The Los Angeles Dodgers won the first three games of the 2024 World Series before the New York Yankees won game 4 of the 2024 World Series. The New York Yankees took a 5-0 lead heading into the fifth inning. Gerrit Cole couldn't get to first base in time. Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman were responsible for tying this game at 5-5.
The New York Yankees reclaimed the lead and went ahead 6-5. The Los Angeles Dodgers gained the lead thanks to Mookie Betts. Los Angeles won game 5 7-6. Los Angeles won the 2024 World Series 4-1 with Freddie Freeman geting the 2024 World Series MVP honors.
