2025 NBA Mock Draft: Final Mock 2 Rounds

Round 2

Chris Ransom follow @DraftUtopia Last Updated: June 25, 2025.

  1. Minnesota Timberwolves: Grant Nelson, PF, Alabama

Minnesota acquired the Utah Jazz 2025 second round pick back near the 2023 NBA Trade Deadline when the Utah Jazz, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Los Angeles Lakers made a three team trade. The Utah Jazz got Damian Jones, Juan Toscano-Anderson, Russell Westbrook, and the Los Angeles Lakers 2027 first round d pick. Minnesota got Nickeil Alexander-Walker, the seventeenth pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, Mike Conley Jr., a 2024 second round pick which was traded to get Connecticut shooting guard Cam Spencer, this pick, and the Utah Jazz 2026 second round pick. The Los Angeles Lakers got Malik Beasley, D'Angelo Russell, and Jarredd Vanderbilt in this three team trade. That's why Minnesota kicks off the second round of the 2025 NBA Draft.

Minnesota gets a power forward for depth with Julius Randle in a contract year. Alabama power forward Grant Nelson is the best power forward on the board.

The 6-10 229 lb Grant Nelson had 11.5 points per gmae, 7.6 rebounds per game, 1.6 assists per game, 1.2 blocks per game, a 52.2% field goal percentage, a 25.8% three point percentage, and a 66.7% free throw percentage as a senior in 2024-2025. Grant Nelson can hit shots from short range, medium rnage, or long range. He's also a good blocker and rebounder when high pointing the basketball.

  2. Boston Celtics: Hansen Yang, C, Qingdao Eagles

The Brooklyn Nets originally got the Washington Wizards 2025 second round pick back in 2021 when Kentavious Caldwell-Pope got traded to the Washington Wizards. Brooklyn later traded this pick ot the Detroit Pistons when the Brookyn Nets traded DeAndre Jordan to the Detroit Pistons. Detroit traded the Washington Wizards 2025 second round pick which they got in the DeAndre Jordan trade back in September 2021 before trading this pick to the Boston Celtics to move up for Houston point guard Marcus Sasser in the 2023 NBA Draft. That's how the Boston Celtics got this second round pick.

Boston gets a center for depth to develop behind Kristaps Porzingis. Hansen Yang is a going to be a steal if he falls to the second round of the 2025 NBA Draft.

The 7-1 253 lb Hansen Yang had 14.7 points per game, 10.9 rebounds per game, 3.8 assists per game, 2.2 blocks per game, a 54.8% field goal percentage, a 21.9% three point percentage, and a 62.4% free throw percentage in 2023-2024. Hansen Yang had 16.2 points pergame, 10 rebounds per game, 2.8 assists per game, 2.7 blocks per game, a 59.5% field goal percentage, a 28.6% three point percentage, and a 67.7% free throw percentage in 2024-2025.

Hansen Yang can shoot shots from short range, medium range, or long range. Hansen Yang can pass the basketball in a variety of ways with some of his teammates saying he passes like a point guard. Hansen Yang can defend the 1 at point guard, the 2 at shooting guard, the 3 at small forward, the 4 at power forward, and the 5 at center.

  3. Charlotte Hornets: Tyrese Proctor, PG, Duke

The 6-5 185 lb Tyrese Proctor would make a good backup point guard to LaMelo Ball. I considered putting Tyrese Proctor in the first round of my mock, but he fell to the second round.

Tyrese Proctor had 12.4 points per game, 3 rebunds per game, 2.2 assists per game, a 45.2% field goal percentage, a 40.5% three point percentage, and a 68% free throw percentage as a junior in 2024-2025. Tyrese Proctor came back to Duke after a promising sophomore season.

Tyrese Proctor can hit shots from short range, medium range, and long range. Tyrese Proctor has the passing of a point guard. Tyrese Proctor can defend the 1 at point guard.

  4. Charlotte Hornets: Adou Thiero, SF, Arkansas

The New Orleans Pelicans traded their 2025 second round pick to Memphis back when the New Orleans Pelicans, Memphis Grizzlies, and Charlotte Hornets made a three team trade in 2021. Memphis would trade that New Orleans Pelicans 2025 second round pick to the Phoenix Suns for Isiaah Todd, a 2024 first round pick swap, and a 2030 first round pick swap. Phoenix got this pick, a 2028 second round pick from the Memphis Grizzlies, and a 2029 second round pick. Phoenix gave the San Antonio Spurs this pick in the Summer of 2023 when trading for Cameron Payne. San Antonio gave the Charlotte Hornets the New Orleans Pelicans second round pick for taking on Devonte' Graham's contract.

