2024 MLS Super Draft Results

Round 3

Stanford midfielder Zach Bohane was in my top 10. Find out which MLS Playoff contender snagged him in the third round.

Chris Ransom follow @DraftUtopia Last Updated: December 19, 2023.

  1. Toronto F.C.: Patrick McDonald, M, Indiana A+ Grade

The 5-11 140 lb Patrick McDonald became a regular starter halfway through his true freshman season in 2021. He's started every game at Indiana the last two years with 23 starts in 2022 and 2023. He's versatile enough to play the 6 at defensive midfielder and the 8 at central midfielder.

Patrick McDonald had 11 starts in 22 games played with 1 goal, 1 assist, 3 points, and helped Indiana record 4 shutouts in his 11 starts. He played the other 11 games off the bench and helped Indiana record 11 shutouts as a true freshman in 2021. Patrick McDonald had 2 goals, 2 assists, 4 points, and helped Indiana record 8 shutouts starting 23 games coming off the bench in the season opener where Indiana lost to Clemson as a sophomore in 2022. Patrick McDonald had 3 goals, 5 assists, 11 points, and helped Indiana record 8 shutouts as a junior in 2023.

Patrick McDonald has one more year of NCAA eligibility at Indiana in 2024. Patrick McDonald will not require an International roster slot, so Toronto F.C. can bring him up to MLS Next or the MLS as a bench player starting in 2025.

  2. Colorado Rapids: Gunnar Studenhofft, F, Manhattan C Grade

The 6-3 200 lb Gunnar Studenhofft plays the 9 at striker, but is also versatile enough to play the 10 at attacking midfielder, and the 11 at left winger. Gunnar Studenhofft is from the Camden Islanders.

Gunnar Studenhofft had 5 goals, 5 assists, and 15 points as the striker on Manhattan in his first year starting as a true sophomore in 2022. Gunnar Studenhofft had 7 goals, 2 assists, and 16 points on Manhattan as a junior in 2023.

Gunnar Studenhofft has one more year of NCAA eligibility in 2024. Gunnar Studenhofft will probably be an MLS Next player since he was very inconsistent desptie showing flashes of being the guy on Manhattan. I don't see Colorado using an International roster slot on him in the MLS, but I do think he's got a shot to be a solid contributor in MLS Next.

  3. Inter Miami C.F.: Pep Casas, M, UNC Wilmington C Grade

The 5-10 136 lb Pep Casas plays the 6 at defensive midfelder and can play the 8 at central midfielder, but the native whose hometown is Barcelona, Spain feels like a better fit for defensive midfielder at the 6 as a professional.

Pep Casas had 0 goals, 1 assist, 1 point, and helped UNC Wilmington produce 9 shutouts as a junior in 2022. Pep Casas had 2 goals, 1 assist, 5 points, and helped UNC Wilmington produce 7 shutouts as a senior in 2023.

Pep Casas feels like a player that will come into MLS Next. He should be a regular contributor on MLS Next if he gets a contract.

  4. Los Angeles Galaxy: Tucker Lepley, M, UCLA A+ Grade

The 5-6 135 lb Tucker Lepley had 5 goals, 7 assists, and 17 points playing the 11 at left winger as a freshman redshirt in 2021. Tucker Lepley had 3 goals, 1 assist, and 7 points befor a season ending injury as a sophomore redshirt in 2022. Tucker Lepley had 3 goals, 2 assists, and 8 points in 18 starts after transitioning from the 11 at left winger to the 10 at attacking midfielder as a junior redshirt in 2023.

Tucker Lepley has one more year of NCAA eligibility. The Los Angeles Galaxy can give him a contract after this season. This is a low risk, high reward pick for the Los Angeles Galaxy.

  5. Philadelphia Union: Zach Bohane, M, Stanford A+ Grade

The 5-10 150 lb Zach Bohane had 1 goal, 2 assists, and 4 points in only 3 starts as a true freshman in 2022. Zach Bohane had 8 goals, 11 assists, and 27 points in 19 starts while helping Stanford record 7 shutouts with Stanford as a sophomore in 2023.

Zach Bohane's main position is attacking midfielder, but he can play any midfielder role which is good since Philadelphia needs midfielders. Zach Bohane is versatile enough to play the 6 at defensive midfielder, the 7 at right winger, the 8 at central midfielder, the 10 at attacking midfielder, and the 11 at left winger.

