Windsor Spitfires: Ethan Belchetz, LW, (2026) A+ Grade
- The 6-4 233 lb Ethan Belchetz had 46 goals, 38 assists, and 84 points as the Oakville Rangers AAA Under 16 Team that won the 2024 OHL Cup in 2023-2024. Ethan Belchetz models his game after former Columbus Blue Jackets right winger Rick Nach. He's going to the Windsor Spitfires the same OHL team that Wyatt Johnston and Shane Wright played on.
- Despite being only 16, Belchetz has the speed, explosion, burst, agility, skating, foot speed, playmaking, passing, sniping, wrist shot power, wrist shot accuracy, slap shot power, slap shot accuracy, vision, offensive awareness, defensive awareness, and hockey IQ to succeed in the NHL. Ethan Belchetz described wanting to showcase leadership qualities in the OHL.
Sarnia Sting: Alessandro Di Iorio, C, (2026) A Grade
- The 5-11 165 lb Alessandro Di Iorio had 20 goals, 12 assists, and 32 points with the Vaughan Kings AAA Under 16 Team in 2023-2024. Alessandro Di Iorio described himself as a fast skater that likes to take control of the game with the puck.
- Despite being only 16, Alessandro Di Iorio has the speed, explosion, burst, agility, skating, foot speed, playmaking, passing, sniping, wrist shot power, wrist shot accuracy, slap shot power, slap shot accuracy, vision, offensive awareness, defensive awareness, and hockey IQ to succeed in the OHL. Alessandro Di Iorio will have two years to develop with the Sarnia Sting.
Peterborough Petes: Colin Fitzgerald, C, (2026) A+ Grade
- The 6-2 178 lb Colin Fitzgerald had 39 goals, 25 assists, and 64 points in 35 games with the Peterborough Petes AAA Under 16 Team in 2023-2024. Carson Cameron also had 1 goal, 4 assists, and 5 points in 6 games for Team Ontario during the 2023 Canada Games as this right shot defneseman has the traits of a two-way defenseman.
- Despite being only 16, Fitzgerald has the explosion, burst, agility, skating, foot speed, playmaking, passing, sniping, wrist shot power, wrist shot accuracy, slap shot power, slap shot accuracy, vision, offensive awareness, defensive awareness, and hockey IQ to succeed in the NHL. Colin Fitzgerald was ranked around 13 on most OHL draft boards because consensus thought he was going to the Green Bay Gamblers in the USHL after being tendered, but the Peterborough Petes managed to keep Colin Fitzgerald in Canada.
Niagara IceDogs: Braidy Wassilyn, C, (2026) A+ Grade
- The 6-1 195 lb Braidy Wassilyn is the team captain of the Markham Majors GTHL AAA Under 16 Team. Braidy Wassilyn had 35 goals, 23 assists, and 58 points in 25 games with the Markham Majors GTHL AAA Under 15 Team in 2022-2023. Braidy Wassilyn had 31 goals, 31 assists, and 62 points as the team captain of the Markham Majors GTHL AAA Under 16 Team in 2023-2024.
- Despite being only 16, Wassilyn has the speed, explosion, burst, agility, skating, foot speed, playmaking, passing, sniping, wrist shot power, wrist shot accuracy, slap shot power, slap shot accuracy, vision, offensive awareness, defensive awareness, and hockey IQ to succeed in the NHL. Ryan Roobroeck and Braidy Wassilyn will be quite the one two punch at center in the OHL as this center tandem reminds me a lot of Connor McDavid and Dylan Strome on the Erie Otters back in the day.
Barrie Colts: Parker Vaughan, RW, (2026) A+ Grade
- The 6-0 173 lb Parker Vaughan had 23 goals, 26 assists, and 49 points in 30 games with the Elgin-Middlesex Ali Under 16 Team in 2023-2024. This touted right winger models his game after Sidney Crosby and it is why he is the team captain of the Elgin-Middlesex Ali Under 16 Team.
- Despite being only 16, Vaughan has the speed, explosion, burst, agility, skating, foot speed, playmaking, passing, sniping, wrist shot power, wrist shot accuracy, slap shot power, slap shot accuracy, vision, offensive awareness, defensive awareness, and hockey IQ to succeed in the NHL. Parker Vaughan can play on the power play or the penalty killing unit. He can play up by a goal or down by a goal when the game is on the line.
Flint Firebirds: Cole Zurawski, RW, (2026) B+ Grade
- The 5-11 169 lb Cole Zurawski had 19 goals, 23 assists, and 42 points with the Mississauga Rebels GTHL AAA Under 16 Team. There were four players ahead of him on most OHL Draft rankings which is why the Flint Firebirds got a B+ grade here.
