2025 NFL Mock Draft: Final Mock 7 Rounds
Round 5
Chris Ransom follow @DraftUtopia Last Updated: April 24, 2025.
Minnesota Vikings: Justin Walley, CB, Minnesota
- The Minnesota Vikings get one of four players on my board with a fourth round grade still on my board. I know I mocked Dorian Strong in the third round, but I'm drafting another rookie cornerback to push both Isaiah Rodgers and Jeffrey Okudah even if he starts out as a backup. That cornerback is Minnesota Golden Gophers cornerback Justin Walley who gets to stay in the state of Minnesota.
- The 5-10 190 lb Justin Walley had 25 solo tackles, 17 assisted tackles, 42 total tackles, 10 deflections from pass breakups, 2 interceptions, 2 tackles for a loss, 1 sack, 1 quarterback hurry, and 1 defensive touchdown on a pick 6 in 2024. I gave Justin Walley an A+ grade in man coverage, an A grade in zone coverage, and an A- in press coverage.
- Justin Walley can play in a cover 0, cover 1, cover 2, cover 3, or cover 4 scheme. Justin Walley ran a 4.40 40-yard dash at the 2025 NFL Combine.
- Other Minnesota Vikings Selections
Carolina Panthers: Jack Bech, WR, TCU
- I'm not high on Jack Bech. I don't believe he will be anything more than a backup in the NFL, but it's time for the 2025 Reese's Senior Bowl MVP to come off the board.
- The 6-1 212 lb Jack Bech had 62 receptions, 1,034 receiving yards, and 6 receiving touchdowns. He was also the MVP of the Senior Bowl as stated earlier.
- Other Carolina Panthers Selections
Tennessee Titans: RJ Oben, 3-4 LOLB, Notre Dame
- Tennessee currently has last years 3-4 left outside linebacker Arden Key at 3-4 right outside linebacker and Dre'Mont Jones a 3-4 defensive end at 3-4 left outside linebacker. RJ Oben would probably start out as a backup, but this is one situation where RJ Oben could end up starting as a rookie.
- The 6-3 265 lb RJ Oben is the son of former left tackle Roman Oben and his mother is a former volleyball player. RJ Oben had 10 solo tackles, 9 assisted tackles, 19 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for a loss, 1 sack, and 1 forced fumble in 2024. RJ Oben's production at Notre Dame was underwhelming, but because of his family genetics he does have the upside to develop into an above average starter.
- Other Tennessee Titans Selections
Jacksonville Jaguars: Ahmed Hassanein, LE, Boise State
- Jacksonville drafts the top player on my board in the fifth round. Ahmed Hassanein would be a great backup to stash for depth behind Josh-Hines Allen and Travon Walker.
- The 6-2 273 lb Ahmed Hassanein had 28 solo tackles, 20 assisted tackles, 48 total tackles, 15.5 tackles for a loss, 9.5 sacks, and 5 quarterback hurries in 2024. Ahmed Hassanein is from Egypt and has one of the better draft stories in the 2025 NFL Draft.
- Ahmed Hassanein had a 4.77 40-yard dash and 27 reps on the bench press at the 2025 NFL Combine. He had 34 reps on the bench press at Boise State's Pro Day where he crushed it. I do believe Hassanein has the upside to become a starter, but he gets drafted by Jacksonville as a backup after showcasing the versatility to play both 4-3 right end and 4-3 left end.
- Other Jacksonville Jaguars Selections
Las Vegas Raiders: Isas Waxter, CB, Villanova
- Las Vegas gets a cornerback to push for playing time as a rookie. Villanova cornerback Isas Waxter is the top cornerback on my board and the final corneback with starter potential on my entire big board.
- The 6-1 209 lb Isas Waxter impressed me on tape. I gave Isas Waxter an A+ in man coverage, a C in zone coverage, a A in press coverage, an A in run stuffing, an A+ in hard hitting, and an A- in blitzing the quarterback. He can play in a cover 0, cover 1, or cover 2 scheme in the NFL.
- Other Las Vegas Raiders Selections
New England Patriots: Jamaree Caldwell, NT, Oregon
- New England gets a nose tackle to push Khyris Tonga for playing time. Jamaree Caldwell is the top 3-4 nose tackle on the board at this point in the fifth round.
