2026 MLS Mock Draft: Final Mock 3 Rounds

Round 3

Chris Ransom follow @DraftUtopia Last Updated: December 18, 2025.

  1. D.C. United: Olayinka Ogunleye, D, Louisville

D.C. United drafts a center back in the third round. Olayinka Ogunleye is a great center back to stash and develop in the third round. Olayinka Ogunleye can play the 4 at sweeper or the 5 at center back.

The 6-4 190 lb Olayinka Ogunleye helped Louisville get off to a 5-0 start with 5 shutouts in the first five games. Olayinka Oguneye had 2 goals, 1 assist, 5 points, and helped Louisville record 7 shutouts in 2025.

  2. Atlanta United F.C.: Cristiano Bruletti, M, Indiana

Atlanta United F.C. grabs a player that can play the 6 at defensive midfielder. Cristiano Bruletti is the top prospect from Indiana in the 2026 MLS Super Draft.

The 5-11 150 lb Cristiano Bruletti played at South Carolina and Michigan State before transferring to Indiana. Cristiano Bruletti had 0 goals, 2 assists, 2 points, and helped Indiana record 4 shutouts in 2025.

  3. CF Montreal: Trevor Wright, D, Denver

CF Montreal gets a player that can play the 4 at sweeper and the 5 at center back. Trevor Wright was a player that I had a first round grade on last year, but he took a step back without his supporting cast on Denver.

The 6-3 200 lb Trevor Wright is a four year starter. He missed the 2023 season due to an injury, but has been fully healthy in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2024 starting every game. Trevor Wright played all 90 minutes in every game this season and he played 110 minutes in the double overtime game against Vermont. Trevor Wright actually mentored Jason Belloli when he first got to Denver before his injuries occured. Trevor Wright had 2 goals, 2 assists, 6 points, and helped Denver record 10 shutouts in 2024. Denver had double digit shutouts in 2022 and 2024 when the trio of Ian Smith, Jason Belloli, and Trevor Wright were all fully healthy. Trevor Wright had 2 goals, 3 assists, 7 points, and helped Denver record 6 shutouts without his supporting cast on the back line in 2025.

  4. Sporting Kansas City: Charlie Kosakoff, F, Washington

Sporting Kansas City drafts a forward. They get a guy that can play the 7 at right winger and the 9 at striker in the third round.

The 5-11 170 lb Charlie Kosakoff had 11 goals, 7 assists, and 29 points in 2025. Charlie Kosakoff helped Washington win their first College Cup in school history as the striker on the 2025 College Soccer National Champion Washington Huskies.

  5. Los Angeles Galaxy: Stefan Dobrijevic, F, Akron

The Los Angeles Galaxy get the best player available. Stefan Dobrijevic out of Akron was a big part of Akron's offense. Stefan Dobrijevic has the versatility to play the 7 at right winger, the 9 at striker, and the 11 at left winger.

The 6-2 162 lb Stefan Dobrijevec had 8 goals, 12 assists, and 24 points in 2025. Stefan Dobrijevec is one of the better wingers and more versatile forwards in the 2026 MLS Draft.

  6. F.C. Dallas: Lilian Ricol, F, Central Florida

F.C. Dallas gets a striker for depth. Lilian Ricol is one of the best strikers in the 2026 MLS Super Draft.

The 6-2 150 lb Lilian Ricol had 13 goals, 4 assists, and 30 points with Central Florida in 2025. Lilian Ricol scored goals for Central Florida while Clarence Awoudor complimented him as a playmaker while Awoudor created scoring opportunities for Ricol on the 2025 Sun Belt Champions.

  7. Minnesota United F.C.: Harvey Sarajian, M, Wake Forest

The 6-2 175 lb Harvey Sarjian plays the 10 at attacking midfielder. Harvey Sarajian had 4 goals, 6 assists, and 14 points winning Sun Belt Freshman Of The Year in 2024 at Georgia Southern. Harvey Sarajian had 2 goals, 2 assists, and 6 points at Wake Forest in 2025.

  8. New England Revoultion: Egor Akulov, D, Washington

New England drafts a center back for depth. Egor Akulov played the 4 at sweeper and the 5 at center back.

The 6-3 180 lb Egor Akulov had 1 goal, 2 assists, 4 points, and has helped Washington record 9 shutouts in 2025. Egor Akulov's defense on the back line complimentng last years second round pick Harrison Bertos is a big reason why Washington returned to the Final 4 in College Soccer by making the 2025 College Cup.

