Carson Fulmer May Make Chicago White Sox Starting Rotation In 2017

The Chicago White Sox drafted Carson Fulmer seventh overall in the 2015 MLB Draft. I think Fulmer will be ready at some point in 2017. Hopefully Chicago learned not to rush Fulmer after rushing 2014 third overall pick Carlos Rodon.
Fulmer went 2-1 with a 3.94 ERA for the Charlotte Knights in 4 starts in 2016. Fulmer is far from ready at this point. Right now I'm saying he's a summer call up in 2017 for Chicago.
Chris Sale and Jose Quintana have the top 2 spots in this Chicago White Sox starting rotation secured. James Shields and Carlos Rodon are the #3 and #4 starters in this rotation, but both Shields and Rodon did not meet expectations in 2016. I think Fulmer is good enough to take the #5 spot from Miguel Gonzalez right now, but Chicago cannot rush him since Fulmer is a guy with potential to be the #3 starter behind Sale and Quintana if they remain patient with him since Fulmer can ush Shields and Rodon to pitch better. Chicago needs that competition since they are the laughing stock in the AL Central.
Fulmer is currently the best prospect in Chicago's farm system ranking 1st among prospects in their system. Chicago has a lot of good prospects in their system with 4 of their top 30 prospects on Charlotte in AAA. Having their top prospect in AAA means Chicago should get better in 2017.