Owen Sound Attack: Pierce Mbuyi, LW, (2026) B+ Grade
- The 5-10 145 lb Pierce Mbuyi had 29 goals, 30 assists, and 59 points in 35 games with the Toronto Marlboro's AAA Under 16 Team in 2023-2024. Pierce Mbuyi is an unselfish player whose skills translate well to the OHL.
- Despite being only 16, Mbuyi has the speed, explosion, burst, agility, skating, foot speed, playmaking, passing, sniping, wrist shot power, wrist shot accuracy, slap shot power, and slap shot accuracy to succeed in the OHL. His decision making, offensive awareness, defensive awareness, and hockey IQ is effective enough to get the job done in the OHL. I'm not sure his traits translate to the NHL though and there were four players ahead of him on most consensus OHL boards which is why this is a B+ grade.
Kingston Frontenacs: Caleb Malhotra, C, (2026) F Grade
- The 6-0 154 lb Caleb Malhotra is going to the Chilliwack Chiefs in the BCHL. The Kingston Frontenacs get an F grade for wasting this selection.
Guelph Storm: Alex McLean, C, (2026) A+ Grade
- The 5-9 162 lb Alex McLean had 30 goals, 47 assists, and 77 points with the Barrie Colts OMHA AAA Under 16 Team in 2023-2024. Only two players had higher grades than Alex McLean, but McLean had higher point totals than both of those players which is why I'm giving htis pick an A+ grade.
- Despite being only 16, McLean has the speed, explosion, burst, agility, skating, foot speed, playmaking, passing, sniping, wrist shot power, wrist shot accuracy, slap shot power, slap shot accuracy, vision, offensive awareness, defensive awareness, and hockey IQ to succeed in the NHL. Alex McLean was an amazing value pick for the Guelph Storm at 9.
Erie Otters: Tyler Challenger, LW, (2026) C- Grade
- The 6-1 192 lb Tyler Challenger has underwhelming production for an OHL prospect that ranked twenty ninth on most big boards making this arguably the biggest reach in the top 10 of the 2024 OHL Draft. The fact that his teammates respect him is the only reason Tyler Challeger got spared with a C- grade.
Ottawa 67's: Nathan Amidovski, C, (2026) A Grade
- The 6-1 160 lb Nathan Amidovski had 40 goals, 29 assists, and 69 points in 35 games with the Barrie Colts AAA Under 16 Team in 2023-2024. He was a second line center on that team behind Alex McLean.
- Despite being only 16, Amidovski has the explosion, burst, agility, skating, foot speed, playmaking, passing, sniping, wrist shot power, wrist shot accuracy, slap shot power, slap shot accuracy, vision, offensive awareness, defensive awareness, and hockey IQ to succeed in the OHL. Ottawa can patiently develop him hoping he becomes the best version of himself.
Sudbury Wolves: Luca Blonda, D, (2027) A+ Grade
- The 5-10 170 lb Luca Blonda had 13 goals, 28 assists, and 41 points with the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite Under 15 Team in 2023-2024. Luca Blonda was the best defenseman in the 2024 OHL Draft.
- Despite being only 15, Blonda has the speed, explosion, burst, agility, skating, foot speed, playmaking, passing, sniping, wrist shot power, wrist shot accuracy, slap shot power, slap shot accuracy, vision, offensive awareness, defensive awareness, hard hitting, and hockey IQ to succeed in the NHL. He was an impact player for the Pittsburgh Penguins Under 15 Team at the UPMC Sports Complex in Cranberry, PA.
Mississauga Steelheads: Adam Valentini, C, (2026) F Grade
- The 5-9 187 lb Adam Valentini is going to the Chicago Steel in the USHL. This is an F grade by the Mississauga Steelheads here.
Brantford Bulldogs: Aiden O'Donnell, C, (2026) D Grade
- The Hamilton Bulldogs will be the Brantford Bulldogs for the next two years while the Hamlton Bulldogs stadium goes through renovations. This is not a permanent team change only a temporary one.
- The 6-0 164 lb Aiden O'Donnell got picked fourteenth overall. The Brantford Bulldogs reached here.
Kitchener Rangers: Cameron Reid, D, (2025) A+ Grade
- The 5-11 161 lb Cameron Reid had 16 goals, 43 assists, and 59 points in 77 games for Bishop Kearney Selects AAA Under 14 Team in 2021-2022. Cameron Reid was so impressive that he got promoted to team captain for the Bishop Kearney Selects AAA Under 15 Team where he had 22 goals, 47 assists, and 69 points in 77 games with Bishop Kearney Selects AAA Under 15 Team as their team captain in 2022-2023.
