The Cleveland Browns get a left tackle to protect their blindside. Dawand Jones needs to stay at right tackle. Also, Ohio State left tackle Josh Simmons is the best player on the board.
The 6-5 317 lb Josh Simmons has the pass blocking, pass blocking footwork, run blocking, run blocking strength, run blocking footwork, and zone blocking you want from a blindside. His pass blocking strength still needs to improve, but he's gone from a temporary blocker that held blocks from 1-3 seconds in 2024 to a lingering blocker that can maintain blocks for 3-5 seconds. He's not a guy whose a constant blocker that can maintain blocks for 5-7 seconds like Will Campbell, Kelvin Banks Jr., or Josh Connerly Jr., but he's the best left tackle still on the board.
Cleveland would have an offensive line with Josh Simmons at left tackle, Joel Bitonio at left guard, Ethan Pocic at center, Wyatt Teller at right tackle, and Dawand Jones at right tackle.
New York gets the only player in my top 32 still on the board. I got Donovan Jackson at 31 on my big board and his Ohio State teammate Josh Simmons at 32. Cleveland took Josh Simmons as a left tackle to kick off the second round, so the New York Giants follow suit and get a new starting left guard.
The 6-3 310 lb Clay Webb has the pass blocking, pass blocking strength, pass blocking footwork, run blocking, run blocking strength, run blocking footwork, zone blocking, pancake blocking, pull blocking, and cut blocking you want from a left guard. Clay Webb made defenders on South Carolina look silly despite starting at left guard for Jacksonville State.
The New York Giants offense would have Russell Wilson at quarterback with Jameis Winston as a backup quarterback. The offensive line would feature Andrew Thomas at left tackle, Clay Webb at left guard, John Michael Schmitz at center, Jon Runyan Jr. at right guard, and Jermaine Elumenor at right tackle. The wide receivers would be Malik Nabers, Darius Slayton as a secondary wide receiver, and Wan'Dale Robinson as the slot receiver. Jalin Hyatt would be the number four target. The New York Giants would have more stability offensively, but would it be enough to win some games and steal some contests. That is really the biggest question with the New York Giants.
Clay Webb began the year seventeenth on my big board. He ended this draft cycle at 30 on my big board.
Previous Pick: Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina
Tennessee gets a weapon for Cam Ward to throw the football to. Ole Miss wide receiver Tre Harris is the top player on my board in the second round.
Tre Harris only runs 10/30 routes on the route tree, but he's the best wide receiver at high pointing the football in the 2025 NFL Draft. His ability to high point the football is superb and his game speed is incredible. He got separation quite easily against Texas A&M.
The 6-2 205 lb Tre Harris had 54 receptions, 985 receiving yards, and 8 receiving touchdowns in 2023. Tre Harris had 60 receptions, 1,030 receiving yards, and 7 receiving touchdowns in 2024. I watched two games of Tre Harris against LSU and Texas A&M heading in 2024. I watched Tre Harris against Georgia and LSU in 2024.
Calvin Ridley would remain the number one flanker wide receiver. Tyler Lockett would be the secondary wide receiver. Tre Harris becomes the slot receiver in this scenario.
Jacksonville drafts a cornerback. Louisville cornerback Quincy Riley could be a great boundary cornerback next to Tyson Campbell.
The 5-10 192 lb Quincy Riley had 24 solo tackles, 3 assisted tackles, 27 total tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 5 deflections from pass breakups, 3 interceptions, 1 sack, and 1 defensive touchdown in 2022. Quincy Riley had 29 solo tackles, 20 assisted tackles, 49 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for a loss, 14 deflections from pass breakups, and 3 interceptions in 2023. Quincy Riley had 21 solo tackles, 12 assisted tackles, 33 total tackles, 13 deflections from pass breakups, 3 tackles for a loss, 2 interceptions, and 1 forced fumble in 2024.