Adou Thiero was born in Pittsburgh, PA and went to Quaker Valley High School and went to Kentucky for two years to play with John Calipari before going to Arkansas with John Calipari this past season. Adbou Thiero finally broke out at Arkansas is a projected second round pick.

The 6-6 218 lb Adou Thiero had 15.1 points per game, 5.8 rebounds per game, 1.9 assists per game, 1.6 steals per game, a 54.5% field goal percentage, a 25.6% three point percentage, and a 68.6% free throw percentage as a junior in 2024-2025. Adou Theiro played in 72 games and started 45 games during his three years in the SEC.

Adou Thiero can make shots from short range, medium range, and long range. Very reliable dunker and rebounder with a consistent habit of attacking the glass. He can pass the ball to teammates like a point guard and passes effectively consistently. He doesn't make those shots consistently which is why he would play a backup small forward role on the NBA team that drafts him.

  5. Philadelphia 76ers: Chaz Lanier, SG, Tennessee

Philadelphia gets a shooting guard for depth. Chaz Lanier is a good depth player that you can add at shooting guard as Chaz Lanier began his career at North Florida before transferring to Tennessee this past season.

The 6-3 205 lb Chaz Lanier had 19.7 points per game, 4.8 rebounds per game, 1.8 assists per game, a 51% field goal percentage, a 44% three point percentage, and a 88% free throw percentage as a junior redshirt at North Florida in 2023-2024. Chaz Lanier had 18 points per game, 3.9 rebounds per game, 1.1 assists per game, a 43.1% field goal percentage, a 39.5%^three point perentage, and a 75.8% free throw percentage as a senior at Tennessee in 2024-2025.

Chaz Lanier can make shots from short range, medium range, and long range. He is a great passer when getting teammates involved. He is good at rebounding when the basketball comes his way.

  6. Brooklyn Nets: Yanic Konan Niederhauser, C, Penn State

Brooklyn gets a center for depth. Yanic Konan Niederhauser makes a lot of sense for Brooklyn in the second round.

The 6-11 242 lb Yanic Konan Niederhauser had 12.9 points per game, 6.3 rebounds per game, 2.3 blocks per game, 0.8 assists per game, 61.1% field goal percentage, a 9.1% three point percentage, and a 66.4% free throw percentage as a senior at Penn State in 2024-2025. Yanic Konan Niederhauser began his career at Northern Illinois before transferring to Penn State as a senior.

Yanic Konan Niederhauser is great with shooting from short range and dunking. He really doesn't bring much else to the table. If he's being drafted as a backup center I can see him working out in that role.

  7. Detroit Pistons: Alex Toohey, SF, Syndey Kings

Toronto originally sent their 2025 second round pick to the San Antonio Spurs in the Jakob Poeltl trade that sent the San Antonio Spurs center to the Toronto Raptors. San Antonio sent this pick to the Dallas Mavericks in a three team trade that involved the Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, and San Antonio Spurs with this pick going to Dallas in the Grant Williams trade that took place in the Summer before the 2024 NBA Finals where the Boston Cetlics defeated the Dallas Mavericks. The Dallas Mavericks traded Tim Hardaway Jr. this pick, a 2028 second round pick from the Miami Heat, and their 2028 second round pick to the Detroit Pistons, which is how the Detroit Pistons got this second round pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

Detroit has their starting five with Cade Cunningham their first pick in the 2021 NBA Draft at point guard, Jaden Ivey at shooting guard the fifth pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, Ausar Thompson the fifth pick in the 2023 NBA Draft at small forward, Tobias Harris at power forward, and Jalen Duren a second 2022 first round pick at center. Detroit also has Marcus Sasser as a backup point guard, Malik Beasley as a backup shooting guard, Ron Holland II, their 2024 first round pick as a backup small forward, Simone Fontecchio as a backup power forward, Isaiah Stewart as a backup center, and Tim Hardaway Jr. as a third string shooting guard. Detroit has a strong starting five and can go with the best player available regardless of need.

The 6-7 222 lb Alex Toohey had 10.6 points per game, 4 rebounds per game, 1.4 steals per game, 1.3 assists per game, a 44.9% field goal percentage, a 31% three point percentage, and a 72.6^ free throw percentage on the Sydney Kings in 2024-2025. Alex Toohey can make shots from short range, medium range, and long range. He's also great at stealing the basketball and blocking shots. There is enough there for Alex Toohey to be a bench player on the Detroit Pistons and a G League player at the very worst.