- Despite being only 16, Reid has the speed, explosion, burst, agility, skating, foot speed, playmaking, passing, sniping, wrist shot power, wrist shot accuracy, slap shot power, slap shot accuracy, vision, offensive awareness, defensive awareness, hard hitting, and hockey IQ to succeed in the NHL. Cameron Reid talked about being a team player whether it is passing the puck, shooting the puck, or blocking shots. You have to admire that type of unselfishness by Cameron Reid.
Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds: Brady Martin, C, (2025) A+ Grade
- The 6-0 176 lb Brady Martin was the team captain on the Waterloo Wolves AAA Under 16 Team. I've seen Brady Martin listed as high as the eleventh best overall player in the 2025 NHL NHL Entry Draft and Elite Prospects currently has Brady Martin as the fifteenth best player in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft. Brady Martin has been considered the consensus third best player in Canada behind Matthew Schaefer and Ryan Roobroeck dating back to November of 2022.
- Brady Martin had 21 goals, 21 assists, and 42 points in 2021-2022. Brady Martin had 27 goals, 29 assists, and 56 points after getting promoted to team captain on the Wateroo Wolves AAA Under 16 team in 2022-2023. Brady Martin has the versatility to play left wing, center, and right winger. He played on the first line of Team Ontario with both Matthew Schaefer and Ryan Roobroeck at the 2023 Canada Game.
- Despite being only 16, Martin has the speed, explosion, burst, agility, skating, foot speed, playmaking, passing, sniping, wrist shot power, wrist shot accuracy, slap shot power, slap shot accuracy, vision, offensive awareness, defensive awareness, and hockey IQ to succeed in the NHL. Matthew Schaefer, Ryan Roobroeck, and Brady Martin all wowed me on tape and all three of the top three picks in the 2023 OHL Priority Selection have a chance to be special players in the OHL.
- Brady Martin isn't the face off specialist that Ryan Roobroeck is, but he is a more versatile player in my opinion. Brady Martin also lived on a farm growing up, but he will play on the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. Martin talked about wanting to improve as a skater while getting bigger, faster, and stronger.
Niagara IceDogs: Ethan Czata, C, (2025) A+ Grade
- The 6-0 156 lb Ethan Czata had 22 goals, 15 asists, and 37 points in 35 games with the Mississauaga Rebels AAA Under 16 Team in 2022-2023. There's no game film on Ethan Czata and he wasn't in the top 60 rankings for the 2023 OHL Draft back in November, yet he still ended up being the fifth player drafted in the 2023 OHL Priority Selection.
- Despite being only 16, Ethan Czata has the speed, explosion, burst, agility, skating, foot speed, playmaking, passing, sniping, wrist shot power, wrist shot accuracy, slap shot power, slap shot accuracy, vision, offensive awareness, defensive awareness, and hockey IQ to succeed in the NHL. Ethan Czata is great at winning face offs and he models his game after Boston Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron. He's someone who can play the power play as well as the penalty killing unit on special teams with the Niagara IceDogs.
- Ethan Czata dominated the 2023 OHL Combine which was the biggest reason he vaulted into the top 5 of the 2023 OHL Priority Selection. Ethan Czata should make a good second line center to Ryan Roobroeck down the road on the Niagara IceDogs and I listened to a two hour Niagara IceDogs podcast on Youtube where everyone on their team broke down the thought process of taking Ethan Czata at 5 which is why this is an A+ grade.
- One insider close to Niagara said that the IceDogs had Ryan Roobroeck and Ethan Czata were 1 and 2 on the Niagara IceDogs draft board, but I'm somewhat skeptical about that since Matthew Schaefer was a consensus top 2 player along with Ryan Roobroeck. Niagara had Ryan Roobroeck at 1, Matthew Schaefer at 2, Brady Martin at 3, Tyler Hopkins at 4, and Ethan Czata at 5 on their big board after listening to everyone.
Oshawa Generals: Owen Griffin, C, (2025) A+ Grade
- The 5-9 150 lb Owen Griffin led the ETAHL in goals and points this past season. He was the consensus fifth best Canadian in the 2023 OHL Draft rankings back in November behind Matthew Schaefer, Ryan Roobroeck, Brady Martin, and Tyler Hopkins.
- Owen Griffin was the face of the York Simcoe Express AAA Under 16 Team. Owen Griffin had 51 goals, 43 assists, and 94 points in 2022-2023. He's got the vision and playmaking you want a future NHL prospect to have.