I gave Quincy Riley an A+ grade in man coverage, a B grade in zone coverage, and a A grade in press coverage despite being projected to run a 4.50 40-yard dash. Riley ended up running a 4.48 40-yard dash at the 2025 NFL Combine.
There were moments where Quincy Riley played both field and boundary cornerback next to Jason Brownlee Jr. at Louisville last year really wowing me on tape against Notre Dame. He was Louisville's field cornerback in 2024 and dominated against everyone except Miami FL wide receiver Xavier Restrepo.
Quincy Riley can play in a cover 0, cover 1, cover 2, or cover 3 coverage shell. The only coverage shell he may need to improve in is a cover 4 shell. Quincy Riley is an ideal number one field cornerback if you believe you can improve his zone coverage.
Las Vegas gets a wide receiver. Right now the Las Vegas Raiders have a good secondary wide receiver in Jakobi Meyers, but that is it because he's more of a complimentary wide receiver, than a number one flanker target. Tre Tucker is nothing more than a number four wide receiver for depth and he's the number two wide receiver. The slot receiver is an undrafted Free Agent and the other three backups playing the number four, five, and six wide receiver roles are all backups. This is the worst wide receiver room in the NFL. Geno Smith goes from having one of the best receiver rooms to having one of the worst receiver rooms with tight ends Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer as the lone bright spots as far as playmakers on this offense go.
The 5-9 200 lb Xavier Restrepo had 85 receptiosn, 1,092 receiving yards, and 6 receiving touchdowns in 2023. Xavier Restrepo had 69 receptions, 1,127 receiving yards, and 11 receiving touchdowns after Cam Ward transferred to Miami FL in 2024.
Xavier Restrpo ran 23/30 routes on the route tree. He ran a 4.83 40 yard dash at the Miami Hurricanes Pro Day. He has a good route tree, but not a great route tree like Garrett Wilson who ran 24/30 routes coming out of Ohio State. He also struggles to break his routes when you use cornerbacks to play press coverage on him. Georgia Tech was the only team that played press coverage on Restrepo all season in 2024.
Xavier Restrepo would push Jakobi Meyers to be the flanker wide receiver with the other option being a secondary wide receiver. This allows Tre Tucker to move to slot receiver.
New England gets a pass rusher to compliment Harold Landry. Boston College 3-4 outside linebacker Donovan Ezeiruaku is a first round prospect on some boards, and getting another sack artist to pair with Harold Landry at 38 fixes the lone hole on the defense giving New England one of the leagues best defenses.
The 6-2 248 lb Donovan Ezeiruaku had 37 solo tackles, 43 assisted tackles, 80 total tackles, 20.5 tackles for a loss, 16.5 sacks, 15 quarterback hurries, 3 forced fumbles, and 1 deflection from a pass breakup in 2024. Donovan Ezeiruaku has the pop, rip moves, and swim moves. He's got good strength and power.
New England's defense has Christian Barmore at 3-4 right end, Khyris Tonga at 3-4 nose tackle, Milton Williams at 3-4 left end, Keion White as a backup 3-4 defensive end, Harold Landry as a 3-4 right outside linebacker, Robert Spillane at 3-4 middle linebacker, Jahlani Tavai at 3-4 middle linebacker, Donovan Ezeiruaku at 3-4 left outside linebacker, Christian Gonzalez at field cornerback, Carlton Davis at boundary cornerback, Marcus Jones at nickel cornerback, Kyle Dugger at strong safety, and Jabrill Peppers at free safety.
Chicago gets a 4-3 left end to pair with Montez Sweat. Jack Sawyer is the best 4-3 left end still on the board.