Zach Bohane can go back to Stanford for up to two more years. Philadelphia doesn't have to sign Zach Bohane who was in my top 10 until December 31, 2025. This is a fantastic pick by the Philadelphia Union and probably the best selection of the entire third round.

  6. Chicago Fire F.C.: Laurence Wootton, M, Ohio State B- Grade

The 5-9 160 lb Laurence Wootton had 1 goal, 2 assists, 4 points, helped Ohio State record 2 shutouts as a true freshman while starting all 10 games he played winning 2020 Big 10 Freshman of the Year in during the Spring of 2021 following Covid 19. Laurence Wootton had 7 goals, 2 assists, 16 points, and helped Ohio State record 3 shutouts as a true sophomore while starting all 16 games for Ohio State as a true sophomore in the Fall of 2021. Laurence Wootton had 5 goals, 2 assists, 12 points, helped Ohio State record 6 shutouts, and won 2022 Big 10 Midfielder Of The Year as a true junior in 2022. Laurence Wootton had 5 goals, 0 assists, 10 points, helped Ohio State record 6 shutouts, and won 2023 Big 10 Midfielder Of The Year as a true senior in 2023.

Laurence Wootton is the first player to repeat as Big 10 Midfielder Of The Year since Tanner Thompson won Big 10 Midfielder Of The Year in 2015 and 2016 at Indiana prior to the 2017 MLS Super Draft. Laurence Wootton is from England and he's got the versatility to play the 6 at defensive midfielder, the 8 at central midfielder, or the 10 at attacking midfielder. I think the 8 probably suits him best as a box-to-box midfielder.

Laurence Wooton will start out in MLS Next. He will be a solid contributor on Chicago Fire F.C.'s MLS Next team and could develop into a solid player on the Chicago Fire's MLS team down the road.

  7. D.C. United: Nate Crockford, G, Wisconsin A+ Grade

The 6-4 190 lb Nate Crockford transferred from UCLA to Wisconsin to play the 1 at goalie. Nate Crockford had 1,530 minutes played, 18 goals allowed, a 1.06 goals against average, 43 saves, a .705 save percentage, a 6-5-6 record, 7 shutouts, and faced 119 shots in 2023.

Nate Crockford's 7 shutouts came against Purdue, Drake, Kentucky, Mercer, Indiana on the road in a 0-0 tie, Maryland, and Ohio State on the road in Columbus. That's a pretty good accomplimshment for a Wisconsin goalie that didn't have the best supporting cast.

  8. New York City F.C.: Taylor Calheira, F, UMBC A+ Grade

The 6-0 170 lb Taylor Calheria was considered a prseason first round prospect and he's one of the most consistent forwards in college soccer that an MLS team can land in the third round of what is a very deep striker class.

Taylor Calheira had 9 goals, 5 assists, and 23 points as a sophomore in the Fall of 2021 Taylor Calheira had 11 goals, 7 assists, 29 points, and won 2022 American East Striker Of The Year as a junior in 2022. Taylor Calheira had 10 goals, 4 assists, 24 points, and won 2023 American East Striker Of The Year as a senior in 2023. Taylor Calheira is the second UMBC player to do that after scoring 30 goals in his final three seasons at UMBC.

Taylor Calheira is the second player in UMBC history to repeat as an award winnerfor UMBC since Pete Caringi III in 2012 and 2013. What makes Taylor Calheira's achievement more impressive is that his teammate Ryan Becher transferred to UCLA. Ryan Becher is the younger brother of Vancouver Whitecaps 2022 first round pick Simon Becher, ad Taylor Calheira showed he could still be the man at UMBC without Ryan Becher.

Taylor Calheira had an assist against Maryland as a sophomore. Taylor Calheira finished his four year career at UMBC with 32 goals, 16 assists, 80 points, 207 shots, 102 shots on goal, 10 game-winning goals, 5,086 minutes played with three consecutive seasons of 1,300 minutes played, and went 4/6 on penalty kicks in his career.

  9. Minnesota United F.C.: Morris Duggan, D, Marshall A+ Grade

The 6-4 205 lb Morris Duggan can play the 4 at sweeper or the 5 at center back. Morris Duggan had 2 goals, 2 assists, 6 points, and the 2023 Sun Belt Defensive Player Of The Year has helped Marshall record 10 shutouts starting in 9 of those shutouts at center back as a junior redshirt in 2023. He's the underclassmen in my 2024 MLS Mock Draft.