- The 6-2 342 lb Jamaree Caldwell had 16 solo tackles, 13 assisted tackles, 29 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for a loss, 3 deflections from pass breakups, and 1 forced fumble in 2024. Jamaree Caldwell knocked Purdue center Gus Hartwig another player I mocked in the fifth round on his ass. Jamaree Caldwell has the potential to be an upgrade over Tonga long-term, but I'm not sure he beats him out for the starting nose tackle job as a rookie. He could come in on third downs to take pressure off of Tonga though making Jamree Caldwell an extremely valuable fifth round pick.
- Other New England Patriots Selections
New York Jets: Jah Joyner, LE, Minnesota
- The New York Jets get a 4-3 defensive end for depth. Jah Joyner is my final player with a fourth round grade still on the board in the fifth round.
- The 6-4 263 lb Jah Joyner had 12 solo tackles, 20 assisted tackles, 32 total tackles, 9 tackles for a loss, 7 deflections from pass breakups, 5.5 tackles for a loss, 4.5 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles in 2024. Jah Joyner has the versatility to play 4-3 right end, 4-3 defensive tackle, and 4-3 left end as he lined up everywhere on the Minnesota Golden Gophers defensive line.
- Other New York Jets Selections
Carolina Panthers: Lathan Ransom, SS, Ohio State
- Carolina drafts a strong safety for depth behind Tre'von Moehrig. Lathan Ransom makes a lot of sense for Carolina in the fifth round.
- The 6-0 206 lb Lathan Ransom had 46 solo tackles, 30 assisted tackles, 76 total tackles, 9 tackles for a loss, 3 forced fumbles, 2 deflections from pass breakups, 1 sack, 1 interception, and 1 quarterback hurries in 2024. I gave Lathan Ransom a C+ grade in man coverage, an A+ in zone coverage, a C in press coverage, an A in run stuffing, and an A+ in hard hitting.
- Other Carolina Panthers Selections
San Francisco 49ers: Cameron Williams, RT, Texas
- San Francisco owns the Saints fifth round pick, but lost their pick for tampering. Atlanta also lost a fifth round pick for tampering. San Francisco gets the final right tackle with starter potential in the fifth round to challenge Colton McKivitz for the right tackle job.
- The 6-6 317 lb Cameron Williams has the pass blocking, run blocking, run blocking strength, and run blocking footwork is there. His zone blocking, pass blocking strength, and pass blocking footwork needs improvement.
- Other San Francisco 49ers Selections
Chicago Bears: Tonka Hemingway, DT, South Carolina
- Chicago has Grady Jarrett and Gervon Dexter as their starting defensive tackles. Andrew Billings has been demoted to second string. Zacch Pickens the Chicago Bears 2023 third round pick has been demoted to third string on the Bears depth chart. Chris Williams a former Cleveland Brown is the replacement to Byron Cowart and he's not very good, so I'm giving Chicago a defensive tackle to compete with Williams and Pickens for the number four defensive tackle spot and final second string defensive tackle spot on teh Chicago Bears depth chart.
- The 6-2 284 lb Tonka Hemingway had 17 solo tackles, 8 assisted tackles, 25 total tackles, 6 quarterback hurries, 4 tackles for a loss, 4 sacks, 1 deflection from a pass breakup, and 1 forced fumble in 2024. Tonka Hemingway sacked Jalen Milroe. Hemingway is great at sacking the quarterback and stopping the run despite his size.
- Other Chicago Bears Selections
Dallas Cowboys: Ty Hamilton, DT, Ohio State
- Dallas has Osa Odighizuwa and Mazi Smith are the starting 4-3 defensive tackles. Solomon Thomas is the backup to Osa Odighizuwa. A backup defensive tackle behind Mazi Smith is needed at this point in the draft.
- The 6-3 299 lb Ty Hamilton had 17 solo tackles, 21 assisted tackles, 4.5 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks, and 1 quarterback hurry while taking the starting defensive tackle job from Michael Hall Jr. in 2023. Ty Hamilton had 14 solo tackles, 37 assisted tackles, 6 tackles for a loss, 3.5 sacks, 1 quarterback hurry, and 1 forced fumble in 2024.
- Ty Hamilton is a great run stuffer. Ty Hamilton is a good player that the Dallas Cowboys can stash for depth at defnesive tackle.
- Other Dallas Cowboys Selections
Miami Dolphins: Marcus Yarns, RB, Delaware
- Miami lost Raheem Mostert. Miami has De'Von Achane as their starting running back, Jaylen Wright as their backup running back, and Alexander Mattison as their third string running back. I believe Marcus Yarns is talented enough to beat out Alexander Mattison for the third string running back job.