  9. Houston Dynamo F.C.: David Raphael, F, San Francisco

The 5-8 125 lb David Raphael might be the smallest player in the 2026 MLS Super Draft. David Raphael has the versatility to play the 7 at right winger, the 9 at striker, and the 11 at left winger. He's a talented forward on the San Francisco Dons that plays with a ton of heart despite his size.

David Raphael only had 10 points as a freshman in 2024. David Raphael had 8 goals, 4 assists, and 20 points as a sophomore in 2025. He was playing against 19-year-olds at the age of 14 in Haiti.

  10. Colorado Rapids: Keegan Oyler, D, Utah Valley

Colorado drafts a defender here. Kegan Oyler is one of the better outside backs in the 2026 MLS Draft.

The 6-0 165 lb Keegan Oyler plays both the 2 at left back and the 3 at right back. Colorado drafts Keegan Oyler as a right back for depth. Keegan Oyler had 0 goals, 8 assists, 8 points, and helped Utah Valley record 5 consecutive shutouts to start the season in 2025. He's a junior redshirt, so Colorado can let him return to college for a year before signing him to an MLS Next Contract in 2027.

  11. New York City F.C.: Tristan Viviani, D, San Diego State

New York City F.C. gets a left back for depth in the third round behind Kevin O'Tooole. Tristan Viviani is the top left back available to play the 2 at this point in the third round.

The 6-0 150 lb Tristan Viviani had 1 goal, 1 assist, and 3 points in each of his four seasons at San Diego State from his freshman year in 2022 to his senior year in 2025. Tristan Viviani also helped San Diego State record 3 shutouts this season in 2025.

  12. Los Angeles Galaxy: Seth Wilson, G, UNC Greensboro

The Los Angeles Galaxy draft a goalie for depth in the third round. UNC Greensboro goalie Seth Wilson plays the 1 at goalie and he faced more shots on volume then any other goalie in this draft. He faced 27 shots against Virginia in the round of 32 at the 2025 College Cup and won in penalty kicks making 10 saves in that game knocking the number two team in the 2025 College Cup out of the tournament. He faced 25 shots in a 1-1 tie against North Carolina State this years runner up. You can make an argument that Seth Wilson is the mentally toughest goalie of any goalie in this draft with the volume of shots he faced. That's probably one reason why Travis Clark mentioned Wilson as a sleeper when going through the goalie rankings on MLS Soccer.

The 6-5 190 lb Seth Wilson plays the 1 at goalie. Seth Wilson went 12-5-6 with 25 goals allowed, a 1.06 goals against average, a .702 save percentage, 7 shutouts, and faced 210 shots as a senior in 2025. Seth Wilson faced 25 shots against North Carolina State and 27 shots against Virginia. In those two games where he went 1-0-1 he faced 52 of his 210 shots on the season. Seth Wilson needs to become more consistent if he ever wants a shot at becoming an MLS Starter, but there is certainly enough to work with if your goal is to turn him into a quality backup goalie on an MLS team. The Los Angeles Galaxy could use another backup goalie to develop.

  13. Real Salt Lake: Arnold Matshazi, F, San Jose State

Real Salt Lake gets another forward. Arnold Matshazi was the leading goal scorer on San Jose State.

The 5-9 174 lb Arnold Matshazi had 12 goals, 1 assists, and 25 points in 2025. Arnold Matshazi played the 9 at striker at San Jose State, but he might end up moving to the 7 at right winger or the 11 at left winger due to his size once he gets to the MLS by being utilized in a depth role where he starts out in MLS Next and works his way up.

  14. Orlando City S.C.: Palmer Bank, D, Stanford

Orlando City S.C. drafts their left back of the future. Palmer Bank is the twin brother of 2024 third round pick Fletcher Bank.

The 6-0 185 lb Palmer Bank had 0 goals, 5 assists, 5 points, and helped Stanford get 6 shutouts playing the 2 at left back as a freshman redshirt in 2023. One of those shutouts came against the number one overall seed Marshall Thundering Herd in the Sweet 16 of the 2023 College Cup. Palmer Bank had 1 goal, 0 assists, 2 points, and helped Stanford record 7 shutouts in 2024. One of those shutouts was against number one ranked Ohio State in the Sweet 16 of the 2024 College Cup. Palmer Bank had 2 goals, 0 assists, 4 points, and helped Stanford record 7 shutouts once again as a junior redshirt in 2025.

