Shaedon Sharpe is the top recruit in the class of 2022 for HS Basketball. Find out why he's the next high end prospect to be coached by John Calipari.

  1. Shaedon Sharpe SG, 6’5 185, From: Glendale, AZ. HS: Dream City Christian

#1 Overall Player and #1 Shooting Guard in class of 2022.

NBA Comparison: Zach LaVine (1st Round Grade) Top 10.

Commitment: Signed with Kentucky on 9/7/21.

Also considered: Arizona, Alabama, Arizona St and Creighton.

Scouting Report: Sharpe is an explosive athlete with a nose for the rim. He loves to catch, face and is tough to stop because of an electric first step and his ability to get downhill, into the lane and then finish around the rim. Over the last year, Sharpe has improved tremendously as a ball handler, pull-up jump shooter and shot maker from beyond the three point line. The improved ball handling has allowed him to be much more creative as a scorer and playmaker for others.

  2. Dereck Lively II- 7'1 220, Center. From: Bellefonte, PA. HS: Westtown School (PA)

#2 Overall Player and #1 Center in class of 2022.

NBA Comparison: NBA Comparison: Tyson Chandler. (1st Round Grade).

Commitment: Signed with Duke on 9/20/21.

Also considered: UK, UNC, DePaul, and Professional leagues.

Scouting Report: One factor that truly stands out to scouts at the highest of levels is his commitment to being a center and playing as such. He values rebounding, sprinting the floor, and keeping his motor running in a high gear. He is dangerous in the screen and roll game and gives across Tyson Chandler vibes due to his length and productivity in the shot blocking and rebounding categories. I however see him with his skills on the perimeter projecting as a big man prospect who could be more of a threat offensively than Chandler was.

  3. Amari Bailey- 6’5 190, Combo Guard. From: Chatsworth, CA. HS: Sierra Canyon (CA)

#3 overall player and #1 Combo Guard in class of 2022.

NBA Comparison: Jordan Clarkson (1st Round Grade).

Commitment: Signed with UCLA on 2/17/21.

Also considered: Alabama, DePaul, Kansas and Illinois.

Scouting Report: Scouting Report: Bailey is an athletic combo guard with high level physical tools. He already has the size, body and athleticism of an older player. Bailey's length, quickness, athleticism and instincts all lend themselves to playing at a high level on the defensive end as he is among the best perimeter defenders in his class.

  4. Keyonte George- 6’4 185, Shooting Guard. From: Bradenton, FL. HS: IMG Academy

#4 overall player and #2 SG in the class of 2022.

NBA Comparison: D'Angelo Russell (1st Round Grade).

Commitment: Signed with Baylor on 8/8/21.

Also considered: Also considered: Kansas, Texas, Kentucky and NC State.

Scouting Report: George is a smooth scoring guard who shows a high level of dedication to the game. He scores within the flow of an offense and can knock down jumpers from all 3 levels of the floor. His effort on defense could improve but he definitely is capable of becoming a solid defender because of the length and lateral mobility he possesses. George's talent, skill level, and scoring touch is undeniable. He has a high ceiling and given the spacing on the floor, he will have a shot at being very productive at the highest level of the sport.

  5. Dariq Whitehead- 6-6 190, Small Forward. From: Newark, NJ. HS: Montverde Academy (FL).

#5 Overall Player and #1 SF in class of 2022.

NBA Comparison: Jarrett Culver (1st Round Grade) Top 10.

Commitment: Signed with Duke on 8/1/21.

Also considered: Florida State, Kansas, Auburn, and Florida.

Scouting Report: He has quick twitch of athleticism. Fast with the basketball and loves to attack the rim, but has a smooth jumper. Three-level scorer. Has a great pull up jumper going left. Solid ball handler and passer who plays with awareness and instincts. Rebounds his position well. Has tremendous potential as a versatile defender.

  6. Chris Livingston- 6’6 200, Small Forward. From: Mouth of Wilson, VA. HS: Oak Hill Academy.

#6 Overall Player & #2 SF in class of 2022.

NBA Comparison: Og Anunoby (1st Round Grade).

Commitment: Signed with Kentucky on 9/15/21.

Also considered: Georgetown, Kansas, Memphis and Tennessee State.

Scouting Report: Has explosive athleticism and can make plays in traffic. Loves to attack the rim. Has a powerful spin move to finish off drives. Shoots it well enough from deep but an area for improvement. Handles well in space but needs to tighten and refine his handle. Active player who comes up with balls off the glass and the floor. Has great potential as a multi positional defender.

  7. Cason Wallace- 6’4 185, Combo Guard. From: Richardson, TX. HS: Richardson (TX)

#7 Overall Player & #2 Combo Guard in class of 2022.

NBA Comparison: Jrue Holliday (1st Round Grade)

Commitment: Signed with Kentucky on 9/7/21.

Also considered: Arizona, Alabama, Arizona St and Creighton.

Scouting Report: He is a comfortable pull up jump shooter who is capable of putting points on the board from all three levels. He also can play on or off the ball and is similarly versatile in terms of his ability to play off a ball-screen or be an effective spot-up player. Wallace has the long-term upside to fill a role at the highest level of the sport for years to come.

  8. Kyle Filipowski- 6-11 230, Center. From: Wilbraham, MA. HS: Wilbraham & Monson Academy (MA).

#8 overall player & #2 Center in class of 2022.

NBA Comparison: Kevin Love (1st Round Grade).

Commitment: Signed with Duke on 9/7/21.

Also considered: Arizona, Alabama, Arizona St and Creighton.

Scouting Report: Filipowski can stretch the floor with his shooting from beyond the arc, but he is also effective at scoring in the interior, whether by posting up his defender or attacking the rim with precision. An extremely skilled 6-foot-10 forward. High IQ, very fluid game, super versatile, rebounds, can handle the ball, and an active shot blocker, one of the most Versatile players in the 2022 cycle.

  9. Nick Smith- 6’4 185, Combo Guard. From: North Little Rock, AR. HS: North Little Rock (AR).

#9 Overall Player and #3 Combo Guard in class of 2022.

NBA Comparison: Pro Comparison: Jalen Green 2.0 (1st Round Grade)

Commitment: Signed with Kentucky on 9/7/21.

Also considered: Will be announcing on Sept 29th and is considering Arkansas, Alabama, Auburn, Kansas and Oklahoma.

Scouting Report: I have seen very few have a scout report on Nick Smith. My report on him is he can score from all 3 levels and his game is evolving as he ages. He also makes everyone around him better, he was a late bloomer as he recently rose from a 4 star to a 5 star top 10 recruit. He is a major asset for whoever lands him. His game is also getting better defensively. He should be a 1st round talent if he continues to trend like he is.

  10. Yohan Traore- 6-10 225, Center From: Glendale, AZ. HS: Dream City Christian (AZ)

10 overall player & #3 Center in class of 2022.

NBA Comparison: Willie Cauley-Stein with some shooting. (2nd Round Grade) .

Commitment: He is still considering Arkansas, Gonzaga, Houston, Kansas & Louisville. With no decision date announced.

Scouting Report: Traore displays a natural shooting touch not only inside but out to 15 feet and he always looks dunk everything he possibly can while operating inside or in the dunker spot. He also has great hands, is a solid rebounder, and runs the floor with purpose. Traore has the size, mobility, and skill as a big man that high major guards would love to play with.