- The 5-10 189 lb Marcus Yarns had 135 carries, 940 rushing yards, 15 rushing touchdowns, 24 receptions, 311 receiving yards, 3 receiving touchdowns, 159 touches, 1,251 total yards, and 18 total touchdowns at Delaware in 2023. Marcus Yarns had 133 carries, 844 rushing yards, 6 rushing touchdowns, 17 receptions, 297 receiving yards, 5 receiving touchdowns, 150 touches, 1,141 total yards, and 11 total touchdowns in 2024.
- Marcus Yarns ended up doing well enough to earn an invite to the 2025 Reese's Senior Bowl. He also ran a 4.45 at the 2025 NFL Combine. Marcus Yarns has the speed, pass catching, ball carrier vision, and pass blocking you want in an NFL running back. This makes Marcus Yarns one of the gems in the 2025 NFL Draft.
- Other Miami Dolphins Selections
Indianapolis Colts: Nash Hutmacher, DT, Nebraska
- Indianapolis drafts a fifth defensive tackle for depth. DeForest Buckener and Grover Stewart are the starters. Neville Gallimore and Adetomiwa Adebawore are the two backups for depth. The Indianapolis Colts draft a defensive tackle here because the best overall player on my board happens to be a defensive tackle.
- The 6-4 310 lb Nash Hutmacher had 15 solo tackles, 9 assisted tackles, 4 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks, 1 quarterback hurry, and 1 forced fumble in 2024. The production could be better, but I gave Hutmacher an 85/99 for potential meaning there's just enough upside for him to develop into a starter down the road despite how raw he is. Also he's not as raw as you would think since one of his two sacks came against Jonah Monheim the top center in the 2025 NFL Draft.
- Other Indianapolis Colts Selections
Arizona Cardinals: Andres Borregales, K, Miami FL
- Arizona currently has Chad Ryland as their starting kicker. I think Arizona can upgrade over Ryland if I'm being completely honest.
- The 5-11 170 lb Andres Borregales went 18/19 on field goals, 62/62 on extra points, made a 56 yard field goal which was a long, went 2/2 on 50 yard field goals. Andrew Borregales is my second best kicker in the 2025 NFL Draft and I have a fifth round grade on him.
- Other Arizona Cardinals Selections
Cincinnati Bengals: Davin Vann, DT, North Carolina State
- Cincinnati has four defensive tackles in B.J. Hill, Kris Jenkins Jr., T.J. Slayton a former Green Bay Packer is a backup 4-3 defensive tackle with McKinley Jackson a 2024 fourth round pick as the other backup defensive tackle. Cincinnati is simply bringing in another body to push both Slayton and Jackson.
- The 6-2 275 lb Davin Vann had 16 solo tackles, 25 assisted tackles, 41 total tackles, 14 tackles for a loss, 6.5 sacks, 2 quarterback hurries, and 2 deflections from pass breakups in 2024. Davin Vann can play 4-3 defensive tackle, 3-4 right end, or 3-4 left end with his versatility.
- Other Cincinnati Bengals Selections
New York Giants: Warren Brinson, 3-4 LE, Georgia
- The 6-5 315 lb Warren Brinson had 20 solo tackles, 6 assisted tackles, 26 total tackles, 6 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks, and 2 quarterback hurries in 2024. One of his two sacks was a double team, but that double team came against Massachusetts which is one of the worst FBS teams in the country.
- Other New York Giants Selections
Miami Dolphins: Craig Woodson, FS, California
- Miami drafts a free safety. Ashtyn Davis might be starting at free safety, but he's on a one year deal. I'm mocking another former California safety to compete with Ashtyn Davis for the free safety job. California safety Craig Woodson is my final safety with starter potential left in this 2025 NFL Draft.
- The 6-0 200 lb Craig Woodson had 45 solo tackles, 25 assisted tackles, 70 total tackles, 9 deflections from pass breakups, 2.5 tackles for a loss, 2 interceptions, and 1 quarterback hurry in 2024. I gave Craig Woodson an A in man coverage, an A+ in zone coverage, an A in press coverage, and an A- in run stuffing.
- Craig Woodson has the versatility to play both strong safety and free safety. Craig Woodson ran a 4.45 at the 2025 NFL Combine. Craig Woodson can play in a cover 0, cover 1, cover 2, cover 3, and cover 4 scheme.