The 6-5 260 lb Jack Sawyer had 24 solo tackles, 24 assisted tackles, 48 total tackles, 10 tackles for a loss, 6.5 sacks, 3 quarterback hurries, 2 deflections from pass breakups, and 2 forced fumbles in 2023. Jack Sawyer had 25 solo tackles, 34 assisted tackles, 59 total tackles, 9 sacks, 9 tackles for a loss, 8 quarterback hurries, 7 deflections from pass breakups, 3 forced fumbles, and 1 interception in 2024. Jack Sawyer is great at rushing the quarterback and stopping the run. He improved his ability to swat passes and drop back into coverage in 2024.
The Chicago Bears would have Montez Sweat at 4-3 right end, Grady Jarrett at 4-3 defensive tackle, Gervon Dexter at 4-3 defensive tackle, and Jack Sawyer at 4-3 left end. This defensive line would give the Chicago Bears the necessary pieces on the defensive line to be contenders moving forward in 2025.
New Orleans gets the final player in my top 32 at pick 40. Donovan Jackson would be an upgrade on this offensive line.
The 6-4 315 lb Donovan Jackson has the pass blocking, pass blocking strength, pass blocking footwork, run blocking, run blocking strength, run blocking footwork, zone blocking, pancake blocking, pull blocking, and cut blocking. Donovan Jackson was a player I had a first round grade on. New Orleans would have Taliese Fuaga at left tackle, Donovan Jackson at left guard, Erik McCoy at center, Cesar Ruiz at right guard, and Trevor Penning at right tackle.
Chicago drafts a free safety that can be a day 1 starter. Sebastian Castro was my best available player here.
The 5-11 202 lb Sebastian Castro had 47 solo tackles, 20 assisted tackles, 67 total tackles, 11 deflections from pass breakups, 8 tackles for a loss, 3 interceptions, 1 sack, and 1 forced fumble in 2023. Sebastian Castro had 39 solo tackles, 18 assisted tackles, 57 total tackles, 3 tackles for a loss, 2 forced fumbles, 1 interception, 1 deflection from a pass breakup, and 1 quarterback hurry in 2024.
I gave Sebastian Castro an A grade in man coverage, an A+ in zone coverage, an A- in press coverage, an A grade in run stuffing, and an A grade in hard hitting. Sebastian Castro can play in a cover 0, cover 1, cover 2, cover 3, or cover 4 coverage shell and having a star safety with this skill set would be invaluable for the Chicago Bears.
New York gets another weapon for Justin Fields. New York already has Garrett Wilson and Allan Lazard, but one more guy in the slot could be added.
Oregon wide receiver Tez Johnson was the number two wide receiver to Bo Nix with Troy Franklin being the number one wide receiver at Oregon last year. Both Tez Johnson and Evan Stewart have ability to be number one options, but Detroit can use Tez Johnson as a slot receiver since they have Amon-Ra St. Brown as their number one flanker wide receiver and Jameson Williams as their slot receiver.
The 5-9 159 lb Tez Johnson had 86 receptions, 1,182 receiving yards, and 10 receiving touchdowns in 2023. Tez Johnson had 83 receptions, 898 receiving yards, and 10 receiving touchdowns showing he could be a star without Bo Nix in 2024. Tez Johnson had fantastic production with Bo Nix, but he only ran 4/30 routes on the route tree. Tez Johnson improved massively in terms of production, but I'm not sure he improved his route tree at all.
San Francisco drafts a 4-3 defensive tackle that can be a day 1 starter. Tyliek Williams compliments Nick Bosa and James Pearce Jr. the defensive end that I mocked to San Francisco in the first round quite well.
The 6-3 334 lb Tyleik Williams had 20 solo tackles, 33 assisted tackles, 53 total tackles, 10 tackles for a loss, 5 deflections for pass breakups, 3 sacks, 1 quarterback hurry, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 defensive touchdown in 2023. Tyleik Williams had 16 solo tackles, 30 assisted tackles, 46 total tackles, 8 tackles for a loss, 2.5 sacks, 1 deflection from a pass breakup, and 1 quarterback hurry in 2024.
