- Vancouver drafts a bottom pairing defenseman with massive size. Maksim Sokolovskii is a number six defenseman on a third line with exceptional penalty killing skills as he may have the ceiling to develop into a first line penalty killer. He got traded to the London Knights early in the OHL this past season. Braidy Wassilyn will be on Boston University in 2026 though.
- The 5-11 194 lb Braidy Wassilyn is smaller than his projection heading into the OHL which was 6-1 195. Braidy Wassilyn had 8 goals, 31 assists, and 39 points with the Niagara IceDogs in 2024-2025.
