2025 NFL Mock Draft: Final Mock 7 Rounds

Round 3

Chris Ransom follow @DraftUtopia Last Updated: April 24, 2025.

  1. New York Giants: Quinn Ewers, QB, Texas

New York has Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston on one year contracts. The New York Giants roll the dice on my third best quarterback Quinn Ewers to start the third round.

Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers is my third best quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft. He's ranked sixty fifth overall on my big board.

The 6-2 214 lb Quinn Ewers had 3,479 passing yards, 22 passing touchdowns, 75 rushing yards, 5 rushing touchdowns, 3,554 total yards, 27 total touchdowns, 6 interceptions, and a 69% completion percentage in 12 games against Rice, Alabama, Wyoming, Baylor, Kansas, Oklahoma, Houston, TCU, Iowa State, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, and Washington in the 2024 College Football Playoff as a sophomore redshirt in 2023. Quinn Ewers had 3,472 passing yards, 31 passing touchdowns, 12 interceptions, 2 rushing touchdowns, and 33 total touchdowns in 2024.

Quinn Ewers can make up to 5/6 progressions like Cam Ward. Can make a 1-step, 3-step, and 5-step drop. He's not as accurate as Ward was and struggles with 7-step drops. I do believe he's the best quarterback not named Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders in the 2025 NFL Draft.

I posted a Quinn Ewers film cut. Here you see Quinn Ewers against Alabama.

    Other New York Giants Selections

  2. Kansas City Chiefs: Jonah Savaiinaea, RT, Arizona

Kansas City drafts the best player on the board with this third round pick from the Tennessee Titans. Arizona right tackle Jonah Savaiinaea is a late second round prospect on my big board. He was a late third heading into 2023, but impressed me enough on film in 2024 to move into the late second round. Kansas City drafts Jonah Savaiinaea to be a replacement to Jawaan Taylor at right tackle.

Kansas City can buyout Jawaan Taylor in 2026 after this season with the Kansas City Chiefs saving $20 million dollars in cap space next season. That's why drafting multiple offensive tackles like Josh Connerly Jr. in the first round at 31 and Jonah Savaiinaea at 63 or 65 makes a ton of sense for the Kasnas City Chiefs if the opportunity presents itself since neither Wanya Morris or Kingsley Suamatia showed they could be a starting left tackle on the Kansas City Chiefs last year. Kingsley Suamatia might be moving inside to left guard where Joe Thuney played as Kansas City hopes a transition to guard helps Suamatia. If Connerly beats out Jaylon Moore for the left tackle job, then Moore would probably move inside to left guard. If Jaylon Moore starts at left tackle, then Suamatia would move inside to left guard.

The 6-3 339 lb Jonah Savaiinaea has the pass blocking, pass blocking strength, pass blocking footwork, run blocking, run blocking strength, run blocking footwork, zone blocking, pancake blocking, pull blocking, and cut blocking you want from a right tackle. Jonah Savaiinaea did well against Kansas State and Utah in 2024 despite struggling against UCLA and Laitau Latu in 2023.

    Other Kansas City Chiefs Selections

  3. Cleveland Browns: Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss

The Cleveland Browns draft a quarterback at this point in the third round. Right now Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett are the only quarterbacks on the roster assuming Deshaun Watson never plays another down with the Cleveland Browns. Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart is the fourth best quarterback on my big board. Cleveland has looked at Jaxson Dart and if he's there after taking Hunter at 2 and a left tackle like Josh Simmons at 33, you absolutely have to pull the trigger on Dart, my fourth best quarterback as well as my best quarterback available at this point in the third round.

The 6-1 226 lb Jaxson Dart had 4,279 passing yards, 29 passing touchdowns, 495 rushing yards, 3 rushing touchdowns, 4,774 total yards, 32 total touchdowns, 6 interceptions, and completed 69.3% of his passes in 2024. Jaxson Dart made all six progressions on a completion against Kentucky.

Jaxson Dart is great with 1-step and 3-step drops. He struggles to complete passes on 5-step and 7-step drops.

    Other Cleveland Browns Selections

  4. Las Vegas Raiders: Devin Neal, RB, Kansas

Las Vegas gets a running back. Devin Neal is my top player on the board in the third round as he's the best player with a second round grade still on my big board.

The 5-10 220 lb Devin Neal had 203 carries, 1,280 rushing yards, 16 rushing touchdowns, 25 receptions, 217 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown, 228 touches, 1,497 total yards, and 17 total touchdowns in 2023. Devin Neal had 219 carries, 1,266 rushing yards, 16 rushing touchdowns, 24 receptions, 254 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown, 243 touches, 1,520 total yards, and 17 total touchdowns in 2024.

    Other Las Vegas Raiders Selections

  5. New England Patriots: Tory Horton, WR, Colorado State

New England gets a wide receiver hoping to find a weapon that can compliment Stefon Diggs. Colorado State wide receiver Tory Horton is one of two wide receivers with a third round grade on my board in the third round.