  8. San Antonio Spurs: Amari Williams, C, Kentucky

San Antonio gets a center for depth behind Victor Wembenyama. Amari Williams is a great fit here in the second round.

The 7-0 262 lb Amari Williams had 10.9 points per game, 8.5 rebounds per game, 3.2 assists per game, 1.2 blocks per game, a 56.1% field goal percentage, a 25% three point percentage, and a 62.3% three point percentage in 2024-2025. Amari Williams entered the new year as someone with an undrafted grade after spending four years at Drexler, but when he transferred to Kentucky he finally did enough to earn a second round grade.

Amari Williams can make short range shots by shooting or dunking the basketball. He's a good passer too excelling as a facilitator.

Amari Williams can defend the 1 at point guard, the 2 at shooting guard, the 3 at small forward, the 4 at power forward, and the 5 at center. He also does a great job high pointing the basketball when getting rebounds. Unfortunately, he has trouble hitting medium range and long range shots which will limit him to a bench player in the NBA.

  9. Toronto Raptors: Koby Brea, SG, Kentucky

Portland sent their 2025 second round pick to the Sacramento Kings back in 2020 before Covid-19 to the Sacramento Kings for Trevor Ariza. Sacramento later traded Davion Mitchell, their 2021 first round pick out of Baylor, Aleksandar, Vezenkov, the draft rights Jamal Shead who was drafted forty fifth overall, and this pick that originally belonged to the Portland Trail Blazers for Jalen McDaniels during day 2 of the 2024 NBA Draft.

Koby Brea, a former Dayton Flyer that transferred to Kentucky this past season, would push Ochai Agbaji, the former Cleveland Cavaliers first round pick for the backup shooting guard job. If he doesn't win that job he can always start out in the NBA G-League and get an opportunity when it presents itself.

The 6-5 215 lb Koby Brea had 11.6 points per game, 3.2 rebounds per game, 1.3 assists per game, a 47% field goal percentage, a 43.5% three point percentage, and a 91.4% free throw percentage as a senior at Kentucky in 2024-2025. Koby Brea went 21/30 shooting at the 2025 NBA Combine.

Koby Brea can hit shots from short range, medium range, and long range, but doesn't bring much else to the table outside of his shooting making him an ideal bench player. He made 47% of three pointers at Kentucky's Pro Day.

  10. New Orleans Pelicans: Noah Penda, SF, Le Mans Sarthe Basket

Phoenix sent Chris Paul, Landry Shamet, the draft rights to Bilal Coulibaly,, second round picks from 2024-2027, a 2030 second round pick, rights to swap first round picks in 2024, 2026, 2028, and 2030 in exchage for Bradley Beal, Jordan Goodwin, adn Isaiah Todd. Indiana also acquired the rights to Jarace Walker in this three team trade. The Washington Wizards traded shooting guard Jordan Poole and this pick to the New Orleans Pelicans for C.J. McCollum whose in the final year of his contract.

New Orleans gets a small forward for depth. Noah Penda is an International player that some have in the late first round that New Orleans can gamble on in the second round.

The 6-7 242 lb Noah Penda had 10.2 points per game, 5.1 rebounds per game, 2.6 assists per game, 1.4 steals per game, a a 44% field goal percentage, a 30.4% three point percentage, and a 53.4% free throw percentage on Le Mans Sarthe Basket in 2024-2025. Noah Penda can make shots from short range, medium range, and long range. He is a viable replacement for Saddiq Bey who got traed to Washington Wizards for this pick.

  11. Golden State Warriors: Ben Saraf, PG, Ratiopharm Ulm

The Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns, and Indiana Pacers made a three team trade back in 2019 where the Miami Heat got the draft rights to KZ Okpaia. The Indiana Pacers got T.J. Warren, the Phoenix Suns 2022 second round pick which ended up being Hugo Besson, the Mr. Irrelevant in the 2022 NBA Draft, a 2025 second round pick from the Miami Heat, and a 2026 second round pick from the Miami Heat. Indiana traded Edmond Summer and the Miami Heat's 2025 second round pick to the Brooklyn Nets for the draft rights to Juan Pablo Vaulet. The Golden State Warriors got this Miami Heat second round pick from the Brooklyn Nes in the Dennis Schroder trade. Brooklyn got two second round picks from the Atlanta Hawks that the Golden State Warriors had in addition to Reece Beekman, De'Anthony Melton, and the Golden State Warriors 2029 second round pick. Golden State did not get this pick from Miami in the Jimmy Butler trade. Regardless, this is the Golden State Warriors only pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

The Golden State Warriors have Steph Curry their 2009 first round pick at point guard, Brandin Podziemski their 2023 first round pick at shooting guard, Jimmy Butler at small forward, Jonathan Kuminga their 2021 first round pick made the transition from small forward to power forward, and Draymond Green rounds out their starting five at center. Buddy Hield is an excellent sixth man who can start at shooting guard when Podziemski is injured. Jonathan Kuminga is an RFA, but the other four starters plus Golden State's sixth man are under contract until 2027.