Morris Duggan may require an International roster spot in MLS, but you can stash him in MLS Next while Morris Duggan develops for a year in MLS Next. Morris Duggan was also touted as the anchor of the Marshall Thundering Herd's backline by one Marshall insider that messages me with Marshall soccer updates on Facebook. The other benefit to taking a flyer on him is that he is one of the biggest center backs in the 2024 MLS Super Draft.

  10. CF Montreal: Eli Conway, F, Connecticut D- Grade

The 6-0 168 lb Eli Conway had 3 goals, 3 assists, and 9 points as a true sophomore at striker. There are better forwards available. Grayson Doody, Malik Henry, and Eli Conway were all reaches where they were picked. I cannot remember the last time I gave a team a D- grade on all of their first three draft picks. CF Montreal lost Wilfred Nancy to Columbus and the people in the front office in charge of drafting did a horrible job. I think CF Montreal will be making some front office changes after the 2024 MLS Season.

  11. Portland Timbers: Gage Guerra, F, Louisville B+ Grade

The 5-10 180 lb Gage Guerra had 7 goals, 0 assists, and 14 points playing the 9 at striker in 2023. Gage Guerra has one year of NCAA eligibility. Portland only had 2 picks, but this was probably their best selection.

  12. Charlote FC: Nathan Richmond, M, Clemson B Grade

The 5-7 145 Nathan Richmond played the 11 at left winger. He can kick effective corner kicks. He's not a bad player to develop in the third round since he will probably be a regular starter as a junior next year. Nathan Richmond can spend the next two years at Clemson and then Charlotte FC can offer him a contract at the end of the 2025 MLS Season before December 31, 2025.

  13. San Jose Earthquakes: Riley Lynch, F, Saint Mary's C+ Grade

The 5-10 155 lb Riley Lynch is versatile enough to play the 9 at striker and the 10 at attacking midfielder. Riley Lynch was a three year starter at Saint Mary's.

Riley Lynch had 3 goals, 3 assists, and 9 points as a freshman in 2021. Riley Lynch had 2 goals, 5 assists, and 9 points as a sopohmore in 2022. Riley Lynch had 8 goals, 5 assists, and 21 points as a junior in 2023. Riley Lynch can return to the NCAA for one more season before San Jose has to sign him to a contract in either MLS or MLS Next. San Jose's draft was solid, but unspectacular. I think this was the Earthquakes best pick though.

  14. Chicago Fire F.C.: Shane de Flores, M, Stanford A- Grade

The 5-10 155 lb Shane de Flores is versatile enough to play the 8 at central midfielder and the 10 at attacking midfielder. Shane de Flores had 8 goals, 4 assists, and 20 poitns as a freshman redshirt in 2022. Shane de Flores had 7 goals, 8 assists, and 22 points as a sophomore redshirt in 2023.

  15. F.C. Dallas: Mads Westergren, D, SMU A+ Grade

The 6-3 184 lb Mads Westergren is a 21-year-old center back on SMU who had 1 goal, 4 assists, 6 points, and helped SMU record 9 shutouts in 2023. F.C. Dallas will have a really good center back tandem of Mads Westergren and homegrown center back Josh Ramsey down the road if F.C. Dallas secures Josh Ramsey the Notre Dame center back to a homegrown deal in 2025.

Mads Westergren can play the 4 at sweeper or the 5 at center back. Mads Westergren held Luis Flores and Oral Roberts to a shutout earlier in the season this year in 2023. When Stanford defeated SMU in 2022, Mads Westergren was defending effectively on film while his freshman teammate at center back missed assignments that led to Stanford's three goals in Stanford's 3-1 win over SMU.

F.C. Dallas has Turner Humphrey, Mads Westergren, and homegrown center back Josh Ramsey. Having that many options at center back helps down the road. Mads Westergren has one more year of NCAA eligibility before F.C. Dallas has to decide whether to sign him to an MLS or MLS Next contract in 2025.

  16. Vancouver Whitecaps: Nicholas Fleuriau Chateau, F, St. John's A Grade

The 5-10 180 lb Nicholas Fleuriau Chateau had 14 goals, 1 assist, and 29 points at St. John's in 2023. The junior redshirt that plays the 9 at striker has one more season of NCAA eligibility. Vancouver can sign him to an MLS or MLS Next deal any time between now and December 31, 2025. The head coach at St. John's was kind enough to follow me on Twitter. If I missed any critical information about Nicholae Fleuriau Chateau, I'm all ears and am open to hearing coach out.