The 6-2 196 lb Tory Horton had 71 receptions, 1,131 receiving yards, and 8 receiving touchdowns in 2022. Tory Horton had 96 receptions, 1,136 receiving yards, and 8 receiving touchdowns in 2023. Tory Horton only had 26 receptions, 353 receiving yards, and 1 receiving touchdown in 5 games in 2024 before a season ending injury. Tory Horton ran a 4.48 40-yard dash at the 2025 NFL Combine while catching a majority of passes in the gauntlet drill at the 2025 NFL Combine.

Tory Horton can run all thirty routes on the route tree just like the top three receivers in this draft in Luther Burden III, Tetoria McMillan, and Emeka Egbuka as those are the only four receivers in this draft that I've seen run every route on the route tree. Tory Horton and 2024 first round pick Xavier Legette were the last two wide receivers to drop a pass in the FBS last year in 2023 as Tory Horton was 21 in December when he announced he was returning to Colorado State for his fifth year of eligibility while Xavier Legette got drafted in the first round despite being 24-years-old. Tory Horton also had the fastest top speed of any wide receiver in the country at 23.1 miles per hour and ran a 4.45 40-yard dash this Spring. Tory Horton is a second round prospect maybe a fringe first if it wasn't for his season ending injury making him a perfect wide receiver for New England to gamble on in the third round.

I posted a film cut of Colorado State wide receiver Tory Horton VS Colorado. You can watch that film cut in the clip below.

    Other New England Patriots Selections

  6. Jacksonville Jaguars: Oronde Gadsden II, TE, Syracuse

Jacksonville drafts the top tight end on the board at 70. Orondre Gadsden II is good enough to beat out Brenton Strange for the starting tight end job. I know Jacksonville added both Johnny Mundt and Hunter Long in Free Agency, but that will not stop Jacksonville from drafting a tight end since there are multiple tight ends in this draft that can beat out Brenton Strange for the starting tight end job.

The 6-5 243 lb Oronde Gadsden II had 73 receptions, 934 receiving yards, and 7 receiving touchdowns in 2024. Oronde Gasden II ran 17/30 routes on the route tree.

Jacksonville's offense now has Trevor Lawrence back at quarterback under his third different head coach. Walker Little is the starting left tackle, Ezra Cleveland at left guard, Robert Hainsey at center, Patrick Mekari at right guard, and Anton Harrison at right tackle. Brian Thomas Jr. is the flanker wide receiver, Gabriel Davis is the secondary wide receiver, Dyami Brown is the slot receiver, Parker Washington is the number four wide receiver, Oronde Gasden II is the starting tight end, Travis Etienne Jr. is the starting running back with Tank Bigbsy as the change of pace running back.

    Other Jacksonville Jaguars Selections

  7. New Orleans Saints: Jalen Travis, RT, Iowa State

New Orleans drafts an offensive tackle to push 2022 first round pick Trevor Penning for the right tackle job in the wake of Ryan Ramczyk retiring due to his injury. Jalen Travis played right tackle at Princeton and left tackle at Iowa State.

The 6-7 341 lb Jalen Travis has the pass blocking, pass blocking strength, pass blocking footwork, run blocking, run blocking strength, run blocking footwork, and zone blocking you want from an offensive tackle. You would like to see more pancake blocking, pull blocking, and cut blocking from Jalen Travis, but he possesses most of the traits you want in a guy who can develop into an eventual NFL starter at either left tackle or right tackle.

    Other New Orleans Saints Selections

  8. Chicago Bears: Jonas Sanker, SS, Virginia

Chicago drafts the best player on my board and the only player with a second round grade left on my board in the third round. Virginia strong safety Jonas Sanker could be an eventual replacement to Jaquan Brisker at strong safety if the Bears do not want to pay Brisker after his rookie deal expires in 2026.

The 6-0 206 lb Jonas Sanker had 65 solo tackles, 33 assisted tackles, 98 total tackles, 8.5 tackles for a loss, 4 deflections from pass breakups, 2 sacks, 1 quarterback hurry, and 1 interception in 2024. Jonas Sanker ran a 4.48 40-yard dash at the 2025 NFL Combine.

I gave Jonas Sanker an A grade in man coverage, an A+ in zone coverage, a C- in press coverage, a B+ in run stuffing, and a C in tackling. He did miss some tackles on tape, but showed the speed and coverage you want from a starting safety. There's a reason Sanker is the final second round player on my big board. Jonas Sanker can play in a cover 0, cover 1, cover 2, cover 3, and cover 4 scheme.

    Other Chicago Bears Selections

  9. New York Jets: Howard Cross III, DT, Notre Dame

The New York Jets added Derrick Nnadi and Byron Cowart in Free Agency. I don't think either is a long-term starter next to Quinnen Williams which is why I'm mocking Notre Dame defensive tackle Howard Cross III here. Howard Cross III can redshirt and learn the New York Jets playbook in 2025. As he is eased in, he will become a part of Aaron Glenn's defensive line on the New York Jets next to Quinnen Williams in 2026 and beyond.