  15. Portland Timbers: Niklas Soerensen, D, Pittsburgh

Portland gets a defender that can be a complimentary center back that the Portland Timbers can stash and develop. I had Niklas Soerensen as high as second overall at one point during his freshman season, but he regressed quite a bit as a sophomore. He does have a high ceiling, but he's super raw and probably needs a third season at Pittsburgh possibly a fourth season too before an MLS team decides whether to sign him or not.

The 6-3 165 lb Niklas Soerensen had 0 goals, 1 assist, 1 point, and helped Pittsburgh record 7 shutouts as a true freshman in 2024. Niklas Soerensen had 0 goals, 3 assists, 3 points, and helped Pittsburgh record 4 shutouts in 2025.

  16. San Diego FC: Noah Holmstrom, D, Georgia Southern

San Diego FC drafts a defensive midfielder for depth. Noah Holmstrom played the 5 at center back as a freshman at Georgia Southern in 2024, but switched to the 6 at defensive midfielder this past season.

The 6-2 186 lb Noah Holmstrom had 0 goals, 2 assists, 2 points, and helped Georgia Southern record 8 shutouts in 2025. Noah Holmstrom could develop into a defensive midfielder on San Diego FC down the road since their first overall pick Manu Duah made the transition from defensive midfielder to center back.

  17. Austin FC: Agustin Resch, D, Seton Hall

Austin F.C. gets a second center back in the third round. Agustin Resch is the biggest center back in the 2026 MLS Super Draft as he can play the 4 at sweeper or the 5 at center back.

The 6-6 205 lb Agustin Resch had 3 goals, 3 assists, 9 points, and helped Seton Hall record 8 shutouts in 2025. Agustin Resch accepted an invite to the 2025 MLS College Showcase.

  18. Houston Dynamo F.C.: Isaac Emojong, M, Utah Valley

Houston Dynamo F.C. drafts a central midfielder here. Isaac Emojong plays the 8 at central midfielder and the 11 at left winger on Utay Valley.

The 6-2 160 lb Isaac Emojong had 6 goals, 2 assists, and 12 points as a sophomore in 2025. A team can draft Isaac Emojong and let him develop in college for two more seasons.

  19. Columbus Crew: Nigel Prince, D, Northwestern

The Columbus Crew double dip at center back. The best player on the board at this point in the third round is Northwestern center back Nigel Prince.

The 6-2 185 lb Nigel Prince had 2 goals, 0 assists, 4 points, and helped Northwestern record 4 shutouts in 2025. Nigel Prince got injured in the Michigan State game where Northwestern got their fourth shutout, but he did not return after that. Nigel Prince has great size and speed for a center back, but the rest of his game is raw so someone will gamble on him hoping he blossoms once he gets to the pros.

  20. Nashville S.C.: Jackson Gilman, D, Pittsburgh

Nashville S.C. drafts a defender for depth to stash in develop. Jackson Gilman is a three year captain on the Pittsburgh Panthers. Jackson Gilman can play the 2 at left back, the 3 at right back, the 4 at sweeper, and the 5 at center back. Not only does he bring experience and leadership, he's also a guy that you can plug and play anywhere on the backline.

The 5-11 174 lb Jackson Gilman is the only player on the Pittsburgh Panthers 2022 College Cup team eligible for this draft. Jackson Gilman had 0 goals, 3 assists, and 3 points in 22 starts as a freshman playing 1,992 minutes as a true freshman in 2022. Jackson Gilman got promoted to team captain the following season posting 2 goals, 2 assists, 6 points, and 1,517 minutes as as sophomore in 2023. Jackson Gilman had 0 goal, 1 assist, 1 point, and played 1,522 minutes in 2024. Jackson Gilman had 0 goals, 1 assist, 1 point, and played 1,605 minutes as a senior in 2025. Jackson Gilman's three biggest strengths from watching him at Pittsburgh over the years are leadership, versatility, and stamina. Nashville S.C. can add someone like Jackson Gilman to their prospect pool in MLS Next.

  21. Seattle Sounders: Brayden Beason, F, San Francisco

Seattle gets a striker to stash and develop. Brayden Beason can play the 7 at right winger, the 8 at central midfielder, the 9 at striker, the 10 at attacking midfielder, and the 11 at left winger.

The 6-2 175 lb Brayden Beason had 7 goals, 1 assist, and 15 points in 2025. Brayden Beason accepted an invite to the 2025 MLS College Showcase.