Golen State is looking at a few shooting guards like Brice Williams on Nebraska and Tamar Bates on Missouri. I opted for Ben Saraf who some have as a first round prospect as a successor to Steph Curry.

The 6-6 199 lb Ben Saraf had 12.8 points per game, 4.6 assists per game, 2.2 rebounds per game, 1.3 steals per game, a 41.9% field goal percentage, a 22.2% three point percentage, and a 78% free throw percentage on Ratiopharm Ulm. Ben Saraf was teammates with first round prospect Noah Essengue on Ratiopharm Ulm.

Ben Saraf can hit shots from short range, medium range, and long range. This pick is a steal in the second round since most have a late first on Ben Saraf and he would be learning under Steph Curry for a few years before potentially taking over as Golden State's starting point guard.

  12. Sacramento Kings: Javon Small, PG, West Virginia

The Chicago Bulls traded their 2025 second round pick to the San Antonio Spurs in the DeMar DeRozan trade that sent DeMar DeRozan to the CHicago Bulls back in 2021. San Antonio sent the Chicago Bulls 2025 second round pick to the Sacramento Kings in the three team trade that involved the Chicago Bulls, San Antonio Spurs, and Sacramento Kings back in February as this trade was the trae that allowed Sacramento to get Zach LeVine along with this pick, Chicago to get Kevin Huerter and Sacramento's second round pick at 45, and San Antonio got De'Aaron Fox.

The Sacramento Kings have Malik Monk at point guard, Zach Levine at shooting guard, DeMar DeRozan at small foward, Keegan Murray at power forward, and Domantas Sabonis at center. Sacramento gets a point guard for depth since Malik Monk is more of a shooting guard than a point guard.

The 6-1 190 lb Javon Small had 18.6 points per game, 5.6 assists per game, 4.1 rebounds per game, 1.5 steals per game, a 41.8% field goal percentage, a 35.3% three point percentage, and a 88% free throw percentage. Javon Small had a 40.5 inch vertical at the 2025 NBA Combine before proceeding to make 46 consecutive three point shots at his Pro Day.

Javon Small can shoot from short range, medium range, and long range. He's also quite the playmaker with a 35% percent assist rate.

  13. Utah Jazz: Cedric Coward, SG, Washington State

The Utah Jazz acquired the Dallas Mavericks 2025 second round pick and Los Angeles Lakers 2023 first round selection Jalen Hood-Schifino in their three team trade with the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers. This was the same trade that sent Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers and Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks. Utah kept the Dallas Mavericks second round pick, but Jalen Hood-Schifino is now on the Philadephia 76ers. There were other variables in this trade, but i mentioned the key components of this three team trade.

Utah gets a shooting guard for depth behind Keyonte George their 2023 first round pick. Cedric Coward is considered a first round prospect and he can potentially replace Jordan Clarkson by the 2026 NBA Trade Deadline if Clarkson is moved or by 2026 after one year in the NBA G-League.

The 6-5 214 lb Cedric Coward had 17.7 points per game, 7 rebounds per game, 3.7 assists per game, 1.7 blocks per game, a 55.7% field goal percentage, a 40% three point percentage, and a 83.9% free throw percentage as a senior at Washington State in 6 games before a season ending injury. Most have a first round grade on Cedric Coward, but I can see him slipping to the second round of the 2025 NBA Draft with his medical concerns.

Cedric Coward can shoot from short range, medium range, or long range. He can pass like a point guard as he's considered a playmaker. Cedric Coward can defend the 1 at point guard the 2 at shooting guard, the 3 at small forward, and the 4 at power forward. Cedric Coward has a first round grade for a reason and if wasn't for his injury, I'd probably have him going much higher than where I have him projected.

  14. Oklahoma City Thunder: Will Riley, SG, Illinois

Atlanta traded this 2025 second round pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder back in 2020 for Danilo Gallinari. Sam Presti managed to lock this draft pick up in a vault for four and a half years. The big question is whether Presti moves or keeps this pick that he's stashed for nearly half of a decade.