- Despite being only 16, Griffin has the explosion, burst, agility, skating, foot speed, playmaking, passing, sniping, wrist shot power, wrist shot accuracy, slap shot power, slap shot accuracy, vision, offensive awareness, defensive awareness, and hockey IQ to succeed in the NHL. Owen Griffin has signed his OHL contract and will play with the Oshawa Generals this Fall. Owen Griffin is currently ranked as the eleventh best player in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft according to Elite Prospects.
Kitchener Rangers: Luca Romano, C, (2025) A+ Grade
- Kitchner is already stacked at center. The 5-11 168 lb Luca Romano had 15 goals, 31 assists, and 46 points in 36 games with the Toronto Jr. Canadians AAA Under 16 Team in 2022-2023. Luca Romano had 5 goals, 3 assists, and 8 points in 7 games with the Toronto Jr. Canadians Under 16 AAA team during the 2023 OHL Cup as a line 2 center behind Jake O'Brien.
- Despite being only 16, Luca Romano has the speed, explosion, burst, agility, skating, foot speed, playmaking, passing, sniping, wrist shot power, wrist shot accuracy, slap shot power, slap shot accuracy, vision, offensive awareness, defensive awareness, hard hitting, and hockey IQ to succeed in the NHL. The first ten picks in the 2023 OHL Draft were first line players on their bantam teams prior to the 2023 OHL Priority Selection. Luca Romano was the first second line player to get picked as a second line center, but his regular season production bested first line center Jake O'Brien who got drafted a few spots ahead of Luca Romano.
Saginaw Spirit: Aiden Young, LW, (2025) A+ Grade
- The 5-11 163 lb Aiden Young had 30 goals, 29 assists, and 59 points with the London Jr. Knights AAA Under 16 Team in 2022-2023. Aiden Young also had 6 goals, 2 assists, and 8 points in the 2023 OHL Cup. Aiden Young was linemates with Ryan Roobroeck on the London Jr. Knights first line.
- Despite being only 16, Young has the speed, explosion, burst, agility, skating, foot speed, playmaking, passing, sniping, wrist shot power, wrist shot accuracy, slap shot power, slap shot accuracy, vision, offensive awareness, defensive awareness, and hockey IQ to succeed in the NHL. Aiden Young could realistically be the first line left winger next to Michael Misa on the Saginaw Spirit. Aiden Young is someone who will really compliment Michael Misa well over the next two years in Saginaw whose hosting the 2024 Memorial Cup.
London Knights: William Moore, C, (2025) C- Grade
- The 6-3 165 lb William Moore was a top five prospect in the 2023 OHL Draft, but he fell because there were rumors that he would choose the United States National Team Developmental Program in the USHLL over the Ontario Hockey League in the OHL. William Moore is an A+ prospect, but the London Knights get an F grade for wasting a first round pick who didn't sign an OHL contract, so that averages out to a C- grade. William Moore is the first player in the 2023 OHL Draft who didn't sign his OHL contract.
North Bay Battalion: Carter Kostuch, LW, (2025) A+ Grade
- The 5-11 148 lb Carter Kostuch had 29 goals, 30 assists, and 59 points in 56 games with the Vaughan Kings AAA Under 16 Team in 2022-2023. Cart Kostuch also had 6 goals, 5 assists, and 11 points in 7 games during the 2023 OHL Cup getting the Vaughan Kings to the Championship game where they lost to the Toronto Jr. Canadians AAA Under 16 Team in the Championship round of the 2023 OHL Cup.
- Despite being only 16, Kostuch has the speed, explosion, burst, agility, skating, foot speed, playmaking, passing, sniping, wrist shot power, wrist shot accuracy, slap shot power, slap shot accuracy, vision, offensive awareness, defensive awareness, and hockey IQ to succeed in the OHL. He's got the skill set to succeed in the OHL, but it remains to be seen if that will end up carrying over to the NHL.
Ottawa 67's: Henry Brzustewicz, D, (2025) A+ Grade
- The Ottawa 67's got a really good two way defenseman to wrap up the first round of the 2023 OHL Draft. The 6-1 198 lb Henry Brzustewicz is the younger brother of OHL defenseman Hunter Brzustewicz who got drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the third round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. Henry Brzustewicz had 29 goals, 36 assists, and 65 points in 65 games with the North Jersey Avalanche AAA Under 16 Team in 2022-2023.
- Despite being only 16, Brzustewicz has the explosion, burst, agility, skating, foot speed, playmaking, passing, sniping, wrist shot power, wrist shot accuracy, slap shot power, slap shot accuracy, vision, offensive awareness, defensive awareness, and hockey IQ to succeed in the OHL. His brother Hunter told him to play his own game and stick to what he's good at defending, scoring, and playmaking. THe Ottawa 67's are a team that's consistently produced prospects for the NHL Draft, so it will be interesting to see how Henry Brzustewicz develop.
