Toronto Raptors Advance to First NBA Finals

Both teams went back and forth in the first quarter. It was tied at 16-16 with 3:50 left in the first quarter before Milwaukee went on a 15-2 run to end the first quarter leading 31-18 after one quarter of play.

Milwaukee led by 7 at halftime despite Toronto outscoring the Bucks 25-19. Milwaukee led 50-43 at halftime.

Milwaukee led 76-61 in the third quarter. The Bucks led by as many as 15 points at one point. Toronto went on a 10-0 run to end the third quarter. Milwuaukee led 76-71 after three quarters of play.

Toronto continued their run into the fourth quarter. The Raptors would eventually tie the game at 78 and score five more before Milwaukee scored again. Toronto had a 23-2 at one point and once they gained the lead in the fourth quarter, Toronto kept up their momentum and did not take their foot off the gas pedal.

Toronto defeated Milwaukee 100-94. Toronto Raptors small forward Kawhi Leonard had 27 points and 17 rebounds. Thirteen of those seventeen rebounds were defensive rebounds with the other four being offensive rebounds.

Golden State will head to Toronto on Thursday. Toronto has a better starting five then Golden State if DeMarcus Cousins and Kevin Durant miss any time. Cousins may return for game 1 on Thursday which would be just the fuel Golden State needs to steal a road win in Canada.