Oklahoma City gets a shooting guard for depth here in the second round. Will Riley is one player that has a late first round grade in some NBA mock drafts.

The 6-8 185 lb Will Riley had 12.6 points per game, 4.1 rebounds per game, 2.2 assists per game, a 43.2% field goal percentage, a 32.6% three point percenntage, and a 72.4% free throw percentage as a freshman at Illinois in 2024-2025. If he adds some muscle and maintains his speed, he could play small forward in addition to shooting guard.

Will Riley can shoot from short range, medium range, and long range. He can shoot at an NBA level, but his decision making as a passer will need to improve since most of his film showcased his shooting and his turnovers despite a promising freshman season where some have him going in the late first round.

  15. Chicago Bulls: Tamar Bates, SG, Missouri

Tamar Bates played shooting guard at Missouri. He might have the size of a point guard in the NBA. He's not a combo guard, but mainly a shooting guard. Tamar Bates would be a backup shooting guard on the NBA team that drafts him.

The 6-3 191 lb Tamar Bates had 13.3 points per game, 2.6 rebounds per game, 1.3 steals per game, 1 assist per game, a 50.8% field goal percentage, a 39.7% three point percentage, and a 94.6% free throw percentage as a senior at Missouri in 2024-2025. Tamar Bates improved his speed and dribbling at his Pro Day following the 2025 NBA Combine.

Tamar Bates from shortrange, medium range, and long range. He is fast and dribbles the basketball effectively.

  16. Orlando Magic: Tomislav Ivisic, C, Illinois

Orlando gets a center for depth. Tomislav Ivisic is a nice addition here.

The 7-0 230 lb Tomislav Ivisic had 13 points per game, 7.7 rebounds per game, 2.3 assists per game, 1.2 blocks per game, a 49.2% field goal percentage, a 35.7% three point percentage, and a 75% free throw percentage as a sophomore at Illinois in 2024-2025. His twin brother Zvonimir Ivisic plays at Arkansas and is also in this draft. Tomislav is the better scorer, but Zvonimir is the better athlete. Both twins could get drafted in the second round, but I think Tomislav has the better chance to get drafted.

Tomislav Ivisic can shoot from short range, medium range, and long range. He passes like a point guard and is known for his rebounding as well as his playmaking as a passer.

  17. Milwaukee Bucks: John Tonje, SG, Wisconsin

The Detroit Pistons sent Marvin Bagley III, Isaiah Livers, theri 2025 second round pick, and their 2026 second round pick to the Washington Wizards back in January of 2024 for Danilo Gallinari. Washington sent the Detroit Pistons 2025 second round pick to the Milwaukee Bucks when trading forward Kyle Kuzma for forward Khris Middleton.

The Milwaukee Bucks have Damian Lillard at point guard, Kyle Kuzma at small forward, and Giannis Antetokounmpo at power forward. There were rumors about trading Giannis, but those got shut down with Giannis open to returning to Milwaukee. Milwaukee needs a shooting guard and center to round out their starting five, but only has one pick in this years NBA Draft.

Wisconsin shooting guard John Tonje gets to stay in the state of Wisconsin. This is one scenario where John Tonje could end up being a day 1 starter.

The 6-4 211 lb John Tonje had 19.6 points per game, 5.3 rebounds per game, 1.8 assists per game, a 46.5% field goal percentage, a 38.8% three point percentage, and a 90.9% free throw percentage as a senior at Wisconsin in 2024-2025. John Tonje showcased his shooting ability at the 2025 NBA Combine.

John Tonje can make shots from short range, medium range, and long range. He is one of the oldest players in the 2025 NBA Draft at 24-years-old.

  18. Memphis Grizzlies: Joan Beringer, C, KK Cedevita Olimpija

Golden State moved this 2025 second round pick all the way back in July of 2019 when trading Kevin Durant to the Brooklyn Nets as Golden State got D'Angelo Russell in a sign in trade, Shabazz Napier, and Treveon Graham. The Brooklyn Nets got Kevin Durant and Golden State's 2025 second round pick. Washington acquired the Golden State Warriors 2025 second round pick in the five team trade that involved Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. Washington sent Golden State's 2025 second round pick to the Memphis Grizzlies in the Marvin Bagley III, Johnnnyy Davis trade for Colby Jones, Alex Len, Marcus Smart, and the Memphis Grizzlies 2025 first round pick.

