Derrick Rose Out For Remainder Of Season With Torn Meniscus
New York Knicks point guard Derrick Rose was ruled out for the season with a torn meniscus injury. I'm not sure why the Knicks still started him after the team was already eliminated from the 2017 NBA Playoffs.
The Knicks chose to rest Carmelo Anthony, but not point guard Derrick Rose or power forward Kristaps Porzingis. That was an irresponsible decision by the Knicks as Rose got injured on Wednesday versus the Detroit Pistons, but was not officially rueld out for the season until Sunday.
The New York Knicks are probably going to look for a point guard in the 2017 NBA Draft like De'Aaron Fox out of Kentucky to replace Derrick Rose at 8. The Knicks will likely let Rose test Free Agency in 2017 and are hoping they can find an upgrade over Rose in Free Agency or the 2017 NBA Draft.