Tyleik Williams has the pass rushing, run stuffing, block shedding, and ability to swat passes down making him an asset in coverage. Tyleik Williams won a one-on-one against Notre Dame left tackle Joe Alt last year.
Tyleik Williams is the fourth defensive tackle in this draft with the versatility to play 4-3 defensive tackle, 3-4 right end, 3-4 nose tackle, and 3-4 left end. The other three interior defensive linemen that fit this bill are Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham, Ole Miss defensive tackle Walter Nolen, and Kentucky defensive tackle Deone Walker.
I posted a film cut of Ohio State DL Tyleik Williams VS Notre Dame. You can watch that film cut in the clip below.
Dallas drafts a starting running back. Quinshon Judkins fills a need for the Dallas Cowboys at 44. Quinshon Judkins will have to beat out Javonte Williams, Miles Sanders, and Deuce Vaughn for this job, but I think Judkins is talented enough to do that.
The 5-11 221 lb Quinshon Judkins had 274 carries, 1,587 rushing yards, 16 rushing touchdowns, 15 receptions, 132 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown, 289 touches, 1,719 total yards, and 17 total touchdowns as a true freshman at Ole Miss in 2022. Quinshon Judkins had 271 carries, 1,158 rushing yards, 15 rushing touchdowns, 22 receptions, 149 receiving yards, 2 receiving touchdowns, 293 touches, 1,307 total yards, and 17 total touchdowns as a sophomore at Ole Miss in 2023. Quinshon Judkins transferred to Ohio State for his junior season in 2024. Quinshon Judkins had 194 carries, 1,060 rushing yards, 14 rushing touchdowns, 22 receptions 161 receiving yards, 2 receiving touchdowns, 216 touches, 1,221 total yards, and 16 total touchdowns at Ohio State in 2024.
Indianapolis needs a staring tight end. Drew Ogltree is currently the starting tight end on the Indianapolis Colts depth chart. Only one second round tight end is available for the Indianapolis Colts and that tight end is Bowling Green tight end Harold Fannin Jr.
The 6-3 238 lb Harold Fannin Jr. had 117 receptions, 1,555 receiving yards, and 10 receiving touchdowns in 2024. Harold Fannin Jr. also showed the ability to run all 30 routes on the route tree.
The Indianapolis Colts offense has Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones competing for the starting quarterback job, but I would think Anthony Richardson wins that competition. Indianapolis has Kelvin Banks Jr. at left tackle, Quinton Nelson at left guard, Tanor Bortolini at center, Matt Goncalves at right guard, and Braden Smith at right tackle. Bernard Raimann would be the backup left tackle and Blake Freeland would be the backup right tackle. Indianapolis will have Michael Pittman Jr. at flanker wide receiver, Josh Downs as their secondary wide receiver, Alec Pierece at slot receiver, Adonai Mitchell as the nuber four wide receiver, Ashton Dulin as their number five wide receiver, Laquon Treadwell as their number six wide receiver, and Anthony Gould as their number seven wide receiver. Harold Fannin Jr. is your number one tight end. Jonathan Taylor is your number one running back. Indianapolis has all of their offensive starters.
Indianapolis has Kwity Paye at 4-3 right end, DeForest Buckner at 4-3 defensive tackle, Grover Stewart at 4-3 defensive tackle, Samson Ekubam at 4-3 left end, Laiatu Latu as the backup 4-3 right end, Adetomiwa Adebawre is the backup 4-3 defensive tackle to Grover Stewart, Neville Gallimore is the backup 4-3 defensive tackle to DeForest Buckner, and Tyquan Lewis is the backup 4-3 left end. Jaylon Carlies is the starting right outside linebacker in the Colts 4-2-5 nickel defense and Zaire Franklin is the middle linebacker in the Colts 4-2-5 defense. Indianapolis has Charvarius Ward at field cornerback, JuJu Brents back from an injury at boundary cornerback, Kenny Moore II at nickel cornerback, Jaylon Jones is the dime cornerback, and Corey Ballentine is the quarter cornerback. Indianapolis has Nick Cross at strong safety and CamryN Bynum at free safety. Daniel Scott is the backup strong safety and Rodney Thomas II is the backup free safety. Indianapolis made some quality additions in Free Agency.