The 6-11 234 lb Joan Beringer provides the Memphis Grizzlies depth behind Zach Edey last years first round pick after only averaging 5.4 points per game 4.9 rebounds per game, and 1.4 blocks per game.

Joan Beringer can dunk and hit shots from short range. Joan Beringer can defend the 1 at point guard, the 2 at shooting guard, the 3 at small forward, the 4 at power forward, and the 5 at center.

  19. Cleveland Cavaliers: Vladislav Goldin, PF, Michigan

The Cleveland Cavaliers got the Milwaukee Bucks 2025 second round pick all the way back in ovember of 2020 when Milwaukee acquired the rights to Ilkan Karamn an unsigned 2012 second round pick drafted fifty seventh overall. The Cleveland Cavaliers have kept this pick for five years despite trading their first round pick away to win now for D'Andre Hunter the Atlanta Hawks 2019 first round pick.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have Darius Garland their 2019 first round pick drafted fifth overall in 2019, Donovan Mitchell at shooting gaurd, D'Andre Hunter at small foward, Evan Mobley their 2021 first round pick can play power forward or center, but he plays power forward, and Jarrett Allen plays center. Cleveland has the luxury of drafting for depth here.

The 7-0 253 lb Vladlsav Goldin had 16.6 points per game, 7 rebounds per game, 1.4 blocks per game, 1.1 assists per game, a 60.7% field goal percentage, a 33.3% three point percentage, and a 73.1% free throw percetage at Michigan as a senior in 2024-225. Vladislav Golden played power forward at Michigan, but has the size of a center meaning he can play either the 4 or the 5 as a big for depth.

Vladislav Goldin can hit shots from short range, medium range, and long range. He can rebound and block effectively. Vladislav Goldin can defend the 1 at point guard, the 2 at shooting guard, the 3 at small forward, the 4 at power forward, and the 5 at center.

  20. New York Knicks: Ian Schieffelin, PF, Clemson

The Memphis Grizzlies traded this 2025 second round pick to the Boston Celtics all the way back in 2020. Boston sent this pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Moses Brown, Al Horford, and a 2023 second round pick while the Oklahoma City Thunder got Kemba Walker, the Boston Celtics 2021 first round pick, and this pick in the second round of the 2025 NBA Draft. If you are wondering what Sam Presti did with that 2021 first round pick from the Boston Celtics, he traded that selection to the Houston Rockets, who took International center Alperen Sengun who was in my top 10 despite falling in the 2021 NBA Draft. This was a rare instance where trading a first round pick blew up in Sam Presti's face. Oklahoma City sent the Memphis Grizzlies 2025 second round pick to the New York Knicks when trading for the draft rights to Dillon Jones in the 2024 NBA Draft. This is the New York Knicks only pick in the 2025 NBA Draft with the NBA stripping the New York Knicks of the other second round pick due to a tampering violation.

The New York Knicks have Jalen Brunson at point guard, Mikal Bridges at shooting guard, OJ Anunoby at small forward, Josh Hart at power forward, and Karl-Anthony Towns at center. It feels like there are three wings and a power forward playing center in the New York Knicks starting five. This starting five scores enough to win, but depth is needed as none of New York's backups averaged 10 points per game off the bench.

The 6-8 240 lb Ian Schieffelin had 12.4 points per game, 9.4 rebounds per game, 2.7 assists per game, a 49.5% fiel goal percentage, a 34.1% three point percentage, and a 74.1% free throw percentage as a senior in 2024-2025. Ian Schieffelin got Clemson to the Elite 8 in his junior year.

Ian Schieffelin can shoot from short range, medium range, and long range. Ian Schieffelin can defend the 1 at point guard, the 2 at shooting guard, the 3 at small forward, the 4 at power forward, and the 5 at center.

  21. Los Angeles Clippers: Brice Williams, SG, Nebraska

The Minnesota Timberwolves traded this 2025 second round pick to the Houston Rockets back in 2022 when both the Timberwolves and Rockets were still rebuilding. Houston sent Minnesota's 2025 second round pick to the Atlanta Hawks in the Dillon Brooks trade with Houston, Atlanta, the Los Angeles Clippers, and Memphis Grizzlies. Atlanta sent the Minnesota Timberwolves 2025 second round pick to the Los Angeles Clippers if the Clippers took on Bogdan Bogdanovic's contract.

The Los Angeles Clippers get a shooting guard for depth. Brice Williams makes a lot of sense here.

The 6-5 205 lb Brice Williams had 20.4 points per game, 4.1 rebounds per game, 2.9 assists per game, 1.1 steals per game, a 47.1% field goal percentage, a 37% three point percentage, and a 88.3% free throw percentage as a senior in 2024-2025. Brice Williams is one of the better seniors in this draft.

