2019 NBA Mock Draft: Final Mock 2 Rounds

Round 2

Chris Ransom follow @DraftUtopia Last Updated: June 20, 2019.

  1. Brooklyn Nets: KZ Opkala, PG, Stanford

The 6-9 215 lb KZ Okpala can play point guard, shooting guard, or small forward with his versatility. He give the Nets great depth off the bench regardless of where he ends up playing plus he's the best player on the baord.

The 20-year-old KZ Okpala averaged 16.8 points per game, 5.7 rebounds per game, 2 assists, a 46.3% field goal percentage, a 67.1% free throw percentage, and a 36.8% three point percentage. Okpala gives Brooklyn someone for depth.

  2. Phoenix Suns: Mfiondu Kabengele, PF, Florida State

The Phoenix Suns have their starting five. Now they get depth players. The 6-10 250 lb Mifondu Kabengele is a good depth player to compliment Marquese Chriss at power forward. His 13.2 points per game, 5.9 rebounds per game, and 50.2% field goal percentage are good. He needs to improve as a passer with his offensive awareness though.

  3. Philadelphia 76ers: Carsen Edwards, PG, Purdue

Philadelphia gets the best player on the board for depth here. Carsen Edwards can be a great sixth man behind Ben Simmons in Philadelphia. The 6-1 200 lb junior averaged 24.3 points per game and having him as a backup behind Simmons gives Philadelphia the ability to shoot at will on their opponents with point guard play like Golden State does.

  4. Philadelphia 76ers: Jontay Porter, PF, Missouri

Philadelphia gets their power forward here. Jontay Porter can be a steal if he stays healthy. That's a big if though with Porter's hisotry of torn ACL's in the family. His older brother Michael Porter Jr. and his two sisters both have had ACL problems in the past.

  5. New Orleans Pelicans: Tacko Fall, C, Central Florida

New Orleans drafts for depth. The 7-7 310 lb lb Tacko Fall would be a good backup for DeAndre Ayton.

  6. Charlotte Hornets: Ty Jerome, PG, Virginia

Charlotte gets their point guard. Ty Jerome is no Kemba Walker, but he may end up starting right away on the Hornets despite being a second round pick if Kemba Walker leaves. Ty Jerome averaged 13.6 points per game, 4.2 rebounds per game, 5.5 assists per game, a 43.5% field goal percentage, a 73.6% field goal percentage, and a 39.9% three point percentage.

  7. Dallas Mavericks: Moses Brown, C, UCLA

The Mavericks finally get their center to round out their starting five with Dennis Smith Jr. at point guard, Luka Doncic at shooting guard, Justin Jackson at small forward, and Kristaps Porzingas at power forward. UCLA center Moses Brown is a 7-foot-1 245 lb center. If Brown plays like he did in High School this will be a steal. If he plays like he did at UCLA the Mavericks will be picking in the lottery again next season until they get a good center.

  8. Chicago Bulls: Kris Wilkes, SF, UCLA

Chicago drafts for depth. One could argue that Kris Wilkes should be drafted higher then UCLA teammate Moses Brown.

  9. New Orleans Pelicans: Amir Coffee, SF, Minnesota

The 6-8 210 lb Amir Coffee can play small forward or shooting guard with his versatility. Coffee had 16.6 points per game, 3.6 rebounds per game, and 3.2 assists per game.

  10. Sacramento Kings: Aubrey Dawkins, SG, Central Florida

Sacramento gets a backup for depth here. The 6-6 205 lb Aubrey Dawkins averaged 15.6 points per game and outscored Tacko Fall at Central Florida making him a great pick for Sacramento at 40.

  11. Golden State Warriors: Jordan Bone, PG, Tennessee

Golden State takes the best player on their board. Now Golden State goes with a point guard for depth with Jordan Bone.

  12. Philadelphia 76ers: Daniel Gafford, C, Arkansas

Philadelphia drafts for depth. Daniel Gafford provides depth at center behind Joel Embiid.

  13. Minnesota Timberwolves: Shamorie Ponds, PG, St. John's

Jeff Teague is playing for a new deal. Minnesota adds Ponds for depth and maybe he can succeed Teague.

  14. Miami Heat: Jaylen Nowell, PG, Washington

Jaylen Nowell is a good two guard and the best player on the board. Miami grabs him at 44.

  15. Detroit Pistons: Jared Harper, PG, Auburn

The Pistons get a point guard for depth behind Reggie Jackson. Jared Harper did well versus Coby White in the NCAA Tournament an d is a good value pick here.

  16. Orlando Magic: Makai Mason, PG, Baylor

Orlando gets a point guard for depth who can push for a starting job. Makai Mason is also the best player on the board so logisically this pick makes a ton of sense for the Orlando Magic.

  17. Sacramento Kings: Zach Norvell Jr., SG, Gonzaga

Sacramento gets the best player for depth once again. Yep a fourth shooting guard that the Kings send to the G-League.

  18. Los Angeles Clippers: Sagaba Konata, C, West Virginia

The Los Angeles Clippers get a center for depth. Center Ivaca Zubac is an RFA. Sagaba Konata is a good player for the Clippers to add for depth.

  19. San Antonio Spurs: Ethan Happ, PF, Wisconsin

The San Antonio Spurs get a towel boy for LaMarcus Aldridge. Enter Ethan Happ.

  20. Indiana Pacers: Terrance Mann, SG, Florida State

Indiana gets a shooting guard for depth. Terrance Mann is a good shooting guard for the Pacers to add for depth.

  21. Boston Celtics: Caleb Martin, SG, Nevada

Boston grabs Caleb Martin for depth. They can send him down to the NBA G League.

  22. Charlotte Hornets: Cody Martin, SF, Nevada

Charlotte grabs Cody Martin for depth. They can send him down to the NBA G League.

  23. Utah Jazz: Tyus Battle, PG, Syracuse

Utah needs a point guard. Tyus Battle may be a viable replacement to Ricky Rubio late in the second round.

  24. Philadelphia 76ers: Bennie Boatwright, SF, USC

Philadelphia gets the best player on the board. Bennie Boatwright gives Philadelphia another potential G-League prospect.

  25. New York Knicks: Eric Paschall, SF, Villanova

New York gets a forward for depth. Eric Paschall can play small forward or power forward with his versatility.

  26. Los Angeles Clippers: Talen-Horton Tucker, SF, Iowa State

Talen Horton-Tucker is the best player on the board. He gives the Clippers nice depth at small forward.

  27. Atlanta Hawks: C.J. Massinburg, PG, Buffalo

Atlanta gets a two guard for depth. C.J. Massinburg can play point guard or shooting guard with his versatility.

  28. Golden State Warriors: Miye Oni, SG, Yale

Golden State gets depth here. Miye Oni can play shooting guard or small forward in a backup role with his versatility.

  29. Toronto Raptors: Tyler Cook, PF, Iowa

Toronto gets a power forward for depth. Tyler Cook is a good rotational player to add for depth.

  30. Sacramento Kings: Mike Daum, PF, South Dakota State

Sacramento gets a power forward for depth. Mike Daum gives the Kings depth at power forward.