The 6-1 285 lb Howard Cross III had 28 solo tackles, 38 assisted tackles, 66 total tackles, 7 tackles for a loss, 4 quarterback hurries, 2 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles in 2023. Howard Cross III had 14 solo tackles, 14 assisted tackles, 28 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for a loss, 4 sacks, 3 quarterback hurries, and 1 deflection from a pass breakup in 2024. Howard Cross III entered the season as a second round pick, but regressing in 2024 causes him to drop to the third round. If he plays like he did in 2023 in the NFL, he could end up being a steal.

    Other New York Jets Selections

  10. Carolina Panthers: Jordan Hancock, CB, Ohio State

Carolina gets a cornerback to push Chau Smith-Wade last years fifth round pick for the nickel cornerback job. One player with more upside than Chau Smith-Wade still on the board is Ohio State nickel cornerback Jordan Hancock.

The 6-0 195 lb Jordan Hancock had 29 solo tackles, 19 assisted tackles, 48 total tackles, 8 deflections from pass breakups, 2 forced fumbles, 1.5 tackles for a loss, 1 interception, 1 quarterback hurry, and a 0.5 sack in 2024.

I gave Jordan Hancock an A+ in man coverage, an A in zone coverage, an A- in press coverage, an A in tackling, and an A+ in hard hitting. Jordan Hancock can play in a cover 0, cover 1, cover 2, cover 3, or cover 4 cover scheme.

    Other Carolina Panthers Selections

  11. San Francisco 49ers: Jonah Monheim, C, USC

San Francisco drafts a starting center here getting a day 1 starter at center. USC center Jonah Monheim is my top ranked center in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The 6-4 307 lb Jonah Monheim has the pass blocking, pass blocking strength, pass blocking footwork, run blocking, run blocking strength, run blocking footwork, and zone blocking you want from a center. San Francisco could still use upgrades at left guard and right tackle, but the addition of Jonah Monheim at center does allow the San Francisco 49ers to upgrade at center.

    Other San Francisco 49ers Selections

  12. Dallas Cowboys: Kevin Winston Jr., SS, Penn State

Dallas drafts a safety for depth behind Malik Hooker. The best player on my board that is not a running back is Penn State strong safety Kevin Winston Jr.

The 6-1 215 lb Kevin Winston Jr. had 34 solo tackles, 27 assisted tackles, 61 total tackles, 5 deflections from pass breakups, 2.5 tackles for a loss, and 1 interception in 2023. Kevin Winston Jr. had 8 solo tackles, 5 assisted tackles, 13 total tackles, and 1 forced fumble in 3 starts before a season ending injury in 2024.

I gave Kevin Winston Jr. an A grade in man coverage, an A in zone coverage, an A- in press coverage, an A grade in run stuffing, and an A- grade in hard hitting. Kevin Winston Jr. can play in a cover 0, cover 1, cover 2, cover 3, or cover 4 coverage shell and having a star safety with this skill set would be invaluable for the Dallas Cowboys. Malik Hooker has stayed healthy since arriving in Dallas, but Kevin Winston Jr. is a guy who can end up supplanting Hooker on the depth chart if Hooker gets injured.

    Other Dallas Cowboys Selections

  13. New England Patriots: Azareye'h Thomas, CB, Florida State

New England drafts a cornerback that can push Marcus Jones for the nickel cornerback job with Jones entering the final year of his rookie deal. Christian Gonzalez and Carlton Davis should be the top two cornerbacks on this defense for the next three years.

The 6-1 191 lb Azareye'h Thomas had 21 solo tackles, 8 assisted tackles, 29 total tackles, 10 deflections from pass breakups, 4.5 tackles for a loss, 1 forced fumble, and a 0.5 sack when Florida State went 12-0 in the regular season in 2023. Azareye'h Thomas had 35 solo tackles, 17 assisted tackles, 52 total tackles, 4 deflections from pass breakups, 2 quarterback hurries, 1.5 tackles for a loss, and 1 interception in 2024. I gave Azareye'h Thomas an A+ grade in man coverage, an A- in zone coverage, and an A+ in press coverage.

Azareye'h Thomas can play in a cover 0, cover 1, cover 2, cover 3, or cover 4 scheme. Azareye'h Thomas does not always lock his eyes on the wide receiver he's covering despite having the skill set to play in every coverage shell.

    Other New England Patriots Selections

  14. Arizona Cardinals: Cobee Bryant, CB, Kansas

Arizona gets a cornerback here. Kansas cornerback Cobee Bryant held his own against Travis Hunter when Hunter lined up at wide receiver.

