2022 MLS Super Draft Results

Round 4

Marshall midfielder and right winger Vitor Dias was in my top 15. Find out who snagged him in the fourth round.

Chris Ransom follow @DraftUtopia Last Updated: January 11, 2022.

  1. Chicago Fire F.C.: Yannis Leerman, D, Central Florida C Grade

This is the third center back Chicago Fire F.C. has drafted. Unless Kendall Burks takes an offer to play overseas in England, Leerman may not see a lot of playing time.

The 6-1 177 lb Yanis Leerman was a center back on Central Florida. Leerman is the third center back to get drafted by Chicago Fire F.C. in the 2022 MLS Super Draft.

  2. Vancouver Whitecaps: Vitor Dias, M, Marshall A+ Grade

The 5-10 160 lb Vitor Dias was a huge piece on Marshall's 2020 College Cup Championship team that won the entire thing this Spring. Vitor Dias had 6 goals, 7 assists, and 19 points in the Spring of 2021 during his championship season. Vitor Dias had 5 goals, 5 assists, and 15 points this Fall in 2021. Vitor Dias can play the 7 at right wing, the 8 at central midfielder, or the 10 at attacking midfielder. Right wing seems to be his best fit, but I"m not sure which role Vancouver would use Vitor Dias in since they could put him at central midfielder or attacking midfielder as well as right winger.

  3. F.C. Dallas: Holland Rula, D, Wake Forest A Grade

The 5-11 175 lb Holland Rula is versatile enough to play the 2 at right back and the 3 at left back. It's hard to believe that Holland Rula is the best prospect on Wake Forest not named Kyle Holcolmb. Holland Rula gives F.C. Dallas a fullback for depth witht his pick.

  4. Atlanta United F.C.: Tola Showunmi, F, New Hampshire A Grade

The 6-3 182 lb Tola Showunmi had 10 goals, 3 assists, and 23 points in the Fall of 2021. The New Hampshire striker will require an International roster slot.

  5. San Jose Earthquakes: Passed F Grade

San Jose passed on the last pick in the 2022 MLS Super Draft. This is the first MLS Super Draft in quite some time without a Mr. Irrelevant.