Atlanta drafts a strong safety to compliment their free safety Jessie Bates III. Oklahoma strong safety Billy Bowman makes a lot of sense.
The 5-9 198 lb Billy Bowman Jr. had 37 solo tackles, 26 assisted tackles, 63 total tackles, 6 interceptions, 4 deflections from pass breakups, 3 tackles for a loss, and 3 defensive touchdowns on pick sixes in 2023. Billy Bowman had 34 solo tackles, 20 assisted tackles, 54 total tackles, 3 deflections from pass breakups, 2.5 tackles for a loss, 2 interceptions, 1 quarterbck hurry, and 1 touchdown in 2024. I gave Billy Bowman an A- grade in man coverage, an A- in zone coverage, an A- in press coverage, an A- grade in run stuffing, and an A- grade in hard hitting. Billy Bowman can play in a cover 0, cover 1, cover 2, cover 3, or cover 4 coverage shell and having a star safety with this skill set would be invaluable for the Atlanta Falcons.
Arizona gets a second pass rusher to pair with Josh Sweat. Marshall pass rusher Mike Green is a guy that has generated some first round buzz, so he ends up on Arizona here even though I view Mike Green as a backup.
The 6-3 251 lb Mike Green had 38 solo tackles, 46 assisted tackles, 84 total tackles, 22.5 tackles for a loss, 17 sacks, 15 quarterback hurries, 3 forced fumbles, and 2 deflections from pass breakups in 2024. Mike Green also did a good job in practice at the 2025 Reese's Senior Bowl.
Miami doubles up at cornerback in case they trade Jalen Ramsey. If they keep Ramsey the cornerback they draft can move to nickel cornerback. East Carolina cornerback Shavon Revel Jr. could be an option in the second round.
The 6-2 194 lb Shavon Revel can play field cornerback or boundary cornerback. Shavon Revel had 29 solo tackles, 25 assisted tackles, 54 total tackles, 12 deflections from pass breakups, 3.5 tackles for a loss, 1 interception, 1 sack, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 defensive touchdown in 2023. Shavon Revel missed the 2024 season due to an injury.
I gave Shavon Revel an A in man coverage, a B in zone coverage, a B+ grade in press coverage, and a B grade in run stuffing. Shavon Revel is projected to run a 4.44 40-yard dash and can play in a cover 0, cover 1, or cover 2 scheme in man coverage. Shavon Revel is faster than Quincy Riley and Denzel Burke despite not being as complete in coverage.
Miami would have Jalen Ramsey at field cornerback, Shavon Revel Jr. at boundary cornerback, Kader Kohou at nickel cornerback, Cam Smith at dime cornerback, Xavier Watts at strong safety, and Ashtyn Davis at free safety. The secondary looks good, but a nose tackle is still needed.
Cincinnati has Trey Hendrickson at 4-3 right end. Joseph Ossai and Myles Murphy, the Cincinnati Bengals 2023 first round pick are competing for the starting 4-3 left end job. Cincinnati drafts JT Tuimoloau for depth behind Trey Hendrickson in the second round.
The 6-4 265 lb JT Tuimoloau had 12 solo tackles, 26 assisted tackles, 38 total tackles, 7 tackles for a loss, 6 quarterback hurries, 5 sacks, and 2 deflections from pass breakups in 2023. JT Tuimoloau had 35 solo tackles, 26 assisted tackles, 61 total tackles, 21.5 tackles for aloss, 12.5 sacks, 5 quarterback hurries, 3 deflections from pass breakups, and 2 forced fumbles in 2024. JT Tuimoloau can pass rush, stop the run, or swat passes by using his arms to bat passes in coverage.