The 6-0 180 lb Cobee Bryant had 26 solo tackles, 11 assisted tackles, 37 total tackles, 7 deflections from pass breakups, 4 interceptions, 3.5 tackles for a loss, 1 forced fumble, and a 0.5 sack in 2024. I gave Cobee Bryant an A grade in man coverage, an A grade in zone coverage, and a D grade in press coverage. Cobee Bryant can play in a cover 0, cover 1, cover 2, cover 3, or cover 4 scheme.

    Other Arizona Cardinals Selections

  15. Houston Texans: Luke Kandra, RG, Cincinnati

Houston drafts a right guard that can push for a starting job. Cincinnati right guard Luke Kandra might be a fit here.

The 6-5 319 lb Luke Kandra pass blocking, pass blocking strength, pass blocking footwork, run blocking, run blocking strength, run blocking footwork, pancake blocking, pull blocking, and cut blocking you want from a right guard. The only thing I'd like to see him improve in is his zone blocking.

    Other Houston Texans Selections

  16. Indianapolis Colts: Ollie Gordon IV, RB, Oklahoma State

Indianapolis gets a change of pace running back to compliment Jonathan Taylor. Ollie Gordon IV could be a nice addition here.

I gave Indianapolis Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon IV. Only Travis Hunter, Will Johnson, and Will Campbell have higher ceilings than Ollie Gordon IV evnen though he is somewhat raw. He can run, pass catch, has the ball carrier vision, and can pass block. Ollie Gordon IV doesn't do those things consistently yet.

The 6-2 225 lb Ollie Gordon IV had 285 carries, 1,732 rushing yards, 21 rushing touchdowns, 39 receptions, 330 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown, 324 touches, 2,062 total yards, and 22 total touchdowns in 2023. Ollie Gordon is also the 2023 Doak Walker Award Winner as the top running back in College Football. Ollie Gordon II only had 190 carries, 880 rushing yards, 13 rushing touchdowns, 29 receptions, 179 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown, 219 touches, 1,059 total yards, and 14 total touchdowns in 2024.

    Other Indianapolis Colts Selections

  17. Cincinnati Bengals: Hunter Wohler, SS, Wisconsin

Cincinnati grabs a safety for depth. Hunter Wohler is someone that Cincinnati could consider here.

The 6-1 217 lb Hunter Woehler had 74 solo tackles, 46 assisted tackles, 120 total tackles, 6 deflections from pass breakups, 5.5 tackles for a loss, 4 quarterback hurries, 2 interceptions, and 1 sack in 2023. Hunter Wohler had 51 solo tackles, 20 assisted tackles, 71 total tackles, 6 deflections from pass breakups, and 1 tackle for a loss in 2024. I gave Hunter Woehler an A in man coverage, an A in zone coverage, and an A- in press coverage.

I believe Hunter Woehler can play in a cover 0, cover 1, cover 2, cover 3, or cover 4 scheme. He might be able to take the strong safety job from Jordan Battle down the road.

    Other Cincinnati Bengals Selections

  18. Seattle Seahawks: Luke Lachey, TE, Iowa

Seattle drafts another tight end. Luke Lachey feels like a perfect fit for Seattle.

The 6-6 251 lb Luke Lachey had 28 receptions, 231 receiving yards, and 0 receiving touchdowns in 2024. He runs 10/30 routes on the route tree and is considered the best run blocking tight end in the 2025 NFL Draft despite only having 4 career touchdowns which all came in 2022.

    Other Seattle Seahawks Selections

  19. Pittsburgh Steelers: Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama

Pittsburgh drafts their quarterback of the future. Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe is someone that Pittsburgh can gamble on to compete with Mason Rudolph. Pittsburgh can draft a quarterback in the 2026 NFL Draft that Pittsburgh hosts if Jalen Milroe doesn't pan out as a rookie.

The 6-1 220 lb Jalen Milroe had 2,844 passing yards, 16 passing touchdowns, 726 rushing yards, 20 rushing touchdowns, 3,570 total yards, 36 total touchdowns, 11 interceptions, and a 64.3 completion percentage in 2024. I saw Jalen Milroe make 5/6 progressions at the 2025 Reese's Senior Bowl.

Jalen Milroe has the arm strength, accuracy, scrambling, and progressions down. He's got to refine his footwork with 1-step drops, 3-step drops, 5-step drops, and 7-step drops if he wants to succeed in the NFL. He also possesses arguably the best deep ball accuracy in the 2025 NFL Draft too.

    Other Pittsburgh Steelers Selections

  20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Kaimon Rucker, 3-4 ROLB, North Carolina

Tampa Bay gets a pass rusher here. North Carolina pass rusher Kaimon Rucker is a guy that a lot of people are sleeping on in this draft.

The 6-1 254 lb Kaimon Rucker had 34 solo tackles, 27 assistd tackes, 61 total tackles, 15 tackles for a loss, 12 quarterback hurries, 8.5 sacks, 1 defleciton from a pass breakup, and 1 forced fumble in 2023. Kaimon Rucker had 16 solo tackles, 14 assisted tackles, 30 total tackles, 8 tackles for a loss, 6 sacks, 3 quarterback hurries, 1 deflection from a pass breakup, and 1 interception in 2024.