- Other Miami Dolphins Selections
Pittsburgh Steelers: DJ Giddens, RB, Kansas State
- Pittsburgh drafts a running back to push both Kenneth Gainwell and Cordarrelle Patterson for the backup running back gig behind Jaylen Warren. Kansas State running back DJ Giddens makes a lot of sense at this point in the fifth round.
- The 6-0 212 lb DJ Giddens had 223 carries, 1,226 rushing yards, 10 rushing touchdowns, 29 receptions, 323 receiving yards, 3 receiving touchdowns, 252 touches, 1,549 total yards, and 13 total touchdowns taking over for Deuce Vaughn as the starting running back on Kansas State in 2023. DJ Giddens had 208 carries, 1,343 rushing yards, 7 rushing touchdowns, 21 receptions, 258 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown, 229 touches, 1,601 total yards, and 8 total touchdowns in 2024.
- DJ Giddens has the speed and pass catching. He's not as good of a pass blocker as Deuce Vaughn was despite being bigger and his ball carrier vision is very inconsistent as that is an area of improvement for Giddens. He ran a 4.43 at the 2025 NFL Combine.
- Other Pittsburgh Steelers Selections
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Demetrius Knight Jr., 3-4 MLB, South Carolina
- Tampa Bay gets a 3-4 middle linebacker for depth. One player that Tony Mario is much higher on than I am is Demetrius Knight Jr. who he has going in the second round.
- The 6-1 246 lb Demetrius Knight Jr. had 57 solo tackles, 25 assisted tackles, 82 total tackles, 8 tackles for a loss, 3 forced fumbles, 2 sacks, 1 deflection from a pass breakup, and 1 interception in 2024. I have a backup grade on Demetrius Knight Jr., but he was a guy Tony Mario had in the second round that was still available in my mock.
- Other Tampa Bay Buccaneers Selections
Los Angeles Chargers: Andrew Armstrong, WR, Arkansas
- The Los Angeles Chargers get a wide receiver for depth. Arkansas wide receiver Andrew Armstrong has potential to develop into a starter at slot receiver maybe become a number two target next to Ladd McConkey down the road, but he goes to a Los Angeles Chargers team where he's got to earn every minute of playing time.
- The 6-4 202 lb Andrew Armstrong had 78 receptions, 1,140 receiving yards, and 1 receiving touchdown in 2024. Andrew Armstrong ran 11/30 routes on the route tree.
- Other Los Angeles Chargers Selections
Green Bay Packers: Thor Griffith, DT, Louisville
- Green Bay drafts a defensive tackle for depth. Green Bay has Kenny Clark and Devonte Wyatt as their starting 4-3 defensive tackles. Karl Brooks and Colby Wooden from the 2023 NFL Draft are the backup defensive tackles. Drafting another defensive tackle to push the backups and Wyatt late in this draft feels like a necessity for Green Bay. Louisville defensive tackle Thor Griffith is a player I loved even at Harvard before he transferred to Louisville in 2024.
- The 6-2 320 lb Thor Griffith had 15 solo tackles, 6 assisted tackles, 21 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for a loss, 3 sacks, and 1 forced fumble in 2024. Thor Griffith is raw, but does have the potential to develop into a starter next to Kenny Clark down the road if he reaches his ceiling. He will also push Wyatt, Brooks, and Wooden which is good from a competition standpoint.
- Other Green Bay Packers Selections
San Francisco 49ers: Elijhah Badger, WR, Florida
- San Francisco has Brandon Aiyuk at flanker wide receiver, Ricky Pearsall as the secondary wide receiver, and Jauan Jennings as the slot receiver. Demarcus Robinson is the number four wide receiver and Jacob Cowing is the number five wide receiver. One more wide receiver for depth is needed.
- The 6-1 200 lb Elijhah Badger had 39 receptions, 806 receiving yards, and 4 receiving touchdowns in 2024. Elijhah Badger ran 14/30 routes on the route tree and posted a 4.43 40-yard dash at the 2025 NFL Combine. If he went back to school, there is a very good chance he could have been a day 2 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft with an outside possibility of cracking the first round of next years draft. San Francisco drafts and stashes Elijhah Badger here since he began his career at Arizona State before transferring to Florida which are the alma matters of both Aiyuk and Pearsall.