Cincinnati will have a sack artist at 4-3 right end with JT Tuimoloau. He could end up replacing Sam Hubbard at 4-3 left end, or he can start out as a backup to Trey Hendrickson and be eased into the lineup if Trey Hendrickson does not re-sign with the Cincinnati Bengals.
I posted a film cut of the Ohio State EDGE JT Tuimoloau VS Notre Dame. JT Tuimoloau gave Joe Alt and Olu Fashanu problems winning quarterback hurries against my top two offensive tackles in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Seattle has two running backs on rookie deals in Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet. Seattle had Kenneth Walker III in their top 32 during the 2022 NFL Draft and Seattle had a second round grade on Charbonnett in the 2023 NFL Draft. Seattle drafts another running back because the best overall player on the board is a running back. This gives them the flexibility to let Kenneth Walker III walk after this season.
The 6-0 220 lb Omarion Hampton had 253 carries, 1,504 rushing yards, 15 rushing touchdowns, 29 receptions, 222 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown, 282 touches, 1,776 total yards, and 16 total touchdowns in 2023. Omarion Hampton had 281 carries, 1,660 rushing yards, 15 rushing touchdowns, 38 receptions, 373 receiving yards, 2 receiving touchdowns, 319 touches, 2,033 total yards, and 17 total touchdowns in 2024.
The 5-9 209 lb Kyle Monangai had 242 carries, 1,262 rushing yards, 8 rushing touchdowns, 8 receptions, 78 receiving yards, 0 receiving touchdowns, 250 touches, 1,340 total yards, and 8 total touchdowns in 2023. Kyle Monangai had 256 carries, 1,279 rushing yards, 13 rushing touchdowns, 14 receptions, 75 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdowns, 270 touches, 1,354 total yards, and 14 total touchdowns in 2024. Kyle Monangai is a good north and south runner, but you'd like to see him develop more as a pass catcher and pass blocker. His speed and ball carrier vision is outstanding though.
Denver will need a replacement to Javonte Williams. Jahleel McLaughlin and Audric Estime are the top two running backs on this depth chart. Kyle Monangai would push both of those guys for the starting running back job in Denver.
The 5-11 179 lb Maxwell Hairston had 55 solo tackles, 13 assisted tackles, 68 total tackles, 6 deflections from pass breakups, 5 interceptions, 2 defensive touchdowns on pick sixes, 1.5 tackles for a loss, and 1 forced fumble in 2023. Maxwell Hariston had 15 solo tackles, 4 assisted tackles, 19 total tackles, 4 deflections from pass breakups, 2 forced fumbles, 1 sack, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 interception, and 1 defensive touchdown that was a pick 6 in 2024. Maxwell Hairston compliments both Devon Witherspoon and Tariq Woolen at cornerback quite well in Seattle.
I gave Kentucky cornerback Maxwell Hairston an A+ grade in man coverage, an A+ grade in zone coverage, and a A- grade in press coverage. Maxwell Hairston can play in a cover 0, cover 1, cover 2, cover 3, or cover 4 scheme.
Tampa Bay drafts a left guard. Georgia left guard Dylan Fairchild is the best player on my board at this point in the second round.
The 6-5 318 lb Dylan Fairchild has the pass blocking, pass blocking strength, pass blocking footwork, run blocking, run blocking strength, run blocking footwork, zone blocking, pancake blocking, pull blocking, and cut blocking. He would give Tampa Bay another starter on the offensive line. Tampa Bay would have Tristan Wirfs at left tackle, Dylan Fairchild at left guard, Graham Barton at center, Cody Mauch at right guard, and Luke Goedeke at right tackle.