Kaimon Rucker has the pass rushing and run stuffing that you want from a 4-3 defensive end or 3-4 outside linebacker as Kaimon Tucker will compete with Yaya Diaby for the 3-4 right outside linebacker job in Tampa Bay.

    Other Tampa Bay Buccaneers Selections

  21. Denver Broncos: Mitchell Evans, TE, Notre Dame

Denver drafts another tight end to compliment Evan Engram and Adam Trautman. Notre Dame tight end Mitchell Evans is my top tight end available.

The 6-5 258 lb Mitchell Evans had 29 receptions, 472 receiving yards, and 1 receiving touchdown in 2023. Mitchell Evans had 43 receptions, 421 receiving yards, and 3 receiving touchdowns. Mitchell Evans is the fourth tight end along with Tyler Warren, Colston Loveland, and Harold Fannin Jr. that can run all 30 routes on the route tree.

    Other Denver Broncos Selections

  22. Los Angeles Chargers: TreVeyon Henderson, RB, Ohio State

The Los Angeles Chargers get a change of pace running back to compliment Najee Harris. TreVeyon Henderson is the best player on my board at this point in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The 5-10 202 lb TreVeyon Henderson was a three year starter at Ohio State before Quinshon Judkins transferred to Ohio State in 2024. TreVeyon Henderson had 144 carries, 1,016 rushing yards, 10 rushing touchdowns, 27 receptions, 284 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown, 171 touches, 1,200 total yards, and 11 total touchdowns even as a change of pace back behind Judkins in 2024.

TreVeyon Henderson has the speed, pass catching, and ball carrier vision. His pass protection does need improvement though.

I posted a TreVeyon Henderson film cut. Here you see TreVeyon Henderson against Notre Dame.

    Other Los Angeles Chargers Selections

  23. Green Bay Packers: Tahj Brooks, RB, Texas Tech

Green Bay drafts a change of pace running back behind Josh Jacobs. I don't trust Marshawn Lloyd or Emmanuel Wilson. Tahj Brooks on the other hand is a running back who may be able to supplant both of them in training camp.

The 5-9 214 lb Tahj Brooks had 286 carries, 1,505 rushing yards, 17 rushing touchdowns, 28 receptions, 199 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown, 314 touches, 1,704 total yards, and 18 total touchdowns in 2024. Tahj Brooks has the speed, pass catching, pass blocking, and ball carrier vision that you want in an NFL running back. Brooks also has back-to-back seasons with over 1,100 rushing yards.

    Other Green Bay Packers Selections

  24. Jacksonville Jaguars: Ricky White III, WR, UNLV

Jacksonville drafts a wide receiver for the future. Ricky White III is someone who can potentially be a day 1 slot receiver on the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The 6-1 184 lb Ricky White III had 88 receptions, 1,483 receiving yards, and 8 receiving touchdowns in 2023. Ricky White III had 79 receptions, 1,041 receiving yards, and 11 receiving touchdowns in 2024.

Ricky White III ran 25/30 routes in 4 games that I watched on film against Boise State twice in the regular season at home as well as the Mountain West Championship Game, a home game against Syracuse, and a road game against Fresno State. Ricky White III is also a great run blocker despite his 4.61 40-yard dash time.

    Other Jacksonville Jaguars Selections

  25. Houston Texans: Damien Martinez, RB, Miami FL

The 5-11 226 lb Damien Martinez had 159 carries, 1,002 rushing yards, 10 rushing touchdowns, 17 receptions, 204 receiving yards, 0 receiving touchdowns, 176 touches, 1,206 total yards, and 10 total touchdowns in 2024. Damien Martinez has the speed, pass catching, ball carrier vision, and pass blocking that you want in a running back. Damien Martinez also had 1,000 rushing yards at Oregon State last year when Taliese Fuaga and Joshua Gray were his offensive tackles in 2023 after a promising freshman season with the Oregon State Beavers in 2022. Damien Martinez compliments Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce quite well in Houston's backfield.

    Other Houston Texans Selections

  26. Los Angeles Rams: Donovan Edwards, RB, Michigan

Los Angeles has Kyren Williams and Blake Corum at running back. Los Angeles is in a unique position where they can draft for value over need. This means the Los Angeles Rams can draft a third running back here if the best player on their board is in fact a running back at this point in the third round.

The 5-11 215 lb Donovan Edwards had 128 carries, 589 rushing yards, 4 rushing touchdowns, 18 receptions, 82 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown, 146 touches, 671 total yards, and 5 total touchdowns in 2024. Donovan Edwards ran a 4.45 at the 2025 NFL Combine. Donovan Edwards has the speed and pass catching to be a nice change of pace running back despite what the stats say.