  17. Nashville S.C.: Bryce Boneau, M, Notre Dame B+ Grade

The 5-10 160 lb Bryce Boneau is a sophomore redshirt. He missed his 2021 season due to an injury. He's started every game the last two years at Notre Dame with the versatility to play the 6 at defensive midfielder and the 8 at central midfielder. Bryce Boneau also showed the ability to be an offensive playmaker that can play the 10 at attacking midfielder too during his draft year at Notre Dame.

Bryce Boneau had 0 goals, 3 assists, and 3 points in 17 starts as a freshman redshirt in 2022. Bryce Boneau had 4 goals, 7 assists, 15 points, and helped Notre Dame record 10 shutouts as a sophomore redshirt in 2023.

Nashville S.C. doesn't have to sign Bryce Boneau to a contract until December 31, 2025. Bryce Boneau has two more years of eligibility at Notre Dame after completing his sophomore redshirt season.

  18. Real Salt Lake: Maximus Jennings, D, Georgetown A+ Grade

The 6-0 170 lb Maximus Jennings can play the 2 at left back, the 3 at right back, the 4 at sweeper, the 5 at center back, the 6 at defensive midfielder, and the 7 at right winger. Maximus Jennings is a two year starter on Georgetown.

Maximus Jennings had 0 goals, 0 assists, 0 points, and 6 shutouts in 14 starts as a sophomore after sitting out his freshman year in 2022. Maximus Jennings had 5 goals, 1 assist, 11 points, and helped Georgetown record 8 shutouts as a junior in 2023. Maximus Jennings is taller and more versatile than Kenny Nielsen. Jennings is better than Nielsen transitioning from defense to offense and just as sound defensively despite not having the leadership traits that Kenny Nielsen brought to Georgetown soccer.

  19. Atlanta United F.C.: Casper Mols, G, Kentucky A Grade

The 6-4 195 lb Casper Mols plays the 1 at goalie. Casper Mols is the top sophomore goalie in College Soccer not named Jayden Hibbert as he entered the year as the number two freshman in 2022 and the number two sophomore behind Jayden Hibbert in both 2022 and 2023.

The 21-year-old Casper Mols is from Denmark and will require an International roster slot if he gets promoted to the MLS. He started at Kentucky starting 16 games as a true freshman in 2022 during the undefeated season regular season Kentucky had going 11-1-4 with 7 shutouts, a 0.6 goals against average, a .700 save percentage, 28 saves, and played 1,417 minutes with the only loss occurring against the Pittsburgh Panthers when Kentucky was the top seed in the 2022 College Cup. This signature freshman season by Casper Mols led to Casper Mols winning the 2022 Sun Belt Goalie Of The Year award as a true freshman in 2022.

Casper Mols went to the 2023 United Soccer Coaches Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to receive Awards following his freshman season at Kentucky. Casper Mols went 8-6-4 as a sophomore with 7 shutouts, a .750 save percentage, and a 1.17 goals against average in 18 starts after Kentucky lost a good core of their backline to graduation and the 2023 MLS Super Draft thanks to the departures of Robert Screen at right back and Luis Grassow at center back.

Casper Mols still did well enough to earn an invite to the 2023 MLS College Showcase even without Grassow at center back or Screen at right back. He didn't dominate from a production standpoint without those two, but still managed to play well enough to crack the list for draft eligible prospects in the 2024 MLS Super Draft as a true sophomore. Casper Mols is the second goalie that Atlanta United F.C. drafted after taking Jayden Hibbert in the first round, but I really like the value Atlanta got with Casper Mols in the third round.

  20. Minnesota United F.C.: Babacar Niang, M, Wake Forest C Grade

The 5-11 160 lb Babacar Niang has the versatility to play the 6 at defensive midfielder and the 8 at central midfielder. Babacar Niang is a solid player, but he came off the bench most of this season only starting 5 games for Wake Forest.

  21. St. Louis City SC: Brendan McSorley, F, Providence B Grade

The 6-0 160 lb Brendan McSorely had 11 goals, 1 assist, and 23 points playing the 9 at striker during his senior season at Providence in 2023. Brendan McSorely did a great job for Providence, but only producing a goal or assist in 8 of the Providence Friars 17 starts is why I gave St. Louis City SC another B grade.

