The Washington Mystics went 19-21 in 2023. The Washington Mystics don't feel like they will be the same team without Elena Delle-Donne.


Even if Aliyah Edwards comes in and shows she's a viable replacement to Elena Delle-Donne there doesn't feel like a lot else is there. The Washington Mystics feel like a team that may need multiple years to complete their rebuild. I can honestly see the Mystics needing to get someone like Paige Buekers who was teammates with Aliyah Edwards at Connecticut or Juju Watkins in 2026 before this team starts contending again. It's always hard to overcome losing your best player and that is the situation with the Washington Mystics right now without Elena Delle-Donne.