    Other Los Angeles Rams Selections

  27. Baltimore Ravens: Ashton Gillotte, 3-4 ROLB, Louisville

Baltimore gets a pass rusher here. Ashton Gillotte could be an option at pass rusher here in the third round.

The 6-2 269 lb Ashton Gillotte had 23 solo tackles, 22 assisted tackles, 14.5 tackles for a loss, 11 sacks, 6 quarterback hurries, and 3 forced fumbles in 2023. Ashton Gillotte had 23 solo tackles, 20 assisted tackles, 43 total tackles, 10 tackles for a loss, 10 quarterback hurries, and 4.5 sacks in 2024. Even though Ashton Gillotte's sacks plummetted in 2024, his ability to consistently get pressure on the quarterback with tackles for a loss and quarterback hurries remains an asset for any NFL organization. The Houston Texans are a great scheme fit for Ashton Gillotte as he's my best available player on the board at this point in the third round.

Ashton Gillotte has the rip and swim moves you want. He's versatile enough to play 4-3 right end, 4-3 left end, 3-4 right outside linebacker, or 3-4 left outside linebacker. He does a good job dropping back into coverage. He just needs to improve his ability as a run stuffer. A defensive end whose more consistent than he appears is well worth the gamble at this point in the third round.

    Other Baltimore Ravens Selections

  28. Seattle Seahawks: Princely Umanmielen, 3-4 LOLB, Ole Miss

The Seattle Seahawks geta pass rusher here. Ole Miss defensive end Princely Umanmielen showed the versatility to line up at 4-3 right end, 4-3 left end, 3-4 right outside linebacker, and 3-4 left outside linebacker.

The 6-4 265 lb Princely Umanmielen had 19 solo tackles, 18 assisted tackles, 37 total tackles, 14 quarterback hurries, 13.5 tackles for a loss, and 10.5 sacks in 2024. Princely Umanielen really dominated against Georgia showing the ability to rush the passer, stop the run, drop into coverage, win double teams, won reps as a speed rusher, and showcased a nice swim move. Princely Umanmielen checked every box as a defensive end in that game against Georgia outside of showcasing rip moves on tape. Some were high on Princely in 2023, but I feel much more comfortable about drafting him now after seeing his tape in 2024.

    Other Seattle Seahawks Selections

  29. New Orleans Saints: Cam Skattebo, RB, Arizona State

New Orleans uses this third round pick they got from the Washington Commanders in the Marshon Lattimore trade. Alvin Kamara will remain the bellcow. I believe New Orleans will draft another running back to replace Kendre Miller as the change of pace back since the 2025 NFL Draft is stacked at running back. Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo makes a lot of sense here.

The 5-9 219 lb Cam Skattebo had 293 carries, 1,711 rushing yards, 21 rushing touchdowns, 45 receptions, 605 receiving yards, 3 receiving touchdowns, 338 touches, 2,318 total yards, and 24 total touchdowns in 2024. Cam Skattebo has the speed, pass catching, ball carrier vision, and pass blocking that you want in an NFL running back. He's got a high ceiling and I believe he can beat out Kendre Miller for the backup running back job.

    Other New Orleans Saints Selections

  30. Cleveland Browns: RJ Harvey, RB, Central Florida

Cleveland gets their future starting running back with this third round pick they received from the Buffalo Bills when trading wide receiver Amari Cooper to Buffalo.

The 5-7 207 lb RJ Harvey had 226 carries, 1,416 rushing yards, 16 rushing touchdowns, 19 receptions, 238 receiving yards, 2 receiving touchdowns, 245 touches, 1,654 total yards, and 18 total touchdowns as the starting running back on Central Florida in 2023. RJ Harvey had 232 carries, 1,577 rushing yards, 22 rushing touchdowns, 20 receptions, 267 receiving yards, 3 receiving touchdowns, 252 touches, 1,844 total yards, and 25 total touchdowns in 2024.

RJ Harvey ran a 4.40 40-yard dash at the 2025 NFL Combine. RJ Harvey has the speed, pass catching, and ball carrier vision. He lacks the pass blocking you want from a running back, but makes up for it with his elusiveness. RJ Harvey is probably the best running back at executing a spin move to make defenders miss in the 2025 NFL Draft. If Nick Chubb does not come back, I believe RJ Harvey can step in and be a day 1 starter for Cleveland with this pick.

The Cleveland Browns have Watson, Flacco, Pickett, and Dart at quarterback. Josh Simmons who I mocked at 33 is the left tackle, Joel Bitonio is the left guard, Ethan Pocic is the center, Wyatt Teller is the right guard, Dawand Jones at right tackle. Jerry Jeudy is the flanker wide receiver. Travis Hunter is your secondary wide receiver. Cedric Tillman will be your slot receiver. David Njoku is the starting tight end. RJ Harvey would be the starting running back.

