other Detroit Lions Selections

  29. Washington Commanders: Glendon Miller, FS, Maryland

Washington drafts a safety for depth. Washington could end up drafting a backup strong safety or a backup free safety. Maryland has two safeties in Dante Trader Jr. at strong safety and Glendon Miller at free safety that could get drafted. With Dante Trader Jr. off the board, Glendon Miller gets picked here.

    Other Washington Commanders Selections

  30. New York Giants: Carter Runyon, TE, Towson

The New York Giants get a tight end for depth. Towson tight end Carter Runyon could develop into a number two tight end behind Theo Johnson.

    Other New York Giants Selections

  31. Dallas Cowboys: Marcus Wehr, RG, Montana State

Dallas gets a right guard replacement to Zack Martin. Marcus Wehr would be a day 1 starter in Dallas. This gives Dallas an offensive line with Tyler Guyton at left tackle, Tyler Smith at left guard, Cooper Beebe at center, Marcus Wehr at right guard, and Terence Steele at right tackle. This is the fourth seventh round pick to be a day 1 starter in my 2025 NFL Mock Draft.

    Other Dallas Cowboys Selections

  32. New Orleans Saints: Kaleo Bullungay, TE, UNLV

New Orleans has Foster Moreau, Juwan Johnson, Taysom Hill, and Dallin Holker at tight end. Foster Moreau and Taysom Hill are UFA's in 2026. New Orleans can also buyout Juwan Johnson who lost the number one tight end job to Foster Moreau to save $6,975,000 in 2026. Dallin Holker is an RFA in 2027. Kaleo Bullungay may spend his rookie season on the New Orleans Saints practice squad, but he would see a bigger role as a third string tight end or a backup tight end to Holker if New Orleans buys out Juwan Johnson.

    Other New Orleans Saints Selections

  33. San Francisco 49ers: Sam Pitz, TE, Minnesota-Duluth

The San Francisco 49ers use this seventh round comp pick on a tight end. George Kittle isn't reporting to camp until he gets extended.

    Other San Francisco 49ers Selections

  34. Green Bay Packers: Francisco Mauigoa, MLB, Miami FL

The Green Bay Packers get a middle linebacker for depth with this comp pick. Francisco Mauigoa makes a lot of sense here.

    Other Green Bay Packers Selections

  35. Kansas City Chiefs: Warren Brinson, DT, Georgia

The Kansas City Chiefs get a day 1 starter next to Chris Jones at 4-3 defensive tackle. This is the fifth seventh round pick that could end up being a day 1 starter.

    Other Kansas City Chiefs Selections

  36. San Francisco 49ers: Ryan Fitzgerald, K, Florida State

The San Francisco 49ers use this seventh round comp pick on competition for Jake Moody. Florida State kicker Ryan Fitzgerald was perfect on field goals and extra points in 2024.

    Other San Francisco 49ers Selections

  37. Miami Dolphins: David Gbenda, 3-4 MLB, Texas

The Miami Dolphins add a 3-4 middle linebacker for depth to replace Jerome Baker. David Gbenda makes sense here.

    Other Miami Dolphins Selections

  38. New Orleans Saints: Dwayne McGee, RB, Mercer

The New Orleans Saints get a running back for depth behind Alvin Kamara with this seventh round compensation pick. Dwayne McGee is a player to keep an eye on with four seasons where he dominated in terms of rushing yards in the FCS.

    Other New Orleans Saints Selections

  39. Cleveland Browns: Trey Wedig, RT, Indiana

The Cleveland Browns get a right tackle for depth with this seventh round comp pick. Trey Wedig could be a Jack Conklin replacement. He's got versatility to play center, right guard, and right tackle.

    Other Cleveland Browns Selections

  40. Los Angeles Chargers: Jaylin Lane, WR, Virginia Tech

The Los Angeles Chargers get a wide receiver for depth with this seventh round comp pick. Jaylin Lane makes a lot of sense here.

    Other Los Angeles Chargers Selections

  41. Kansas City Chiefs: D'Eryk Jackson, ROLB, Kentucky

The Kansas City Chiefs get a linebacker for depth here in the seventh round. D'Eryk Jackson is my Mr. Irrelevant.

    Other Kansas City Chiefs Selections