- Other San Francisco 49ers Selections
Philadelphia Eagles: Anthony Belton, LT, North Carolina State
- Philadelphia drafts a backup left tackle behind Jordan Mailata. Kendall Lamb cannot be allowed to start at left tackle if Mailata misses any time with an injury.
- The 6-5 345 lb Anthony Belton pass blocking, run blocking, and zone blocking you want from a left tackle. Anthony Belton's pass blocking strength, pass blocking footwork, run blocking strength, and run blocking footwork was inconsistent against Tennessee. He had moments of brilliance where he pancaked James Pearce Jr. He also had moments where James Pearce Jr. bullied him pretty easily. I like Belton and do believe he has potential to develop into a starter, but he needs to develop under a veteran to start out his NFL career. Philadelphia is a great place for Anthony Belton to develop.
- Other Philadelphia Eagles Selections
New York Jets: Jack Nelson, LT, Wisconsin
- New York gets a backup left tackle behind Olumuyiwa Fashanu. Wisconsin left tackle Jack Nelson does have enough potential to develop into a starter, but is better off starting out as a backup. This is a great situation for Jack Nelson to go to where he can be Olumuyiwa Fashanu's backup.
- The 6-7 314 lb Jack Nelson has the pass blocking, run blocking, and zone blocking you want from a left tackle. Jack Nelson's pass blocking strength, pass blocking footwork, run blocking strength, and run blocking footwork was inconsistent against Alabama. He's got ability to be great, but also needs to start out in place where he can refine his strength and footwork more.
- Other New York Jets Selections
Carolina Panthers: Efton Chism III, WR, Eastern Washington
- Carolina gets a wide receiver for depth. Efton Chism III is a wide receiver from Eastern Washington that can take the top off a defender.
- The 5-11 200 lb Efton Chism III had 120 receptions, 1,311 receiving yards, and 13 receiving touchdowns in 2024. Efton Chism III only knows 3/30 routes on the route tree with two of those routes being the route running backs run on screen passes and the streak route where you run deep straight towards the end zone. Learning under a veteran like Adam Thielen would do wonders for Efton Chism III.
- Other Carolina Panthers Selections
Philadelphia Eagles: Ali Jennings, WR, Virginia Tech
- The Philadelphia Eagles draft a wide receiver to stash and develop. Virginia Tech wide receiver Ali Jennings was my best wide receiver available.
- The 6-2 205 lb Ali Jennings had 15 receptions, 323 receiving yards, and 3 receiving touchdowns in 2024. Ali Jennings knows 4/30 routes on the route tree.
- Other Philadelphia Eagles Selections
Philaelphia Eagles: Trevor Etienne, RB, Georgia
- Philadelphia gets a second running back to compete with Will Shipley for the backup running back gig behind Saquon Barkley. Georgia running back Trevor Etienne is my top running back available.
- The 5-8 202 lb Trevor Etienne is the younger brother of Jacksonville Jaguars 2021 first round pick Travis Etienne who played at Clemson. Trevor Etienne played his first two years at Florida before transferring to Georgia in 2024.
- Trevor Etienne had 122 carries, 609 rushing yards, 9 rushing touchdowns, 32 receptions, 194 receiving yards, 0 receiving touchdowns, 154 touches, 803 total yards, and 9 total touchdowns in 2024. Trevor Etienne has the speed and pass catching you want. His ball carrier vision and pass blocking is not as good as Travis coming out of Clemson and that's the biggest difference between Trevor and Travis outside of the difference in height. I do think Etienne can contribute as a backup or third string running back depending on how he performs against Will Shipley since Trevor Etienne did score the game-winning touchdown in the SEC Championship.
- Other Philadelphia Eagles Selections
Houston Texans: Dominic Lovett, WR, Georgia
- Houston drafts another wide receiver for insurance here. Houston has Nico Collins as their flanker wide receiver. Tank Dell will be the secondary wide receiver when he comes back from his injury possibly around December of 2025, but Christian Kirk will fill that role until Dell returns. Houston also added Justin Watson and Braxton Berrios to compete with John Metchie III for the slot receiver job in training camp until Tank Dell returns assuming he does return from his injury. Xavier Hutchinson will be the number six wide receiver. The Houston Texans can draft another wide receiver to develop since Kirk, Berrios, and John Metchie III enter contract years. If Berrios or John Metchie III underperforms in training camp you can move on from one if you draft a rookie wide receiver assuming that rookie wide receiver surprises people. Especially if that rookie wide receiver does better than expected for Houston in training camp.