    Other Cleveland Browns Selections

  31. Kansas City Chiefs: Rylie Mills, DT, Notre Dame

Kansas City drafts a defensive tackle to play next to Chris Jones. Derrick Nnadi signed with the New York Jets and Tershawn Wharton is on the Carolina Panthers. I gave Kansas City a left tackle, boundary cornerback, and a right tackle to replace Jawaan Taylor down the road when the Chiefs can buyout Taylor. Now Kansas City has to draft a 4-3 defensive tackle that can start next to Chris Jones. Notre Dame defensive tackle Rylie Mills is my only third round defensive tackle left on my big board.

The 6-5 291 lb Rylie Mills had 19 solo tackles, 18 assisted tackles, 37 total tackles, 8.5 tackles for a loss, 7.5 sacks, and 4 quarterback hurries in 2024. Rylie Mills gives the Kansas City Chiefs a day 1 starter at defensive tackle.

    Other Kansas City Chiefs Selections

  32. Philadelphia Eagles: Mason Taylor, TE, LSU

Philadelphia gets a tight end here. Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia's starting tight end enters a contract year. Grant Calcaterra the backup tight end enters the final year of his rookie deal. Harrison Bryant and Kylen Granson also signed one year contracts. LSU tight end Mason Taylor, the son of former Miami Dolphins tight end Jason Taylor is the best player on my board. Even if Philadelphia redshirts Mason Taylor as a rookie, it makes complete sense for the Philadelphia Eagles to draft and stash Mason Taylor if he drops to 96.

The 6-4 250 lb Mason Taylor was a five star recruit upon enrolling at LSU. Mason Taylor had 38 receptions, 414 receiving yards, and 3 receiving touchdowns as a freshman tight end complimenting Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr. in 2022. Mason Taylor had 36 receptions, 348 receiving yards, and 1 receiving touchdown in 2023. Mason Taylor had 55 receptions, 546 receiving yards, and 2 receiving touchdowns in 2024.

Mason Taylor is the fifth tight end in the 2025 NFL Draft that can run all 30 routes on the route tree. The other four Tyler Warren, Colston Loveland, Harold Fannin Jr., and Mitchell Evans are all off the board. Mason Taylor is available and he's a great run blocker too. I've seen some mocks place Mason Taylor in the second round on his size, tape, and traits alone despite Harold Fannin Jr. having superior production.

    Other Philadelphia Eagles Selections

  33. Minnesota Vikings: Dorian Strong, CB, Virginia Tech

The Minnesota Vikings get this third round compensation pick at 97 for losing quarterback Kirk Cousins. Kirk Cousins signed with the Atlanta Falcons in the 2024 NFL Free Agency Period.

Minnesota has Byron Murphy Jr. back at field cornerback and Mekhi Becton back from a season ending injury at boundary cornerback with two years left on his rookie deal. Minnesota brought in Isaiah Rodgers and Jeffrey Okudah to compete for the nickel cornerback job, but both of those guys feel like dime cornerbacks at best. Drafting another cornerback on a rookie deal that can start out as the nickel and step into a boundary role if Byron Murphy Jr. or Mekhi Becton gets injured isn't the worst idea.

The 6-0 179 Dorian Strong had 20 solo tackles, 12 assisted tackles, 32 total tackles, 6 deflections from pass breakups, 2 interceptions, and 1 forced fumble in 2024. I gave Dorian Strong an A- in man coverage, a D in zone coverage, and a D- in press coverage.

Dorian Strong can play in a cover 0, cover 1, or cover 2 scheme. Dorian Strong is inconsistent with backpedalling, struggles to keep his hips straight, his feet are pointed diagonally away from receivers at times, doesn't play with the physicality you want from a press corner. Dorian Strong is good enough in man coverage to start at nickel cornerback on a team that deploys a lot of man coverage like the Minnesota Vikings, but that's his ceiling.

The worst case scenario for Dorian Strong is he fails to win a starting job as a rookie and you end up developing his zone and press coverage behind veterans like Isaiah Rodgers and Jeffrey Okudah. The best case scenario is he beats out both of those guys for a nickel cornerback job while Rodgers as well as Okudah are servicable depth players.

    Other Minnesota Vikings Selections

  34. Miami Dolphins: Will Howard, QB, Ohio State

The Miami Dolphins get this third round compensation pick at 98 for losing right guard Robert Hunt. Robert Hunt signed with the Carolina Panthers during the 2024 NFL Free Agency Period.

The 6-4 236 lb Will Howard had 4,010 passing yards, 35 passing touchdowns, 226 rushing yards, 7 rushing touchdowns, 4,236 total yards, 42 total touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 2024. Will Howard began his career at Kansas State, but transferred to Ohio State for his senior season.

Will Howard completed 64/67 passes at Ohio State's Pro Day. That was the most accurate of any quarterback at any Pro Day leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft. However there are concerns about his arm strength despite Howard displaying pinpoint accuracy and the ability to read all 6 progressions. Some say that will drop Howard to day 3, but he's the best player on my board at this point in the third round. I believe someone in the late third round will gamble on Will Howard whether it is the Minnesota Vikings, Miami Dolphins, or Los Angeles Rams.