  22. Charlotte FC: Jaylinn Mitchell, M, SMU

Charlotte FC gets a depth piece with this third round pick. Jaylin Mitchell played the 11 at left winger on SMU.

The 5-8 150 lb Jaylinn Mitchell had 0 goals, 6 assists, and 6 points on SMU, the evetual ACC Champions in 2025. Jaylin Mitchell was the other player outside of Charles-Emile Brunet that got invited to the 2025 MLS College Showcase.

  23. Minnesota United F.C.: Will Cleary, M, Stanford

Minnesota United F.C. drafts a defensive midfielder that can play the 6 after drafting a striker and central midfielder with their first two picks. The best defensive midfielder on the board is Stanford defensive midfielder Will Cleary.

The 6-2 175 lb Will Cleary had 4 goals, 3 assists, 7 points, and helped Stanford record 7 shutouts in 2025. Stanford was the top ranked team in college soccer before a rough road loss to California at the end of the year.

  24. LAFC: Ashton Kamdem, D, Akron

LAFC gets a left back for depth. Ashton Kamdem plays the 2 at left back on Akron as he is the main reinforcement that goalie Mitch Budler had on Akron's back line this year.

The 5-10 159 lb Ashton Kamdem had 0 goals, 5 assists, 5 points, and helped Akron record 13 shutouts in 2025. Ashton Kamdem will get picked, but the big question is where. He's fast and technically sound as a defender despite his size.

  25. D.C. United: Wyatt Lewis, M, Notre Dame

D.C. United wraps up the 2026 MLS Super Draft with a midfielder. Wyatt Lewis makes a lot of sense here.

The 6-1 170 lb Wyatt Lewis had 1 goal, 2 assists, and 4 points for Notre Dame in 2026. Wyatt Lewis did get invited to the 2025 MLS College Showcase.

  26. Colorado Rapids: Connor Lofy, M, Washington

Colorado drafts a 8 at central midfielder for depth. Connor Lofy is the top central midfielder left on the board in the third round.

The 6-0 155 lb Connor Lofy had 4 goals, 2 assists, 10 points, and helped Washington record 9 shutouts in 2025. Connor Lofy is another piece on the National champion Washington Huskies team that won the 2025 College Cup.

  27. New York City F.C.: Misei Yoshizawa, M, Clemson

New York City F.C. drafts a midfielder for depth in the third round. Misei Yoshizawa has the versatility to play the 7 at right winger, the 8 at central midfielder, the 9 at striker, the 10 at attacking midfielder, and the 11 at left winger.

The 5-8 150 lb Misei Yoshizawa had 6 goals, 4 assists, and 16 points in 2025. Clemson lined him up at left winger, striker, and attacking midfielder, but he can be used at any of the five positions I described. New York City F.C. does need an attacking midfielder, but hasn't been able to get one until this pick with most of the quality attacking midfielders either coming off the board early or not being eligible for the MLS SuperDraft.

  28. San Diego FC: Jeremy Sharp, D, St. John's

San Diego FC gets a right back for depth with Hamady Diop gone getting a quality backup behind Ian Pilcher. St. John's right back Jeremy Sharp, who spent his first three years at Michigan State before transferring to St. John's is the top defender that can play the 3 at right back on the board.

The 5-11 160 lb Jeremy Sharp had 1 goal, 5 assists, 7 points, and helped St John's record 5 shutouts in 2025. Jeremy Sharp was the best player on a St. John's team that underachieved this season.

  29. Vancouver Whitecaps: Tre Wright, D, UCLA

Vancouver gets another defender for depth. Tre Wright was a big part of UCLA's defense and was the final player that's not a freshman at the 2025 MLS College Showcase.

The 6-2 180 lb Tre Wright had 0 goals, 3 assists, 3 points, and helped UCLA record 8 shutouts in 2025. Tre Wright kept Junior Diouf in check during regulation and overtime despite losing that tournament game against Grand Canyon in penalty kicks.

  30. Inter Miami C.F.: Ethan Sassine, F, Dayton

Inter Miami C.F. gets a forward for depth. Ethan Sassine is a player that could be selected for Dayton with one of the final picks in the 2026 MLS Super Draft.

The 5-11 156 lb Ethan Sassine had 8 goals, 3 assists, and 19 points as the Dayton Flyers striker in 2025. Inter Miami C.F. drafts Ethan Sassine in the third round hoping he's a solution at right winger.