Brice Williams can hit shots from short range, medium range, or long range. He's mainly a shooter, but he will get points off the bench for the NBA team that drafts him and could develop into a starting shooting guard on an NBA team.

  22. Phoenix Suns: Dink Pate, SF, Capitanes de Ciudad de Mexico

The Denver Nuggets sent their 2025 second round pick to Minnesota. Minnesota gave Charlotte this pick for Julius Randle back in 2024. The Charlotte Hornets sent the Denver Nuggest 2025 second round pick to the Phoenix Suns for Josh Okogie.

Phoenix gets a small forward for depth after losing Kevin Durant. Dink Pate makes a lot of sense here.

The 6-6 200 lb Dink Pate had 10.1 points per game, 5.1 rebounds per game, 2.1 assists per game, a 40.8% fieldgoal percentage, a 26.1% three point ptercentage, and a 58.1% free throw percentage on Capitanes de Ciudad de Mexico in 2024-2025. Dink Pate is the only player from the NBA G-League in this draft thanks to Ignite no longer existing in the NBA G-League.

Dink Pate can shoot from short range, medium range, and long range. He's best shooting three pointers after a catch and shoot with shooting being Dink Pate's biggest strength.

  23. Utah Jazz: Jalon Moore, SF, Oklahoma

The Los Angeles Clippers traded this second round pick to the Los Angeles Lakers in a four team trade where the Clippers got Bones Hyland. The Lakers got Mo Bamba Davon Reed, the Los Angeles Clippers 2024 second round pick which was used to select Bronny James, the son of LeBron James. The Denver Nuggets got Thomas Bryant. The Orlando Magic got Patrick Beverly. The Los Angeles Lakers sent this second round pick to the Utah Jazz. Both the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers sent the Utah Jazz a 2025 second round pick in the Luka Doncic trade.

Utah gets a small forward for depth. Jalon Moore makes a lot of sense here.

The 6-6 215 lb Jalon Moore had 15.9 points per game, 5.8 rebounds per game, 0.6 assists per game, a 47.1% field goal percentage, a 38.1% three point percentage, and a 84% free throw percentage at Oklahoma in 2024-2025. He tore his ACL a few days before the draft in a pre draft workout.

Jalon Moore can shoot from short range, medium range, and long range. He needs to improve defensively, and he could get drafted in the late second round if a team looks past his medicals.

  24. Indiana Pacers: Viktor Lakhin, C, Clemson

Indiana has Tyrese Halliburton at point guard, Andrew Nembhard their 2022 second round pick at shooting guard, Aaron Nesmith a 2020 first round pick at small forward, Pascal Siakam at power forward, Myles Turner their 2015 first round pick at center set to be a UFA. T.J. McConnell is the backup point guard, Ben Sheppard a 2023 first round pick as the backup shooting guard, Bennedict Mathurin a 2022 first round pick as the backup small forward, Obi Toppin as the backup power forward, and Isaiah Jackson as the backup center. Indiana also has Jarace Walker a 2023 first round pick as a third string power forward. Indiana will need a center if Myles Turner leaves, but reports already indicate that Indiana will re-sign Myles Turner, but I'm still mocking a center to Indiana here.

The 6-11 245 lb Viktor Lakhin had 11.4 points per game, 6.4 rebounds per game, 1.5 assists per game, 1.5 blocks per game, 1 steal per game, a 50.7% field goal percentage, a 37.5% three point percentage, and a 69.6% free throw percentage as a senior in 2024-2025.

Viktor Lakhin can make shots from short range, medium range, and long range. Viktor Lakhin can defend the 1 at point guard, the 2 at shooting guard, the 3 at small forward, the 4 at power forward, and the 5 at center.

  25. Los Angeles Lakers: Rocco Zikarsky, C, Brisbane

The Los Angeles Lakers have Luka Doncic at point guard, Austin Reaves at shooitng guard, Rui Hachimura at small forward, and LeBron James at power forward. A center to round out this starting five is needed.

The 7-3 225 lb Rocco Zikarsky is a great defender. He's just got to develop offensively as he has averaged under 5 points per game despite improving while only playing 12 mintues off the bench. All of the centers that averaged 10 points per game are gone, but Rocco Zikarsky was a lottery pick for me back in the Fall.