    Other Miami Dolphins Selections

  35. New York Giants: Wyatt Milum, RT, West Virginia

The New York Giants get this third round compensation pick at 99 for losing strong safety Xavier McKinney. Xavier McKinney signed with the Green Bay Packers during the 2024 NFL Free Agency Period.

The 6-6 315 lb Wyatt Milum has the pass blocking, run blocking, and zone blocking. He began his career at West Virginia starting out at right tackle before moving to left tackle during his sophomore season. I believe Wyatt Milum needs to improve his pass blocking strength, run blocking strength, pass blocking footwork, and run blocking footwork. He can block effectively regardless of scheme as long as he gets his hands on defenders. The problem is Milum doesn't get his hands on defenders consistently.

The New York Giants have Andrew Thomas at left tackle and Jermaine Elumenor at right tackle. Wyatt Milum can enter training camp competing against other offensive tackles for the swing tackle job. James Hudson the former Cleveland Browns left tackle from the 2021 NFL Draft is now the backup left tackle to Andrew Thomas. Stone Forsyth the former Seattle Seahawks offensive tackle from the 2021 NFL Draft is now the New York Giants backup right tackle. Joshua Ezeudu their 2022 third round pick is the third string left tackle and Evan Neal is the third string right tackle.

New York doesn't need to draft an offensive tackle if Joe Schoen is confident in those six tackles, but Milum is the best player on the board at 99. With San Francisco on deck, it makes zero sense for the New York Giants to pass on Milum. The worst case scenario is Milum is a the seventh best offensive tackle on this depth chart, but gets pushed up to OT4 due to roster cuts in training camp as well as trades. The best case scenario is New York gets a swing tackle that can eventually become Elumenor's replacement at right tackle two years from now once he improves his pass blocking strength, pass blocking footwork, run blocking strength, and run blocking footwork.

    Other New York Giants Selections

  36. San Francisco 49ers: Nick Jackson, ROLB, Iowa

The San Francisco 49ers get this third round compensation pick at 100 for losing defensive coordinator Demeco Ryans and assistant GM Ran Carthon. Demeco Ryans became the Houston Texans head coach while Ran Carton was the Tennessee Titans GM for two years before being fired in January of 2025.

San Francisco drafts a 4-3 right outside linebacker to compete with Dee Winters for the right outside linebacker job. I like Dee Winters at middle linebacker, but not sure right outside linebacker is the best fit for him.

The 6-0 235 lb Nick Jackson had 46 solo tackles, 45 assisted tackles, 7 deflections from pass breakups, 5 tackles for a loss, 2.5 sacks, and 1 interception in 2024. Nick Jackson did not get an invite to the 2025 NFL Combine, but interviewed well at Iowa's Pro Day. Nick Jackson impressed me more on tape than Jay Higgins despite the fact that Jackson didn't get an invite to the 2025 NFL Combine. Nick Jackson was my only player that didn't make the 2025 NFL Combine to crack day 2 of my 2025 NFL Mock Draft.

    Other San Francisco 49ers Selections

  37. Los Angeles Rams: Nick Martin, 3-4 MLB, Oklahoma State

The Los Angeles Rams get this third round compensation pick at 101 for losing defensive coordinator Raheem Morris. Raheem Morris became the Atlanta Falcons head coach.

The Los Angeles Rams get an upgrade at 3-4 middle linebacker. Oklahoma State middle linebacker Nick Martin can play 4-3 middle linebacker as well as 3-4 middle linebacker. You can also use him as a 4-3 left outside linebacker. Los Angeles drafts Nick Martin for depth behind Omar Speights and Nate Landman.

The 6-0 222 lb Nick Martin had 28 solo tackles, 19 assisted tackles, 47 total tackles, 7.5 tackles for a loss, 5 quarterback hurries, 2 deflections from pass breakups, and 1 sack in 2024.

    Other Los Angeles Rams Selections

  38. Detroit Lions: Barrett Carter, ROLB, Clemson

The Detroit Lions get this third round compensation pick at 102 for losing defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn. Aaron Glenn became the New York Jets head coach.

The 6-0 227 lb Barrett Carter had 42 solo tackles, 40 assisted tackles, 82 total tackles, 10.5 tackles for a loss, 8 quarterback hurries, 7 deflections from pass breakups, 3.5 sacks, and 1 rushing touchdown in 2024. Alex Anzalone and Malcolm Rodriguez both enter contract years. Even though I mocked a middle linebacker to Detroit in the second round in Danny Stutsman, I'm doubling up at linebacker with a pure right outside linebacker in Barrett Carter, since one he's the best player on my board. The other reason is Wes Langley mocked him to Detroit at 102 in the yearly NFL Group Mock I host on Facebook. Frankly I love the fit with Barrett Carter on the Detroit Lions to end the third round of my 2025 NFL Mock Draft.
