  1. Chicago Fire F.C.: Kingsford Adeji, M, Dayton

There are five compensation picks in the 2022 MLS Super Draft following the third round. There is no fourth round in this three round MLS Super Draft, but these five draft picks technically are the fourth round of this draft..

The 5-5 160 lb Kingsford Adeji can play the 7 at right winger, 8 at central midfielder, the 9 at striker, the 10 at attacking midfielder, and the 11 at left winger. I've seen Adeji listed as high as the first round and his tape is good. There are so many good International players in this draft that someone who is a first or second round talent is going to fall to the top of fourth round where Chicago can gamble on someone hoping to land a steal.

Chicago can gamble on that player. Kingsford Adeji would be a sure fire top 15 pick if he reclassified for the 2023 MLS Super Draft. His best year was in 2019 before Covid-19 when he had 11 goals, 3 assists, and 25 points. Kingsfor Adeji hasn't matched his point total since 2019 despite showing amazing versatility, speed, and vision on tape. Adeji only had 5 goals, 4 assists, and 14 poins in the Spring of 2021. Adeji only had 5 goals, 3 assists, and 13 points in the Fall of 2021 so it's easy to fall in love with his highlights without looking at the big picture.

If teams are willing to look past the fact that he hasn't improved since 2019 because they only watched his highlights then he could go early in this draft. He's also capable of falling. I won't bash a team for taking Kingsford Adeji early because he's a soccer player with elite traits as well as a member of the Right To Dream Academy.

  2. Vancouver Whitecaps: Lucas Meek, M, Washington

Vancouver adds a midfielder for depth. Lucas Meek is a great value pick here in the fourth round with one of these five compensation picks near the end of the third round.

The 6-2 160 lb Lucas Meek can play the 8 at central midfielder or the 10 at attacking midfielder. Meek is a good College player that's probably gonna project as a bench player in the pros.

  3. F.C. Dallas: Ben Barkley, M, Tulsa

The 6-1 170 lb Ben Barkley is very versatile. He can play the 7 at right winger, the 8 at central midfielder, the 9 at striker, the 10 at attacking midfielder, and the 11 at left winger. His best fit is at the 8 as a central midfielder, but F.C. Dallas will love his versatility. Ben Barkley had 3 goals, 6 assists, 12 points in the Fall of 2021. Barkley also possesses deadly speed when he gets open in space much like his teammate Alex Meinhard who is the 9 on Tulsa.

  4. Atlanta United F.C.: Andrew Anyafo, D, Mercer

The 6-0 190 lb Andrew Anyafo can play the 2 at right back, the 3 at left back, the 4 at center back, and the 5 at center back as a sweeper. Atlanta United F.C. grabs the second best player in the SoCon Conference with this compensation pick. Andrew Anyafo impressed me on film. If there's one SoCon Soccer player not named Theo Collomb that I'd consider taking later in the draft this is the guy I'd pick.

  5. San Jose Earthquakes: Danny Bloyou, F, Penn State

The 5-8 156 lb Danny Bloyou led Penn State with 8 goals in the Spring. Danny Bloyou only had 4 goals, 7 assists, and 15 points San Jose needs a left winger for depth so they grab Danny Bloyou with this final selection.
