Welcome to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants team page. Here you will find out about everything going on about the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
Fort Wayne Mad Ants Will Not Repeat In 2014-2015
The Fort Wayne Mad Ants will enter the year as the favorite to repeat in the NBA D League. Fort Wayne is in a competitive division with Canton and Erie, and they have lost all of there players from last years title team except 2 backups with Chris Porter and Ramon Harris. Porter will likely start at small forward with Harris playing shooting guard because Harris can play shooting guard or small forward.
Myck Kabongo will start at point guard after spending last season with the Austin Toros now known as the Austin Spurs. Shooting guard David Teague may start if they keep Harris at forward. Teague will likely be a backup. Another bench player that may stand out is former Syracuse small forward C.J. Fair.
The Mad Ants have two other starters to keep an eye on. Nigerian power forward Chu Maduabum and center Kyrie Sutton will start for the Mad Ants this season.
I think Fort Wayne is good enough to return to the playoffs and possibly win the opening round. At the end of the day, someone will keep the Mad Ants from repeating because this team does not have the same scorers from last season that ignited during the teams playoff run. Guys like Tony Mitchell and point guard Ron Howard that scored for the Mad Ants in the playoffs are no longer on the team.
