San Jose's constant turnovers and give aways doomed them in game 4 even though they outshot the Penguins and out hit the Penguins in game 4 of the 2016 Stanley Cup Finals.
Matt Murray was great, but not remarkable with San Jose outshooting the Penguins 24-20. He was spectacular, but not brilliant or flawless. Pittsburgh's defense led by Kris Letang deserves huge credit for helping out in game 5 of the 2016 Stanley Cup Finals.
Phil Kessel had 2 critical assists to set things up for a 2-0 Penguins lead. Evgeni Malkin was successful once again with a fantastic game 4.
San Jose made it a 1 goal game in the third period. Eric Fehr sealed San Jose's fate as the Penguins won game 4 of the 2016 Stanley Cup Finals.
Logan Couture, his grotesque mouthguard, and disgruntled playoff beard were all equally lost against the Penguins tonight. Unless San Jose can take a page from the Golden State Warriors and come back 3 to 1 like they did in the Western Conference Finals, Pittsburgh will win the 2016 Stanley Cup Finals with a 3-1 series lead.