- Houston will have Nico Collins, Tank Dell, Justin Watson a former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver that signed a two year contract with Houston, and Xavier Hutchinson in 2026. Dell, Watson, and Hutchinson will all be in contract years next season. Houston should draft another wide receiver at some point, but it's got to be a guy who the organization can mold for two years before he has to see the field.
- The 5-10 185 lb Dominic Lovett had 59 receptions, 607 receiving yards, and 6 receiving touchdowns in 2024. Dominic Lovett ran 17/30 routes on the route tree. Dominic Lovett ran a 4.41 40-yard dash at the 2025 NFL Combine while also catching a one handed pass in double coverage. There were only two other wide receivers to catch a pass in double coverage in this draft. One of those receivers got a touchdown in double coverage while the other wide receiver caught a first down in double coverage. Lovett caught a pass with only one hand in double coverage and was the only wide receiver in this draft class to do that from the film I've seen so far.
- Other Houston Texans Selections
Tennessee Titans: Theo Wease Jr., WR, Missouri
- Tennessee drafts a third wide receiver. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine is a decent number four wide receiver that can be an effective slot receiver. I feel like Tennessee can upgrade over him which is why I mocked two wide receivers to Tennessee to pair with Cam Ward. The reason I am mocking a third wide receiver is one, this is the best player on my board, and two when you draft a quarterback number one overall, you get that guy as many weapons as possible when the value is there.
- The 6-3 200 lb Theo Wease Jr. was a former five star recruit at Oklahoma that transferred to Missouri. Theo Wease Jr. had 60 receptions, 884 receiving yards, and 4 receiving touchdowns in 2024. I saw Theo Wease Jr. run 12/30 routes on the route tree.
- Other Tennessee Titans Selections
Philadelphia Eagles: Gus Hartwig, C, Purdue
- Philadelphia drafts a center for depth behind Cam Jurgens. Purdue center Gus Hartwig could end up being one of the gems in the 2025 NFL Draft.
- The 6-5 305 lb Gus Hartwig has the pass blocking, run blocking, run blocking strength, and run blocking footwork. Gus Hartwig can be an asset on running plays. Gus Hartwig has to improve his pass blocking strength, pass blocking footwork, zone blocking, cut blocking, pull blocking, and pancake blocking. He has a potential grade of 90/99 for me which is my potential for a Pro Bowl player, but Hartwig is raw and needs to continue to refine his technique as he enters the NFL by getting ready for his journey to the next level. If there is one place where Gus Hartwig can succeed it is Philadelphia.
- Other Philadelphia Eagles Selections
Buffalo Bills: Josh Kelly, WR, Texas Tech
- The Buffalo Bills get this fifth round compensation pick at 169 for losing wide receiver Gabriel Davis. Gabriel Davis signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars during the 2024 NFL Free Agency Period.
- The 6-1 186 lb Josh Kelly had 89 receptions, 1,023 receiving yards, and 5 receiving touchdowns in 2024. Josh Kelly ran 13/30 routes on the route tree. He ran a 4.70 40-yard dash at the 2025 NFL Combine, but was the only wide receiver outside of Tory Horton and Elic Ayomanor to make Travis Hunter miss a tackle.
- Other Buffalo Bills Selections
Buffalo Bills: LeQuint Allen, RB, Syracuse
- The Dallas Cowboys got this fifth round compensation pick at 170 for losing defensive end Dorance Armstrong Jr, but ended up trading this pick to the Buffalo Bills to get cornerback Kaiir Elam, the Buffalo Bills 2022 first round pick. Dorance Armstrong Jr. signed with the Washington Commanders during the 2024 NFL Free Agency Period.
- The 6-0 207 lb LeQuint Allen had 228 carries, 1,021 rushing yards, 16 rushing touchdowns, 64 receptions, 521 receiving yards, 4 receiving touchdowns, 292 touches, 1,542 total yards, and 20 total touchdowns in 2024. LeQuint Allen took over as the starting running back for Sean Tucker at Syracuse.
- LeQuint Allen gives Buffalo a running back for depth with both James Cook and Ty Johnson in contract years. Buffalo can redshirt LeQuint Allen in 2025 before giving him some carries and a role in this offense in 2026. LeQuint Allen has the speed as a runner and pass catching that Sean Tucker had, but his ball carrier vision and pass blocking is not on par with Sean Tucker.
