Ottawa defeated one intense opponent in the Boston Bruins. They did the same with the New York Rangers.

Ottawa took a 2-0 lead early in the first period. New York made it a one goal game thanks to Mike Zibanejad. Zibanejad's goal didn't really make a difference when you consider that Erik Karlsson put Ottawa up 3-1 to lead by two goals in the second period.

New York scored early in the third period to make it a one goal game. Mark Stone had another huge assist to make it 4-2. Ottawa won by the score of 4-2 as well as the series 4-2 over the Rangers to reach the Eastern Conference Finals. Ottawa has a chance to return to the 2017 Stanley Cup for the first time in ten years.