Rocco Zikarsky can shot from short range, medium range, and long range despite limited minutes which was the big thing he needed to work on in the Fall this past season in 2024-2025. Rocco Zikarsky can defend the 1 at point guard, the 2 at shooting guard, the 3 at small forward, the 4 at power forward, and the 5 at center.

The Los Angeles Lakers do need a long-term center. The Los Angeles Lakers will probably trade for a stop gap at center while drafting a long-term center with elite traits like Rocco Zikarsky.

  26. Memphis Grizzlies: Michael Ruzic, PF, Joventut

Houston sent Victor Oladipo and a 2025 second round pick to the Memphis Grizzlies for center Steven Adams. Memphis got a nice return with that trade.

The 6-10 223 lb Michael Ruzic regressed after only averaging 6.5 points per game in 16 minutes playing only 15.4 minues in his draft year. Michael Ruzick like Rocco Zikarsky was another preseason lottery prospect that fell in this NBA Mock Draft.

Michael Ruzic showed the ability to make shots from short range, medium range, and long range despite limited minutes. He rebounds well and showcased playmaking as a facilitator passing like a point guard at times. I saw why people put Ruzic in the lottery this fall.

  27. Orlando Magic: Alijah Martin, SG, Florida

The Boston Celtics sent Jeff Teague, a 2025 second round pick, and a 2027 second round pick to the Orlando Magic for Evan Fournier. This trade looks like a wash for both teams right now, but if Orlando can find a gem with either of the Celtics second round picks, they will win this trade.

Orlando gets a shooting guard for depth in the second round. Alijah Martin might be in play here with rumors that Orlando is looking at his teammate Walter Clayton.

The 6-1 208 lb Alijah Martin had 14.4 points per game, 4.5 rebounds per game, 2.2 assists per game, a 45.2% field goal percentage, a 35% three point percentage, and a 76.1% free throw percentage as a senior in 2024-2025. Alijah Maritn complimented Walter Clayton as the second guard on Florida's National Championship winning team.

Alijah Martin can make shots from short range, medium range, and long range. Alijah Martin can defend the 1 at point guard, the 2 at shooting guard, the 3 at small forward, the 4 at power forward, and the 5 at center. Alijah Martin reminds me of Devin Vassill as both a shooter and a defender.

  28. Cleveland Cavaliers: Micah Peavy, SG, Georgetown

Cleveland gets a shooting guard for depth to replace Ochai Agbaji. Another backup shooitng guard behind Donovan Mitchell to replace Agbaji could be added here.

The 6-6 211 lb Micah Peavy had 17.2 points per game, 5.8 rebounds per game, 3.6 assists per game, a 48.1% field goal percengtage, a 40% three point percentage, and a 65.9% free throw percentage as a senior at Georgetown in 2024-2025l Micah Peavy may not be the first player from Georgetown drafted, but he was the Georgetown Hoya's best three point shooter.

Micah Peavy can make shots from short range, medium range, and long range. He makes short range and medium range shots very consistently while his long range shot is inconsistent.

  29. Phoenix Suns: Drake Powell, SG, North Carolina

The Oklahoma City Thunder traded a 2024 second round pick and a 2025 second round pick in the trade where the Oklahoma City Thunder acquirred Dennis Schroeder from the Atlanta Hawks. Atlanta would later trade Frank Kaminsky, their 2024 second round pick and the Oklahoma City Thunder's 2025 second round pick to the Houston Rockets for Bruno Fernando. Houston traded this second round pick to the Phoenix Suns in the trade that sent Kevin Durant from the Phoenix Suns to the Houston Rockets.

Phoenix goes with the best player available. Drake Powell had under 10 points a game as a freshman at North Carolina, but some have Drake Powell getting picked in the late first round.

The 6-5 200 lb Drake Powell Drake Powell is the son of Dedric and Cherice Powell. Dedric Powell played baseball at North Carolina and Cherice was on the Orth Carolina women's basektball team. His older sister played Volleyball at Virginia Tech and Connecticut. His older brother played basketball at North Carolina AT&T and was a three sport athlete in high school. Drake Powell is cousins with North Carolina Tar Heels head coach Hubert Davis. His grandmother is also the aunt of the 2022 NCAA Champion Hubert Davis. Drake Powell had 18.6 points per game, 7 rebounds per game, and 3.9 assists per game as a junior and he playe din the 2024 McDonald's All American game during his senior season as Drake Powell is versatile enough to play both the 2 at shooting guard and the 3 at small forward.

Drake Powell struggled to average 10 points per game as a freshman at North Carolina. He made up for it though with a 37.5 inch vertical at the 2025 NBA Combine.