St. Louis City SC got Hosei Kijima and Brendan McSorley. I'd say they had a top 10 MLS Draft, but not a top 5 one.

  22. Sporting Kansas City: Jonathan Robinson, D, Western Michigan A+ Grade

The 5-8 155 lb Jonathan Robinson had 2 goals, 5 assists, 9 points, 25 shots, helped Western Michgan record 11 shutouts playing the 2 at left back, and played 1,874 minutes in 21 starts as a sophomore redshirt helping Western Michigan win the MAC Championship in 2022 after transferring to Western Michigan from Marquette after hardly being utilized at Marquette. Jonathan Robinson had 1 goal, 13 assists, 15 points, 36 shots, helped Western Michigan record 12 shutouts playing the 2 at left back without star goalie Hunter Morse a 2023 second round pick, and has played 1,893 minutes in 22 starts as a junior redshirt at Western Michigan helping Western Michigan defeat two time Missouri Valley Conference Champion Missouri State in the 2023 MissourI Valley Championship.

The results and consistency are there with Jonathan Robinson in terms of defending and leading his college to back-to-back conference championships in two different conferences which is why he is now a first round left back at the 2 in the 2024 MLS Super Draft as Robinson has played 3,761 minutes over the last two years at Western Michigan. This junior redshirt was a player that I had a first round grade on, but he fell to the third round of the 2024 MLS Super Draft because he wasn't in the 2023 MLS College Showcase.

  23. Seattle Sounders: Buba Fofanah, F, Portland A Grade

The 5-9 172 lb Buba Fofanah is the secondary striker on Porland. He plays the 9 just like Jacob Babali.

Buba Fofanah started all 17 games in 2023. Buba Fofanah had 9 goals, 6 assists, and 24 points as a junior redshirt. Buba Fofanah has 1 more year of NCAA eligibility. Seattle could sign Buba Fofanah to an MLS Next contract in 2025.

  24. Philadelphia Union: Francesco Montali, G, Boston University A- Grade

Philadelphia Union starting goalie Andre Blake is going to be back next season as the first pick in the 2014 MLS Super Draft will be back for a eleventh season with the Philadelphia Union next year. Philadelphia Union backup goalie Joe Bednik's contract is up by New Years Eve in 2023 and he has not been extended. Philadelphia Union 2023 first round pick Holden Trent's deal ran through December 31, 2023, but the Union did add another year to his contract after only starting 5 games in MLS Next meaning he will either be starting full-time in MLS Next or will be promoted to the active roster as the backup to Andre Blake. If Holden Trent gets promoted, drafting another young goalie to develop makes complete sense here for the Philadelphia Union.

The 6-3 185 lb Francesco Montali plays the 1 at goalie for Boston University. The Philadelphia Union will add Francesco Montali to their MLS Next roster with him most likely being used in a similar capacity as Holden Trent was on the MLS Next Team in 2024.

Francesco Montali started all 16 games, played 1,451 minutes, allowed 10 goals, had a 0.62 goals against average, recorded 52 saves, had a .839 save percentage, went 6-3-7, recorded 8 shutouts, faced 160 shots, and won Patriot League Goalie Of THe Year as a junior in 2022. Francesco Montali started all 18 games, played 1,620 minutes, allowed 15 goals, had a 0.83 goals against average, recorded 42 saves, had a .737 save percentage, went 12-3-3, recorded 8 shutouts, faced 167 shots, led Boston University to the 2023 Patriot League Championship where Boston Unversity defeated Lafayette 1-0, and won 2023 Patriot League Goalie Of The Year.

Holden Trent was the Big South Goalie Of The Year two years in a row before being drafted by the Philadelphia Union in 2023. Francesco Montali was the Patriot League Goalie Of The Year two years in a row before being drafted by the Philadelphia Union in 2024.

What if the thought process was let's get Hodlen Trent to be Andre Blake's successor and then let's draft another goalie like Francesco Montali to be Joe Bednik's replacement at backup goalie down the road when Andre Blake retires or moves on from the Philadelphia Union. That's a smart strategy if that is indeed the thought process.