Green Bay drafts a 4-3 left end that can start next to Rashan Gary right away. Arkansas left end Landon Jackson would push both Lukas Van Ness and Kingsley Enagbare for the starting 4-3 left end job. The worst case scenario for Landon Jackson is he would be a very good backup 4-3 left end in Green Bay. The best case scenario for Landon Jackson is he wins that starting job and emerges as a starter next to Rashan Gary.
The 6-5 273 lb Landon Jackson has 22 solo tackles, 22 assisted tackles, 44 total tackles, 13.5 tackles for a loss, 6.5 sacks, 2 quarterback hurries, and 1 deflection from a pass breakup in 2023. Landon Jackson had 27 solo tackles, 22 assisted tackles, 49 total tackles, 9.5 tackles for a loss, 9 quarterback hurries, 6.5 sacks, 3 deflections from pass breakups, and 1 forced fumble in 2024.
The Los Angeles Chargers get a situational pass rusher for depth behind Tuli Tuipolotu and Khalil Mack with Joey Bosa gone. Jihaad Campbell makes a lot of sense here.
The 6-3 235 lb Jihaad Campell had 54 solo tackles, 63 assisted tackles, 117 total tackles, 11.5 tackles for a loss, 5 sacks, 2 deflections from pass breakups, 2 quarterback hurries, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 interception in 2024. Jihaad Campbell did well against Will Campbell on tape and is a bargain this late in the second round.
The 5-10 185 lb Jabbar Muhammad had 41 solo tackles, 5 assisted tackles, 46 total tackles, 16 deflections from pass breakups, 5 tackles for a loss, 3 interceptions, and 2 sacks in 2023. I gave Jabbar Muhammad a A grade in man coverage, a C grade in zone coverage, and a B grade in press coverage.
Jabbar Muhammad can play in a cover 0, cover 1, or cover 2 defense. Buffalo brings in Jabbar Muhammed as a dime cornerback, but he would be the eventual boundary cornerback next to Christian Benford with guys like Tre'Davious White and Dane Jackson being a one year stop gaps.
Carolina gets a strong safety that can be a day 1 starter with this second round pick they got from the Los Angeles Rams. Carolina traded their early second round pick to Chicago, but recouped a second round pick from the Los Angeles Rams.
The Carolina Panthers get an upgrade at safety. Alabama free safety Malachi Moore would compliment Tre'von Moehrig quite well.
The 6-0 198 lb Malachi Moore had 30 solo tackles, 22 assisted tackles, 52 total tackles, 5 tackles for a loss, 5 deflections from pass breakups, 1 quarterback hurry, and 1 interception in 2023. Malachi Moore had 40 solo tackles, 30 assisted tackles, 70 total tackles, 8 deflections frompass breakups, 3 tackles for a loss, 3 quarterback hurries, 2 interceptions, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 sack in 2024.
I gave Malachi Moore a B grade in man coverage, a B+ in zone coverage, and a B- in press coverage. His versatility to play either strong safety or free safety as well as giving Malachi Moore an A in run stuffing were the two biggest reasons Moore cracked the late second round.
Houston gets a left tackle that can develop behind Cam Robinson for a year. Aireontae Ersery could be a starting left tackle by 2026.
The 6-5 339 lb Aireontae Ersery has the pass blocking, pass blocking strength, run blocking, run blocking strength, run blocking footwork, zone blocking, and pancake blocking you want in a left tackle. His pass blocking footwork needs to improve and pass blocking strength does need to be more consistent though.
Baltimore drafts a cornerback here. Notre Dame cornerback Benjamin Morrison is good enough to beat out Chidobe Awuzie for the nickel cornerback job on the Baltimore Ravens.
The 6-0 193 lb Benjamin Morrison got an A+ grade in man coverage, A+ in zone coverage, A+ in press coverage, and A+ run stuffing when watching him on film. Benjamin Morrison did better against Marvin Harrison Jr. than Will Johnson did and Will Johnson is the number one player on my board. I got Benjamin Morrison at 5 on my board back in the fall, but his medicals and missed time with an injury cause him to fall to the end of the second round.
