Hendrix Lapierre Hendrix Lapierre is a 6-0 165 lb center. Hendrix Lapierre was the first overall pick in the 2018 QMJHL Draft. He shows flashes of being a top line center. Durability is the biggest concern with Lapierre as he did play his rookie season in the QMJHL with an injury. Hendrix Lapierre had 13 goals, 32 assists, 45 points, and a +5 +/- in 48 games. Lapierre plays with a lot of intensity and is one of the best face off centers in the QMJHL. He struggles with defensive assignments and will work on improving his defensive awareness this upcoming season. Lapierre has potential to be a line 1 center, but projects as a line 3 center at this point. He may need an additional year in the QMJHL for development after getting drafted in the first round of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