  25. Orlando City S.C.: Riyon Tori, M, Charlotte C Grade

The 5-9 150 lb Riyon Tori plays the 6 at defensive midfielder as well as the 8 at central midfielder for Charlotte. The Osaka, Japan native only had 1 goal, 2 assists, 4 points, and helped Charlotte record 8 shutouts in 2023.

Riyon Tori played at St. John's his first two seasons. He transferred to Charlotte in 2023.

Riyon Tori has one more season of NCAA eligibility. Orlando City S.C. can see how this season plays out before deciding whether or not to offer him an MLS Next contract.

I loved Orlando's first three picks. I got mixed feelings about this one, but Riyon Tori is sound defensively. He's a solid pick for a third round prospect, but you want to see him improve offensively in 2024 at Charlotte if he's gonna play central midfielder in the MLS rather than a defensive midfielder role moving foward.

  26. Real Salt Lake: Ruben Mesalles, M, Duke A+ Grade

The 6-0 165 lb Ruben Mesalles might be the most versatile player on Duke. The former IMG Academy midfielder, Ruben Mesalles can play the 2 at left back, the 3 at right back, the 6 at defensive midfielder, the 7 at right winger, and the 11 at left winger.

Duke's junior has the versatility to play five different positions, but his natural position at Duke was the 11 at left winger. Real Salt Lake loves versatility with their prospects.

Ruben Mesalles had 4 goals, 4 assists, 12 points, and helped Duke record 6 shutouts in 2023. Ruben Mesalles played a minimum of 1,340 minutes in all three seasons at Duke. He also received an invite to the 2023 MLS College Showcase following his junior season. Chicago can draft him, let him play out his senior year at Duke, and sign him in 2024 if they don't want to add him to the roster right away too from a flexibility standpoint.

  27. Toronto F.C.: Fletcher Bank, M, Stanford A+ Grade

The 5-10 165 lb Fletcher Bank is a true sophomore for Stanford that plays the 7 at right winger which is a position of need for Toronto F.C. Fletcher Bank had 2 goals, 8 assists, and 12 points for Stanford in 2023. I had Fletcher Bank in my first round, so this pick could be a steal in the third round.

  28. CF Montreal: Carson Hodgson, M, Western Michigan A+ Grade

The 5-8 147 lb Carson Hodgson showed the versatility to play the 6 at defensive midfielder, the 8 at central midfielder, the 10 at attacking midfielder, and the 11 at left winger. Hodgson played defensive midfielder, central midfielder, and left winger during his freshman season in 2022. He played attacking midfielder as a sophomore in 2023.

Carson Hodgson had 0 goals, 4 assists, 4 points, and helped Western Michigan record 12 shutouts, and started all 21 games before winning the 2022 MAC Freshman Of The Year Award as a true freshman in 2022. Carson Hodgson had 8 goals, 11 assists, 27 points, 12 shutouts, and started all 23 games averaging over a point per game as a sophomore in 2023.

Carson Hodgson has been too consistent these past two seasons at Western Michigan not to go in the first two rounds, but he ended up being the second to last pick in the 2024 MLS Super Draft. The team drafting Hodgson can either let him return to college, give him an MLS Next contract, or give him an opportunity in the MLS perhaps if he blows the team away that drafts him in training camp.

CF Montreal reached on their first three picks. Carson Hodgson is probably the teams best selection in the 2024 MLS Super Draft.

  29. Columbus Crew: Luke Pruter, G, California Irvine C+ Grade

Columbus has both their starting goalie and backup goalie back next year. Columbus chose Luke Pruter who plays the 1 at goalie for the California Irvine Anteaters. Other goalies like Wake Forest goalie Trace Alphin, Cornell goalie Ryan Friedberg, and SIU Edwardsville goalie Sam Gomez were ranked higher on my board, but the goalie Columbus drafted has respectable production and carried his team to a Conference Championship game which is why this pick got a C+ grade.

The 6-5 200 lb Luke Pruter had 20 starts, 1,820 minutes played, 21 goals allowed, a 1.04 goals against average, 71 saves, a .708 save percentage, a 9-7-4 record, 8 shutouts, and faced 200 shots in 2023. Luke Pruter's goaltending in a 0-0 shutout during the 2023 Big West Championship against UC Davis allowed California Irvine to secure an automatic bid to the 2023 College Cup.

Luke Pruter has one more year of NCAA eligibility left. He will probably be on the Columbus Crew MLS Next team sometime in 2025.