Benjamin Morrison had 22 solo tackles, 11 assisted tackles, 33 total tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 10 deflections from pass breakups, 6 interceptions, and 1 defensive touchdown as a true freshman in 2022. Benjamin Morrison had 25 solo tackles, 6 assisted tackles, 31 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss, 13 deflections from pass breakups, and 3 interceptions as a true sophomore in 2023. Benjamin Morrison had 14 solo tackles, 6 assisted tackles, 20 total tackles, and 4 deflections from pass breakups in 2024 before injuries shortened his season.
Benjamin Morrison can play cover 0, cover 1, cover 2, cover 3, and cover 4. He had a lot of success against Marvin Harrison Jr. last year as stated earlier.
The Detroit Lions get a linebacker for depth. Danny Stutsman is versatile enough to play 4-3 right outside linebacker, 4-3 middle linebacker, 4-3 left outside linebacker, and 3-4 middle linebacker with his versatility. Detroit drafts him for depth behind both Alex Anzalone and Jack Campbell. Alex Anzalone and Malcolm Rodriguez are both in contract years in 2025, so it is possible that Danny Stutsman is starting in Detroit by 2026.
The 6-3 233 lb Danny Stutsman had 44 solo tackles, 65 assisted tackles, 109 total tackles, 8 tackles for a loss, 3 quarterback hurries, and 1 sack in 2024. Danny Stutsman's versatility to play multiple linebacker roles makes him the top middle linebacker in the 2025 NFL Draft. He also goes to a Detroit team that is stacked at linebacker, so he won't have to be an immediate starter on the Detroit Lions.
Washington gets a 4-3 defensive tackle to compliment Da'Ron Payne and Jer'Zhan Newton. Texas defensive tackle Alfred Collins is the best defensive takckle on the board at this point making this a good value pick for the Washington Commanders.
The 6-5 332 lb Alfred Collins had 27 solo tackles, 28 assisted tackles, 5 total tackles, 7 deflections from pass breakups, 5.5 tackles for a loss, 1 sack, 1 quarterback hurry, 1 forced fumble, and 1 blocked kick/punt in 2024. Alfred Collins would start out as a situational defensive tackle, but could become a regular starter on Washington if he gets the opportunity to play.
Washington will have Da'Ron Payne and Jer'Zhan Newton as the starting defensive tackles. Alfred Collins will be the backup defensive tackle replacing both Jonathan Allen and Phidarian Mathis their 2022 second round pick whose no longer on the Washington Commanders. Alfred Collins can end up being a starter a lot earlier than expected like Jer'Zhan Newton if Da'Ron Payne gets injured in 2025.
Buffalo gets an offensive linemen here. I have Grey Zabel listed as a left tackle since that was his natural position in college, but Grey Zabel has the versatility to play left tackle, left guard, center, right guard, and right tackle.
The 6-5 316 lb Grey Zabel has the pass blocking, pass blocking strength, pass blocking footwork, run blocking, run blocking strength, run blocking footwork, zone blocking, pancake blocking, pull blocking, and cut blocking you want from a blindside. He held his own versus Colorado.
Buffalo has Dion Dawkins at left tackle, David Edwards at left guard, Connor McGovern at center, O'Cyrus Torrence at right guard, and Spencer Brown at right tackle. The only position Grey Zabel could end up winning as a rookie in Buffalo is the left guard job. You can also stash him for the future at left tackle with Dion Dawkins in his thirties now.
Kansas City drafts a boundary cornerback to pair with Trent McDuffie. Denzel Burke is a good addition to the Kansas City Chiefs in the second round.
The 5-11 186 lb Denzel Burke had 28 solo tackles, 9 assisted tackles, 37 total tackles, 13 deflections from pass breakups, and 1 interception winning the number one field cornerback job as a true freshman in 2021.
