Jacob deGrom stepped up on Wednesday August 12, 2015 against the Colorado Rockies. Calling his game on the mound at Citi Field a career day feels like an understatement.
In 7 innings, Jacob deGrom recorded 10 strikeouts and only surrendered 2 hits in the Mets' 3-0 win over the Colorado Rockies. Jacob deGrom now sits at 11-6 with a 2.03 ERA. Jacob deGrom had a 2.13 ERA heading into this contest.
Having Bartolo Colon, Jacob DeGrom, and Matt Harvey as the top 3 starters in your rotation gives you a deadly rotation. Colon may be the #1 starter in this rotation, but there is no question that deGrom has had the biggest impac t among the starters in the Mets' rotation this season.
