Nashville Predators Rally Back On The Road

Anaheim scored first in game 5 of the 2017 Western Conference Finals. Chris Wagner put Anaheim ahead early. That didn't matter that much though since Colin Wilson tied the game at 1 heading into the second intermission.

Filip Forsberg got his 13th point of the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoff in the Predators 15th game of the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs with an assist. That put Nashville ahead 2-1. Nashville also got an empty net goal late in the third period. It was the first empty net goal during the entire 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs. That's the amazing thing that really blew me away.

Goaltender Pekka Renne was 32/33 tonight. He played fantastic at goalie when you consider Anaheim outshot Nashville 33-29 despite losing by two goals. Renne is one game away from getting the chance to play in the Stanley Cup, and there is no question that Renne will win the Conn Smythe Trophy.

Nashville leads the series 3-2. The series heads back to Nashville on Monday Night, where the Predators can win their first Conference Championship in franchise history in front of their home fans.