- Other Buffalo Bills Selections
New England Patriots: Jordan Watkins, WR, Ole Miss
- The Dallas Cowboys got this fifth round compensation pick at 171 for losing center Tyler Biadasz, but ended up trading this pick to the New England Patriots for their third string quarterback Joe Milton III. Tyler Biadasz signed with the Washington Commanders during the 2024 NFL Free Agency Period.
- The 5-11 196 lb Jordan Watkins had 49 receptions, 906 receiving yards, and 9 receiving touchdowns in 2024. Jordan Watkins ran 19/30 routes on the route tree, but he ran a 4.37 40-yard dash at the 2025 NFL Combine. Jordan Watkins reminds me a little bit of Tyreek Hill when it comes to his ability to take the top off by stretching the field. Elijah Moore had speed, but he didn't have the route tree that Watkins had coming out of Ole Miss despite some people mocking him in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft calling him a steal in the second round. I also believe Jordan Watkins is faster than Elijah Moore was coming out of Ole Miss.
- Other New England Patriots Selections
Seattle Seahawks: Jacolby George, WR, Miami FL
- The Seattle Seahawks get this fifth round compensation pick at 172 for losing 3-4 middle linebacker Jordyn Brooks. Jordyn Brooks signed with the Miami Dolphins during the 2024 NFL Free Agency Period.
- The 5-11 172 lb Jacolby George had 57 receptions, 864 receiving yards, and 8 receiving touchdowns in 2023. Jacolby George had 53 receptions, 752 receiving yards, and 8 receiving touchdowns in 2024.
- Jacolby George ran 12/30 routes on the route tree. You would have liked to see him do a better job breaking on some of his routes.
- Other Seattle Seahawks Selections
Buffalo Bills: Ajani Cornelius, RT, Oregon
- The Buffalo Bills get this fifth round compensation pick at 173 for losing 4-3 defensive end Leonard Floyd. Leonard Floyd signed with the San Francisco 49ers during the 2024 NFL Free Agency Period.
- The 6-5 310 lb Ajani Cornelius has the run blocking, run blocking strength, and run blocking footwork. He needs to develop more as a pass blocker and zone blocker. Has enough potential to develop into a borderline starter, but is much better suited to be a backup right tackle. Buffalo needs a backup right tackle behind Spencer Brown the player on the Buffalo Bills that just got extended.
- Other Buffalo Bills Selections
Dallas Cowboys: Darius Alexander, DT, Toledo
- The Dallas Cowboys got this fifth round compensation pick at 174 for losing left tackle Tyron Smith. Tyron Smith signed with the New York Jets during the 2024 NFL Free Agency Period.
- The 6-4 304 lb Darius Alexander only had 17 solo tackles, 23 assisted tackles, 40 total tackles, 7.5 tackles for a loss, 4 deflections from pass breakups, 3.5 sacks, and 2 quarterback hurries in 2024. Darius Alexander had a good week at the 2025 Reese's Senior Bowl and ran a 4.95 40-yard dash at the 2025 NFL Combine. I got a backup grade on Darius Alexander, but both Tony Mario and the group mock I host on Facebook have Darius Alexander going in the second round.
- Other Dallas Cowboys Selections
Seattle Seahawks: Jake Majors, C, Texas
- The Seattle Seahawks get this fifth round compensation pick at 175 for losing middle linebacker Bobby Wagner. Bobby Wagner signed with the Washington Commanders during the 2024 NFL Free Agency Period.
- The 6-3 306 lb Jake Majors has the pass blocking and run blocking. Pass blocking strength and run blocking strength shows up when Majors keeps his back straight, gets his hands on a defender, keeps his hands on the defender for more than 2 seconds, has his feet and toes pointed straight at the guy he's blocking. His technique isn't consistent and his footwork needs fine tuning in terms of his pass blocking and his run blocking.
- Other Seattle Seahawks Selections
Baltimore Ravens: Connor Colby, RG, Iowa
- The Baltimore Ravens get this fifth round compensation pick at 176 for losing left guard John Simpson. John Simpson signed with the New York Jets during the 2024 NFL Free Agency Period.
- The 6-6 309 lb Connor Colby gets drafted by Baltimore as a backup right guard. He has the upside to develop into a starter if he works his tail off once he gets to the NFL. Colby had no answer for Ohio State's defensive tackles. This tells me Colby is probably gonna be a backup right guard even if NFL teams believe they can develop him into a starter.
- Other Baltimore Ravens Selections
Other 2025 NFL Mock Drafts
